I've Heard Rangers are closing in on Scott Arfield ex Falkirk player who was released by Huddersfield Town. I think he would be great signing scottish and still young at 24. what do you think ED {Ed001's Note - he is certainly well regarded by someone, as his pending release led to half the teams in the English Football League sites' being filled with people asking if they had a chance of getting him!}

Abomb1982

1.) He would be ok sighning, but I think we should do everthing to get kris boyd back he would rip up 2nd divison defenders as he did in the spl

2.) Ok ill start by laughing at the kris boyd post, no point signing old guys like him we need younger players and I can't remember him ripping defenders. Arfield rumour was started down england but I can assure people its not happening, 100%

3.) No chance Kris Boyd will ever be back at Rangers as long as Ally is manager. He would rip all these defences apart with his finishing, and would end up our all time top scorer. This will therefore never be allowed to happen. The ego has landed. We need a manager who plays a good game, (and understands it), not one who talks the talk. Ally, it's time to walk away, graciously, while you retain your legendary status. Which I may add, you richly deserve. Thanks for those memories. But as a coach you're making Neil Lennon look good.

4.) Why don't you wait until May 2014 before condemning McCoist? He's done the job with one hand tied behind his back. Half of his signings last season were panic signings because he wasn't allowed time or money due to other events. If we have another poor season then I'd agree, time to go but let's see what happens this coming season first.

5.) 16 Jun 2013 13:47:37
CELTIC SUPPORTER come on guys the ways you go on about players that wouldn't get a game for our reserves, get real and I have yet to talk to a rangers supporter who did enjoy the third division.

6.) McCoist was paying these so-called "panic buys" £7k a week to win the 3rd div, have serious word with yourself. He has no technical ability to move on, Walter's still trying to help him become a decent manager.

7.) Mccoist doesn't pay anyone anything. He doesn't deal with finances. that's between the chairman, Financial director and the player/agent. Blame the board for offering too much money.

David Amoo Former Liverpool and Tranmere Rovers Player. Is the player Ally McCoist wants to Sign to add much needed pace to his star studded team. Ally Turn to David Amoo as soon as he heard Chris Humphrey preferred a switch to Preston North End. Ally was tip of by a former team mate of his believe to be know other as Mark Walters who believe good do a job at Rangers. What do you champs think?

Abomb1982

1.) This is not the type of player we should be going for. Andy little will do a job on the right for us so there's no need for some unknown untried player. Looking at his career so far he's struggled wherever he's been.

We only need a couple of defender and a right back to have good squad strength in all areas for next year. It's the second division after all.

2.) Are you talking about the guy who was at Hearts? {Ed001's Note - no Amoo left Liverpool ages ago, he has an attitude problem, lots of pace but little ability. You really don't want him. The lad we loaned to Hearts was Ngoo. At one point Liverpool had 3 forwards named Ngog, Ngoo and Amoo, it was a little confusing!}

3.) Star studded team? I really hope your tongue was firmly in your cheek when you wrote that beauty? If not, then you need a reality check my deluded friend. Things are certainly a lot brighter than this time last year, but we are still a long way away from fielding a star studded team. Well, the Scottish equivalent of a star studded team.

4.) I think this guy is young, quick and can score goals. What's not to like?. Half decent and he'll tear up division 2. WATP

5.) I nearly wet myself with laughing at this post

6.) I wasn't being serious definitely tongue and cheeky. Just trying to get a reaction like lol. But in all seriousness I think we need two commanding defenders that can play on the deck maybe a new right back as well. And I also think we need some pace from somewhere. we were very predictable last season and this season we need to mix it up a bit. I know we are playing in the second division, but it shouldn't stop us from challenging for the cups this season. I think we have done well in the transfer stakes so far but I think it will be in the players we sell/ get rid that will determined weather we have been successful or not. what do you think

7.) Star Studded Team - I take it you are on a wind up!

08 Jun 2013 13:03:25
Rangers Considering a move for former Tottenham player John Bostock who is now out of contract.

Abomb1982

1.) See the guys without a team but he does look a bit of a risk. Story goes that he's already made his cash and got there 2 early (16)

2.) Would be a great buy but would he come to division 2?

CorbyGer

3.) Good player tbh but think he will want more than sfl2.

4.) I think a wee talk with Coisty would influence his decision to join. Law and Daly were influenced by what he had to say. Bostock would be a good addition.

5.) Law and Daly claim they were influenced by McCoist. A cynic (or realist) might say they were influenced by the chance to earn more money than they were on, without having to move house lol

Walter Smith is our new chairman fantastic news

Abomb1982

1.) Do you really think this is good news? WW

2.) It is also a reminder of what a state our great club is on when an ex manager is now chairman- utterly bizarre!

3.) Its greatr news, to all those that said Walter was leaving board - how wrong you are, just shows you how many liars are tring to cause us trouble. We need save hands at the moment and they do not come any saver than Walters, well except the Goalie's, lol

4.) Thought he was going to resign if Murry put out?. Strange
Tam

5.) Great news Walter Smith is a Rangers legend and a man who has great integrity, respect and knowledge of Rangers and the wider game. We have been crying out for a leader and there is no better man for the job. More so there is finally someone at the top of our club we can place our firm trust in. To suggest this is not the case is nothing more than crass.

