John25,i know you stated in an earlier post you were off to watch a proper player cristiano ronaldo 👍As i've said on here frequently, CR7 is a phenomenon and better than messi 👌 What an incredible footballer he is 👌.

Ronaldo in his performances for Portugal has proved to be a much better team player than Messi could ever dream of being. Remember Bruno alves getting injured for us and Ronaldo flying him to see his specialists, Messi tells the manager not to pick certain players. Ronaldo inspires and push the team both through performance and vocally Messi never opens his mouth. As a player I think Ronaldo is miles ahead of Messi who since iniesta and xavi left really disappointed and was too interested in trying to tell managers how to play but ultimately the manager would get sack and Messi would just ask for more money.

the Lionel Messi from 2011/ 12 was unstoppable imo the highest level any player has ever reached scoring 73 goals in a single season and 91 in a calendar year. Records that will stand for years to come! although it's been an absolute pleasure watching both their careers.

Wouldn't argue with either, we have been truly blessed to watch the two best players of a generation and more. Would loved to have seen them paly together. Messi shades it for me for sheer entertainment value.

I think this conundrum is the best ‘non Rangers’ chat I’ve seen on the forum for a while. In my opinion Ronaldo is the best player in the world since his name sake the Brazilian Ronaldo. Messi is just slightly behind him. I believe Ronaldo has it all, speed, skill, work rate, team work, height, strength…. I could actually see him playing top level football into his early 40’s. i'm not sure we’ll see two world class footballers dominate the sport at the same time again.

Exactly herewego this is what gets me on this debate Ronaldo done it at more than one club 😂😂 players like totti maldini etc… were lauded for loyalty and messi was abused for it and I know he has now left because of Barcelona money troubles but was always used against him.


It’s not like Ronaldo went to a club like Napoli and won them the league like maradona did he went to the best clubs in the world .
