Latest rumour out of Colombia.
Morelos to Porto.

15 May 2020 18:46:10
Looks like we are going to lose out on bringing Charlie Allen in. That's a sore one. Believe we have dropped the ball on this one if we really could have brought him in.

1.) 15 May 2020 22:02:59
Bluegenious that's a total disgrace
Rangers have let this lad slip through their fingers boy was a dyed-in-the-wool ranger. Thought the Gilmour saga would have been a lesson.

2.) 15 May 2020 23:05:21
We don't have the money to pull these young guys in.
The thought of playing for the Gers is no longer the pull!
£££££ wins every time these days.

3.) 16 May 2020 00:11:14
We weren’t in for him.

4.) 16 May 2020 01:17:18
Guys, we have no money and we will have to sell to buy players. Hagi won’t be coming either😡🇬🇧✌️.

5.) 16 May 2020 04:04:22
Hagi will be, using part of the £18.25m bid rumoured to be lying on the table from Brighton for Morelos.

6.) 16 May 2020 09:35:51
I think we'll be doing well in this financial climate to get £18.5m Morelos. £4.5m for hagi seems pricey to me. A talented player no doubt but I'd like someone experience.

7.) 16 May 2020 11:11:14
Apparently we weren't interested in signing the lad Charlie Alenn, and that is coming straight from the 4lads on twitter,

8.) 16 May 2020 13:57:10
Haji isn't worth 2 million imo, think he's vastly overrated.

9.) 16 May 2020 15:33:48
Rangers had the lad watched and had an interest but decided to go for the young lad Lindsey (I think young attacking midfielder) instead. As for we have no money that couldn't be further from the truth we are in a good financial place all things considered. We own 100% of all assets, we have no debt, we have a new kit deal worth a decent amount, we have had good early ST sales so far not the level of last season but above the virus expectations. We have a planned internal share issue which from what I hear we could double the amount of shares offered and still have waiting list and finally there is a new investor in place just waiting for all the virus stuff to calm down do that can be completed. Look for us to start bringing in younger players with big potential with view to buy cheap and early develop and sell at decent profits. I reckon we are doing better than most.

10.) 16 May 2020 17:21:20
Jetmayfair if rangers and gerrard were not interested in charlie allen that says a lot about gerrard
i. e. kent ojo this guy is on a par with wee lindsay from N. ireland.

11.) 16 May 2020 19:44:35
Jetmayfair, yea i saw it mentioned on there site, good site for genuine rangers news, real rangers stories, not thee rubbish we read in the news, any good news is blocked by mclennen, fact, mate.

12.) 16 May 2020 23:36:43
You reading bellshills post mull?
Think you should.

13.) 17 May 2020 03:14:29
Mr Grumpy, Hagi, Lewis Ferguson and Dykes will be purchased with the money we get for Morelos and I'm not kidding when I say there's a very strong rumour that the £18.25 million Brighton offer is genuinely on the table, just waiting for this virus to be over.

14.) 17 May 2020 06:57:34
Haven't heard that rumour convenater, guess we'll see soon enough.

15.) 17 May 2020 16:55:32
Covenanter ferguson and dykes are not dependant on morelos sale. Morelos future hasn't bee decide and as soon as possible there will be a meeting with morelos, his agent, wilson and Gerrard to discuss his future. SG, GM and Wilson all want him to stay another year. Ultimately it will be up to morelos but he will only be sold if our valuation is met.

16.) 18 May 2020 14:27:03
Such transparent rubbish, bellshillad. If there was to be any meeting then it's obvious that those you mention would be there, doesn't take 'insight' to work that out. And you can have a meeting without it being face to face, like the rest of the world is doing right now, so why would they have to wait?
In your other post you said we had Charlie Allen watched and had an interest, but decided to pursue Lindsay instead. Nonsense! We knew about the boy, of course, but to suggest we gave up on him to go after a different wee boy is laughable. It was never a case of one or the other, We are allowed to go for more than one, you know! Allen made it clear over the past year that he would be going to England, and only lazy journalists looking for copy suggested he was a Rangers target because of the Linfield connection. He was never on our scouting radar and was never actively scouted. He was merely watch in games that were scouted for general purposes, like most kids at a decent level in NI. Me? I'm happy we got the one who is by far the best of the three current 'future stars' from NI - the other one was Dale Taylor, also of Linfield.

