Think a few people need to calm down a bit.

For context we drew at least one game in all four qualifiers last year and nobody was complaining when we reached the group stages. The important thing is getting through and not picking up any injuries.

Dire game to sit through tonight, but not sure anyone was predicting them to park the bus the way they did at home when already 2-0 down - pointless and ruined the game. It's a long season especially when playing Thursday Sunday every week.

They may have been a bit robust in the0 challenge and parked the bus, but I can remember 3 good chances for them!
Us, did we have any?

2.) 02 Aug 2019 07:24:53
Arfield hit the post, katic had a golden chance as did Goldson and Morelos came within a whisker of two tap ins in the second half.

3.) 02 Aug 2019 12:58:31
Bar72, they weren't robust in the challenge at all, they blatantly fouled the whole game to stop Rangers coming at them - not a challenge if no attempt for the ball. No idea what game you watched but we had umpteen chances, seeker has mentioned a few above.

Heard Tav talking today to press. All positive and talking only about what we need to do - consistency and discipline. The way it should be and none of the 'we are better' before a ball even kicked in the league. Interesting comment about new hefty fines in place for Ill discipline - it just shows how much Gerrard gets it!

End of the day, to win the league you need to be consistent against the rest - the games against the dark side will then take care of themselves, win your home games against them and worst case scenario is that the other results cancel them out.

As a captain these are things he should have been saying
Never will be a rangers captain.

2.) 30 Jul 2019 10:00:05
How not macbow?

3.) 30 Jul 2019 11:46:39
Thank god you're not steven gerrard then macbow, with statements like that! Some tav bashers will only realise how good a captain and player he is, when he's gone. Get behind the manager, captain and team for goodness sake!

4.) 30 Jul 2019 17:46:00
GF7 I agree completely, been saying that to my son for the last couple of years, cut out the inconsistency against everyone else and the old firm games take care of themselves, that has to be the target. Gerrard said recently that he believed that some players thought they only had to turn up to beat the lesser teams last season, its the mental attitude that he obviously wants changing, and he's right!

Watching some of the training videos on rangers TV and you can really tell the emphasis on intensity and finding space to break teams down.

I've noticed though that Docs training gear is different to everyone else's, everyone else has their initials in white on their gear yet Docs is in Black with red trim - just seems bizarre, anyone know why that is?

Think his mum packed the wrong outfit - nothing sinister.

2.) 20 Jul 2019 16:10:42
Him and Graham Dorrans have the same intitals it’s just so they know who’s kit is who’s.

3.) 21 Jul 2019 18:41:29
Ahh makes sense. I knew it was nothing sinister just with the wrong facing chevrons recently etc. It caught my eye.

The last few seasons I've felt a lot of our players have looked a bit out of shape and our midfield getting bullied constantly. Was heavily improved last season, but getting a good look at most of the squad today the physique of players has transformed - clearly the standards set by Gerrard are high and it suits our pressing game. Docherty is looking like an absolute tank and aribo you can tell is string on the ball. Kamara, Davis and Jack could play keep ball all day long, all have so much composure on the ball.

The work rate and running off the ball today was very impressive, and some of the goals were absolute filth as a result. Loving the rotation of the attackers as well, candeias and Stewart were everywhere.

Anyone know what Dorrans is on and when his contract is up? Curious what a pay off would cost us.

It he went out on loan for few months to the likes of Hearts or even Dolly, he would strengthen them but wouldn't be able to play against us. (although we would likely have to pick up majority of his wage still)

Feel bad for the guy, want him to do well for us but it isn't going to happen.

Hes good player no doubt but it's just not worked out due to his injury problems and he's been replaced now and has to move on. Can see us having to loan him out and pay some of his wages rather than him moving on to a new club.

2.) 23 Jun 2019 17:31:53
Sure dorrans on 15-20k a Week. 16k for some reason stickin in my mind.

3.) 23 Jun 2019 18:00:30
16k seems to ring a bell with me as well.

4.) 23 Jun 2019 19:16:40
Im sick of rangers paying players off! We could get at least 500k for him. Remember when ayers are paid off its our hard earned money that's used!

