Pedro talked ryan jack right up. Basically talking like he is his player already. Definitely interest there in alves as well. That rangers fc page saying jack has signed is unreliable though. We might sign these guys and we might not but pedro is interested. He said he's interested in 6 or 7 other players in the same calibre as jack too. Louis moult maybe?

JD90

1.) 16 May 2017 13:03:31
The question is, are you happy with the guys Pedro is looking at?

I am personally. A solid CB and decent midfielder; ticks positive boxes so far.

2.) 16 May 2017 13:17:17
look at wee thumb, for them, came from a scottish team that wasn't playing great and turned out to be a steal for them. so i think buying in scotland does work sometimes but i hope he gets another couple of goal scorers in just incase.

i would keep waggy and try play him as a striker rather than on the wing as i think he can score goals in that position but garner is a waste of money and i hope warbs wants him as long as he pays what we payed i wouldn't be too upset with that one.

3.) 16 May 2017 14:24:54
waghorns had a lot of chances n just not took them. for example the other night against hearts in the last 5 minutes of the game. Also can't count how many he has missed to put us ahead when we have been playing celtic

4.) 16 May 2017 14:37:46
James. Waghorn is garbage, I can't spend another season watching him miss 9/ 10 shots.

5.) 16 May 2017 16:40:34
i see but garner what, scores a few goals and he is the future of our strike force?
naw i personally don't want either i'd rather a overhaul there and in defence but waggy has had a bad season but i think out of the two i'd rather keep waggy

6.) 16 May 2017 18:12:54
I really like garner, his aerial presence is immense, i think he could be great if given the right service AND had a strike partner

7.) 22 May 2017 12:27:15
Garner is piss. Hope he is gone.

05 May 2017 16:08:00
Where is the bruno alves rumours coming from i can't find anything? Solid player in his day.

JD90

1.) 05 May 2017 16:24:15
Twitter chatter, hardly surprising when both him and Caixinha are portuguese we will be getting linked with any national that's known over 30 or nearing the end of a contract.

2.) 05 May 2017 16:40:42
Caixinha started his coaching career in and around Sporting Lisbon, so imagine players like Alves and Veloso are being linked because they came through that system. Probably little truth in it, though I would take Alves, played over 33 game for Cagliari in serie A this season, still far superior to what we have, though still 1 year on his contract.

3.) 05 May 2017 20:02:23
Santos Laguna defenders Carlos Izquierdoz and Jose Abella will undoubtedly be on the shopping list.

4.) 06 May 2017 14:03:14
I'd take Alves in a minute

5.) 07 May 2017 09:51:43
I think That Izquierdoz would be quite hard to get we would. Need to get a work permit would we not? And he is valued about 2.38 million so don't know if we could get him

03 May 2017 07:27:43
See norwich are releasing stevie naismith now there is a player who'll improve the squad. Rumour has it he's looking to return closer to home because his kids are starting school. Beggars can't be choosers. Remember kenny miller signed for the venom and now he's our main man. Free transfer and a wage cut, it's the least he owes us. Smashing player.

JD90

1.) 03 May 2017 08:50:04
I can forgive Miller for joining Celtic, we all make mistakes. Naismith and his wee press conference, unforgivable. Even at that why would Naismith want to join a club that is only 5 years old? (according to Naismith anyway)

2.) 03 May 2017 09:21:22
If we can forgive miller for going to the dark side surely we can allow Naismith back to right some wrongs. Would definitely add something to our team. Wages would be a stumbling block though I would imagine

3.) 03 May 2017 09:55:03
Ubless we don't sign that many, we could sort the wages for him, get 5 or 6 pretty good players, not 12.

4.) 03 May 2017 09:45:56
I'd take him in a minute but he is reportedly on £50 k a week so it would be some wage cut

5.) 03 May 2017 09:48:09
100% go for him

6.) 03 May 2017 09:49:19
Naismith whittaker no thank you . only 1 i take back is allan mcgregor

7.) 03 May 2017 09:58:53
if rangers where to sign these players like naismith, lafferty etc and they fired us to the title next year, then sure they would be forgiven for leaving before and press conferences etc.