19 Apr 2018 11:58:03
Hi guys,

Now this is a rumour from a friend with someone in the know (allegedly) . My friend is from the dark side but has no real reason to give this info falsely.
He has advised we are looking at appointing Roberto Martinez after the world cup. He said this is not guaranteed to happen but is 100% certain the board have met with him already.
That's as much as I know. Not sure how I feel about it TBH.

1.) 19 Apr 2018 12:23:45
Your friend is taking the c**t right out you!

2.) 19 Apr 2018 12:24:26
Heard the same thing a coupleven of months ago

3.) 19 Apr 2018 12:40:15
One thing I do know is that his wife is from Motherwell, good rumour but extremely unlikely I would have thought!

4.) 19 Apr 2018 12:41:52

I was talking to Charlie miller in local pub last week and he suggested that is a potential candidate

5.) 19 Apr 2018 13:03:52
This rumour is true and it is the reason board members have been having meetings in Spain. Arteta is supposedly part of this aswell. I'm not saying Martinez is the next manager but he is on the list.

6.) 19 Apr 2018 13:28:22
Board will probably go for another cheap option not getting my hopes up been let down too many times

7.) 19 Apr 2018 14:08:55
LDM17 you are dismissing this because?

The fact that Martinez's wife is local is one of the reasons that were given for this to potentially happen.

8.) 19 Apr 2018 15:46:36
I was speaking to a friend an hour ago and mentioned I’d read this and I was laughing about it, he told me his friend who usually has good info heard this when at the golf club from someone who will remain nameless as it would be unfair to attach his name to a rumour but there just might be some mileage in this

9.) 19 Apr 2018 17:49:43
Arteta? Man city coach and candidate for the arsenal job? I slightly believed it up until then. more fool me

10.) 19 Apr 2018 19:15:41
Martinet will be a complete flop up here. They guys philosophy to football is exactly what we have been trying since Warburton was appointed.

Great if u have hazard, de Bruyne and Co but not so good with poor to average players and he won't even have them with us.

28 Jun 2017 08:17:09
Is Danny wilson fit for Thursday?
Who is all out of the game?

1.) 28 Jun 2017 09:17:51
When he was ruled out at the end of the season it was reckoned he would be out for 10-12 weeks so don't think we'll see him till August or September.

2.) 28 Jun 2017 09:20:15
no still injured

3.) 28 Jun 2017 09:20:25
Still injured I believe. Candeias can't play as he's registered with Alanyaspor until 1st of July and Alves as he's on international duty. I believe they're the only 3 that are out mate

4.) 28 Jun 2017 09:23:08
Wilson is injured but I think everyone else registered will be available apart from Mckay who won't be included!

5.) 28 Jun 2017 09:41:52
Thanks lads.

6.) 28 Jun 2017 12:20:54
So that leaves us cardoso and bates at centre back then

7.) 28 Jun 2017 14:29:42
Probably but Pedro was talking up Ross McCrorie today so maybe he'll start alongside Cardoso?

22 Jun 2017 09:15:07
I'm reading that Ashley has agreed to sell his stake in our club as part of the merchandise deal.
This is turning out to be a great move by our board!
(Tips his hat! )

1.) 22 Jun 2017 11:08:06
went to the megastore store today. soo busy and everything sold out

2.) 22 Jun 2017 14:21:48
Could be a silly question, but if we buy or tops in a sports direct store will we make any money or will fatsley keep it all?

3.) 22 Jun 2017 14:37:51
50/ 50 at SD "equal share" was the term used, buy it at the megastore hope your a XXXL lol

4.) 22 Jun 2017 14:51:09
We will make a good bit more money than previously however I think we will make more still if bought from the Megastore or webstore.

Hi guys,
Just wanted to say my piece about how things are going.
I am not an enternal optimist with blue tinted specs but unlike many on here I do not feel we are doomed and going nowhere.

Are we the finished article - not by a long shot but we have improved.

Last season we lost poor goals and were a bit ropey at the back. It cannot be understated how much better we look at the back. I feel that we are looking much stronger in that area. Killie have previously caused us loads of issues but we handled them well.

People shouting that Stevie G has n plan B but he has used 3 differing formations this season already.

