I've already said my piece on the Stevie subject and it stands even more now if he's off mid season.

Far as I'm concerned, even tho he stopped the ten an got us the champs, if he does a Brenda an leaves mid season after basically saying he is staying then all my respect for him will vanish overnight.

Totally agree Billy. You can't say you're happy and settled one week then jump ship the next, especially midway through the season. Unprofessional if he does go.

Memory loss from those that fail to remember the basket case we were before he took over.

Would just like to add, "IF" he does go mid season, then I hope a new manager can stop us conceding in first ten mins o games and stop the poor performances we had so far this season.

My concern is we have players who signed for SG and how do they react that's why we need a permanent gaffer to end uncertainty and who can hopefully galvanise a squad I'm sure will be shocked like most fans are. the more I look at candidates the more I want GVB or Rino Gattuso.

where have we got to when a manager just jumps ship at the first offer mid season and right before the semi and a huge European game and fans are wishing him all the best thanks for one title for god sake looks like he’s off and so is all his back room staff he has left us with no one no manager no assistant manager no first team coach no fitness coach no set piece coach no one to take the team, it’s now a mad rush to find a manager or even a temporary manager then he has to put a back room team together ready for a semi final in just eleven days, and what does that say to players who have came up here to play for him if you want you can demand to leave in the next transfer window as the contract you were more than happy to sign isn’t worth the paper its written on loyalty don’t make me laugh.

{Ed0666's Note - I’d be livid if it were me not sending him good luck messages. Celtic FC couldn’t have scripted this better if they wrote it themselves. I have no problem with Gerard leaving but mid season and with all the major personnel?? Don’t professional and personal ethics come into play here?

We are greetin if he's leaving mid season spud mate, nothing else, and now with a new manager trying to take over out of the blue is a real concern for the club and supporters.

If SG decides he'd rather manage Aston Villa well so be it. If he goes at the end of this season I'll have no complaints but if he decides to go at this early part of the season taking his backroom team with him that will be very disappointing and I'd say disrespectful. He's been well backed by the club and supporters who stood by him and the team after being knocked out of two domestic cups last season. Stopping the 10 was superb so hope he doesn't tarnish it by jumping ship for Villa.

Can't believe people on here still think SG will stay. He's away already I'd expect an announcement tomorrow from Rangers but iv lost a lot of respect for SG after his comments 2 weeks ago he should've stayed till end of season.

I get exactly where people r coming from re gerrard leaving mid season. But for me the biggest mistake would be persuading him to stay to the summer. How does he motivate a team that knows regardless he walks in May.

If he wants to go, go now or stay till Klopp leaves Liverpool.
