So very disappointing to see Scotland fans booing Israel national anthem.

What is the reason for this?

English fans done it to Scotland in the summer, never seen anyone on here saying anything about that. Israel done it to us last time we played them again no comment on here. So did Austria if I remember correctly. It happens everywhere now so no agenda just the way it is now.

Scotland supporters are now bringing their club issues to the International stage.
It's why individual players get booed more than others.
I'm sure at one point FIFA and UEFA frowned upon the booing national anthems but it is now commonplace.

I hate snowflake mentality of being offended by everything but even I must admit the booing of any national anthem is ugly. It's bad enough when there's a toxic rivalry between the nations, but when it's just some fans being political it strikes me as petty and embarrassing. Surely a national anthem is deserving of respect?

There is no debate that it is disrespectful to boo a national anthem however it is a free country so folks can do what they like. I think some Celtic fans prob feel the Palestinian/ Israel situation is similar to the Northern Ireland/ UK. Out of all territories and countries that are fought over bizarre they have chosen to have some sort of link.
