RANGERS statement:-

We remain disappointed in the result. Furthermore, we believe this outcome highlights the inconsistency of decision making in the Scottish FA's disciplinary process.

We are cognisant that the approach taken by other football associations across Europe has no resemblance to that of the Scottish FA. We urge the Scottish FA to be open minded to learn from other football authorities.

We now focus on Sunday's quarter final at Ibrox.

Spot on. No Leicester player banned. Just hope Tavernier is fully fit as Patterson is a big loss.

Whats the point in another statement? They deserved the ban. The club played the game by delaying process in time for tav to get back fit. Done its job no real need forna statement.

Paul86 the statement is 100% needed mate. Not one person is disagreeing with the fact that they deserve to be punished and deserve a ban

The issue is the length of ban and inconsistences with it

Bolingoli - goes to spain, back mixes with team mates, plays against kille - 3 match

Aberdeen 8 - all mix in a public bar - 3 game suspended ban

Duffy - flies back on commerical flight wiht general public, plays next game

Dubia debacle - not one single player banned

Jones Edmundson - house party, didn't mix with rest of squad, 7 match ban

C.V. 5 - house party, players already in bubble, don't mix with squad - 6 match ban

wheres the consistency? that's the issue mate, not the ban itself

yes aberdeen and celtic players had to isolate and missed games but that's complety different from being suspended and punished.

jbf500, completely agree, very inconsistent. Ban them? yes, but make it consistent with previous bans.

Why didn't we make the same fuss about JJ and big George? I'd be very unhappy with the club if I was either one of them. Club is at the wrong because of the way both of 5hem players were treated.

Bolingoli was at the very start so everybody was a bit unsure. Same as aberdeen.

Duffy should have had to isolate.

No player got banned from dubai as it was through clubs instructions. They did miss 2 games tho through isolation all the folk that tested positive or in contact. Jones and all our players got a fair ban imo. they knew punishments would be stricter after prevoius rule breaks by tims and aberdeen.

For me it’s pointless bringing in other nations as SFA/ spfl set the standard at the start of the season with bans.

Anyone complaining about this ban why did no one complain about the ban given to jones and edmundson and why did rangers accept it as well when it was even worse 7 games?

Is it because rangers new those two wouldn’t play any games anyway?

Are we taking this stand because they players now banned we do play?

If that’s the case it looks bad on rangers.

Bassey and Zungu have hardly featured.
Paterson has only featured because of an injury to Tav.
The other 2 of the CV 5 are out on loan.
Jones featured for 170 minutes in 4 appearances.
Edmundson featured 104 minutes in 2 appearances.
None ( or only Patterson ) of the 7 are key members of the match day squad.
Plus both scenarios are different.
The CV 2 broke the sporting bubble by going to a party with members of the public.
The CV 5 enjoyed a meal with their girlfriends in each others company.
The club is only complaining about the consistency of punishment.

MPH the C.V. 5 broke the rules the same as the 2 doesn’t matter who’s at the party it’s still a party that they weren’t allowed to have.
