Best team moment: for me it has to be helicopter sunday. The Game wasnt on tele but the Celtic game was and Sutton put them 1-0 and I went up the stairs in a huff when something called me back down stairs to finish watching the game with my dad I was a fantastic way to win the title. Rangers vs Inter at Ibrox the first Scottish team to progress to the last sixteen of the Champions League that has to be in there.

The Sun clamming that Cammy Bell will sign for Dundee Utd today but doesn't say anything about the transfer fee . I'm happy to see the back of him but I'm not a fan of letting players go like we did with Darren McGregor for free to clubs that hate us or pure and simply will not sell players to us (Dundee Utd and Hibs) Does anyone know if there was a fee and if so how much?

AnotherBear

1.) 21 Jun 2016 10:16:09
Cammy Bells contract has expired. We would not be be able to command a transfer fee.

2.) 21 Jun 2016 10:18:25
Thanks Bluerangers that answers my question more wages freed up.

3.) 21 Jun 2016 10:26:49
Doesn't his contract have 1 more year.

4.) 21 Jun 2016 10:30:13
The Sun clamming Bell has a year left on his contract?

5.) 21 Jun 2016 11:11:57
I'm sure he has a year left and yes, I agree, we should not do business with either feeder club.

6.) 21 Jun 2016 11:32:54
I don't think so either. I remember a year ago Hibs refused to sell to us even after there own player handing in a transfer request after we made a bid. Never do business with either of these clubs and never allow them to take players for free like we did McGregor.

7.) 21 Jun 2016 12:48:04
Bell has 1 year left on contract but we have released from contract early. Assume we would pay him something to leave early.

8.) 21 Jun 2016 13:52:16
My Mistake, bell does have a year left on his contract. In that case we should demand a fee and if we don't get one, he can sit on the bench. Who knows what wages he is on though, i would imagine he will recieve a 20% rise for us getting back into the SPL and he is probably on about 6k a week at the moment, judging on the other daft contracts Leech and Lambias organised with other dud players. So we may be forced to let him walk. I would offer him plus 200K to Hibs in a swap deal for Cummings.

9.) 21 Jun 2016 13:57:15
should never help any1 of those clubs but I honestly never rated the guy as a good keeper so I understand if we wanted rid of him I think wes will become better and better the guy is only 25 and I can't see warburton replacing him. I hope we can get another great keeper like the ones we are used to but don't think there are any out there that we can afford.

10.) 21 Jun 2016 14:32:43
I disagree, why shouldn't we offload unwanted players? Also could this mean Mcgovern coming in?

11.) 21 Jun 2016 16:08:22
Based on his performances for us I don't think we are doing Dundee utd a favour- quite the opposite, his butterfingers will keep them in championship for years to come.

12.) 21 Jun 2016 19:33:49
Transfer window isn't open! Thought it opened on 1st July? Obviously different story for free agents but Bell is not free.

13.) 22 Jun 2016 09:23:14
I also agree we should be doing no business with either Hibs or scumdee utd, let them act as feeder clubs to selic and take in their many many many rejects.

Bears if Buffalo goes remember we are losing the top goal scorer in the Europa League is goal was the one that took us into the group stages against if I'm not mistaken the best defence in the qualifiers (Legia Warsaw)

If he leaves I'll be really disappointed if we don't get £20m.

Also would like a proven European goal scorer to replace him.

I know Morelos came from Finland but he is one in ten that you buy for 1m and get that goal return .

AnotherBear

1.) 06 Jul 2020 18:20:17
AB We won't get close to 20m. We will get 12m plus add ons or there abouts imo.

2.) 06 Jul 2020 18:38:11
The simple thing is, if we don't get a price that suits us then he will have to stay.
He is a 20m player every day of the week, if mcburnie is 20m then why not 20m for fredo who is better than him?

3.) 06 Jul 2020 18:59:42
If that’s what comes to light very disappointing. We can’t challenge the funny folk if we keep selling our best players on the cheap

If you have a good first half playing for them your worth 20m and they tell themselves that and others start to believe it .

4.) 06 Jul 2020 20:14:55
As1974- if teams are only going to offer 12 million then simples- Not for sale!

5.) 06 Jul 2020 21:28:19
@The Stuck totally agree but if the boy wants to go then let him.

6.) 06 Jul 2020 23:00:37
Set up by JJ.

7.) 06 Jul 2020 23:38:54
I'm sure we will get what some team is willing to pay, could be 12million, but hopefully, will be nearer to 20million.
he is our player on a long contract,
I'm sure we will try and barter for ah wee bit more than 12m.

