Seen we are apparently in for 500k plus a years loan for MOH. that would be good business I think. let's him put himself in the shop window with more games
1.) 23 May 2017 08:29:56
I take it you are on about Louis moult?
2.) 23 May 2017 08:39:43
Aye as long as they pay his full wages
3.) 23 May 2017 08:58:57
They can keep moult.
4.) 23 May 2017 09:35:14
Just let them have him and tell them to keep mault I don't want mault
5.) 23 May 2017 10:01:35
Was sure I wrote Moult and posted to the banter page. But it was at half four in the morning and just oot ma bed tho lol :-)
6.) 23 May 2017 10:07:03
We need a top class striker. moult isn't the answer. dave king needs 2 get his purse oot and spend a few million
7.) 23 May 2017 11:05:10
tbh no one much was excited about Naismith coming from Killie back in the day, but when he finally got fit he was easily our best player. I'm open to giving most players a chance. Except Rob Kiernan.
8.) 23 May 2017 15:33:23
What I'm hearing is it's Naisey to rangers is close to being a done deal, Whitts is going to hibs and broaders to killie and as much as Weiss would like to come back we won't pay over 1M for him killing that deal. Patterson also won't sign he says going down south
9.) 24 May 2017 10:02:03
Moult or Boyce is definitely who we should be targeting. Proven in our league. No risk as they will score goals and that's all we need them to do.
10.) 24 May 2017 10:28:27
Moult could be class for us, for £500k they can keep MOH! Boyd is just one example of a guy scoring goals in SPL came to us and scored more goals. That's what we need. Guaranteed goals and somebody in the same league already banging them in for an inferior team is as close to that as you get.
11.) 24 May 2017 15:18:49
moult in an awful Motherwell team scored 18 how many has garner scored? how many has waggy scored?
why wouldn't u want moult rangers and celtic have been for years taking the best of the rest and either ruining their careers or help their careers but with the like of the wee thumb at celtic i think he could be as good for us as he is for them and score 30 plus as motherwell where an awfull team this year
05 Dec 2015 19:04:42
I seen that Arsenal, Hull and more are interested in Windass too with Arsenal Favs. Was on metro online.

I'd take Oli McBurnie on a free to bolster attacking options. Bit of a target man, and I'm sure the amount of balls we get into the box he'd certainly score goals.
I think most would like Stewart as he was raised in Scottish academy system, but I think he'll command a decent fee, probably more than we'd pay until this time next year if his club take the option of the year extension.
1.) 09 Jan 2023 09:51:38
Campo has Stewart done more than three years before age of 21.
2.) 09 Jan 2023 10:15:42
Very very doubtful John he won't be coming anyway, but i would love it as you no.
3.) 09 Jan 2023 10:44:09
I would rather sign olly murs than mcburnie he done more in 2 soccer aids than mcburnie done in his career.
4.) 09 Jan 2023 11:19:54
Mcburnie is scoring some goals in the championship a far better league than ours intr.
5.) 09 Jan 2023 11:24:37
I would rather sign Oliver hardy.
6.) 09 Jan 2023 12:03:37
I would rather sign Oliver Cromwell.
7.) 09 Jan 2023 12:08:16
Not sure John I assume not by your response?
I think he'd do a job thb, he's a big mobile lad, who could link play and be a threat in the air and outside the box.
And he's free, he'd have to prove himself to become a starter.
Dunno if he would maybe be looking for too much money, especially if he was not being signed to be the main striker.
8.) 09 Jan 2023 12:24:20
Camoo, the issue is do his years in junior football count, I don’t think so and can’t find a definite answer one way or the other.
Also he is definitely not a free, his club have an option to extend till June 24, they have offered a pay rise which they need to do, even if he rejects it.
So we won’t be meeting any 10 million valuation imo.
9.) 09 Jan 2023 12:35:32
I’d rather sign Oliver Twist.
10.) 09 Jan 2023 15:59:09
Thanks John my initial part of the post was about Oli McBurnie on a free.
I've not heard of an option on him which is why I thought he may be an option to add to the forward line.
This is according to wiki regards Stewart's Senior Career (taking the smaller clubs out) it looks like:
St Mirron 2017 - Ross County 2021:
2013–2015
Ardeer Thistle
2015–2016
Kilwinning Rangers
2016–2017
Albion Rovers
2017–2018
St Mirren
2017–2018
→ Alloa Athletic (loan)
2018–2021
Ross County
2021–
Sunderland
I definitely don't think we'd pay the asking price for Stewart but if he's still in this position next year then maybe, if he's not wanted in EPL.
I'm sure his club will be offering him extra years with the extension to make the pay rise worth it to them, which will probably be why the options not been completed yet.
My guess anyway.
11.) 09 Jan 2023 16:02:29
I'd rather sign Jamie Oliver. He'd be a starter in Beales team. Then he would be the main man. Then we could sell him to some dessert team for £20 million.
