15 May 2020 18:46:10
Looks like we are going to lose out on bringing Charlie Allen in. That's a sore one. Believe we have dropped the ball on this one if we really could have brought him in.

Bluegenius

1.) 15 May 2020 22:02:59
Bluegenious that's a total disgrace
Rangers have let this lad slip through their fingers boy was a dyed-in-the-wool ranger. Thought the Gilmour saga would have been a lesson.

2.) 15 May 2020 23:05:21
Disgrace?
We don't have the money to pull these young guys in.
The thought of playing for the Gers is no longer the pull!
£££££ wins every time these days.

3.) 16 May 2020 00:11:14
We weren’t in for him.

4.) 16 May 2020 01:17:18
Guys, we have no money and we will have to sell to buy players. Hagi won’t be coming either😡🇬🇧✌️.

5.) 16 May 2020 04:04:22
Hagi will be, using part of the £18.25m bid rumoured to be lying on the table from Brighton for Morelos.

6.) 16 May 2020 09:35:51
I think we'll be doing well in this financial climate to get £18.5m Morelos. £4.5m for hagi seems pricey to me. A talented player no doubt but I'd like someone experience.

7.) 16 May 2020 11:11:14
Apparently we weren't interested in signing the lad Charlie Alenn, and that is coming straight from the 4lads on twitter,

8.) 16 May 2020 13:57:10
Haji isn't worth 2 million imo, think he's vastly overrated.

9.) 16 May 2020 15:33:48
Rangers had the lad watched and had an interest but decided to go for the young lad Lindsey (I think young attacking midfielder) instead. As for we have no money that couldn't be further from the truth we are in a good financial place all things considered. We own 100% of all assets, we have no debt, we have a new kit deal worth a decent amount, we have had good early ST sales so far not the level of last season but above the virus expectations. We have a planned internal share issue which from what I hear we could double the amount of shares offered and still have waiting list and finally there is a new investor in place just waiting for all the virus stuff to calm down do that can be completed. Look for us to start bringing in younger players with big potential with view to buy cheap and early develop and sell at decent profits. I reckon we are doing better than most.

10.) 16 May 2020 17:21:20
Jetmayfair if rangers and gerrard were not interested in charlie allen that says a lot about gerrard
i. e. kent ojo this guy is on a par with wee lindsay from N. ireland.

11.) 16 May 2020 19:44:35
Jetmayfair, yea i saw it mentioned on there site, good site for genuine rangers news, real rangers stories, not thee rubbish we read in the news, any good news is blocked by mclennen, fact, mate.

12.) 16 May 2020 23:36:43
You reading bellshills post mull?
Think you should.

13.) 17 May 2020 03:14:29
Mr Grumpy, Hagi, Lewis Ferguson and Dykes will be purchased with the money we get for Morelos and I'm not kidding when I say there's a very strong rumour that the £18.25 million Brighton offer is genuinely on the table, just waiting for this virus to be over.

14.) 17 May 2020 06:57:34
Haven't heard that rumour convenater, guess we'll see soon enough.

15.) 17 May 2020 16:55:32
Covenanter ferguson and dykes are not dependant on morelos sale. Morelos future hasn't bee decide and as soon as possible there will be a meeting with morelos, his agent, wilson and Gerrard to discuss his future. SG, GM and Wilson all want him to stay another year. Ultimately it will be up to morelos but he will only be sold if our valuation is met.

16.) 18 May 2020 14:27:03
Such transparent rubbish, bellshillad. If there was to be any meeting then it's obvious that those you mention would be there, doesn't take 'insight' to work that out. And you can have a meeting without it being face to face, like the rest of the world is doing right now, so why would they have to wait?
In your other post you said we had Charlie Allen watched and had an interest, but decided to pursue Lindsay instead. Nonsense! We knew about the boy, of course, but to suggest we gave up on him to go after a different wee boy is laughable. It was never a case of one or the other, We are allowed to go for more than one, you know! Allen made it clear over the past year that he would be going to England, and only lazy journalists looking for copy suggested he was a Rangers target because of the Linfield connection. He was never on our scouting radar and was never actively scouted. He was merely watch in games that were scouted for general purposes, like most kids at a decent level in NI. Me? I'm happy we got the one who is by far the best of the three current 'future stars' from NI - the other one was Dale Taylor, also of Linfield.

Hi guys,

Now this is a rumour from a friend with someone in the know (allegedly) . My friend is from the dark side but has no real reason to give this info falsely.
He has advised we are looking at appointing Roberto Martinez after the world cup. He said this is not guaranteed to happen but is 100% certain the board have met with him already.
That's as much as I know. Not sure how I feel about it TBH.

