I don’t have Facebook but got a call on the road back from the game from a mate who said Defoe has been in a car accident can anyone confirm?

He’s ok. 👍🏻.

Well tonight's game Barton strolled through it no end, Kranc just looks like he floats on air but my main positive is how good Rossiter looked in the 30mins he got! He put a tackle in and I know the opposition wasn't the best but he showed great urgency and he knows how to play a pass and also the most important thing he plays the right pass! Can't wait to see this lad get a full 90mins I think this boy is a steal at £250k.

Wilson/ Keirnan looked as comfortable as ever with Barton in front.

Our Joey strolled it tonight. He'll stroll most games up here but his quality is there for everyone to see.

Can't wait for Hamilton.

2.) 25 Jul 2016 22:01:57
Guys really think we need to get a grip on reality. We had over 20 shots on goal and only scored 3, 1 of them a penalty. Barton was not impressive for me, he plays more sideways passes than Barry Ferguson did, . McKay? Why does he put the brakes on when he goes past even poor defenders. For me a lot of huffing and puffing to no great effect against a very poor team member
Let's hope it gets better soon?

3.) 25 Jul 2016 22:47:12
I don't want a grip on whatever reality your on bil72! The guys above are right Barton added a lot of protection to the cb's which was previously missing, rossiter likewise! Mckay wasn't as good as previous couple of games but forester more than made up for that with his energetic clever play, tavs delivery into the box was also very good.

A lot of positives to be taken even if it was against weaker opposition! We still have to go out and break these teams down.

4.) 25 Jul 2016 22:53:27

Can only beat what's in front of you! Barton and kranjkaer didn't need to come out first gear and still strolled it. I thought Barton was mom to be honest, hate guys like you, no matter what happens you'll never be happy.

5.) 25 Jul 2016 22:57:51
Bloody hell! I thought the team played well tonight and hardly had to get out of first gear. Remember most of these guys are finding their feet. As the old saying goes - you can please some of the people etc etc. But yes the lad Rossiter looks a steal. We are looking good, dare I say it!

6.) 25 Jul 2016 23:03:37
I thought Barry McKay bossed the whole game till he was taken of Fun!

7.) 25 Jul 2016 23:33:57
I was at game and thought Barton was a bit off the pace too, Mckay is great to watch and hope he goes from strenth to strenth. Stranraer are very average and the test will be when the league starts, lots of chances and ahould have had more goals but that'll come as game go on. Barton will be better as games go on too but all in all decent win! Moan the gers.

8.) 25 Jul 2016 23:46:29
Jordan Rossiter is going to be some player - I did mention him a few days ago and tinight he showed a maturity beyond his years - You can see the style of Gerrard in his play and movement - Superb signing -.

9.) 26 Jul 2016 00:47:58
Pierre, you must not have been at same game I was as Barton strolled it! In first gear I may add. Broke up play when needed, kept it simple but moving, won his tackles etc he was our best player with kranjkaer I thought, but ofcourse entitled to opinions.

10.) 26 Jul 2016 01:13:13
Didn't think Barton looked match fit and a few loose passes but his class is obvious. Thought mckay was superb. Niko oozes class too. Rossiter just slotted in to Bartons position like a glove.

11.) 26 Jul 2016 05:31:56
At the game last night and thought joey barton's passing range was very good, can't agree with a couple of the above posters that didn't think barton was good last night, although still not 100% match fit he oozed class and cruised the game and our defence looked a helluva lot tighter with his presence, kranjcar looked good in phases although a wee bit to go in fitness also, barrie mckay superb, but I've always been raving about him and I'm a big fan of his.

12.) 26 Jul 2016 08:08:50
People still need to remember that this is still really pre season. A silly competition format that has stopped us playing harder competition. The team has only conceded 1 goal. And I think in total there has been 10 shots in at our goal so it says that something has improved. Keep calm bears.

13.) 26 Jul 2016 11:11:12
Thorn76, i also thought wilson had a good game, he seems good when he has experienced players round about him, but he needs to stand on hiis own two feet, as he won't always have such comfort blankets around him, imo, he is old enough to play a good game, that's why he is vunrable.

14.) 26 Jul 2016 12:55:32
got to say for me McKay should have got man of the match but niko a close second the guys class oozed out over the pitch!

for me to say barton covered our defence well is a joke as we didn't have any defending to do.

rossiter for me would have been man of the match if he had played 90 boy reminds me of a young barry ferguson which despite what bil72 (the pessimist) says barry was a great player for rangers and if rossiter has a rangers carrer like him i'd be over the moon.

15.) 26 Jul 2016 15:49:29
Thought Barton looked overweight last night though still fit enough to stroll through a game like that. Rossiter reminds me more of Roy Keane than Stevie G. Kranjcar when fully fit will be the best of all the new boys. Think the League Cup has been good for us, for the fact that instead of meaningless friendlies, these small clubs have been competitive without ever threatening us. Its let us get our match fitness up to speed.

Loved Boyd's view on Tim's new manager. Doesn't matter who they get they are going to lose most of their present team. According to Boydy only Turnbull will be kept. The new manager will want quality players who will cost mega bucks which timmyland dosent have. PACK OF CARDS.

