Working in Edinburgh at the minute talking to a hearts fan he's came out and said shankland 2.5 and 3 players from what av read off this I think he's maybe mistaken with it being maybe 2.5 million and either 1 of 3 players be very surprised with 3 players shot him down instantly.

Livibear, who’s better at a better price? Folk keep saying this but they’ll never say players who are better.
It’s a no brainer. If we sign Shankland we’ll win the league because he’ll score 12-15 goals second half of the season easily with the amount of chances he’ll get. And the whole sell on value argument doesn’t matter. If we win the league the champions league money is ridiculous next season so sell on won’t matter.

Blue I agree. If we get Shankland for around £2mill and there isn’t a need for a sell on value because if we go on to win the league sell on won’t matter. Look at players we’ve gave contracts to recently (albeit previous regime) do they have a sell on value? I would definitely try get Butland on a better deal and I think I may get pelters from some but Lunny needs nailed down as I think he’s more vocal on field and off field than our captain and vice captain. The guy puts his heart into every game and even though he’s not the flashy player people want him to be he puts the yards in and always drives the team.

Dessers a goal every 145 mins and is getting better each game shankland ever 190 mins dessers is hitting form and i'm not sure shankland would start over him currently.

RFC Dessers isn’t getting better. He has moments in games where he does ok but his all round play is terrible. The amount of balls into his feet yesterday that he failed to control was ridiculous. He’s nowhere near the standard needed. Also need to remember Shankland is playing in a team who create nowhere near as many chances.

I agree Davidb, he’s getting us goals and doing a job at a time when we desperately need him to step up but overall he’s just so poor. Thought he was non existent in the cup final. His reading of the game in general is one of the worst i’ve seen in a striker, for the age of him he seems to have learnt very little in terms of positional sense or striker instincts. He’s not a small guy yet seems to get outmuscled a lot. He’s poor in the air, can’t hold the ball up, awful first touch, constantly fouling defenders and how many times has he been caught offside? He needs about 4-5 chances to get a goal too. We need better.

DavidB, some of the balls he failed to control were over hit or mistimed. He controlled the ones that came to him in an achievable way. I thought he had a good game yesterday, and some of the passes from Dowell were superb.