5.) 23 Jun 2019 20:16:42
Dorrans is sadly paying the price for wanting to do well for his boyhood club, played through the pain barrier when we were struggling but never made a big song and dance about it. Hence he was knackered when Gerrard came in. If he had taken a leaf out of Barasic and Grezda’s book and called off injured every time he had a scraped knee he might have been fit for us last season. I for one will be very sad to see him go, as he has quality and clearly cares about the club.

6.) 23 Jun 2019 21:41:54
I think Dorrans is still capable of playing at a highish level. can't see him playing in Scotland, maybe the English championship.

7.) 23 Jun 2019 21:48:26
If it is as much as that and there are no willing buyers for him then I would definitely be in favour of a loan within our top flight. Ripping up his contract by mutual agreement or loaning to an English league 1 side/ championship side has no benefit to us.

He would be a stand out for most teams in our league.

8.) 23 Jun 2019 21:49:49
Not sure anyone wants players paid off Jason Brown; to get 500k for him though someone has to be willing to pay it and the player is under no obligation to go even if someone does pay it.

That's why players get paid off, they have contracts that entitles them to that money. Not saying Dorrans is happy to sit and take a wage but on the other hand why should he take a wage cut to go elsewhere when he can get paid off then go elsewhere and get it paid anyway- no brainer for the players, especially when wrong side of 30.

9.) 23 Jun 2019 21:50:15
swagman, he must have been injured the entire time he has been here then as he has been absolutely terrible, can’t remember a worse midfielder at Ibrox!

You’re right though if he was playing through an injury he would have been better off sitting it out as he was worse than a man down in most games!

10.) 24 Jun 2019 01:31:15
Zikos, I think your getting Dorrans confused with Ian Black or Emerson. He was one of our better players when he did play, in a team that was rank rotten. He was one of the only players that could make something happen with little space. For example his goal against Partick, and splitting Villareals defence open.

11.) 24 Jun 2019 11:06:28
We can only hope that Stevie G is bringing in younger, better players with a sell on value. There is no way we are bringing Aribo up here, 20k a week to sit on the bench. I suspect that getting Dorran's off the books will mean we are only 4k a week extra out of pocket for a young player that could have a substantial sell on value.

12.) 24 Jun 2019 19:05:47
Blue89, I didn’t forget about the goal he scored against the mighty Partick Thistle! And for the record he could lace Emerson’s boots, couldn’t even lace namouchi’s boots!

Never seen a Rangers player give the ball away as much as Dorrans and then make no effort to win it back!

I genuinely thought he would have been a cracking player for us, turns out I was wrong.

Can't see there being anything in this other than he maybe didn't come back from holiday in good enough condition - Gary mac when asked by rangers TV said most came back in good shape, I thought it surprising he didn't say all.

The first thing they did when going back to training was a bleep test, so I have a suspicion that the likes of grezda, lafferty and Dorrans fell short of what is expected- although that's just presumption on my part.

If we had the type of cash it would take to get him on a perm then I would rather spend it on a striker and centre half, and cash in on Morelos.

Can't see Kamara playing again for Dundee this season even if he doesn't come this month.

Also cannot see him having regular starts whenever he does arrive. For me its Arfield, Davis, Mccrorie/ Jack and Kent/ Candieas with Alf and Defoe up top the way forward.

I like Greg Stewart but would be very surprised if this happened. Actually a bit dissapointed Birmingham recalled him - a strong Kilmarnock are capable of hurting them and the sheep! That lot have 8 home games before the split so need teams like Kilmarnock capable of going there and taking points.

He has been very good the last two games, Aribo though is an even bigger steal than Kamara.

Not sure he did anything to merit being called a weak link. He played guy on for their goal but Goldson/ katic were about 10 yards off him and flat footed. The two games he has been back in the team we have absolutely hammered the opposition - and he has had a significantly shorter pre season that most of the squad due to double hernia.

It's not pitch tampering, it's altering the size for the season within the rules.

Nobody was trying to escape collapsed roof, they ran on park which is becoming all too familiar away from home to celebrate the goal - it's embarrassing.

Roof only collapsed due to idiots jumping in it.

Agreed. Strict liability is going to cost us big time if don't get on top of this soon.

The everyone anyone campaign by the board shows they know its coming and are trying to get in the front foot.