8.) 03 May 2017 10:10:08
I would welcome Naismith. Improvement on what is already there and has a bit of fire in his belly. Mo Johnstone, kenny miller etc days of non football issues interfere are over

9.) 03 May 2017 10:37:00
According to Boyd, Wages wouldn't be a problem for Naisy and i think there quite close so ther could ne a chance but wether Pedro wants him or not is another story

10.) 03 May 2017 11:27:00
We're not beggars so we can choose, no rats back at Ibrox.

11.) 03 May 2017 11:53:03
Naismith was bought for 9 million just a year and a half a go and we have the opportunity to sign him for nothing, would take him back in a minute, maybe we will actually see some passion from a player in a blue jersey in the next old firm. Would love to see both him and dorrans at us

12.) 03 May 2017 12:07:09
Naismith knows what it takes to beat them.

13.) 03 May 2017 13:43:53
He'll get a pay off from Norwich for remainder of his contract so he'll not demand a lot in terms of wages. He didn't put us into administration. i'd also take whittaker in a heartbeat or Mcgregor too. But i wouldn't touch Laff with a bargepole.

14.) 03 May 2017 15:24:48
Naismith is a class wee player we should take him

15.) 03 May 2017 17:51:40
Naismith will only leave for Rangers and happy to take a pay cut to make it happen

16.) 03 May 2017 17:55:53
Are you sure Naisy is actually being released? I doubt it as he is Scotland international with resale value.
From what I heard it Lafferty and Shittaker amongst others who have been released.
Personally if it's a choice between allowing Naismith back after how he left or to bite nose of the spite my face then I'd take him back all day long, we can't afford to let that standard of player not resign if available, not happy getting hammered of an average celtic team who couldn't even win a group stage match

17.) 03 May 2017 20:39:53
Sorry fellow Bears. There is a line in the sand in as much humble pie we have to eat. Bringing Naismith and the rest of the traitors back crosses that line regardless how good or bad they are. Where is our bpride. Have some of you lost it completely. We are RANGERS we don't want them back.

18.) 03 May 2017 20:41:33
only show, for me kissing the celtic badge when scoring against us is much worse than what naisy said in a press conference 5 years ago.

plus he is a far better player than we have

19.) 03 May 2017 20:42:15
keymar why would you say no to whittiker he got us a good few bob when he left and naisy said some things so what miller scored against us put us out the scottish cup and kissed their badge while doing it now if that isn't worse you guys need a check up from the neck up.

naisy won't be expecting the same money he is on the now as he is an older player now but getting whittiker and naisy back would be a huge improvement to our team and without paying a transfer fee what would u say no to.

20.) 03 May 2017 21:44:05
Naismith definitely yes Whittaker um not sure and lafferty no way!

21.) 03 May 2017 22:19:01
Naismith yes but Whittaker and Lafferty thanks but no thanks

17 Apr 2017 18:59:00
Heard maurice johnstone being linked as our new dof. Would have some links in the mls i would imagine. Didn't he coach in canada?

JD90

{Ed033's Note - Another 'strong suggestion' from a bar in Aberdeen?

1.) 17 Apr 2017 19:15:49

2.) 17 Apr 2017 22:16:56
Nope heard it on the ferry from greenock

3.) 17 Apr 2017 22:24:40
More chance of boris johnston being our DOF than mojo lol

4.) 18 Apr 2017 10:02:34
I bet you if someone said to you in 1989 that MoJo was about to sign for us you'd want them locked up.

5.) 18 Apr 2017 10:15:41
Lmfao.

6.) 18 Apr 2017 11:18:22
Mojo would be cracking as DOF! I heard he's bringing in Nigel Spackman as our head striker coach too

7.) 19 Apr 2017 09:00:38
what boat from Greenock, you don't get a boat from Greenock

17 Apr 2017 12:26:00
Chelsea planning an £8.5 million bid for Barrie McKay if Eden Hazard opts to join Real Madrid.

Pedro Caixinha is keen on Hibs goal machine, Darren McGregor making an Ibrox return.