Yesterdays game saw some good changes. Willingness to shoot from distance (Barker, Davis, Kent) meant Killie couldn't stay too deep. Itten being a target made us unpredictable.

We still need someone out on Right I feel and a Deep lying mid IMO but we are not that far off.

I just wish we had someone who had been through a winning season in recent years.

I know it's a stretch but I would like us to bring in someone like Uruguyan Martin Caceres. I know we have CB's but he can also cover RB and CDM. Has won a league 5-6 years in a row with Juve and is an animal.

1.) 23 Aug 2020 15:07:58
Going two up top is a game changer for us. 2nd half was much better when we went two through the middle👍.

2.) 23 Aug 2020 15:59:07
Coldo we had 2 thru the middle in the 1st half 🤡.

3.) 23 Aug 2020 16:06:17
2 up top = nonsense.

4.) 23 Aug 2020 17:38:06
Coldo's right. We definitely changed it up in the second half.

5.) 23 Aug 2020 18:39:30
Seeker we played 2 up from the start.

6.) 23 Aug 2020 19:12:10
Which game were you watching?

7.) 23 Aug 2020 19:55:54
we didn't set up in a 442.

07 Aug 2020 09:38:14
Hi folks,
I am very happy with how we have conducted our transfer business so far this season and believe we are just a tiny bit off being in a great place. A DM and Right sided winger/ attacker would be nice.

I believe we will see Morelos exit in the next couple of days.

However my concern lies in 2 other areas. Tav and Goldson. Unlike many I do not see them as bad players (Tav isn't captain material IMO) . However these 2 play almost every game for us even when jaded. During Thursdays game I saw Gerrard talking to Goldson during a cooling period and Goldson seemed to turn away and not listening, there was almost a disrespect in it from what I could see. I'm not making a big deal of this or claiming unrest but when we clearly lack leaders Tav (captain) and your towering CB should be your go to people. They should be totally committed, totally determined and driving others on.

I'm afraid I just don't see it.
Tav I rate highly but he is not at his best and has little competition.
We still have no experienced winners in our squad. Someone who has run the course over a season in recent years (this includes our manager) .

For what it's worth I would love to see us bring in Gyamfi formally of Leicester. This would increase competition for RB and if Tav leaves we have 2 great young options to see us into the seasons ahead.

1.) 07 Aug 2020 10:18:49
I think Jayden Bogle would be a better option because I firmly believe he would be able to a lot straight into a starting berth.

2.) 07 Aug 2020 10:25:17
I agree about our captain. Must be Ryan Jack surely!

3.) 07 Aug 2020 11:02:34
Thing I noticed about Tav last night was if the player got past him or he was caught upfield he was ambling back. Thete was no bursting a gut to get back in position.

4.) 07 Aug 2020 13:00:08
Bogle would be a great addition but I reckon with 2 years on contract at top end of championship he will be north of 10 million.

5.) 07 Aug 2020 13:00:35
Did anyone else notice Goldson?

6.) 07 Aug 2020 13:17:05
Doubt we'd get Jayden Bogle cheap Jenkins.

7.) 07 Aug 2020 13:19:38
Jack as captain is not for me.

Decent player on his day but don't think he has been great in the first 2 competitive games this season. Drifted in and out of sheep game and done nothing last night, although most of the team didnt, but that's not an excuse really. Goldson would be my choice. More vocal than most of the players we have.

I also think if we bring in a strong tackling DM it will be jack that will be sacrificed in that area.

8.) 07 Aug 2020 23:38:45
Absolute piffle OT, Jack has been immense for us and is a stick on future captain.

27 Jul 2020 14:06:56
I know there is no value in paper talk but I'd like to see the Josh Maja rumours come to fruition.

1.) 27 Jul 2020 14:51:53
Not prolific enough for me!

21 Jul 2020 07:00:10
Hi gents,
I know it wouldn’t be the best timing or the main priority for our budget at present however .
I think we should be trying to nick in front of the unwashed and get Turnbull from Motherwell. I think he is the ideal replacement for Davis.
He will be cheaper than he was a year ago. We could loan him back to Motherwell for This season as Davis winds down and he gets back to his best. Maybe loan Doc or McCrorie too. Let them develop together.

