At least 4 new recruits required according to Gerrard and with two names flying about Skertal and solanke on loan these two additions alone would give us a fighting chance for the title I believe. Still think we need a number 10 and a fullback👍🏼.

JGG1

1.) 17 Nov 2018 10:23:14
They would be two top signings JGG1, a number 10 is also a must. I think davis will be the number 10 that we get, although not the traditional number 10 if you know what I mean👍.

2.) 17 Nov 2018 11:07:46
Wasn’t to sure about Davis tbh coldo but I watched him against the republic and he was a standout in my opinion. Even at 33 he would still stroll it up here. Also watched the England u21 game last ngt they beat italy 2-1 solanke getting the two goals and looked sharp and powerful getting him on January is a must in my eyes.

3.) 17 Nov 2018 13:43:23
Davis is quality and could be a fantastic short term signing until we can get someone in younger for the longer term, we could also do with a little more experience in the team so I'm for it even though I'm sick of the constant speculation about the same handful players hah.

4.) 17 Nov 2018 16:07:45
I had the same concerns about davis, I agree he is a short term option but let's be honest he would be a quality short term option. As for solanke, he bagged two goals against an italian u21 back four and gk that have over 30 appearances between them in seria A this season. By no means the finished article and would be a great addition to our squad👍.

5.) 17 Nov 2018 22:04:52
Jordan rossiter can be our number 10 boys . beleive . he’s building up to it . this is his time.

6.) 17 Nov 2018 22:25:06
Rossiter isn't a number 10 though, he's more a number 6.

He's more a box to box/ ball winning midfielder guy than a creative behind the forwards kind of guy.

7.) 17 Nov 2018 22:56:50
Jordan Rossiter as a number 10? he's a defensive midfielder not an attackin midfielder.

8.) 18 Nov 2018 08:38:40
The only No.10 I see about Rossiter is that he will be back in 8 to 10 weeks!

9.) 18 Nov 2018 11:01:35
No mols, no he can't👍.

10.) 20 Nov 2018 23:55:09
Were your eyes closed when he scored against hibs? that was some defensive midfielder . he can drive the team on when needed . well for me anyhow . he was always touted to be Stevie’s replacement at pool.

26 Jul 2018 21:54:01
What a top class performance from Morelos tonight ran his socks off and scored a fantastic goal. The defence is a million times better than last season how we've managed to get Goldson for 3 million is quite incredible. Also impressed with coulibaly he looks a player and solid. Only negative Ryan Jack should never be on our bench never mind starting eleven he just slightly above Sunday league level. 🇬🇧.

JGG1

1.) 26 Jul 2018 22:46:44
Very harsh on Ryan jack thought he played well tonight he breaks up the play really well, also Gerrard likes him so he must really see something in him.

2.) 26 Jul 2018 22:54:47
Morelos was superb tonight let’s hope this kick starts his season. Kent and Couibaly both looked good and Goodson was solid at back. However do have to agree about Jack very poor in possession and gave the ball away constantly.

3.) 26 Jul 2018 23:01:48
Tell you this waggy put in some good performances for us albeit in an inferior league . and he couldn’t cut it when we stepped up ( or so we thought ) but her never played a game like alfredo did tonight . welcome back buffalo. your a star.

4.) 26 Jul 2018 23:10:59
The only negative was Flanagan if we continue to play him we have no chance. Goldson was outstanding again, looking like a bargain for 3 million.

5.) 26 Jul 2018 23:27:53
Don’t know what game you were watching but Ryan jack put in a good solid performance tonight.

6.) 26 Jul 2018 23:41:25
‘Ryan jack just above pub league level’. behave yourself lad, granted didn’t have the best of games and i understand everyone has their own free will but that flippant comment tells me you have never kicked a ball in your life. a think you were last picked at ‘twosies’ and have now became a ref 😂😂😂.

7.) 27 Jul 2018 01:14:23
Ryan Jack was our best player last season before his injury, got sent off too many times but he had nothing but shite round about him. He needs a certain type of player beside him but there is too many people on here that have never played football to understand that.

8.) 27 Jul 2018 02:29:39
Jack was a mix of good and bad. Some stuff went through him and his passing was very inconsistent, but equally his positional sense, tracking back and work ethic was sound. He still isn't really convincing as a Rangers player though.

9.) 27 Jul 2018 04:45:08
I honestly can't believe some of the stuff written on here. The lack of respect for our players and manager is ridiculous. Morelos and Jack are both quality players and as everyone in a Rangers shirt deserves respect and support, Trust and respect the manager, it's him that picks the team and if he deams them good enough, support them.

