My take on game, positives bar kent flogging both goals there actually wasnt to much between sides imo. We also had chances. Balogun and borna played well. can't believe people on here sayin send lundstram down south he was by far our best midfield player. As i said previous all our passes seemed to be a yard short not crisp passing like were used to. Fully expect us to beat brondby and sparta. Roll on sunday for flag day try put that tough result behind us.

Negatives. davis kamara and ryan kent were nothing short of absolutely shockin, not sure how the gaffer is going to cope with his automatic 1st pick kent beimg out no matter how bad he is. let's be honest people say wingers are inconsistant, he needs to actually have a good to be classed as inconsistant, sold both goals, slack lazy passing. Morelos as much as he wins us fouls and drags sides about he needs to be then bursting a gut to make it into the box to try get on the end of something.

I’ll need to watch the first goal back Paul but in my opinion Lundstram was at fault of the first goal? My initial thought was laziness on Lundstram part? i'm not saying Kent played well (although I don’t think he was as a bad as you say) but I think the first goal highlights that Lundstram needs to offer more commitment and effort on the field.

"Wasn't too much between the sides? " The gulf in class was massive! Yes, although we missed a couple of chances, Paul, they were all over us all over the park. Lyon, with a team who cost over 100m more than us, were, and are, on a completely different level to us. The reality is that Lyon have a squad capable of playing at Champions league level. We don't! And last proved we can't compete with these teams in Europe. Even last year when our level of play was better we would have still struggled against Lyon. If Slavia were able to outplay us, Lyon certainly would have.
The stark reality is that we have a team capable of winning the SPL, but that's our level right now. Yes, we can compete with ok teams in Europe, but once we come up against real talent, do we really think we can beat them?
Let's get back to our bread and butter by beating Motherwell at the weekend. The league is our aim this season, and anything else is a bonus.

Kent lost ball for both goals. Lundstram tried to show him the outside. But he cut in for a worldie.

They showed composure and quality on the ball, we couldn't string 2 passes together, not good enough. One of our priorities thus season is to maximise our income potential, and the Europa League will offer that, we can't put all of our eggs in one basket, or we won't win the league, buck up Stevie, and sort your tactics out.

Last night did show up the gulf in class and without spending it was always going to be the case. Think this was a wake up call for all of us. However to many players are not coming as first team picks. They are warming the bench. Needs to change.
