Regarding big katic fellow bears, i certainly wouldn't be giving up in him as there's without question for me, the makings of a good centre half within the big fella 🤔
Sure katic has to definitely brush up on his ball distribution and his decision making and cut the rashness out of his game 🤔 Having said that he has good attributes for a centre half like his ability in the air and is a very imposing, strong centre half! With the coaching of gerrard, beale and co i think they can polish off his rough edges and improve the big man into a really good rangers centre half 👌I agree with a good few on here that it's best for katic to go out on loan to gain much needed first team game time,
especially after his very bad cruciate knee ligament injury 🤔 I certainly wouldn't be giving up on the big fella, as he can be with improvement, become a very good centre half for us 👌 Our legendary 9 in a row captain big richard gough thinks there's the makings of a very good centre half in big katic 🤔.

MPH usually has stats, many games did we lose with katic in the team compared to when he wasn't? My opinion is we have moved forward as a side since he has been injured. He isn't going cut it for us.

Agreed with most SGL. Katic is a good centre back already but has a tendency to dive in. That can be coached out of him. With regards to a loan I'm not so sure. I think to get the benefit of our great coaching team he's best to stay with us for now.

If his positioning was on par with Goldson imo Katic is the better player. Seriously quick and great in the air. Hope he comes through the injury.

My issue with Katic is that he has had over a year on the sidelines after his injury.
The deficiencies you mention SGL will not have been eradicated.
He needs a loan spell to be playing regularly - he won't get that at Rangers as he will be behind Goldson, Helander, Simpson, Balogun and possibly even Edmundson.
That's not to say after game time elsewhere he couldn't force his way back into the centre of our defence. My only major worry is his distribution as Gerrard likes to play out from the back. Though I for one would be over the moon if he made it with us after the effort he has put in to getting back to full fitness. He would certainly be s huge physical presence at the back!

I don't think I need to check stats Sweep1 - we went through the full domestic league unbeaten last season without Katic.
I've no doubt if he had been fit last season he would have played a part in that.
And I'm in a slight agreement with you in that it might be too late for him as we have moved on as a side.
That's why I think a loan spell would be his best option.
Does he get in the side before Goldson and Helander? Definitely not.

I for one would certainly keep a hold of katic, a loan may benefit him but i could see him as a squad player for us this season n mabey give him loan in january if need be, he could pos be our 3rd best centre half, and stats won't show much as the year before katic was injured goldston wasnt exactly a stand out himself. Our team has progressed the year he was out a yr injured, All over the park. I think it would be hugely beneficial to katic training with rangers in training everyweek where our coaches can keep close tabs on him, he would also be mastering his defensive skills against high quality attacking mids and best strikeforce in scotland. If he can hold his ground against our attacking players it would do his development a world of good, people say he is not young anymore at24, but he was out for 1yr tht would make him 23 when injured. N at tht time a lot of our players who weren't standouts then are standouts now. Playing and testing himself against best players in training will benefit him as team has changed since he was injured. The guy obv has ambition as u can clearly see he hasn't just bn sitting waiting on recovery. He has put in a lot of Hardwork and looks like a Tank tht won't be bullied by defenders and he is also good in the air. I don't see keeping him as a risk either what if we get injuries at centre half, people already saying simpson won't cut it, balogun getting on but still good player. Keep the man at all cost would hate to move him on early and regret it. Have faith give him a chance. I honestly can see him in a dominating gers defence in a couple yrs. If he was to go on loan to gain match fitness it should be no longer thn 6mnths in my opinion, need him training with us getting to no his players, surroundings, and learn his defensive game playing against best attacking team in the country. I certainly would keep him, if he comes good its not money wasted as no transfer outlay n could make us afew bob in years to come. If gough see's something in him then tht says it all someone who bled rangers blood and best gers centre half for his era 👌.

Yeah Coop, Big Katic is worth keeping and has the potential to be a great player for us although it a tough injury to recover from! The problem really for us is Goldson and if he wants to run his contract out he needs to be moved on in the last year of his contract! You look at Ajer (big dumpling) and the Tim’s are wanting 15million?
Who would you rather Ajer or Goldson although I understand Ajer is younger but in my opinion is not good enough ✌️.

Disagree that Katic is better than Goldson who has improved 10 fold in the last 18 months.

I don't think we need to move him on as he can play a big part for us getting CL money for 2 years in a row. I certainly wouldn't be taking 4 million for Goldson when he can potentially help make us 60 million with qualification to CL. Him in helander must stay at all costs imo.

Why u having a go at me DK, for a start gough is a defender, so knows the position better thn most. My opinion wasn't based on goughs its based on my own read what i wrote n tell me i'm wrong but state which part. I never once stated he will be a mainstay standout regular. Just tht he has the potential to be, just like goldston is now as before this season many said he was a bombscare himself, keep katic give him a chance as i believe he will be our best defender in a couple of years, n i mean defender someone who defends, not ball playing defender. He will have ball playing defender beside him to compliment his defending capabilities. By god support our players. We can't sign ready made champs league quality when we are skint so let's help what we have got develop n give them a chance. Atleast katic ain't a 6ft4 snowflake tht will get bullied by forward like tht french guy from celts, katic will be our rock soon when goldston moves on.