6.) Things are getting weirder at Ibrox WW

7.) He can build a boardroom we can trust. makes sense to me

8.) Your Team seem to be turning a corner and with Smith firmly placed in the driving seat the future looks distinctly brighter. All you need to do now is sort out the google eyed fud and work your way up to the SPL. I look forward to your return.
Gbhoy.

9.) I have not posted on this page for a while my blue nosed chums but it will be good to see the hoards back in a few years time. I advised you lot years ago about minty Murray and the whyte knight they never had any business dealings? Who owns your club lloyds bank did and sold it to Craigy not a bhoy whyte as he is fondly referred too by the clowns in green who sing his name looks like the changing of the guards will follow this investigation.

I look forward to the first old firm game ASAP

Whyte and Murry have saved you the humiliation of finishing mid table for years as Rangers simply the best could never do that once you the fans buy back the clubs assets you will have a club at the moment.

Walter Mitty is trying his best its going to cost you guys plenty as it has already good luck see you in the cups next year for sure. Remember Craig Whyte saved Rangers only one with the balls lloyds wanted their cash Whyte got them it

10.) 30 May 2013 14:29:02
This will only be a temporary situation

11.) Always thought no man was bigger than the club/institution but seems like Walt and Ally buck the trend!

12.) Walters post is a non-executive position and has nothing to do with the day to day running of the club.
The job of non-executive chairmen & non- executive directors is to keep an eye on how the club is being run.
I think this is a move to get the fans to buy season books.
Craig Whyte letter relating to action which was admitted to the stock exchange today means that this has a long way to run yet.

13.) Running scared again dhimmy never mind just keep coming on to the page of the best team in scotland

14.) Walter has been appointed to secure season ticket sales, all this boardroom bickering and CW fantasy is unnerving some fans.

Any fans who need reassurance about the goings on in the last month should check the share price, it has hardly budged. If any of the malicious rumors were true, the price would have collapsed.

15.) All a front to get season ticket renewals hers fans

16.) Aye right WS just a face to sell st
Anyway what WS knows about being a chairman is as much as I know about quantum physics

17.) Smith's appointment will be well received by the majority of our support. That said, it is now imperative that we appoint some quality 'Rangers' minded businessmen to the Board and preferably some, like King, who will invest in teh Club.

18.) Do you really think Walter Smith would accept such a position just to sell season tickets? He is a TRUE Rangers man and he would only make such a decision if it was best for the club in the longer term.

19.) I will be getting 3 season books regardless. WATP (Always have been and always will be)

20.) Bet you bain will be back.

Chris Humphrey Deal is looking close to completion now. The player was thought to be ready to head down to England. But as soon as he heard the Rangers interest was seriously his mind was made up. He has been really impressive with the direction the club is heading. He spoke with Ally and believes this is where he wants to play for the foreseeable future. Rangers have Offered a 3 year contract and the option of a fourth. I have heard McCoist has been given the chance to sign a ex premiership defender but not sure who it is. Anyone got any ideas like.

Abomb1982

1.) Good player and hope we get him. a product of the Baggies youth system.

2.) Djimi Traore.

3.) Traore has a contract with Seattle Sounders and he has been dong well so it won't be him

4.) Titus Bramble

5.) Titus Bramble is rank rotten

6.) Maybe Christophe Berra

7.) 28 May 2013 22:42:45
The Traore comment was a joke. However, Mallep still has a contract and that hasn't stopped people claiming he's on his way back.

8.) Christophe Berra?

9.) Craig Cathcart?

10.) Its Nicky Shorey or Ronnie Stam McCoist likes them both.

11.) Davie Weir would be an improvement

Why are we not offering a Pre contract to Sam Nicholson of Hearts he is a quality young player and would be the ideal replacement for Barrie Mckay if he was sold in the summer.

Abomb1982

1.) 31 Jan 2017 12:18:12
Are you drunk mate, he would never replace Barrie McKay lmfas

2.) 31 Jan 2017 13:46:53
He could play with mckay!

3.) 31 Jan 2017 15:46:47
Don't think Nicholson would be a popular choice at Tynecastle if he signed pre contract just now.

4.) 31 Jan 2017 16:16:36
boy has no where near the talent of McKay mate get a grip.

he is good but McKay is way better

28 Jun 2016 17:07:28
Now that Celtic have shown there hand with the quality signing of the very talented youngster Moussa Dembele. It's now very important that we get a striker that will score 20 plus a season. Now weather we need to spend money to get that type of striker or not is up for debate. But it's vitally important we get this signing right. I hope Warburton, s target is in the same quality bracket as Kranjcar and Burton. If it is we, ll have a very good season if not we may struggle to score enough goals this season.

Abomb1982

1.) 29 Jun 2016 02:10:31
Heared this Dembele boy is a bit ogre a prima donna, can see him spitting out the dummy if CL goes tats up or the thumb gets the nod in front of him, wait and see Bears, they've got huge amounts of pressure and expectation and a panic 45k a week CB is prob on cards too.