10.) 27 Jul 2018 07:51:51
Ryan Jack has been a good signing for us, he will only get better gets stuck in. Defence we look solid, think flanagan has been good, but offers nothing going forward miss declan johns runs up the wing takin on lads and supporting the winger. Alfredo played well last night ran his socks off, hopefully more performances like that. Early doors but i'm happy with the team.

11.) 27 Jul 2018 09:49:58
Why exactly is Flanagan a problem for you? Because he doesn’t get forward? Declan John gets forward aye, how many direct goals did he contribute to last season. how many goals did he cost us by being way out of position, terrible at tackling and non existent in the air?

Flanagan > John every day of the week. John is a winger for me in any case.

12.) 27 Jul 2018 11:34:24
Agree 100% with LM1991. A defender's first job is to defend. Flanagan being more defensive minded gives us good balance with Tav wanting to bomb forward all the time. People harping on about John - him and Tav being naive defensively cost us umpteen goals last season, far more than his attacking play contributed.

13.) 27 Jul 2018 12:45:31
I don't think the manager wants Flanagan to go forward as he has said himself we were conceding too many goals last season, so he wants to tighten up in defence, also we were playing away from home in Europe so more important to not concede and maybe get an away goal,
Thats exactly what the manager wanted and what he got,

14.) 27 Jul 2018 16:04:55
Djkorjat ( never kicked a ball in my life) that’s a belter son 😂😂😂😂 . If you think that Ryan jack is Rangers class and the standard of player we need to catch Celtic it must be you that’s never kicked a ball in your life or either that your on the glue😂 Bluegav tell me one game last season that Ryan jack was our best player on a the park? BEcause all I can remember of him last season was him costing us games being reckless and getting sent off!

04 Jun 2018 16:12:13
Ovie Ejaria close to signing and Dominic Solanke keen to join Rangers as well on a years loan As well personally think that would be a fantastic bit business if we can get that over line 👍🏼 The first transfer market I can genuinely say I'm excited about for years good time ahead hopefully.

JGG1

1.) 04 Jun 2018 16:25:58
Don’t get to excited the same paper had Skrtel A DONE DEAL! let's hope so thou 👍🏻

2.) 04 Jun 2018 18:28:23
That’s true LDM17 and I’m quite glad that one never went over the line!

3.) 04 Jun 2018 20:19:27
Can't wait for the news next week, when the Dubai investor finally gets the blueprint over the line 😁😁

Just hoping we can bring some real decent talent to Ibrox again

4.) 05 Jun 2018 00:15:51
Time to get excited I heard that we have been linked with a billionaire

I heard it was a Dubai investor Arif Naqbi who has already invested in Rangers, in the tune of 2million back in 2012

He may be coming back to the fore with some much needed cash which will be great news for Steven Gerrard and Rangers fans

Arif Naqbi remember the name! A total legend and is a Rangers fan

Seemingly has a personal fortune of just shy of 1B but his company possesses an operating income of around 10B Massive landscaping and infrastructure Business

{Ed0333's Note - I think you mean Arif Naqvi not Arif Naqbi and he’s not an Emarati he’s Pakistani with a profound business empire not only in the Middle East But spanning globally.

5.) 05 Jun 2018 06:45:28
I'll ignore the billionaire romp!
However I looked at the young lads videos (& I know they can be misleading) but he is big strong and fast and likes a tackle, reminded me a bit a young Patrick viera
With SG coaching him he could do well with us before going back to Liverpool!

6.) 05 Jun 2018 07:41:14
Very mixed views from Sunderland fans on Twitter a lot didn’t seem very impressed

7.) 05 Jun 2018 11:54:05
Just sounds like Zelalem.

8.) 05 Jun 2018 20:42:13
Hope were not going to have another window were we r linked to loads of EPL sides young players, it hasn't worked in the past and it won't work in the future, we need tried and tested experienced players who r obviously affordable. I know Sir Alex proved Hansen wrong with the " you can't win anything with kids" comment but it's not Beckhan, Scholes, Giggs etc we r getting linked with

9.) 06 Jun 2018 01:23:41
Clint Hill a good player? He was indifferent a best. His distribution and foresight at back was nil. Worst short term filler in a while.

Ejaria on his way back to Liverpool all the best just simply wasn't good enough and said that weeks ago on here and got absolute dogs abuse for it. Sadiq away as well hopefully these two will be replaced with solanke and Davis and another 2 or 3 coming in because we will need it.

