Did not see match today but have just seen post match interview with our manager. Which of our players were "jumping out of tackles".

Bankie Wright and Middleton both jumped out of tackle for their goal, Middleton imo was very poor at left back.
Also poorest Wright has been since we signed him.

Didn't see anyone jumping out of tackles but there is a bit of work to be done. Lundstram played right of the 3 in centre midfield but always wanted to play wide right. He cut the channel between Tav and Roofe and he clearly needs to learn the system which is to be understood.

Yes moc I thought lundstrum hugged line troops much thus preventing tav getting up the park, will be sorted after a few games and training games.

Although I think Middleton has played LB before I don't think that's his natural position.
Preseason games are for getting players match fit and used to formations.
Lots to look forward to this season.

There was no understanding between the players today, they looked lost. It wasn't pretty to watch. Very unsettled. I don't understand Gerrard playing Middleton, Barker and Jones if they're potentially on the way out. They certainly did nothing to merit a first team spot. I just don't understand his team selection today. The performance was bordering on embarrassing. Yes by all means try out a few up and coming talents .

Part but team Gerrard needs to start playing the starting 11 to get game time n stop giving the duds time if he wants to se them play set up more friendlys for them and the youth to play in.
