If we buy no one in this window after the sale of Patterson will be inexcusable if we don't win the league.
I know we have Helander and Jack to come back. but we can't rely on these two to be fit.
Even loan deals till the end of the season to get us over the line should be a must if we don't buy!

If its not a player that is an improvement on what we already have in the team then i don't see the point and the problem there is that these types of players are not always available in January or you end up paying over the odds (which we can't really afford just now) . Look at the likes of Bacuna, Barker etc - guys that were not top targets so we bought them late in the windows as squad players. None of them ever really end up being a success.
If we can get a right winger that walks into the starting 11 for a good price then by all means, make it happen. Otherwise, retain what we have currently and push on to the summer.

Amoo has been tipped to be the next big thing for a few years. He’s been on the radar of many since he starred for Nigeria u/ 17s a few years back and got hit with the title of “little Messiâ€. I’m sure he has the most successful dribbling stats in the Swedish league with Hammarby last year. I’ve mentioned him a few times on here and I know Rangers have had him watched . check this kid out on utube!

Ed's is there any truth in the rumour we are interested in Dykes? I know someone he was close to from his time at queen of the south (I live next door to Palmerston) who has told me he would jump at the chance of European football. Thanks.

Storm, 8 goal involvements in the championship ( 6 goals ) in 19 appearances 21/ 22 purely as a target man against some top teams and top defenders. Surely a bit far fetched, with the squad we have and the quality we have with tav and barisic, to say we are “fekd†targeting dykes. You don’t score 4 goals consecutively for Scotland by accident.

I've always wanted a big centre forward at rangers as you can tell by my name but no way is dykes good enough. I'd give itten another chance for now as we have enough forwards my only fear is the board are not backing gio the same as they backed Gerrard.

People need to remember when we got itten he just recovered from a serious knee injury and can sometimes take aplayed to find Thier spark again. But Alfredo looked terrible under Gerrard at the end who knows maybe maakay and gio will get more out of him. Give guy a chance.

Dykes is a good centre forward who I wanted over Itten. In SG's 'wisdom' he elected for Itten, in a move which made the sort of sense most of SG's signings did. I think Itten deserves a crack, a real proper shot, but I do rate Dykes as a very straight forward and solid striker. 6 goals 2 assists in Championship in 19 appearances is decent for a midrange team, pity QPR are a top 4 team. Would I take him? I think that moment has passed now.

I'll tell you who would be a good striker for us.
Danilo Pereira da Silva is a Brazilian striker who plays for Ajax and will have his contract with them ended in the summer. He will be 23 in the summer. He plays in the Eredivisie. He scored 17 goals in 34 appearances for Twente last season and has scored 4 goals in 10 appearances for Ajax this season.
He wasn't rumoured for a move here, but the Daily Record said he could be a possible striker for us when Gio came.
Given that he plays in the Netherlands, I think he would be familiar with Gio's style of play. It seems like a no brainer for us to sign him if he doesn't renew his contract or sign for another club in the summer.

Dykes most certainly isn't the answer but neither is Itten. He simply isn't suited to Scottish Football. He is outmuscled by Scottish defenders, he struggles in the air in the SPFL and he lacks aggression! being honest, the only reason that I can see as to why he has had his loan cancelled was because he wasn't getting game time and there was no way that they were going to spend £3m signing him in the summer.

Dykes may be better than itten, However we should be looking for strikers that are better than Morelos. Upgrade on your best players not your squad players. That doesn't necessarily mean spending big either we got Morelos for a 1million snippet.

I cannot understand why we didn't start Balogun ahead of Bassey. Said all along if we didn't push the boat out to sign souttar Balogun has to replace Bassey. His pace and athleticism and defending is MILES ahead of basseys just now. In hindsight if we had started with Balogun and Jack and put Bassey left back we could have rid the storm better. Jack and Kamara infront of them Arfield in front 4. Lessons learned it's a tough one to take but we must learn and improve what else is there to do. Let's hope Ramsey miraculously becomes the player he was at Arsenal 🤣.