Kenny Miller to sign a new 3 year Rangers contract, meaning he'll spend his 40th birthday as an Ibrox player.

Ryan Jack to join Rangers and take former Ibrox bad boy, Joey Barton's no. 8 jersey.

JD90

1.) 17 Apr 2017 12:36:54
Lol you are ripping the single fish

2.) 17 Apr 2017 12:43:11

5.) 17 Apr 2017 16:39:10
Exciting isn't it coldo. Can't wait to bank in that cash from our blue brothers chelsea.

6.) 17 Apr 2017 18:24:09
What u been smoking JD? And can I get some!

7.) 17 Apr 2017 18:36:36
@JD90. Imagine what we could do with that kind of cash, exciting times right enough. Who would you spend the 8.5mil on?

8.) 17 Apr 2017 18:55:34
Just a wee question here fellow bears. It seems to me that a hell of a lot of our supporters seem to imply that all rangers fans should and do call chelsea their favourite english team! Well it certainly doesn't apply to me!

My favourite english team has always been newcastle utd and always will be! Spare me the mike ashley stuff! I liked the geordies long before ashley owned them and god willing, i'll still be backing the toon long after he's gone!

9.) 17 Apr 2017 19:33:55
After playing premier manager 98 on the mega drive it was Fulham. First team I managed and followed ever since haha

10.) 17 Apr 2017 19:45:16
Married into a family of Reds 36 years ago so it's got to be Liverpool for me, Super. Got very happy memories of taking my kids to see them parade 3 of their 5 European Cups/ Champions League trophies round the local streets.

11.) 17 Apr 2017 19:49:14
And that's why you should stay off the drugs kids! 🙄

12.) 17 Apr 2017 19:54:07
I've followed Newcastle United for 20 years. my first shirt was a Newcastle Brown Ale adidas one with Asprilla 11 on the back

My away shirt had Shearer 9 on the back

13.) 17 Apr 2017 21:28:44
Aston Villa 😞

14.) 17 Apr 2017 21:57:37
Going by my name I am a huge spurs fan as well as the Gers. First English strip bought for me and stuck with them since.

15.) 17 Apr 2017 22:05:53
Always has been always will be CHELSEA i still got my 1988/ 89 div 2 champions scarf lol com on the super blues

16.) 17 Apr 2017 22:19:12
I don't actually particulary like chelsea half their 'fans' weren't there before 2004. I'd like to see spurs beat them to the title

17.) 17 Apr 2017 22:26:50
Cant stand chelsea my english team is spurs i go down at least 5 or 6 games a season . most london clubs fans favour rangers over celtic in my experience . celtic fans are not as liked as they think they are

18.) 17 Apr 2017 22:31:40
Seanaldo1987, i assume you're also a glasgow rangers supporter as well my friend?

19.) 17 Apr 2017 22:35:06
Only the Bears for me. God, i don't even support my National team never mind an English side

20.) 18 Apr 2017 00:16:44
I'm in the same boat as you JLS. Couldn't care less about anyone else

21.) 17 Apr 2017 23:57:56
Man utd, first saw them as a kid with lee sharpe, cantona, mark hughes etc.

22.) 18 Apr 2017 09:10:19
Everton and any team playing against Manchester United. Lived in the North West of England after leaving Ayrshire, decided to go to Goodison and watch Howard Kendall's team. Was delighted to see so many Everton players at Rangers, everyone of them quality! Just can't stand Manchester United, it must be the Liverpool / Manchester divide!

23.) 18 Apr 2017 09:48:37
Aston villa has always been my English team

24.) 18 Apr 2017 14:01:58
Supercoop you assume correctly. my first shirt was one of the McEwans Lager Admiraql variety from season 91/ 92.

I was just 4 years old

25.) 18 Apr 2017 14:27:42
Never ever forget the day I seen Zola outside the bridge, grandad used to take me down once a year to a Chelsea game and it was the best days ever.

Always liked Newcastle too, mainly because of Shearer.

