I was reading there that spurs are having a carbon neutral game vs Chelsea.
They are encouraging fans to cycle to the game and selling plant based food. They say they have space for 180 bikes to park so perhaps they can squeeze them in beside the players gas guzzling ferraris and hummers etc and the chairmen could cycle from their super yachts instead of using the helicopters. As long as they don't have the players planting trees on the pitch interfering with the game this might just save the planet. If those 180 cyclists keep at it then maybe Heathrow could get its new runway sooner than expected. 😊🚲✈️.

Sturgeon based whole indy ref on oil 1st time round. Now cause shes teamed up with the greens they want new indy push based on doing away with oil fields. That a lot of folk out of jobs. Even tho there plenty oil left.

Average car speed in London is 4 miles an hour 3cheers so a Ferrari is a very handy and economical asset to have. Plus the big yacht berth isn't quite finished yet. Heli port open though. Makes sense though. Apart from the Emirates it's the most stadium I've ever been to.

Paul, countless millions of barrels off the west coast of Shetland. Enough to last years! It’s a lot to walk away from, especially with her trying for independence. She’ll be cursing wee Greta.

Pushing for electric cars for environmental reasons! The batteries are going to be a real problem to recycle and sourcing the required material for batteries is a joke! Let alone the electric myth.

The amount of power used to generate green electricity is not good for the environment believe me. Serious question though, what if i decide to solar panel my whole house to provide it with electricity, and sell the excess generated back to the grid. Does tht make me, or anyone who done this exempt from paying any fuel bills at all. No more electric bills or companies involved? Its sometimes a choice for some people to pay the fuel bills or go to the football. Both should be cheap, hate the money manipulation rat race, 2 things guaranteed in life, bills and death 👌💙.

Or you could support Boris Johnstone who has just announced 5.4 billion pounds for the NHS. None of which will go to Scotland.

Agree Paul. A lot of jobs and a shed load of money we’re it not for the move towards cleaner energy, which I agree with. Enough barrels there to emulate the height of the oil industry in the 70’s and 80’s. Nicola probably envisaged an independent Scotland being like a mini Dubai, only p1ssing with rain and freeing cold for 9 months of the year.

BigIks
I think you will find that Scotland will get about 50 million from any proposed increase to NI under Boris's plan if its accepted. Let's see where its spent. More trees and wind turbines or consultations on independence.

13.) 07 Sep 2021
07 Sep 2021 08:10:02
Bikiks, best not post on things you don’t understand.

The Barnet formula guarantees Scotland a %age of any additional funding announced by Westminster - in this case Scotland (and Wales) will receive approx £1b of additional funding from Westminster.

You may not like Boris but it does no good to lie (or simply not understand) .

Big question - how would an independent Scotland fund C.V. and C.V. recovery?

If you read my post correctly it says Boris has declared 5.4 billion for the NHS, none of that amount is for Scotland. The usual people quick to criticise when all I'm doing is stating an actual fact. Again, Scotland will not get any of that 5.4 billion. The quicker Scotland is made independent the better.

The people that support a political party because of the football team are the worst kind. When you vote it should be what's best for your family not what flag is flying over a castle. There's to many bigot voters imo.

Sorry but I can't understand any Rangers fan who votes for the SNP, it is clear as day that they have an agenda towards us as a club and our fanbase in general solely based on us being seen as predominantly Unionist.

07 Sep 2021 12:58:40
i agree sweep, politics and football should be kept apart both sides included, i do vote for snp (not a fan of Sturgeon though) because i do believe we would be better off. being ruled by a different country to my own goes against the grain. everything that has happened in this country is because the english voted for it basically wiping out our votes. how many scots honestly voted tories before we became evolved. and yet we had years of tory rule. miners, steel, british rail and many jobs lost plus of course the dreaded poll tax forced on us. anyway rant over, its my opinion and my choice, it doesn't affect who i support for.

26.) 07 Sep 2021
07 Sep 2021 13:58:46
Sweep bigiks never said you can't vote for who you want or for that matter that I vote tory! My point is that in my opinion the SNP are totally against us as a club and take every chance to put us down. I vote for who I think will do better for me and my family, the SNP have been in power for over a decade in Scotland and by most measurables nothing has improved.

Hilsea, I certainly appreciate your opinion, you are of course entitled to that. I certainly won't be giving you any hassle on your beliefs, unlike some on here ( yes it's the usual posters) . I am however a huge Rangers supporter and fan and have been since my dad took me to my first game at 4 years old. That was 48 years ago. So again I'm a proud SNP supporter and a proud Rangers supporter.

30.) 07 Sep 2021
07 Sep 2021 15:50:43
The SNP have devolved powers and have made a rip roaring arse of every one of them, year on year since they came into power.
Health Service - failing
Education - failing
Transport - failing and only going to get worse as they job share with the Greens.
Environment - based there full independent strategy on oil price 🤔
Economy - had to beg Boris to extend the furlough as they couldn't afford it themselves
Tax - we already pay more than England
Any prominent SNP MSP's utter contempt and hate for all things Rangers.
Independence? What to take us out if the Union and saddle us into an even bigger one - the EU. How's that independence? You are having a laugh.

Bankie The traditional working class, about 14% of British society, shows relatively poor economic capital, but some housing assets, few social contacts, and low highbrow and emerging cultural capital. Typical occupations include electrical and electronics technicians; care workers; cleaners; van drivers; electricians; residential, day, and domiciliary care.

MPH Education, Transport and the NHS are all failing in England aswell though so not really getting that point. We should be getting help from the uk government to help us through a once in a lifetime C.V. as we pay NI and tax our whole life.

33.) 07 Sep 2021
07 Sep 2021 17:29:01
Typical SNP response Sweep. 🙄
Aye education is failing but don't worry it's also failing in England🤦
The SNP aren't in charge of England but under their watch in Scotland, Education ( which is a devolved power ) has failed year on year. But don't worry kids, it's just as bad in England. 🤓.

Scottish eduction standards have plummeted in the last 10 years compared to England.

Those proud to be an SNP supporter - name 3 areas that have improved under the SNP.

As proud SNP and Rangers supporters, do you blame Celtic for Rangers failings or just Boris for SNP failings?

37.) 07 Sep 2021
07 Sep 2021 18:27:24
Sweep1, you’ve provided a very stilted and poor definition of working class IMO that perhaps had some relevance in the 1950’s 1960’s. Demographics, culture, education attainment, social mobility and the modern economy have all impacted society including in Scotland and the body politic. Most people now are“working class” not just 14pc you reference.

You’re going to be very disappointed Bigiks- the silent majority of Scots understand that independence = bankrupt 3rd world services that will rely on the EU for handouts.

BTW. Edward Health closed more Scottish pits than Thatcher but Scotland was a Labour stronghold so he could do no wrong.