So we made a few changes. Stevie has spoke about depth in squad and what other players will bring. Tonight my fellow Bears I see this in abundance. Right back covered, centre mid covered. These spots were our worry and the South African lad given a few games will be immense never a square pass always forward and yeah sometimes it didn’t come off but he has vision.

Now I’ve got a question for all of us. In previous seasons in Europe we have sat and thought he might be a good addition or it could make our team better. Apart from a few Benfica players is there really anyone we’ve seen and thought yeah he’d make a difference?

1.) 10 Dec 2020 20:27:44
Commentators tonight mentioned the stats of the Poznan striker (dunno his name) . Not to say him specifically but it was something like 14 goals in domestic and 5 in Europe so far this season. These are the markets and the teams we should be looking at players for, provided the age is right. Young hungry lads wanting to make a name for themselves that we can get early are what we want. Sell for profit after a few years.

2.) 10 Dec 2020 20:49:29
Liked the look of tapsoba from liege. iege goalie was also decent.

3.) 10 Dec 2020 21:03:22
Mikael ishak Swedish striker he isn’t young tho he’s 27.

4.) 10 Dec 2020 21:12:42
1 or 2 liege players and 3 or 4 Benfica players i'd take. Itten was good tonight, just as well as Alfredo is really toiling.

As much as I don’t like Clarke or whatever Christie, McGregor or Griffiths are . I’m the proudest Scotsman ever! I’ve sat here with my girl who was born during our last tournament in 98 and we both had tears in our eyes when she knew the story behind why I was so up for this massive game . well played the boys and wee Jack played a massive part in it 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿.

Wats wrong with me i just don't bother how the scotland team do ther just a hinder to my beloved rangers i didn't even smile when i heard scotland qualified.

3.) 12 Nov 2020 23:10:28
Really looking forward to the Euros now, will will nice to have a tourney to keep the excitement going while we bask in #55.

Well done Ryan Jack and all the Scotland players tonight!

4.) 12 Nov 2020 23:17:03
I’m very happy for you mate, I’m glad you had a great time, and enjoy the experience tonight,
And I must give credit were it’s due, SGL was correct in his assessment of Dykes’.

5.) 12 Nov 2020 23:44:42
And have to say I am impressed every time I’ve seen kenny McLean play too, only on the bench usually but very accomplished dead ball and penalty taking, and a Rangers fan, I’ve seen worse at ibrox.

6.) 12 Nov 2020 23:45:10
Well said Blackwood, I totally agree, I was proud of them all tonight, and of course I'm biased towards our own Ryan Jack, coolness personified.

7.) 13 Nov 2020 08:16:56
Don't rate Kenny McLean.

8.) 13 Nov 2020 08:25:34
Ye the question is would’ve dykes do better than itten don’t know only time will tell buffalo be away at end of season.

9.) 13 Nov 2020 10:30:03
A rate dykes but he’s not better than buffalo he hasn’t proved anything yet at qpr so time will tell my heart goes out to big lafferty absaloutey shame for the family.

10.) 13 Nov 2020 15:40:06
That’s good sweep.

SGL it’s no secret that Ryan has issues with his knees and SG himself has said in the past they need to be careful of how they play him. I’m sure Ryan Jack will be back in the team soon doing what he does best and put that bit of dig back in our side that’s been missing from the midfield past few weeks 👍.

Anyone saying Lingard wouldn't be a benefit to our club are insane! The lad has loads and I mean loads of potential and if it wasn’t for before mentioned personal problems he’d be a Man Uts regular . this lad played and scored for England and his ball control is exceptional and at 27 years of age he needs a new focus on football.

Is the lad not in contract talks at present as out of contract next year? And also to compare him to Turnball maybe slightly outrageous at present as the lad is in the team to replace Turnball and tbf he’s doing quite a decent job from what I’ve seen of him this season and my brother in law ( ardent Motherwell supporter ) is raving about him saying £3mill for Turnbull is robbery from the Well.

Tbf I’m more impressed by how our manger conducts himself in interviews. He says all the right things while deflecting the questions around signings. Let’s not get carried away by one interview as he never ever talks about transfers tbf.

I work as a Sales Manager for a car company and as of Sunday night our head office building will close. We will probably close the branches within the next week also to the public as we’re running our digital click n collect business. Now I know it counts for nothing but I’m a great believer if car companies are willing to close I’m sure there is something in the pipeline where full lockdown is close. As of the title being awarded it’s not for me I’d rather we won it fair and square on the park so them across the city can’t put a * against our title unlike theirs from last season.

I say we play our strongest team possible! I also say every time this season we play ( and we’ll play for more games than the mhanks) that we play our strongest team!
We have a squad that SG has built past two seasons to cope with this and the that’s the managers words so I feel every single game needs to be the strongest possible .

Tom Do you ever have anything positive to say on this fine forum? You’re the sort of guy if I’ve been to Tenerife you’ve been to Elevenerife! Can you just not let people voice their opinions without negative comments all the time?