26.) 18 apr 2017 14:34:41
got to say spurs 1974, you wont like me then mate lol i'm a massive fan of arsenal.
for a team that doesn't win many trophies for years now they have been the best footballing side down south and i love watching them play the wenger way.

one thing that does my head in is that they don't spend a lot compared to the other big 4.

27.) 18 Apr 2017 14:55:40
One team for me = Rangers. Don't understand how folk can support two teams.

28.) 18 Apr 2017 20:40:46
It's Bristol city for me but that's only keeping a look out on results and hope they do well don't think you can truly support more than one team. I love rangers so that's my only team and My god that's stressful at times couldn't imagine supporting two teams would be like having two wife's 😟

29.) 18 Apr 2017 22:54:49
i don't support arsenal, i am a fan of the football they play and i want them to beat the other teams down south. i suport my team by going to the games and i am much more passionate about rangers obviously.

like most people on here we are not just rangers fans we actually love football and are football fans that if they are like me watch as much football as permitted by the wife lmao.

30.) 18 Apr 2017 23:13:51
So just like me seanaldo1987 you're favourite team in england is newcastle utd and your a glasgow rangers supporter! I also only actually support ONE football club ie. the famous glasgow rangers! I only count newcastle as my favourite english team and like to see them winning above all other english clubs!

31.) 19 Apr 2017 00:35:27
Anything called rangers has my attention

32.) 19 Apr 2017 19:08:35
I'm a Supporter of Rangers as I go to their games and vocally and financially support our great club. Whereas Liverpool are my favourite other Club but I'm just a fan not a supporter. 🔴⚪️🔵💪🏻

11 May 2017 20:25:40
Looking up more on the guy heneghan 6'3 and looks really strong physically could be a good signing but would still like the guy sumuila aswell. Of course if motherwell fans are going to say he's rubbish if they think he is leaving.

JD90

1.) 11 May 2017 20:36:05
You serious mate. The boy needs a good feed. What happened to statement fae pedro saying he wants " men " in the squad. Wee guy looks like a long distance runner

2.) 11 May 2017 21:04:07
Doesn't make him any less a man just because he 'looks a bit skinny' in other words

3.) 11 May 2017 21:11:57
i couldn't care less how much of a 'man' he is

m'well are battling relegation and have 2nd worse defence in SPL and he's played every game.

i might be pre-judging his pedigree but i reckon we need better

much better

4.) 11 May 2017 21:19:58
Certainly not the top drawer centre back I was hoping for! We would be as well sticking with what we have unless we are looking at him as backup for the Argentinian guy and the Portuguese centre back!

5.) 12 May 2017 07:40:07
I don't think we need to look any further than Glasgow for our next defender. Liam Lindsey is a must for me

6.) 13 May 2017 00:50:04
If he comes he'll be back up but we can't waste 500k not unless MOH is involved and its a swap but Well need to stay up for that to happen

7.) 13 May 2017 01:17:06
We definetly cannot afford to spend 500k on a back up!
Apparently going for Moult too. I hope that we can shift some deadwood player to Well as part of the deal.
In for Whittaker too so looks like Tavs is going to Forrest!
Question Bears how much do we let Tavs go for and minding Warbs knows our situation financially. I hope we can get anything over 800k but I do think he's a 1m player

10 May 2017 17:00:50
So alves isn't interested in moving to scotland and the ghanain would require a work permit, so who is pedros targets now for centre back? Liam lindsay?

JD90

1.) 10 May 2017 17:37:29
With King in charge it could be Kiernan and Wilson! I will be interested to see what unfolds but am not overly optimistic that we will see any quality signings. Just more bull from King until the season tickets are sold!

Alves was exactly the type of player we need for next season alongside half a dozen more new recruits with a decent footballing CV!

2.) 10 May 2017 17:39:31
There is the Argentinian defender from santos Laguna also alves deal not totally dead as I remember papers in the us saying that kranjcar has decided not to come because of his girlfriend that turned out to be false so we still don't know yet Hears hopeing tho would love to see alves at ibrox.