JGG1

1.) 15 Dec 2018 17:39:29
JGG players need to head out, king said we have way too many players on wage bill.
I'd hope we could do something with two Mexicans, at least one keeper, Wallace, dodoo, holt, two u name of wage bill. Mb sell Tav if 4m plus offer
Would not sell Morelos, grezda etc in this window.

2.) 15 Dec 2018 18:15:01
Would send worral back as well and replace him with a quality centrehalf and stick with the same centrehalf pairing for the rest of season. Goldson and hopefully the greek defender from Athens. WAllace is by and dodoo, holt the two Mexicans are simply not good enough need to cut our losses with them.

3.) 15 Dec 2018 18:55:41
Agree jgg. I don't see all the hype in worrall. Ejaria had more dig.

4.) 15 Dec 2018 19:09:24
Thats our famous no.9 and no.10 rangers shirts up for grabs, with sadiq and ejaria now away from rangers. The question now, is what 2 new players will be given these 2 famous jerseys! I'm saying steven davis and dominic solanke/ fran sol,
to fill these shirts.

5.) 15 Dec 2018 20:15:22
Possibly Dowell from Everton for the number 10 and solanke for 9. Wishful thinking lol.

6.) 15 Dec 2018 22:01:57
Davis and dowell but not sure on ST. Definitely won't be Solanke though, think it will be someone we haven't been linked with.

02 Dec 2018 19:41:10
Amazing result today but hate to be negative but Ejaria simply isn't good enough and hopefully Gerrard will find that number 10 were badly needing. Coulibally needs to pick his game up as well.

JGG1

1.) 02 Dec 2018 22:00:34
Ejaria was lost today. No time to gather the ball but I think that was also down poor ball retention by Coulibaly. Think he’s went off the boil in the past few games.
I’ve remarked previously that I’m not sure what Grezda brings to the team and today didn’t change my opinion unfortunately. He closed spaces down very well by looked unsure when in attack.

2.) 02 Dec 2018 23:07:32
JGG1.Please tell me you are having a laugh. Top of the league and you focus on the negative. Have you ever tried the old snooker? And as for the red card, yip it's a red all day long but when the coaching staff are on about commitment and desire then sometimes mistakes will happen. The only red cards I would moan about are through descent or daft boyness. Arfield misjudged it. Move on.

3.) 02 Dec 2018 22:49:19
Rubbish! He struggles like the team do away from home. He’s better at Ibrox on a bigger surface. To say he’s not good enough thou is utter rubbish. SG would tell you the same.

4.) 03 Dec 2018 07:40:41
Ejaria is good if he has time to play, but when under pressure like he was yesterday then he is a hindrance with stray tackles and passes.

5.) 03 Dec 2018 07:57:40
I've said that on here before ldm 17. I'd play ejaria at ibrox all day long he's great when we have loads of the bsll but in the big games away I'd have jack coulIbaly and arfield. Felt he's a bit of a passenger in most of our away games and gets caught on the bsll a lot.

6.) 03 Dec 2018 13:16:03
hardly negative when you focus on our week links/ / / i'd rather gerrard see that that ejaria and coulibally cannot play together in starting 11.its like playing with 9 men with both of them in team.2 luxory players we could do without.

7.) 04 Dec 2018 16:27:24
Yeah think Ejaria was the only one to have a bad game today tbh but when he is on his game he can be a very good player just very inconsistent. Think Coulibaly struggled with the pace at the start but grew into the game pretty well. Tav for me was are best player today and got to praise haliday he had a great game.

19 Nov 2018 21:11:28
I swear to god lads, if you want a laugh the night, go over to the moon howlers site there putting up the best 11 they have ever seen! One of them had a back four of. Thuram, Stam, AITKEN, Maldini 😂😂😂😂😂. Absolutely howling, oh the life of Timmy.

JGG1

1.) 20 Nov 2018 08:10:12
I wonder what our best back four of all time would be in a vote? Here is my nomination (I'm talking about a back four, not the old 2-3-5 format, i. e. two full backs and two centre backs:

Sandy Jardine, Richard Gough, Lorenzo Amoruso, Eric Caldow

I don't rate Hutton in any all-time list though Arthur Numan could be the left back. I saw Caldow play and he gets my vote. Pelters awaited!

2.) 20 Nov 2018 08:41:11
Who is aitken🤔.

3.) 20 Nov 2018 08:57:40
Porrini Amoruso Gough Robertson.

