I see that the clubs have voted in favour of letting us and celtics reserve teams join the lowland league for 1 season.
This can only be a good thing for both clubs and the league. Our young players will benefit by playing against grown men at a decent level and the clubs themselves will benefit from more fans at their games. Win win for everyone.

Do the colt teams get promoted if they win the league and what's the highest league they can get too I'm sure the wouldn't be able to get promoted past league 1.

It's just for 1 season so I don't think they would get promotion. At least it gets the ball rolling and better than nothing.

Hi Ed and guys,

Do you mind if I but in and reply to Tomthumb way down this list last night.

He asked where in Glasgow he could find Ayrshire Girvan tatties.

Cant guarantee it but Asda stock them in my area (when they are available) , so would assume they buy full crops for their stores in Scotland.

Thanks Ed and guys if you post this.

Cheers all.

No I don't think colts team gets promoted, I'm sure that was part of the deal. Its great for our club and the development of our young players. 👍.

Don't see the point really. As Deemc22 says, how far up the pyramid could they be promoted? Into the Premiership alongside the first teams? Silly idea.

They can’t be promoted
It’s a platform for the players to play regular competitive football to a certain degree
I think it is and will be good for them.

The whole point of it Doiger is to give the boys that are over 18 yrs old a team to play in a league. After the under 18s there is no leagues for them to play in. It has nothing to do with gaining promotion its purely for player development. Yes they can go out on loan but it's much better if they are trained by our own because they will be played in the same formation as our 1st team and learn how the gaffer wants them to play. This doesn't happen if they play under a different manager they are loaned out to.

Doiger have to disagree mate. There is no reserve league so the young lads we bringing through aren't getting chance to play against real men and grizzled vets that wil ltoughen them up

Having the colts team playin regulary is a massive bonus for their development.

What point don’t you see doiger? I’m struggling to see the point in you saying you don’t see the point? Lol.

Only for one season at the moment and no they can’t get promoted.

Simple. Reinstate the reserve league. I am entitled to my opinion.