3.) 10 May 2017 19:40:24
Here is a thought. The papers don't have a clue who we are after. They are spinning crap and more crap! Pedro isn't giving much info up so the papers do what they do best, tell a bunch of lies.

4.) 10 May 2017 19:57:37
Keith (exclusive) Jackson of the daily rebel is worst for crap info ut latest signings.

5.) 10 May 2017 22:43:16
Alves will come, at his age when will you see European games again

6.) 10 May 2017 22:52:23
The argentinian signed a new three-year deal earlier in the year

7.) 10 May 2017 22:29:15
Who says the Ghanaian can't come over like

8.) 11 May 2017 01:30:34
The Argentinian signed a new deal but if he wants to come and we want him then its a simple job of negotiating a transfer fee!

9.) 11 May 2017 07:07:14
I know that but i get the feeing he wouldn't be cheap

10.) 11 May 2017 08:10:10
Gerz, he wouldn't get a visa, you need to have played in 75% of your countries international games in the past 2 years, Rashid has been involved in none. He could possibly get a visa, but there is a 99% chance he won't.

11.) 11 May 2017 14:54:05
JD, I suspect that you are right but it is up to King and Co., to back the manager and this transfer window will show us just how serious they are about mounting a challenge to Celtic. In King's case he is better using his money for these players than leaving it is South Africa since it won't be too long before the current Regime confiscates all the assets of European South Africans the way things are going in that country!

09 May 2017 16:57:52
All the best clint hill. If we're targeting not one but two centre backs then there might not be room for the big man in the squad. Won't forget his equaliser at the piggery.

JD90

1.) 09 May 2017 17:10:53
If you consider the likely departure of Senderos, Kiernan and Hill we may be looking at more than 2 Centre Backs!

2.) 09 May 2017 19:16:24
I am hoping for at least 3, and also get Wilson off the books if we can.

3.) 10 May 2017 12:09:57
I think he might just sign 2 centre backs and stick with Wilson and Bates, he seems fairly comfortable with them 2.

07 May 2017 12:15:05
Maybe playing waggy and garner is a good thing today as when they'll flop ped will see they don't have the right attitude to play for rangers. Hope to see barjonas, dallas and the finn all off the bench. Hopefully for once windass puts in a shift or he's out aswell.

JD90

1.) 07 May 2017 14:28:36
In my opinion Windass was brutal from start to finish and needs to go asap and take waghorn with him.

07 May 2017 02:51:42
Hope pedro throws in some of the kids tomorrow and gives alnwick a start.

JD90

1.) 07 May 2017 09:25:54
It depends how serious he is about this "cull" of players. If he is serious about certain players not good enough and being replaced then he should put them in. Change them today. But he wont. i think this cull talk is a load of nonesense. Rangers don't have the funds available to pay off 6 or 7 contracts and bring in 4 or 5 good players. Pedro makes a lot of grand statements but let's see how many are followed through. He reminds me of Ronnia Dalia when he arrived at Celtic. If Rangers get 6 players out the door and 4 in i think that's the best he can do and then its down to the new ones being significantly better. So today i don't expect him to give any kids a chance as he is going to need that same squad next season.

2.) 07 May 2017 10:38:07
Hoping to see as many new faces as possible now that we have no realistic chance of second place.

I see Celtic threw in a few new faces yesterday and both apparently slotted in well. I don't see why we can't do the same.

3.) 07 May 2017 11:33:45
If he plays players will he get the same pelters on here as against the Dhims

4.) 07 May 2017 12:17:53
Naz, did you see the youth cup final? There is as big a gap at that level as there is in the first team. Maybe even bigger.

5.) 07 May 2017 11:53:03
Exactly DEEB. He had to play young Bates due to injuries and he was getting slated ( with some on here predicting a record score in the semi final yet this came in the league game with the more experienced centre half playing? ) .

6.) 07 May 2017 14:53:45
Todays team just shows how much we need to change the personnel. 4 strikers playing, 2 as wingers and 1 as a midfielder.