12.) 09 Jan 2023 16:30:34
?? not many McBurnie fans here I see.
23 Nov 2022 17:19:42
Just seen an article that Hummel are now suing us for 9.5m.
It's sickening how much we have wasted on paying folk off.
If true that's a lot of money not being invested in the squad, it's embarrassing.
People need to get held to account for making bad deals.
02 Nov 2021 11:33:05
Anyone like to see us start with Sakala, Morelos and Roofe.
I mean against teams who will not even try to give us a game sitting in their own half?
1.) 02 Nov 2021 13:05:10
Now that Fashion has warmed up, its a no brainer that Fash replaces Kent.
#56.
2.) 02 Nov 2021 14:11:05
Gdog, do you want Coldo to have a bad turn? You're right btw.
3.) 02 Nov 2021 15:25:05
Coldo, look away now 🤣🤣.
4.) 02 Nov 2021 16:44:15
LOL!
To be fair I’m not suggesting long term only whilst still injured. If he keeps that form then Kent needs to fight for his place back. That would certainly do him no harm!
#56.
5.) 02 Nov 2021 16:47:00
Kent, Morelos, Sakala.
6.) 02 Nov 2021 17:19:58
Fashion is the best £6.5 million we've ever spent😆😆😆😆
Fashion is the best CH at the club😆😆😆😆😆
Fashion is the best midfielder at the club and is better than Jack😆😆😆😆.
7.) 02 Nov 2021 17:42:07
Absolutely no chance that sakala replaces kent GDog10.
8.) 02 Nov 2021 18:10:39
SGL May do when kent leaves.
9.) 02 Nov 2021 19:33:47
I think Kent on form is never out the team, but if it's a stubborn team we will have lots of the ball against I wonder how their defences would deal with 3 strikers.
WBs put a lot of balls into the box, just a thought.
06 Nov 2020 10:36:31
I'm not criticising the team or manager, we should have won that but a points more than I expected last night lol.
One thing that I thought I would have seen was subs, even just to get fresh legs on and run the clock down.
I mean 5 subs and we used one.
Especially after their second goal.
Just a thought.
1.) 06 Nov 2020 11:12:04
I agree subs would have helped towards the end as itten and roofe have shown they can hold play up etc but one player made a couple of errors and others missed fairly easy chances, arfield should have kept possession and our full backs should not be bombing forward in last minute but.
it happened and no point beating ourselves up over it, it was definitely a missed opportunity as return game will be hard even at home. 7 out of 9 is a great start but priority has to be Sunday. keep that pressure on them and they’ll hopefully continue to crumble.
2.) 06 Nov 2020 11:20:52
Sometimes subs can cause the team to lose shape for a minute or 2 maybe he didn’t want to risk that? I didn’t see the game or the goal so I’m not really qualified to comment but just a thought.
3.) 06 Nov 2020 11:25:37
Yup,
100% agree Camoo our defence was abysmal last 15 mins however most of us were hoping to get and accept a draw.
We got the draw but hindsight is a great thing (if only this only that) we would have won mate.
4.) 06 Nov 2020 13:07:39
I thought we lost our shape with Arfield coming on, he played mostly at CF instead of in the engine room breaking up attacks. We shoulda played for time, taking ball to corners, but instead we kept attackin g and got sucker punched.
5.) 06 Nov 2020 13:16:34
IGWT you are right that CAN happen but doesn’t always happen either.
We should have closed up shop like he done on Sunday to get the win instead of trying for a 4th.
6.) 06 Nov 2020 13:17:02
Stevie will learn from that performance, - great result against a very strong European team who offensively were as good as I've seen.
7.) 06 Nov 2020 13:17:52
It's difficult as were playing so well. Does he risk disrupting the flow with too many changes? Personally I think we missed a trick and should have won comfortably. Some of our possession football was superb with the midfielders playing as well as I"ve seen them. Unfortunately we shipped 2 points due to Helander's errors and Arfield's lack of game management. Don't get me wrong, I think both have been sensational for us in general this season and players are human, and will make mistakes from time to time. We move on to Hamilton and another 3 points and keep the pressure on that mob who look as though they are likely to fold like a cheap deckchair at any minute. We need to keep grinding out the results, putting as much daylight between us as we can.
8.) 06 Nov 2020 13:59:43
100% correct Seeker. ðŸ‘.
9.) 06 Nov 2020 14:11:49
It was 3 stupid mistakes Seeker that cost us mate. As you said, I don't think I've seen our midfield play better than what they did last night, and there were times during the game that we looked like we could score at anytime - some of the play through our midfield and wing backs was scintillating at times.
Do you know, I'm a very happy man that we are back in a position where we feel a draw against a European heavyweight is a poor result.
10.) 08 Nov 2020 00:03:48
benfica changed the way they attacked and arfield made two mistakes. only quality can behave like that. rangers will learn from that.