8.) 07 Jul 2020 00:29:39
Another bear, great UB40 song in your recent post anybody else got it.

06 Jul 2020 09:35:20
Rangers away to Aberdeen on a Friday night

Second time in Three years we have been away to Aberdeen

Third year in a row we have been away on our opening game if the season

First old firm game at Celtic Park ( who would have guessed that )

F**k Doncaster
F**k the SPFL

As I've said before on this site nothing else here for us in the corrupt " league "

The sooner we submit an application to joint England's lower leagues the better .

AnotherBear

1.) 06 Jul 2020 09:38:39
Another bear I'm buzzing Aberdeen away on first day great opening test and difficult game to get out the way.

Cannot wait 😁😁😁😁.

2.) 06 Jul 2020 09:45:58
First old firm had to be at Celtic Park it was at Ibrox last season so no point whining.
I hate Doncaster and the SPFL but the reason we have been away from home is because of finishing 2nd it's not rocket science. Win the league then we get an easy home game to start Next season for the flag unfurling.

3.) 06 Jul 2020 10:01:21
AnotherBear you should know by now that Celtic and Rangers are never at home on the same weekend and the champions are always at home on the first game of the season. Last season the first old firm game was at ibrox so this season Celtic are at home the way it always has been.

4.) 06 Jul 2020 10:04:57
Gazza a do not like Scottish Football at all it seems to be very predictable .

I phoned my dad for example conversation went like this .

Hi dad seen the fixtures list

Naw son

Guess who we have first game if the season

Dad says Aberdeen away - correct

Dad - first old firm game at their ground - correct

Funny that eh?

5.) 06 Jul 2020 10:20:37
So we can play away on a Saturday night at half 5 but couldn’t play a Sunday At Ibrox if they are at home on a Saturday?

Why am I acting surprised also we all know the SPFL have nothing to hide they are clean as a whistle.

6.) 06 Jul 2020 10:22:03
Another Bear, we are away first game because we can't win the league, league champions always start at home and the first old firm game is at theirs because the first one was at ours last year. let's not let the truth get in the way of a good conspiracy theory though🙈👍.

7.) 06 Jul 2020 10:31:58
I’m out.

8.) 06 Jul 2020 10:37:55
Another bear

If Celtic win the league then they are at home 1st game of season.

If we win the league we would be at home 1st game of season.

Last season our game against Celtic was at home so this season Celtic play at home 1st against us.
How hard is that to understand? This isn’t nothing new but it suits your corrupt narrative.

9.) 06 Jul 2020 10:45:13
Another bear off course we r away they won the league.

10.) 06 Jul 2020 10:57:25
EXCUSES already.

11.) 06 Jul 2020 11:04:45
I see oldkilly is not conforming with his “comrades” in participating in Dry July!

12.) 06 Jul 2020 12:19:26
brilliant. Were away from home because celtic are at home due to winning league always been same way. No sure this is a new thing. Also celtics turn for 1st old firm game at home as was us last season. Such a bonkers rant its funny.

Bears really important to understand that Castore is a business and will want to sell our tops to high street retailers.

The club statement isn't hard to understand.

Yesterday I didn't buy my strip or my sons strips from Castore because they didn't have child sizes (my cubs are 2 and 4) I'll wait till August and queue at the mega store so I know the majority or proceeds go to The Rangers.

We will pull in a lot of money with the new kit deal now that Ashley is gone.

Don't concern yourself we the puddle drinkers propaganda.

Also Cruise, Van Wilder, Flannels, House of Frasier, Sports Direct . Ashley owns all of them if you don't want to fund that man I'd advise not to shop in any of these store .

AnotherBear

1.) 02 Jul 2020 10:41:02
You're right AnotherBear, our club statement is easy to understand, but some just jump in feet first and don't take time to think! Its only two parties that get the royalties of our castore sold rangers merchandise, ie. rangers and castore,
end of story and rest easy on that!
I don't care if sports direct, greaves (who's shop i really like) and any other high street store that castore eventually allow to sell our kits, as long as rangers and castore are benefiting with the sales/ royalties and we most definitely are! There's no other 3rd party!

2.) 02 Jul 2020 10:48:23
Excellent Another 👍.

3.) 02 Jul 2020 10:50:35
van wilder party liason? he also has a shareholding in 4 marketing ( which brings in and supplies all stone island garments to stores in UK) he's not daft.

4.) 02 Jul 2020 10:51:04
Apparently the kids strips will be going on sale soon according to heart and hand on Twitter Castore tried to get them on yesterday afternoon but they were too much demand on others.

