Setting aside any dislike of Steve Clarke for whatever reason, does anyone agree with me that he has done a fine job as Scotland manager so far? Two defeats in 16 games is very good. There are some exciting young players like Patterson, Gilmour and Turnbull in the squad as well as more experienced players such as Tierney and Robertson. I think we can cause a shock at the Euros including against the Auld Enemy at Wembley! Thoughts Bears?

No, I don't think he's done a good job.
9 wins ( excluding penalty shoot out win again best Serbia ) in 22 games.
Only got the Nation League play off because of Big Ecks previous efforts.
It's ok saying we have talented youth - but will he play Gilmour and Patterson?
Beat by Russia ( twice ) , Belgium ( twice, no shame ) , Israel and Slovakia.

I can see us scraping through as a third placed team. England are not as good as their press make them out to be, and could be there for the taking.

Let's be honest, qualifying for the finals is like winning the tournament for us. It won't stop me supporting them though!

I don't agree with you DD1980,that scotland will get pumped at the euros mate! If we can get 3 points in our opening game against the czech republic, which i think we will do,
then we'll have a good chance of reaching the next round 🤞I think england will win the group, but for me 2nd place is very much up for grabs and without question in my eyes 👀 achieveable 👍.

Clarke is the type of manager that can get a tune out of most things, Doiger. Especially empty whisky bottles. Hope the hotel is well stocked 😂 Joking aside, he has done well and might cause an upset or two. I still think England have far too much though.

He has done an ok job but let’s be honest the only reason we are at the euros is because uefa made it easier to get there it’s that simple.

I am not usually a defeatist but I will be pleasantly surprised if we don’t get humped . The best we can hope for i think is a draw against the cheqs.

I know a helluva lot of scottish football fans who support scotland first and foremost, but will also support/ want the other 3 home nations to do well, except if they're playing scotland! What do we all think on here regarding this fellow bears 🤔.

I agree Doiger that he's doing a good job and the fact he's got us qualified for a major tournament is fantastic. I always have and always will support any Scotland manager or player regardless of who they are. The future is looking very good for our national team with all the young talent we now have. I can't understand why some don't support your country but each to their own. I was born a Scotland and Rangers fan and nothing will ever stop me from supporting both teams no matter what.
SGL to be honest I take great joy when England get beat and always support whoever they are playing. They always have and will be our biggest rivals so there's no way I could ever wish success for them. I love English people but when it comes to football then that love goes out the window. As for Wales and NI then it really doesn't bother me too much win loose or draw I'll not loose any sleep.

England have got some brilliant game changer players in there sqaud but agreed southgate ain't the man. personaly think there selection for the euros is shocking but the players selected are still capable on there day. personaly think its 1 of 3 tho. france, Spain or Portugal. england to make the semis.

Steve Clark’s a walloper he’s so Celtic it’s unreal! How did Jamse Forrest even get in the squad with no football last season (Ryan Fraser also) how bad does Calum Mcgregor have to play before he gets left out? Craig Gordon had a bang average season in the championship still no1. I’d bet my house Gilmour, Mctominay, Patterson will play second fiddle to Christie, Mcgregor, O’Donnell and the likes and we won’t win a game it’ll be draws and defeats I’m sorry to say. Where is Matt Ritchie, Ryan Gauld, Lawrence shankland.

Three Cheers, i don't mind the english team/ players, its the biased media coverage that gets my back up at times! I'm pro scottish but in no way anti english! I have english relations/ family, who i care for very much 👍I don't think england will win the euros but they'll never have a better chance, as practically all their games will be at wembley and they most definitely have the talent within their ranks to win it 🤔I'll tell you one thing they're tops at is their kits 😁England have the two smartest kits IMO, in the competition 🤔England always have very smart kits TBH 👌🇬🇧.

Seriously though there's been some crazy sporting results due to the environment right now, only yesterday John Rahm was going into the final round at the Memorial Golf Tournament 6 shots clear only to be told he had tested positive for C.V., and that was the end for him.
So it wouldn't surprise me if none of the usual suspects won it.

Listen guys. Firstly, I was born in Dundee and I am a loyal Rangers fan because my grandad played for the Gers many years ago and am a passionate Scot. I have lived in England since 1984 and have many English friends, one or two of whom have passed along the way. But I hate England with a passion when it came to sport. Afterwards, all mates at the bar. Separate the two. Scotland will do well at the Euros.

Given that I am not a Scotland Fan, (a matter of birth), I can hopefully comment as a neutral! Given the improved quality of player now available to Scotland, (principally those players plying their trade in England), I reckon that they have a reasonable chance of progressing. Clarke has done a decent job, he just needs to avoid any paper hype regarding over rated Celtic players that certainly do not merit being in the starting line up and on a totally bias basis I would like to see Paterson start at right back. Clarke has managed to get guys like Dykes to play above his ability although, if he plays against Croatia and England he will need to improve his goal scoring skills since he was poor against Luxembourg. I certainly believe that England are over hyped and not as good as the press down here would like to make out.
