Quite new to the site lads and a first post for me which is not rumour related but a question to fellow bears.
Since the new board has taken over and all the signs indicate we are moving forward nicely financially, has anyone heard of any possible improvements that are scheduled for Ibrox? There must be potential to increase our capacity and I know this is not number one priority currently but do you think this is something on the boards agenda? How could we modify the stadium in its current form to increase capacity?
Cheers.

We could drop the pitch, move the jumbo screens or full in the corners but i'd rather focus on the football for the next couple seasons.

David Murray stated some years ago that the construction of the stadium was carried out in order to facilitate the possibility of a further tier on top.

Warbs15, agreed regarding Bartons performance but I must of missed. or not heard about the sighting of Ulloa (spelling), which is strange considering my old man uses the marble staircase to access his seat and he would of said something had he seen the same.
However, I hope you're correct and my da was just pissed and couldn't see.
What is obviously from today is that we need a commanding centre back with pace.

Haha. Good one mate. Cummings seen at MP. By who? You?

TBB, let's consider how much we spent on Lafferty a few years back. Millions is the answer mate, compare that with what we paid for Miller and Waghorn and I know who I'd rather have. In my opinion he never justified his price tag with his poor goal return coupled with his stupid antics. Forgetting his goal return for a minute, and considering his other so called playing strengths, do you think that he was a good buy for the amount paid? I know he's older now and hopefully wiser but he's not for me mate. But like I said above, that's only my opinion.

I agree mate. He is shockingly bad and not the answer. I really don't understand why people would want him back at Ibrox as his goalscoring records and the amount of clubs he's played for speaks for itself. But each to their own I suppose. Whoever is brought in, I will trust Warbs judgement as he's the expert after all.

Relax Warbs15, we are only having a bit banter. No need to justify what you said mate. In regards to the strikers we are being linked with and who the fans are mentioning on here not many of them have really caught my fancy. I seriously hope we do not sign Lafferty. I'm sure we agree on that W15.

The poster clearly states the need for a striker.

Great post mate. Fully agree. We're going for 55. Battle fever is on.

Warbs15, I too would like Mariappa mate as I feel he'd complete the jigsaw. He's strong, commanding and has resonable pace. He'd slot into the team perfectly. If we don't get him then I honestly don't know who the gaffer will go for? Maybe a loan signing. One thing is clear though, if we want to challenge this year we need to strengthen that position.

To a certain extent I agree but what gives us the right to field teams in lower leagues? We cannot just create 2 spaces in lower leagues for Rangers and Celtic. How about a complete overhaul of Scottish football, top to bottom where all the under 21 games actually mean something. This is something we (Scotland) are failing at.

I enjoy your posts Warbs15, and like you say you've been bang on sometimes and off the mark others but at least you admit that mate. It is a rumours page after all.