5.) 02 Jul 2020 11:30:24
KJA9 all they need to do is put a picture up on the website. The have a whole month yet b4 they are available.

17 Jun 2020 21:35:33
Watching City vs Arsenal

Now I know that's a proper league and our "league" is a not far off a part time league but can someone tell me why the season was ended please?

Also while I'm asking questions was on the club website seen our boys training no

Morelos
Goldson
Bassey ?

AnotherBear

1.) 17 Jun 2020 21:40:41
Bassey joins on 1st July and I’ve seen Goldson in pics haven’t seen Alfie.

2.) 17 Jun 2020 22:06:59
Goldson at training.

3.) 17 Jun 2020 22:16:14
Another bear, your asking why the league was ended, my opinion- it definitely shouldn't of been but ask Coldo, he gave up on Rangers and wanted it ended. It just doesn't make any sense to me why its been ended. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do about it as there was a vote and we all know how that ended. I'm very bitter about this my friend.

4.) 17 Jun 2020 23:37:03
Coldo is only stating a fact that rangers voted to end the season. I’m not happy about it but what can you do?

According to reports tonight the Jambos are not going to let it go. Just need to see how it plays out.

Personally I’m looking forward to fixture list, new strip, new signings, new pitch, hopefully SG has Some new tactics. Celtic have their tainted title so time to move on.

5.) 17 Jun 2020 23:53:38
Baz, no, Coldo stated we wouldn't of won, that's my argument. We'll never know now. Win our game in hand, beat them twice then we're only 4 points behind. There bottle would of crashed and we would of won the league. Is it only me who is being positive about this?

6.) 18 Jun 2020 07:55:06
I agree The Stuck. Who's to say we couldn't have flown out the traps while they stuttered? Is it not possible? It happened the other way and we have proved that we certainly are good enough at key times. It is never over till it's over imo.

On a side issue the whole thing with the cloak and dagger stuff and the dodgy did they, will they, won't they voting farce peppered with some incredible media statements and agendas have left a rancid taste in my mouth. No wonder the rest of the football world laugh at us. Surreal.

7.) 18 Jun 2020 04:03:45
Rangers and hearts did "NOT" vote to end the season. Why are there still bears out there that believe this notion that rangers voted to end the league. They abstained from voting same as hearts after the debacle of the first vote and subsequent internal investigation joke.

8.) 18 Jun 2020 10:38:47
C'mon lads, no chance we would have caught them. 👍.

9.) 18 Jun 2020 10:49:35
Stuck, not once did I say I wanted it ended 👍.

10.) 18 Jun 2020 11:05:33
Stuck, agreed I am mistaken. Rangers voted against finishing the season early back in April - part of the Dundee late vote fiasco.

However, in May when Celtic were declared champions the SPFL said all Premiership clubs were unanimous in that decision 🤷‍♂️That would suggest that Rangers agreed with the decision. If you know otherwise more inclined to go with you than SPFL.

11.) 18 Jun 2020 12:03:39
Correct Baz👍.

08 Jun 2020 19:39:44
Just like to ask how many of you on this site think Dykes, Cosgrove, Ferguson etc will take Rangers to the next level?

I'll start off by saying I think we need to look at a lot better than this caliber of player.

AnotherBear

1.) 08 Jun 2020 20:11:37
Domestically they may fill in the team and have us a bit more ready for the tougher games where teams sit in or against the hammer throwers however I still wouldn't think that is the level needed to stop celtic.

2.) 08 Jun 2020 20:12:22
Of course not.

3.) 08 Jun 2020 20:20:51
Stopping Celtic IS beating the teams that sit in and the teams that are hammer throwers, we are already as good as Celtic head to head.

4.) 08 Jun 2020 20:36:18
Absolutely they are good enough! We need a core of players who know spl!

Dykes or cosgrove are big boys that can put themselves about! Ferguson is an ian ferguson type player, just what we need!

5.) 08 Jun 2020 20:17:31
Those players will win us the runners up prize again.

6.) 08 Jun 2020 21:01:19
Can anyone honestly imagine Lyndon Dykes Playing against Bayer Leverkusen?

7.) 08 Jun 2020 21:16:06
Another bear you're another one who's just not getting it regarding IF we were to sign lyndon dykes. He wouldn't be our no.1 striker especially for european games. But he would be very useful in the scottish premiership games when things are not going to plan and we need to mix it up a bit. He'd be a good addition to our squad because of this. Why can people just not understand this? 🤔.

8.) 08 Jun 2020 21:16:45
We don’t need players like them for Leverkusens etc same way we never needed Kris Boyd for anything other than skelping all the Diddy teams relentlessly.

