Imho we are going to have a problem next season after watching the game tonight, Patterson is too good to be sitting on the bench?
As for Billy Gilmour would take him in a minute Chelsea must be so well stocked with midfield players that he's not quated.

Patterson won’t play before Tav and we’ve as much chance of getting Gilmore as getting Messi 😂 he’s top class!

It’s a bigger problem if yo have average players on the bench.

Think he means patterson might get itchy feet sitting on bench next season and want to be playing every week.

That should be the same with every single player Paul, they should all want to play

Or we do have a problem.

Tav better be on top of his game next season if he's not sold because Patterson is going to push him all the way. Me personally would love it if Patterson could take the position from Tav and make it his own. I've got nothing against Tav but you can't beat one of our own playing for the team he has supported from birth.

Patterson does need to play to continue his progression:

Billy gilmour wanted to come to rangers on loan in January but Chelsea didn’t want to send him on loan to anyone as he is that highly thought of down there.

That came from Billy himself he also said rangers done a lot better than what was reported out of him signing for Chelsea.

I get scrambled egg's point. A Scottish internationalist footballer with a fantastic future won't be happy benched. We should cash in on Tavernier and Barisic while we can for top dollar and play Patterson and buy Doig. Both 19 but great players.

Just my opinion but Patterson is a all round better player.

He definitely is deemc22. Tavernier has had to work hard to get to the level he’s at now, that’s him in his late 20s. Patterson is way better than what tav was like in his mid 20s 👍.

Tav probably helps Patterson big time with advice etc and it looks to me Patterson's based his game on tavs. Patterson has loads of time to develop, as he gets more games I'm sure stevie g will fully trust him so by rotating the positions some times it keeps every1 fit and on there toes.2 players for every position. personaly I'd sell bassey and bring in doig and rotate the left back position also.

Great to see a lot of love for Paterson, especially from those who were prepared to chase him out the club after his indiscretion.
You don't give young talented players away after a mistake at a young age.
He's too good to go out on loan.
Tough decision for the management on how to give him game time next season so that his development isn't held back.

There is no argument imho. Tav numbers last season where scary, one of the main cogs in one of the best defences in Rangers history, plus prob holds the record for goals scored and assits from a full back in one season and all of that on top of being out for a couple of months.

Young Patterson is a fine young prospect and will keep Tav on his toes, but he is still far from the finished artical. Opposing Players in the league have yet to adapt to Patterson style of play and will learn how to play him and exploit his weaknesses. When they do, we will see what young Patterson is made of and how he will adapt his own game to keep progressing.