Bluegenius

1.) 19 Apr 2018 12:23:45
Your friend is taking the c**t right out you!

2.) 19 Apr 2018 12:24:26
Heard the same thing a coupleven of months ago

3.) 19 Apr 2018 12:40:15
One thing I do know is that his wife is from Motherwell, good rumour but extremely unlikely I would have thought!

4.) 19 Apr 2018 12:41:52
bluegenuis

I was talking to Charlie miller in local pub last week and he suggested that is a potential candidate

5.) 19 Apr 2018 13:03:52
This rumour is true and it is the reason board members have been having meetings in Spain. Arteta is supposedly part of this aswell. I'm not saying Martinez is the next manager but he is on the list.

6.) 19 Apr 2018 13:28:22
Board will probably go for another cheap option not getting my hopes up been let down too many times

7.) 19 Apr 2018 14:08:55
LDM17 you are dismissing this because?

The fact that Martinez's wife is local is one of the reasons that were given for this to potentially happen.

8.) 19 Apr 2018 15:46:36
I was speaking to a friend an hour ago and mentioned I’d read this and I was laughing about it, he told me his friend who usually has good info heard this when at the golf club from someone who will remain nameless as it would be unfair to attach his name to a rumour but there just might be some mileage in this

9.) 19 Apr 2018 17:49:43
Arteta? Man city coach and candidate for the arsenal job? I slightly believed it up until then. more fool me

10.) 19 Apr 2018 19:15:41
Martinet will be a complete flop up here. They guys philosophy to football is exactly what we have been trying since Warburton was appointed.

Great if u have hazard, de Bruyne and Co but not so good with poor to average players and he won't even have them with us.

28 Jun 2017 08:17:09
Is Danny wilson fit for Thursday?
Who is all out of the game?

Bluegenius

1.) 28 Jun 2017 09:17:51
When he was ruled out at the end of the season it was reckoned he would be out for 10-12 weeks so don't think we'll see him till August or September.

2.) 28 Jun 2017 09:20:15
no still injured

3.) 28 Jun 2017 09:20:25
Still injured I believe. Candeias can't play as he's registered with Alanyaspor until 1st of July and Alves as he's on international duty. I believe they're the only 3 that are out mate

4.) 28 Jun 2017 09:23:08
Wilson is injured but I think everyone else registered will be available apart from Mckay who won't be included!

5.) 28 Jun 2017 09:41:52
Thanks lads.

6.) 28 Jun 2017 12:20:54
So that leaves us cardoso and bates at centre back then

7.) 28 Jun 2017 14:29:42
Probably but Pedro was talking up Ross McCrorie today so maybe he'll start alongside Cardoso?

22 Jun 2017 09:15:07
I'm reading that Ashley has agreed to sell his stake in our club as part of the merchandise deal.
This is turning out to be a great move by our board!
(Tips his hat! )

Bluegenius

1.) 22 Jun 2017 11:08:06
went to the megastore store today. soo busy and everything sold out

2.) 22 Jun 2017 14:21:48
Could be a silly question, but if we buy or tops in a sports direct store will we make any money or will fatsley keep it all?

3.) 22 Jun 2017 14:37:51
50/ 50 at SD "equal share" was the term used, buy it at the megastore hope your a XXXL lol

4.) 22 Jun 2017 14:51:09
We will make a good bit more money than previously however I think we will make more still if bought from the Megastore or webstore.

Bit serious on here recently lads. So for z bit of banter. Having seen Matt Hummels thrown into emergency CF during Euros.

Which of out CB's would fair best if we played them as a no.9?

Bluegenius

goldson got a brace at sharkhead….

19 May 2021 18:15:58
My thoughts go out to Peter Lawwell and his family. Explosion/ fire at family home. All OK. Hope its not as appears and really hope its not football related.
Nothing in our great game justifies that. From any side!

Bluegenius

1.) 20 May 2021 04:00:06
Would have to wonder who would do such a heinous act. Recently he has received a lot of stick from a minority of celtic fans as well as the same minority of imbeciles that "support" our famous club. He hasn't really had to look far haters recently as their fans have blamed him for the loss of the fabled 10.

2.) 20 May 2021 08:43:02
Not a great thing to happen to anyone, there was a baby in the house too.

3.) 20 May 2021 09:39:39
I am utterly disgusted that someone has done this to him, not a single soul is deserving of this.

19 Apr 2021 18:23:54
Guys a few questions for debate:

Does anyone think the European super league is a good idea? I don’t but just curious.