9.) 08 Jun 2020 21:35:53
Dykes has one good game against Celtic.
If he was that good surely he would have consistently turned it on against all the other sides?
Cosgrove's goal ratio is inflated by penalties and his 2nd touch is a tackle!
Ferguson is already racking up red and yellow cards in Dons shirt. I'd hate to see referees treatment of him in a Rangers jersey. Plus he isn't good enough. 👍.

10.) 08 Jun 2020 21:36:46
I would have said no initially, then I see re-runs of games where we win a league with guys like Ian Ferguson, bomber brown, hurlock etc. Now I think to battle with teams we’re dropping points to we need to be more physical in certain areas of the pitch. 11 silky players isn’t going to win us the league either. We need a couple of players who can roll their sleeves up and get stuck in, a centre half, defensive mid and a striker. Maybe for certain games where we’ve dropped points in the past, these players might actually be exactly what we need.

11.) 08 Jun 2020 22:30:38
Seen all this when lafferty came back that he would mix it up and be good against teams that sit in. It's not target men you need to beat these teams. You need clever players who can find a pass to guys who can make space. Big centre halfs hate playing against pace.

12.) 08 Jun 2020 22:53:23
Guys, so the general concensus of opinion here is that Dykes, Ferguson and Cosgrove are not good enough for us in Europe. Tell me then, are the current players good enough for Europe, and, how much money do you really think is available for players. There was also negativity on the signing of young Bassey, and the potential to also get young Fox, I believe that Bassey will be very good for us, he looks an athlete, unlike some of the wimps who pulled on the jersey this season, how many real quality players do Celtic have, I'd say 3, Edourd, McGregor and Forster, the rest are hard players who don't shirk a battle, just my opinion guys.

13.) 08 Jun 2020 23:16:22
I would if we can buy the hammer throwers build a team of them just for the season its the only way to play against most of the teams in the league the better players can't seem to be able to break down the defensive teams the bigger guys would bully them into making mistakes a bit like martin Oneil did with pacific shelf might not be pretty but it might give us a chance.

14.) 08 Jun 2020 23:48:52
Don’t know if any of you played I played a bit not at a great level but decent . Give me good footballers over be physical players any day I guarantee you the good footballers will come out on top.

15.) 09 Jun 2020 07:00:17
Steve Davis didn’t when he got kicked off the park against Aberdeen at ibrox . It finished his season and he was flying before it happened . One reason we lost the league me thinks.

16.) 09 Jun 2020 07:02:26
Another Bear, I also played all my life and what you say is true, there is no substitute for skill and ability it always came out on top I saw this throughout my years of playing.

17.) 09 Jun 2020 08:18:28
The crux of the matter for me is lyndon dykes would be a good signing for us especially against our bread and butter scottish teams! He's proved against the best two teams, us and them, that he's capable and gave both defences a torrid time. I've been impressed everytime i've seen dykes playing against us.

18.) 09 Jun 2020 08:55:22
To say Dykes has only had 1 good game is total nonsense I think he has shown up well in games against is and caused us plenty of problems. As SGL said he wouldn’t be first choice striker but would give us another option and isn’t afraid to get stuck in.

19.) 09 Jun 2020 08:57:34
Another bear,

You need a bit of both though especially in Scotland. We have plenty of skilful players in our team but do lack some steel. See nothing wrong with having physical players especially when you play away from home.

20.) 09 Jun 2020 09:10:27
I played pro youth with Hamilton then 8 years junior football with vale of leven, I was a centre half and even at those levels I was always asked to play the ball out find a pass.

I was more physical and had pace but wasn’t technical or silky, but I read the game well. The days of lumping ball up from back for rangers are gone so spending money on dykes and cosgrove would b money wasted and they both wouldn’t take us forward.

No problem with The Rangers trying to sign this lad Toney . 26 goal in league one which for me is on a par if not better that “the Scottish Premiership” .

I do have a problem if Buffalo is sold and we don’t use the money for a European class striker .

When Buffalo came no one knew him. His European goal scoring record is exceptional.

Is this lad Toney going to be able to produce in Europe? We have a duty as we are the only team left representing our country in Europe .

The reason for this is so they can finish the Scottish cup. SPFL and SNP wouldn’t want to stand in the way of a potential treble.

Every player that wants to leave can go Ill be surprised if its a bigger club that Rangers that's for the full team. Warburton has said it many times they will leave on our terms whatever offer comes in from players I would double it right away . So in this case its believed to be 2.5m for a full back that scored 15 goals and can score you 4 or 5 free kicks? 4.5m and best of luck . Just my thoughts.
