Hi guys. I think it's funny when people go on about us not reaching cl. How much money we have missed out on and so on.

We are in a position where we are guaranteed European football.

It's mostly ex players from the other side that are going on about it but its all deflection from the fact they haven't managed it ether in the last 4 or 5 years.

Your right Stephen, the stick our club gets is beyond the pale. The ex players/ pundits from other clubs are only looking for issues in Rangers. Keith Jackson article last week and this weeks are a disgrace as an excuse for journalism. The media have flung the Toys out the Priam re Rangers not giving them access. We’ll pay the money it’s simple. They now think they can just stir things up and constantly criticise our club.
Ignore the noise and don’t by into their paranoia about all things Rangers you read.
The press here are a disgrace. 🇬🇧55 to be 56.

I find it a bit strange why you find it funny that we failed to qualify for the CL. I certainly can't see the funny side on missing out on millions of pounds and playing against the big boys of European football.
Who cares if they failed in the past its about us and what we do and we messed up big time against 10 men and an average side in Malmo. That's a massive failure no matter what way you look at it. You seem to be the one deflecting from what happened and why you find it funny is beyond me because there's a massive difference from missing the CL compared with the other European comps. Many millions of pounds of a difference.

Totally agree Stephen. Last year when they got ko from the CL, you never seen one media article linking any of the so called superstars eddy, Ajer, McGregor ect being linked with a move away. Fast forward 12 month we get ko and low and behold morelas, Kent, Tav, and Hagi all either want away or will be sold and for ridiculously low fees if you believe what they print.
Imho this is all media nonsense designed for one reason only and that is to unsettle our best players and to drive the transfer fees down for our players.

Just a couple of small examples of this is their new Japanese boy will be a 30 mill player. Yet morelas 14 mill, Kent, 12 mill and Hagi 4 mill.

Morelas 3 years left on his contract, consistently in top 2 of top goal scorers, one of the top strikers in last seasons europa league campaign, vital part of our invincible league win, Colombian internationalist. Vs French eddy 1 year left on his contract, Wanting away, constantly slated for not being interested and downing tools, thus letting his team down, total failure in europa league and CL and at 23 can still only manage the French u21s as deemed not good enough for a full cap even in friendlies. Yet valued at 10 more than Morelas according to our Celtic loving media.

But the facts are if it keeps getting reported on various media platforms and from ex rangers hating players and managers that morelas is worth 14 mill (and I've even seen go down to 8 mill) then that's what clubs will offer. Rangers will say no and we are left with a potentially unhappy player.
Imo our club and SG ect should be highlighting this is what's happening at every opportunity.

Obviously we all wanted CL and it would have made a huge difference financial and status wise but I very much doubt we will have set our budgets based on qualifying. We are in the same position now as we were last season plus haven't spent the 10mill or so we have spent the last couple of seasons. With matchday income due back I can only see us being better off.

Income is coming in. 2 euro ties over 2 million, approximately 400k from Dunfermline game mb wee bit more from livi cup tie.
Qualify for Europa group stages potentially 5 million gate money and then add prize money, all much needed.

Its a european competition so would expect sides to show interest. Were not good enough to win that either with likes of spurs in it. Still a decent calibre of side will be in groups. But fully expect us to make EL group stages. If we lost to aleshkert would be up with with progres result.

Failing to qualify for ECL was a major disappointment. Failure to qualify for the Europa group stage will be a disaster. Unproven, but don’t believe media value of Conference League will be great and unlikely all matches will be sellouts.

Regardless of where rangers play or whom we play there will always be interest. I will be there, Come rain sun or shine. We have dragged ourselves up from the lowest league to champions. We will always follow follow rangers every where anywhere we will follow on. Don't care what competition we are in, as long as we are in it.

I think the new europa conference league will be a huge success and widely accepted by every club who makes into the group stages. Especially your smaller clubs who have an unrealistic chance of the europa league. 6 European ties for the fans and 3 guaranteed full houses for the home ties. Teams like Hearts n Hibs for example making the groups will bring in a few extra million quid which is massive for them and can only benefit the smaller clubs across Europe. I can see it being a success.

Bankie it would be brutal yes. have looked at the prize money and its pretty much the same as europa. Europa group stages u get 3.5 mill. conference u get 3mill. And if were in europe no matter what competition we would sell stadium out no bother.
