Every rangers fan i know were absolutely digusted with the treatment of our player Glen Kamara and obviously quite rightly so. But will all these folk that are rightly upset and disgusted stop singing certain songs at the games or in pubs b4 the games?

It's as much a society problem as a football problem.
Nobody is born a racist or bigot.
Maybe the club needs to start hammering the culprits more?

Real chance here Paul86. The club could take massive strides forward by publicly distancing themselves and calling out such behaviour. I think a lot more fans than you might think would be accepting of the move.

100% with you there Paul and have brought it up on here and I very much doubt it because they still don’t think they are doing anything wrong because they have sung these songs for years.

I don’t know about anyone else but I don’t want anyone at ibrox that sing these songs.

Not a chance Paul. There is a small minority who have no interest in changing no matter what punishments the club receive.

The only way we can get rid is for other fans to name and shame, take videos on their phones at games and send to the club - the club must then ban them.

Very true but where do we draw the line.

Even on here we see the bigotry calling them Tims etc. and them calling us Rangers on their site.

Seems to me the main bitter rivalry between celts and Rangers started when celts club was formed by priests while Rangers were mainly church of Scotland supporters.

Yes I admit to being one who have named celts timco on here.

Will bigotry ever end guys? .

100% agree with you all. The club should make a statement telling the fans the Billy boys etc are not acceptable at ibrox. The fans could also play a part in pointing others involved out to the police. It's got a lot better even over the last 5 years imo.

By the way Ed, you altered my post to them calling us "h*ns" on their site to "Rangers".

If the word h*n is offensive in your eyes, why is it allowed on celts site my friend? .

{Ed001's Note - I never altered it, the swear filter did, as it is supposed to, before it reaches me. It is supposed to do that on all sites, they are all set the same as it is an overall filter for all our sites, but it is just so finicky. It shouldn't be allowed on any site, unless used in regard to Attila etc, but it is meant to get picked up by the filter so we don't tend to look for it. I will have to ask Ed033 to have a look at why it is letting through on there but not on here. Might be just some kind of issue with the coding.}

{Ed001's Note - yeah it shouldn't show up, but we do have a lot of problems with the filter as it will sometimes let a word through and other times change it even in the same sentence. I don't know why, but it just seems to only change what makes it most confusing for us editors!}

guys we have to take unilateral action, we can't wait until others decide to clean their act up, however you will find if one does it puts more pressure on the others to tidy up.

it will take time but if zero tolerance is used and a few are punished hard its amazing how quick it will change. i stopped going in the late 80s to celtic games as a) i was embarassed b) i actually was intimated by our own supporters around me and disgusted at the bile.

my wife and her family are catholic, not scottish but religion is never ever mentioned between us, there is no need. are they different to me, no of course they are not.

its not acceptable in this day and age and needs to stop.