28 Jul 2020 11:43:01
I'm not being funny but Morelos is contracted to Rangers and cannot discuss terms until he has been given permission by the club.
Surely a club won't give permission until the fee is agreed?
Otherwise that would just pressure them to sell or keep a player with his heart elsewhere?
Does he maybe have a cause in his contract that allows him to speak with clubs in bigger leagues than ours?
Has he been "tapped up"?
Or is everything in place ready to go when we announce a new forward so we don't get the price inflated on us because we have no other fit first team center forwards?
1.) 28 Jul 2020 12:01:52
Morelos will not have been talking directly to them unless Rangers have given him permission to do so or this would be a case of “ tappingâ€.
His agent will have been talking to them and agreeing with them alfredos personal terms.
This happens all the time, shady, but not against any rules.
2.) 28 Jul 2020 12:02:04
Wait and see.
3.) 28 Jul 2020 12:32:16
Still has a lot to prove if he stays, think the best way forward would be to let him go.
4.) 28 Jul 2020 12:39:00
Keep hearing people saying that other replacement options lack the same quality as the 'superstar' . He hasn't won us anything, need to stop writing off other players.
5.) 28 Jul 2020 13:15:16
i think sounding out agents is at play here. morelos's stage is complete here and too many won't change. look at andy robertson's handling of motherwell game. time to move on.
6.) 28 Jul 2020 13:16:37
BluewouldDo 77 goals in 137 games! Directly involved in 106 goals in 137! Joint top Europa League scorer!
7.) 28 Jul 2020 13:47:04
How many goals when it really mattered in the league? We need desperately need that, he can't handle it due to his attitude. Papering the cracks slightly.
8.) 28 Jul 2020 13:48:52
Those stats will be decent for a sale, looking at the bigger picture shows we can't rely on him when it really matters.
9.) 28 Jul 2020 13:56:13
The games in the league don't matter? The games in the europa league don't matter?
10.) 28 Jul 2020 13:57:39
BluewouldDo who would you bring in with them stats or better?
11.) 28 Jul 2020 14:08:04
Oh I'm not against him leaving.
I was just interested in everything that's been going on lol.
I do see risks with both sides, but I think he wants to go and if we get the money we want he will be gone.
There are replacements out there maybe not even in the same mould as El Buff but good forwards.
It's not like we will no create enough chances for our forwards.
I do feel we have relied on him far too much.
12.) 28 Jul 2020 14:10:51
BlueWouldDo, I agree 100%, too many on here can't see past Alfie, you're right though he hasn't shown enough sense during certain league games up here, Aberdeen, Celtic e. g., and as such his absence thereafter due to his actions have cost us a lot of points last year. As I said in a post yesterday Morelos is not Glasgow Rangers, we need everyone pulling in the same direction, and, much as I like the man himself, he appears to be only interested in what he can get for himself now.
13.) 28 Jul 2020 16:43:49
All media hype, they are doing what they always do. the season about to start and they are all trying to unsettle Rangers. El Buff not agreed any terms, no offer rejected by Rangers for him, all speculation with them saying things like “ a source in France “ etc etc.
Have you not noticed nothing about the manky mob being reported. no out cry over Griffiths, nothing about them not signing anyone. all out to stir up things at Rangers. ignore the noise. only believe it when our club announce it.
15 Aug 2024 08:16:37
To be fair Kelly is a decent keeper and would do a job with a reliable understudy. To be fair if our squad is good enough the keeper shouldn't have much to do. in theory anyway lol.
06 Aug 2024 13:26:37
It's our luck that he'll have a miraculous recovery and sign for another spfl team playing 30+ games.
Wouldn't mind him coming back if he quit inteenational football and was on a really low wage plus an appearance bonus.
When he's fit he leaves everything on the park.
30 Jul 2024 11:47:23
I respect Bennett for coming out and addressing things. And agree with putting a stop to financial stupidity.
Our squad was too big, with too much wasted on salaries.
We are trying to tidy things up so we're not wasting fortunes and be in a position to build a squad for now and the years to come.
24 May 2024 08:26:19
Maybe not meeting the asking price.
24 May 2024 08:25:18
Agree Paul, I like Ridvan but we need players on the pitch most games.
05 Aug 2024 23:23:55
I thought we have an obligation tp buy.
He looked great in his first few games and has been injured so od say too early to write off.
05 Aug 2024 10:32:06
??????.
15 Jul 2024 08:54:03
It is really frustrating but I totally agree, we can't afford to have millions in wages for players sitting on the bench. Its a horrible business model and takes opportunity away from the less experienced lads.
Not saying we don't need a strong bench, but it should be on our terms.
09 May 2024 07:33:05
Wouldn't even come close to Stevo in his prime.
06 May 2024 11:46:00
To me it makes sense. People say play Sterling ahead of him so Tav has cover going forward.
Why no just play Sterling at RB and give Tav more freedom to not have to track back so much?
Surely it's just playing to both players strengths in each position?