23 Jun 2016 09:06:06
Going by what Mark Warburton has been saying regarding possible transfer deals. I would say that we'll have in place 10 new players for the start of the season. And i think all will be permanent signings. But do you think he'll go back into the Market for a couple of loan signings when the premiership squads confirmed. And if he did which area of the team would you like to see him strengthen further. I must say i am absolutely delighted with business done so far. Long may it continue.

Signing Possibly Thus far
1.Josh Windass Attacking Midfielder
2. Matt Crooks Defender/ MMidfielder
3. Jordan Rossiter Midfielder
4. Joey Barton Midfielder
5. Clint Hill Centre Back
6. Niko Kranjcar Attacking Midfielder
7. Matt Gilks Goalkeeper
8. Centre Back possibly Adrian Mariappa?
9. Defender that can play either Left back/ Right back possibly Lee Hodson?
10. Striker.

Rangers Outs Dean Shiels, Nicky Clark, Nicky Law, David Templeton, Luca Gasparotto. Maciej Gostomski Billy KIng, Gedion Zelalem, Dominic Ball. Cammy Bell. Rangers Ins Matt Crooks, Josh Windass, Jordan Rossiter, Joey Barton, Niko Kranjcar. A very good progress thus far and more to follow.

Abomb1982

1.) 11 Jun 2016 09:30:55
Canny bell still at the club.

2.) 11 Jun 2016 09:45:16
Can you provide a link stating Kranjcar has signed for club?

3.) 11 Jun 2016 11:25:55
He's supposedly said to the Croatian newspapers that he will be on board before we start our pre season friendlies mate, so we'll see what happens i suppose =)

4.) 11 Jun 2016 13:22:07
Abomb cheers for the update, that we seem to get every second day 😂😂.

5.) 11 Jun 2016 18:53:08
Hope zelalem comes back.

10 Jun 2016 14:08:13
Shiels is the seventh player to leave Rangers this summer, with Nicky Law, Nicky Clark and David Templeton all released. Dominic Ball, Gedion Zelalem and Billy King have all returned to their parent clubs too. And with Cammy Bell also surplus to requirements. Mark Warburtons rebuild is really taking shape with Joey Barton, Jordan Rossiter, Josh Windass and Matt Crooks having already Joined Rangers and Nicko Kranjcar two year deal almost near completion things are really looking good so far. The only concerned thus far is can he rebuild the shaky defence and find that out and out goal scorer that can fire Rangers to the Title next season.

Abomb1982

1.) 10 Jun 2016 15:26:39
Time will tell, one things for sure, we're going to see a different gers team come August.

2.) 10 Jun 2016 17:46:42
Abomb. are you not concerned about all these new players being introduced at the same time.

Barton will be okay, most of the rest of them will take time to bed in and get used to the frantic pace of Scottish football.

my fear is dropping points early on in the season until they all get used to each others strengths.

Its a big gamble blooding as many players all at once, and expect them all to hit the ground running.

3.) 11 Jun 2016 00:11:58
Thought that last season too but we all seen the outcome from the hibs game in the petrofac cup.

I think you mean Ivan Toney ex Newcastle Utd Striker who signed a long term deal with Peterborough last summer for a fee believed to be aroung £650,000. Scored 19 goals in all competitions last season.

Been saying it all summer our lack of creativity and goals in our team will hurt more than our defensive deficiencies will. I am praying that Pena Herrera come good and Morelos stays fit. Are Nemane , Dalcio, Atakayi good enough to cover Josh Windass if he gets injured or rested on that left side. what's why i am annoyed with didn't sign Jamie Walker.

If and when we make a bid it will all change but we may have to spend 800,000 -1 Million to get our man. The fact he isn't signing a new deal and can sign a pre contract in January means the player is holding all the aces. He won't come out and say he wants to sign for us rangers as he respect the fact Hibs took a chance on him and made him a better player. But his agent has been instructed to see what clubs are interested in signing him. And who would have told him to do that.

Abomb1982

{Ed039's Note - He can sign for clubs outside his own association from January, you can not sign a pre contract for a club within your own association in January without your club giving permission to the club wanting to sign the player to talk to them until later in the process, either May or June)

I am maybe jumping the gun here but could this mean that Joe Aribo has chosen to sign for Rangers. A better player at a fraction of the cost. I hope so.

We can't sign anyone officially with a transfer fee in till this Friday 9th June. That's when the Transfer window opens. Regarding Carlos Pena and Eduardo Herrera the pair will need to satisfy a three-man tribunal panel to obtain a work permit, which is booked in for tomorrow Wednesday 7th June. Despite the fact the pair have not met the criteria of playing in 75 per cent of their national side’s games in the last two years. The club are confident they will cut through the red tape due to fact they are high quality players that will enhance Rangers and Scottish football. Fabio Cardoso 1.3 Million Transfer and Dalcio one year loan deal will hopefully go through on Friday. Graham Dorrans and Daniel Candeias still on going.

I actually think this is a very good signing if we can pull it off. He scores goals with his right foot, Left foot and his head. A very good penalty box striker. I am will be delighted if we sign him. It's stop me moaning which takes a lot to do.
