I'm all for fan media, I really am, but does the club not do some sort of due diligence before agreeing who gets in and who doesn't? This story regarding Heart on Heart is concerning, and If I'm being totally honest, it's not surprising. Did we really expect the MSM to sit back and take being locked out? Not a chance! The individual involved is well-known for posting stuff like this, as is others who are part of the accepted fan media. Don't be surprised If there's not some negative press regarding Dingwall from follow follow soon. You should read some of the stuff he posts. This could get really bad for the club as we are fair game now the gloves are off (nothing new there though) . Rangers need to sort this out fast! If anything incriminating is found on anyone, they need to remove that individual pronto.

You are correct. The club should have done more due diligence.
But I think the bigger issue is that the Daily Rebel has chosen to go after Rangers Fan Media rather than look at its own failings as a newspaper on how it reports all things Rangers.
I'm not a fan of whataboutery but their own Chief Sports Editor has posted / liked tweets with the "Hun" word.
Same with the reporter who "broke" this story.
Other papers have criticized Rangers decision to charge for access but to read their stories online they charge you for this.
A Celtic fan media representative from ACSOM has recently been banned from appearing on Sky after she was found to be posting Sectarian and Bigoted tweets. Did you read about that on the front page of the Record?
It's no surprise the gutter press of the DR readership has fallen from over 300000 to less than 90000 in 10 years.
I much prefer getting my news from John25 (👍) or rumours / banter on here about Rangers than clicking any bait.

I agree more due diligence should have been done they must have their peers passes removed you can’t run a campaign telling all are welcome when you have tweets like this no matter how long ago, we as a club have to stamp this out their is no point in pointing to The Record (though I agree with your point on them ) if we keep feeding them with ammunition, if we get our own house in order then there is nothing to print and that is the best way forward, it’s now every few days another headline on a section of our fans bringing the name of our club down its got to stop.

And whataboutery is an excuse for failing to understand their is an issue.
I'm giving reasons why MSSM is no longer trusted as a decent source of info on not just Rangers but all clubs - that's why readership numbers have fallen.
And it isn't whataboutery to say our club gets treated differently to others.
And clickbait is relevant with all things regarding the media.
Another paper ran the headline about Celtic fans fighting amongst themselves outside an Irish bar in Glasgow by calling them "football fans".
Compare to an incident involving Rangers fans on the same day and it was "Rangers fan attacks fellow fan".
And you're happy with that and just to pass it off as "whataboutery"? Fire away then, you are entitled to your opinion.
Now in an ideal world all Rangers fans would be Angels but that's never going to happen.
So you can hide your head up your arse to a clear agenda in most things that are reported against Rangers.
Yes get our own house in order but there needs to be parity in the way things are reported. And the MSSM wonders why Rangers decided to charge them access?

MPH well said, the MSM have a way of using words, like you say all things reported on Rangers has a negative tone.
For example we beat them on Sunday with all the issues we had re C.V. etc. Yet the MSM didn’t give due credit they focussed on a minority of so called fans singing in the city centre.
Why not focus on the team, they barely mentioned that big Ange has got off to worst start in 25 years …. yet it is give him time, not his fault etc that’s spun. Look back to the reporting of Pedro’s first games and you can see the bias.
There are lots of other so called journalists now not focussing on our performance on the pitch, more on trying to knock Rangers from top to bottom…. Why are they not reporting on the Cinch debacle? Given the implications this has as the SPFL board have made a horses behind of things and could cost clubs thousands……strange how that’s went quiet given DP winning injunction in court the other week.

I 100% agree on sorting our own shortcomings but according to the media, politicians etc it seems that Rangers and their fans are to blame for all the ills in Scotland!
Nobody is born a racist or bigot.
It's a society problem that needs to be tackled in all walks of life.
I'm from a generation who has been called a person and person at work and to be honest it was water of a ducks back.
However in this day and age that is no longer acceptable in all walks of life and neither should it be.
To me education at all levels is important and more importantly from a young age.
And nothing will ever change if the problem from those who should ( or don't want to know ) better don't change their rhetoric.

I'm so angry with fuds like this dragging our club through more crap as there is more than enough of it already. Those who are condemning us left right and centre don't need more excuses to have a pop, and stuff like this just gives them more ammo to aim at us.

I have a fair bit of experience in this matter, the club's due diligence would have been limited to the material published directly by Heart and Hand and at a stretch any 'core' contributors - but the 'all views my own' catch all in social media renders any further due diligence redundant.

I respect your opinion BMGH01. One of the more sensible posters on here.
And I get where you are coming from. The club doesn't need the negative feedback after incidents from some within our support.
But it also doesn't need the negative stuff from the way the press report stories compared to others.
Remember that 2 serving MSP's amongst others were taken in by the doctored TikTok video and were wanting players sacked etc. We are still waiting on apologies from them.