1.) 21 Jul 2020 09:49:16
Sorry blue genius a no from me, must admit I've not seen much of him but there's too many risks there.

He's not exactly going cheap so could be a costly gamble, he's just back from a major injury so again would be risk involved seeing how he's come back and if he can't find form, and lastly, let them have him I really don't think he's a step up to what we have.
For me mate he can't and will never lace Davis boots even though I do agree we would love someone in his mould for when he finishes up.
For all the doubters out there Davis was nowhere his best but as sgl coop said he just came back from injury, a think Davis could be instrumental in us winning the league this year if he finds his form again and stays injury free.

2.) 21 Jul 2020 10:46:43
Agree Gazzaloyal, but some on here believe davis is finished instead of understanding the real reason he dipped in form, after our winter break! Up until the winter break steven davis was immense for us and pulling the strings ie. the 'wee puppet master"! 👌 He'll be very important for us this season!

3.) 21 Jul 2020 10:56:00
Just to be clear guys. I do not think Davis is finished. I just feel if we don't get Turnbull in now we may miss altogether and I think he will turn out to be a player, that is all.

4.) 21 Jul 2020 11:01:50
Never good enough.

5.) 21 Jul 2020 11:05:07
Understood u bluegenius, all about opinions mate personally am not a big fan and it wouldn't bother me 8f the unwashed get him.

6.) 21 Jul 2020 11:09:32
Bluegenius I said this a few weeks ago. i think its a great shout. Seen the boy a few times and is head and shoulder Motherwell's best player.

BLUEWOULDDO. How's he never good enough?

7.) 21 Jul 2020 11:26:52
Already have a player who is head and shoulders above him. Priority should be a striker.

8.) 21 Jul 2020 11:48:12

9.) 21 Jul 2020 12:35:00
If turnbell was Nigerian and we were planning to pay 4 million for him from some rubbish 2nd division french team people on here would be like likes get him signed, he looks amazing on YouTube, because he's Scottish he ain't worth though, always been the same.

10.) 21 Jul 2020 13:23:18
As1974,a wee question for you pal.
Who do you drop in our midfield to give turnbull a game? He wouldn't get a game for us mate, as we have better players currently at rangers than him. I'm with GazzaLoyal here in the sense let the ANTHILL MOB have him if they wish. Put it this way if they signed turnbull, it wouldn't perturb me in the slightest!

11.) 21 Jul 2020 14:13:45
SGL it’s not a case of dropping someone, it’s about having a squad. Having someone who comes on and can influence game.
Before his injury a better. Player than docherty.

12.) 21 Jul 2020 23:25:28
@SGL. Who did I say to drop PAL? your awfully defence man! How wouldn't he get a game for us? Explain that one. So celtic were ready to sign him? He wouldn't get a game for them either? Your too quick to judge. He's young, proved in our league he can cut and makes and creates goals. So you'd buy some dud in thier 30's and pay them double in wages?

11 Jul 2020 16:11:39
Norwich get relegated. People seeing Kenny McLean at a northbound services in 3, 2, 1.Go!

1.) 11 Jul 2020 17:03:05
Could be visiting family? I’d welcome him at rangers though but don’t know if there’s any interest in him.

2.) 11 Jul 2020 17:50:00
Bate. I was kidding. I just know the rumour mill Wii spark off now.

Guys I disagree with a lot Coldo says but I wouldn't say he is more self-righteous than a lot of us.
Super Coop left after being consistently snipped at.
We have ALL said stuff in here which is said in the heat of moment.

Let it go.

We are all brothers and should forgive as easily. We have enough enemies out there.

Always complications? Really?
McLaughlin, Balogun, Bassey, Roofe, Itten.
All of these guys came in pretty much before anyone
Knew there Was interest.
If anything we have been slick with recent transactions. Do you think that it could be other clubs who are dragging things out when it’s not going their way?
Preston don’t want Johnson to go but only has 1 year left so they want him to stay or get as much cash as possible. If you make other clubs aware that he might leave then they may bid too. Press release = bidding war = more cash.

The guy asked a civil question who try and make out he doesn't read. Jeez. You are correct this record is regarding best start to season as far as clean sheets go.
7 game clean sheet record SO FAR at the start of season puts us in a good place. How many games must it be before we are allowed to talk about it KJA?