Does this open the door to old firm to EPL?

Is the old firm moving to EPL akin to this ESL?

Bluegenius

1.) 19 Apr 2021 19:16:44
Old Firm moving to EPL on their own is the exact same as the "big 6" moving to the Super League.
I'd much rather see a British League encompassing all Scottish teams that are interested to compete.
How you find their place / level would be difficult.

2.) 19 Apr 2021 19:19:17
I pointed out to a man u supporting mate this afternoon that this is a cash grab but so was the actual formation of the EPL back in 92.

Big difference is the EPL had a route for teams through promotion/ relegation and this is much more closed door and protect the richest teams.

3.) 19 Apr 2021 19:25:06
BG I think it's a horrible idea but let them run on can't see it being allowed to happen. I think the new idea for the champions league is horrible too picking teams to take part even if they don't qualify is wrong it's not for the fans. As for us going to the Premier League I think it's slightly different our fans would say yes and I think most of the rest of the league's fans would love us to go. Could end up better for everyone.

4.) 19 Apr 2021 20:13:15
I don’t see where uefa are coming from in this one saying it’s a closed shop as that’s what they have been trying do for years with the champs league making harder for the smaller nations to qualify its hypocrisy on their part in my opinion.

If we can get in to epl or British league out of it which I very much doubt then am all for it.

5.) 19 Apr 2021 20:19:17
This is the worst thing in football ever and could destroy the club's that have signed up to a ludicrous folly.
If we look at it all I can see is that the fans and the players will decide. Without both it is doomed. I can't see this working. Travel distances are huge, tv prices massive, no pies at Ibrox. WTF.

6.) 19 Apr 2021 20:20:41
Ach, I'm getting pig sick of all this money talks football .

What kind of "sport" is it that if you don't have the money you will struggle to win games in the professional leagues.

Sure times have changed but why has it to be all about the money now.

7.) 19 Apr 2021 20:22:43
Its truly shocking actually, a money grab like no other in football history,

Rich owners who never should have been allowed to purchase British clubs, to me its akin to billionaire Russian, Arab or Middle Eastern buying up London properties, but they allowed these people to do it, with they're proper person mandate and due diligence now shown to be a nonsense, unfit fir purpose

However I can see the fans of these " top 6" clubs refusing to take anything to do with it, player's will sign fir them because " cash is king" but fans don't need to, then it will crumble like a pack of cards

What will the Liverpool fans be feeling about this ED?

8.) 19 Apr 2021 20:30:22
I think all football fans should boycott watching the games or attending, I think all tv co
Pants should refuse to purchase the product
Sponsors would soon get the message and it would fall apart, any club signed up to take part should then be banned from UEFA competitions for 2 years if legally possible. Might just be the start of a turnaround in football as the top players would have to leave these clubs and accept smaller wages at smaller clubs etc.
it’s a disgraceful decision by the “12” and I believe it will fail and they will all look very stupid.

9.) 19 Apr 2021 21:32:50
IGWT these owners don’t care about fans attending as they will make that much money from it to be honest.

And people will watch it if it happens IMO.

10.) 19 Apr 2021 21:48:30
Who cares that 12 teams have been hoovering money out the game for years creating unbalance throughout football. This could be a catalyst for something good to happen transfer fees and players wages are out of control and it’s football fans that are footing the bill, hopefully this will be a wake up call for football as a hole.

11.) 19 Apr 2021 22:28:38
The only reason UEFA are up in arms about this is lose of revenue and prestige. They've been trying to makeit as difficult as possible for smaller nations to qualify for CL for years. The whole thing stinks to high heaven. Fair play to the Liverpool fans for letting THEIR club know exactly what they think.

12.) 19 Apr 2021 22:36:23
The owners of the Super League teams have already said they don't care much about the "legacy" fans and are more interested in the "fans of the future" .
These clubs are huge all round the world now and if there is a t. v. market they will always be able to sell the product.

13.) 19 Apr 2021 23:50:22
Unfortunately the fans they want are as Roy Keane talked about years ago, the prawn sandwich brigade. The corporate boxes, the lot who can't even be bothered to take their seats for the 2nd half of the game because they've got no interest what's going on on the pitch. That's who the money grabbing b! #%&€ds want. Sick of it.

14.) 20 Apr 2021 00:38:41
the product will be massively aim at china and the middle eastern bloc

but they may just have overdoneit and underestimated the real fansc worldwide, and if it dives, what then, do the top 6 crawl back.

