Seems some people on here find it difficult to accept a Rangers supporter criticising a player's ability or performance level. And apparently if you do that, you are automatically deemed to be either a lesser supporter or a Celtic supporter in disguise neither of which is true. If i see a player like Itten or Sadiq or Barker or Pena etc ( not fair to include Itten with these guys) then i am not going to heap praise on them am I? Surely one should be honest about what one sees in front of your own eyes. I have seen some great players in my time, players like Wullie Henderson, Michael Mols, Mark Hateley, Brian Ludrup etc etc so its hard to accept lesser players or worse still players that don't perform and just collect huge salaries. don't ask me to pretend I rate them.

I know we don't have the financial clout of days gone by, so have to accept lower standards, but this idea that you are somehow a lesser supporter if you don't consider a player good enough for Rangers is nonsense. Perhaps I am the real supporter, someone who wants and expects the best for the club and who does not readily accept poor performances and bad signings and who does not put on the rose coloured specs to see something that isn't?

I remember the sections (old enclosure mainly) booing Hateley for lots of games as he wasn’t cutting it, it wasn’t just because souness preferred him over Ally, look how he turned it around, big Atilla gave his all for us and still does.

No problem at all with criticism of players, it's the dug meat and worse, dug s**** and things like dead wood and such references that p. me off. Not saying you have referred to Rangers players in such a way but plenty on here have.

Nope I think it’s more to do with you never having a positive thing to say about the club you are meant to support.

2blue, no point being a supporter if you can't understand and accept the reality of modern football finances in Scotland.

All supporters would want us to challenge for the CL, however, knowing the realities it is pointless wishing.

Trust the people in the know - our manager and coaching staff to do the very best for the club.

If a player is truly as bad as some on here claim SG would not have them near the team - if you disagree with the manager you ought to have something to back up your opinion (20 years in professional football would be a good starting place)

Super Ally would also have been chased out the club after his poor start.

100% behind the team. Think we can all get players not being quite as good as the past but can't accept players not giving their best. Attitude was spot on for Celtic but why not for others like European games? Should never have to be told to wake up. Hopefully with the break and end of window come back all guns blazing.

Love Super Ally but never a football manager.

2Blue agree with seeker and ss think it's how some like to treat players who wear the Rangers badge. We have come a long way since getting back to the top and still players being slated criticism is different. Sadiq was slated and he's now being touted for 30-40 million transfer. just saying.

Criticising other posters for having a different opinion of your opinion and getting worked up about it when they call it out is a bit of the kettle calling the pot black.
The sooner you realise that everyone is entitled to an opinion and that this is what this site is all about, you'll be fine on here, 2Blue. 👍.

Opinion and especially differences are all great, its what makes the world colourful, its when its disrespectful to others, supporters, players or staff then its not on in this day and age. no man is better than the next.

I remember that with Hateley. It was his second season before many took to him. I have to admit that I was hoping that Itten would show his worth this season but sadly I don't think he is suited to the Scottish game. Too easily knocked off the ball by rugged Scottish defenders and not brave enough going for balls in the box.
I suspect he will do well in Germany where the football is more cultivated!
