Very good article in today's Sun detailing the letter sent out to SPFL clubs by Rangers' MD Stewart Robertson. It does raise questions such as did the SPFL know about Rangers' conflict of commercial interests concerns while negotiating with Cinch and did they tell Cinch about them? If they didn't then that is out of order but probably typical of the SPFL's ineptness. It is Douglas Park's relationship with Rangers that is the at the core of the conflict of interests. The article also states that an introductory third party agency stands to collect £100,000 per year out of the deal for doing precisely nothing, money that won't be going to help the clubs.

Aye there are always vultures circling around anywhere they can get a free meal DOIGER mate and that includes football clubs.

We will never forget C Whyte for example.

Tomket must have put in the contract that they don't want any other automotive sponsor because not long ago we had a ladbrokes logo on the sleeve and 32red across the front with both being betting companies and it wasn't a problem.

Didn't know that John25. Are they one of the club's sponsors or is some other sort of deal?

100k p year to the 'consultants'
I think the teams only get 120 or 130k per year
Doncaster gets over 300k per year as a salary
Yep another great deal.

Without knowing the full contract details, is the Cinch deal only for SPFL 12 clubs? Or is it over all the leagues?
Regardless of the deal, it appears Rangers questioned it before it was signed and the SPFL board didn’t do anything…. Also Rangers quite right to inform all 41 clubs of our stance, as Murdoch Mac wrote to them all with the boards unhappiness about Rangers stance.
Remember this lot allowed Dundee to u- turn the vote with the infamous missing email that never arrived? ….
Time Doncaster went….

4 Lads had a dream explained this very well yesterday, if we had complied with this Cinch deal we would have been in Conflict of Interest with (now I know from John, Tomket Tyres), and would also have broken Rule 17. These people at the SPFL have screwed up again, how much more do Doncaster and McLennan get away with.

I’m no mathematical genius, but 1.6 mill a year divided by 42 equates to let’s say not a lot, although smaller clubs would disagree…. It’s not really a good deal compared to other leagues around Europe.
It’s time for the SPFL tboard to go…. also the consultants company get 100,000 a year off the pot, yeah good deal Mr Donkeycaster ……even less money then for clubs. Hope Rangers don’t support it and Cinch pull out and then it must be time to get rid of them ….

I say very well done Rangers for contesting the apparent Cinch deal. Doncaster thinks he's done well for Scottish football. Once again he's only thinking about himself. When is he actually going to do something Positive for Scottish football, when is he going to do the right thing and step down. The guy is clueless, absolutely clueless.