15.) 20 Apr 2021 08:16:15
Alan Shearer summed it up perfectly on BBC TV this morning, kick these 6 Clubs out of The EPL at this mornings meeting, the other Clubs, just might do that, to hell with these money grabbing pariahs.

16.) 20 Apr 2021 08:23:12
Champions league has always been in the pyramid system. Yes it's been made harder to produce better games against better teams. the esl has only got 1 thing in my. protecting the interests of 15 clubs for them to make as much money as possible then that clubs think they can then play in there domestic leagues with there advantage over finances to every other team. if by any chance they can't legally be removed from there domestic leagues then teams should turn up to a game, kick off then walk off the park at every game against them.

17.) 20 Apr 2021 09:51:33
What would your thoughts be if Rangers, and Celtic for that matter, were invited to join this breakaway league? Would you be excited about it? We would get gubbed pretty much in every game, but the money would allow us to improve.

Just another though along similar lines, knowing that this Euro Super League has been planned for some time, and possibly that there would be a chance to join or move elsewhere to plug gaps, does the repeated attempt to put colt teams into the Scottish league set up become easier to understand? Is it our way of keeping a presence in the Scottish league set up?

18.) 20 Apr 2021 12:12:32
It's become quite clear that this is being driven by 2 clubs who are seriously debt ridden. Real Madrid and Barca.

19.) 20 Apr 2021 12:45:33
this is a us style marketing move that without support (grassroots or otherwise) or legitimacy is, like the original american leagues. doomed to failure. even asia will see through this. but it is a pressure move on the current system that magically got altered.

20.) 20 Apr 2021 12:54:40
Kja9 I get what your saying mate ie tv money would cover the loss of fans attending or for that matter jp Morgan’s money would cover it, but if the tv company n company’s like Amazon stay strong and refuse to collaborate with the idea then no Morgan would pull the plug as they would have no way of getting there money back. If a company decides to pay the money then fans should boycott watching it or attending. I for one would not watch a single game 100% can honestly say that.
Someone asked if rangers or Celtic joined would we want that? Absolutely 100% no. I wouldn’t attend a game or watch a game again. It’s anti football at its best. Football about being competitive and this would be more of going to see the globetrotters than a football match. Doesn’t interest me whatsoever and I actually think fan power and the pundits n politicians etc condemning it, even sky sports actively condemning it. I think it will crumble within weeks before it even gets any further than it has.

21.) 20 Apr 2021 13:57:04
How is it “ exactly the same “.

19 Feb 2021 16:25:02
Lots of folk asking who we should bring in re emergency RB cover. Are we still able to bring people in? Thought window was closed and no options?

Bluegenius

1.) 19 Feb 2021 16:46:44
Alan Hutton?

2.) 19 Feb 2021 16:52:25
What's wrong with keeping Balogun in the position, the boss said last night that he played in that role in Germany, I thought he was terrific last night in the role, I certainly don't want Flannagan back.

3.) 19 Feb 2021 16:53:10
Free agents I'd imagine.

4.) 19 Feb 2021 17:01:57
Irvger manager said today that if tav was only out for weeks he would not bring someone in however if out longer he would seek to bring some one in.

5.) 19 Feb 2021 20:56:49
Alan Hutton you having a giraffe sweep?

19 Feb 2021 09:09:53
How Nathan Paterson must be kicking himself now.
Hope Tsv's injury isn't a bad one but ghis would be the ideal opportunity for the youngster to prove himself and he's blown it big style!

Bluegenius

1.) 19 Feb 2021 09:42:13

2.) 19 Feb 2021 09:57:52
The team need him now more than ever. Its only ifs and buts until the ifs and buts happen. That's the mentality of an Apologist. 👍.

3.) 19 Feb 2021 09:59:29
I reckon he is out for the season.

4.) 19 Feb 2021 10:00:04
Agreed, how fate seems to work when it comes to these kind of things! Really really hope I’m wrong but the way Tav got injured last night then tried to play on reminded me so much of how Naismith injured his knee ligaments when he played for us. Went in for same kind of challenge, got treatment, tried to play on and went down next time he kicked the ball. He ended up being out for over 8 months if I remember. Fingers crossed I’m wrong but it looked so similar.

Report said a Scottish club and at 1.3m it must be one of old firm.

Schlupp would be a solid choice. Can cover number of positions so being 2nd choice behind Barisic (assuming he stays) gives us real strength and he will play more than Bassey due to versatility.

I will firstly sat that I greatly dislike Scott Brown the footballer.
However having met the guy through my line of work several times he is a really nice lad away from it
Disappointing I know as it makes it harder to dislike him but a nice lad and I believe he would have done this genuinely.
