Was just reading an article that the Legend Graeme Souness had spoke about, He stated Rangers are a Monster Club and given a level playing field and resources if playing in the EPL, They would no dought be challenging for the title, Never a truer word spoken Sir. 🇦🇺🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⚽️🇬🇧👍.

I agree with what he says and that would include both celtic and ourselves. There's not many teams in the EPL with a fan base the size of ours. You could go to most Cities across the world and you will find a rangers or celtic suporters club.
Go outside London I doubt there's many spurs or Arsenal etc supporters clubs.

This is old hat stuff there have been big clubs in England getting mega bucks for years and done nothing so having most fans and loads a dosh won't make you challengers.

Grangemouth I think it would give you a good chance off winning. If you could buy the best players available Surely 🇦🇺🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⚽️🇬🇧👍.

Knows where his bread is buttered? Didn’t stop him deserting Rangers as soon as Liverpool came calling.

Deserting rangers? 🤔 Souness had taken the club as far as he could.
We had a ready made replacement in Walter Smith, who turned out to be an even better manager for us.
Souness was a great manager and a brilliant player. He even says in his interview he supports rangers first, then Liverpool.

It gives you a much better chance Blackness. How many small teams win the EPL. One Leicester and they done it with a billionaire owner. So yes a big fan base and a big bag of cash deffinately helps.

Mr grumpy souness hadn’t taking us as far as he could that's BS but he deserted us at the time and they were a hell of of a lot of unhappy fans at the time he did that.

KJA9

Spot on mate to suggest he had taken us a far as he could is utter rubbish. As you say a lot of Rangers fans were up in arms about it at the time and he left us at a very crucial part of the season. Isn’t it odd that some Rangers fans want to re write history.

Truebluesotrue

Doubt very much Gerrard would go from us to Liverpool without going to another EPL team first. Maybe a Leeds or Aston Villa. The gap is too big between managing Rangers to managing Liverpool.

Biffo i guarantee you that the reason graeme souness left rangers was because he was sick of the sfa and the continual spats he had with them and that's why he chose to go to liverpool as their manager! Your correct KJA9,he didn't leave because he'd taken us as far as he could 👍
He hated the SFA and the way he felt they were victimising him and rangers that's spot on!

It's all about opinions on here. Souness was fantastic for us but in my opinion he'd taken us as far as he could 😉
Isn't it odd that some fans describe one of managers leaving as 'deserting' the team/ club? 🤔
Especially when history shows how well we did after he left with Walter Smith as manager?