4.) 20 Nov 2018 09:30:01
goram numan butcher greig gough.

5.) 20 Nov 2018 09:38:20
Hard to disagree with that londonjock👍.

6.) 20 Nov 2018 09:53:43
Greig wasn't a natural full back or even a centre back, but a right back, what we'd today call a right midfielder.

7.) 20 Nov 2018 10:29:27
Greig was a number 4, an old fashioned right half.

8.) 20 Nov 2018 11:00:47
Yes The Seeker, I meant to say right half, not right back.

9.) 20 Nov 2018 12:01:06
What are the disagrees about? Disagreeing with Jardine, Gough, Amoruso or Caldow or all of them? Or is it Timmys again trawling our site?

10.) 20 Nov 2018 12:58:01
we have seen great defenders and goalkeepers at ibrox, i think we could name a different back line as there have been many great players to wear our famous blue shirt. heres another 5,klos jardine boganegra cuellar stevens. ronald de boer was a world class centre back when he came to us late in his career, you could see what a player he was, amarosou was a great centre back always got you a goal, big hendry good solid centre half,

11.) 20 Nov 2018 14:20:06
Doiger 👍👍.

12.) 20 Nov 2018 15:19:39
Think you mean frank de boer London jock.

13.) 20 Nov 2018 15:51:05
Whys nobody choosing Bert konterman 😂.

14.) 20 Nov 2018 16:41:02
My best all time Rangers team what I’ve seen. Goram, Reyna, Gough, Butcher, Numan, B Ferguson, Albertz, Gascoingne, Laudrup, Mccoist, Cooper👍🏼🇬🇧.

15.) 20 Nov 2018 18:29:31
ronald de boer was a world class centre back in his day, frustrated blue. did he spend 6 mths with us, i'd seen enough when he was there absolute quality. his brother ronald another fantastic player, remember the 4 -4 game at the piggery, he ran into the rangers end when he scored.

16.) 20 Nov 2018 20:54:48
i stand corrected frank was the cb, and ronald was midfield, memory serves me correct both at barcelona.

17.) 20 Nov 2018 21:13:18
So Ronald de boer was a world class centre back. And his twin brother, also called Ronald was also a fantastic player? Frank was the centre half mate, like I tried to explain to you already.

18.) 20 Nov 2018 23:02:56
Dave Smith is never mentioned as a gers great but a class player he was.

19.) 20 Nov 2018 23:33:21
Almost every one of them has larsson up front ahead of messi ronaldo etc it's hilarious. Plus Tierney at left back in a lot of them in front of guys like Maldini, Roberto carlos, marcelo and jordi alba, what a laugh 😂😂😂.

20.) 20 Nov 2018 23:35:39
I never have or never will go on to any celtic site mate! That's just me,
not interested what they're talking about!

21.) 21 Nov 2018 08:04:02
Had to get a swatch at them teams coops. Also noticed out of sll the great defenders cannavaro ramos hierro puyol etc, loads of them actually pick BOBO BALDE as the best centre hslf in there all time 11 😂😂😂😂.

12 Nov 2018 16:27:50
How funny was it watching Michael Stewart on the verge of tears on national television yesterday the hatred he has for the worlds most successful football club is quite astonishing to say the least😂😂 If Rangers win 55 this season it will comedy gold watching the utter meltdown from him fatson and Cris mutton please make this happen Rangers🙏😂.

JGG1

1.) 12 Nov 2018 17:37:20
Michael stewart is an absolute poltis of a man! Couldn't make it at the famous glasgow rangers and now he trys to take it out on us! An Absolute apology of a football analyst!

2.) 12 Nov 2018 18:28:43
Average football player and average pundit. Rangers pumping Motherwell absolutely destroyed him yesterday coops 😂.

3.) 12 Nov 2018 18:31:05
Should we have a poll on M. Stewart?

{Ed033's Note - There is a M. Stewart poll

4.) 12 Nov 2018 18:36:29
The same Michael Stewart who said it was a stone wall penalty when the same happened to Russell Martin last season at Ross County - embarrassing.

5.) 12 Nov 2018 18:43:53
I met Michael up in Fife with his wife and new baby a few years ago and he and I had a chat as they asked to sit at our table in the beer garden
To be fair he said some positive stuff about Rangers.

I think he is just trying to make a name for himself on the BBC I do agree he appears very anti Rangers
Perhaps he sould take a job in management and see
How he gets on.
It’s very easy to criticise when you not involved.

