Setting myself up I know but for me this repeated adulation of McGregor is embarrassing! Commentary following his save where he push the ball over the bar was cringeworthy.
No doubt he has been a fantastic servant to the club and makes some excellent saves but he is aging and cannot go on forever.
The saves today should be bread and butter for any Rangers keeper - that is what they are paid for.
He has had a recent tendency to save a shot but not push the ball away, leaving a second opportunity.

We big up strikers when they score and that’s their job. When Kent or Aribo run people ragged we do the same. When Davis splits a defence with a pass. When the defence is solid and keep clean sheets. So why not McGregor. Let’s be honest if we had Barkas in goals it woulda been 2-2 at half time and then livi have their tales up. McGregor for years has saved us some huge points. How many times last season. Even on Thursday we say Alfie got the goals that qualified us but if McGregor never made the saves we would be out. Give the guy his due he made a brilliant save today it’s not embarrassing in the slightest.

Hes miles better than Any other gk at ibrox. Gerrard made rookie mistakes dropping him for certain leauge games. If he's fit he plays simple. Gio gets it, 3pts at weekend more important than anything else, that's why the best players must start! He also balls at the defence which I love in a keeper. Captain between the sticks. DK that’s a bit strong everyone knows he is getting on and can’t go on forever but he didn’t do anything wrong today.

It’s not that I don’t like him, no doubt his qualities over the years but the sycophants and all over him when he makes the most routine of saves (his job) .
Even Thursdays double save - he made a decent save first but didn’t clear the ball so had to make a second reflex save with his legs.
