Interesting ploy by PC letting Tav slip into midfield, almost like a deep lying playmaker, while Sterling covered him at RB.
Similar to what Arteta does with Zinchenko.
Could be a good ploy in certain games going forward?

Sterling can defend. Tav can’t so it makes a lot of sense.

After watching the last 2 games I noticed Tav floating around the rcm pocket alot, he never strayed over to the left tactically but yeah he was in the middle. It wasn't as smooth last week but woth Sterling it seemed more natural.
I'd say it's a bit more like Trent AA at Liverpool, floating in midfield. Though they used a cb to cover we are using a sitting rcm to cover.

It's clever, plays to our strengths and covers a weakness. The test will be against them, a higher quality of opposition but it is pleasing to see areas of the pitch and how the manager wants us playing.

Also seen some incredible 1 touch moving the ball around the park at speed. Can see this getting better with time and players too.

Just catching up on the previous 2 days rumours and stories.
I like the sound of Lewis Travis coming in. Mainly because he plays for my favourite team down south haha.
He is a solid player who can play in a CDM role and can also slot in at right back too.
Good range of passing, has good vision and doesn't pull out of his tackles from what I've seen.
No brainer if the price is right.