6.) 12 Nov 2018 18:58:24
Be careful lads I got 2 disagrees on my post which ultimately means Bhampot and rayman are hovering about😂.

7.) 12 Nov 2018 22:27:21
Stewart fanes being an MSP does he not?
Can hit us from Holyrood as well as BBC.

8.) 12 Nov 2018 22:43:11
The media in general are very anti-Rangers in Scotland. An example was when we lost to Livi, they ran with Gerrard under pressure etc. Yesterday when Celtic drew with Livi it was the pitches fault!

Even Proven who is normally quite diplomatic is starting to crack at the thought of Rangers under Gerrard being competitive again by suggesting he should leave before his reputation is damaged! And there I thought he was up here to build it?
As for Mutton and Fatson well they are already imploding inside.
It will make #55 all the sweeter.

9.) 13 Nov 2018 06:27:54
You're bang on the money Union Jack!
Some ex celtic media pundits are kacking themselves, with the thought that our manager steven gerrard,
gets his rebuild done quickly enough, to stop their beloved celtic getting 10 IAR. My own thoughts are gerrard has a more than decent chance of stopping their run! Although the rangers board, quite rightly, don't blab about what investment we have, there's most definitely investment coming into rangers and gerrard will be backed!
Davie provan's comments in his sunday scottish sun there, just proves they're most definitely sitting up and taking notice, of what gerrard has just started building at rangers. UJ, you're spot on, steven gerrard is up here to build up his reputation as a manager and not about to quit, because of the task of being the glasgow rangers manager! He truly believes and so he should, that he has a good chance of stopping them getting their holy grail, of 10 IAR. that's what's sticking in their throats and they know it! So Mr. Provan, stevie G is an iconic figure and winner and won't even think about quitting regarding his reputation! Look on the other side, he trusts himself wholeheartedly to get it right at rangers and if he does his reputation will be through the roof!
So its a glass half full for me provan, not like you, who are glass half empty, where rangers are concerned! Hope on, its not going to happen, where you say gerrard should quit or not!

10.) 13 Nov 2018 07:24:06
Well said Supercoop and the others. The media bias against Rangers in Scotland is an outrage. Even Steven Thompson, an ex-Rangers player, can't bring himself to praise Rangers. Maybe we shouldn't bother but it just made my blood boil when listening to that crap on Sportscene on Sunday! I wonder what they'll say if we go top of the league in a couple of weeks? Onwards and upwards to #55.

11.) 13 Nov 2018 09:31:50
These guys are paid to be controversial, if they are dull they won’t have a job.

Plenty of fans on here who are more critical of us that Michael Stewart but they are allowed an opinion but he is not?

Get real girls, who cares what the pundits and press say, we can do our talking on the pitch.

23 Sep 2018 20:54:36
Seriously how good a performance was that today considering the difficult tie we had on Thursday. What was majorly encouraging was the strength of our bench Also with a few to come back from injury. CELTIC are on the ropes here and it's looks like we're going to take advantage of this. A MASSIVE thanks to stevie g and Gary mcallister for bringing this club back to where we belong.

JGG1

1.) 23 Sep 2018 21:22:40
Agree JGG1 Very good performance by the whole team we've got players in all positions fighting to get into the team and have to say the buzz about Ibrox and away games is amazing #best fans in the world.

Only thing i would add is as SG says we're not obsessed with Celtic they're obsessed with us. We've got to be obsessed with winning every other game and the Celtic games will take care of themselves.

2.) 23 Sep 2018 21:23:20
Excellent not a peep from fat hartson and pricksutton.

3.) 23 Sep 2018 22:07:46
Breathtaking performance today and Stevie wanting even more! Love it. We have a right good squad here and for whatever reasons we Didn't do ourselves justice at the piggery. If that game was being played next week I'm certain we would win it and not only that but win it well. Very, very impressed with the boss and all of his backroom staff. We are absolutely flying right now. If we can keep everybody fit and rotate the squad in the correct manner we are going to be right there at the business end of this season, of that I have no doubt.

4.) 24 Sep 2018 07:51:12
Morelos was MoM for me. But Candyass was class. he must have ran about 40 miles in that game. McCrorie was class too.

Cant wait to see a scotland midfield of Mcginn Mccrorie and Gilmour.

5.) 24 Sep 2018 10:10:00
Well said Gman, The silence from Hartson and Sutton is deafening, especially after the Villareal game when Hartson couldn't even bring himself to say anything good about the Gers, he actually said that we rode our luck for our first goal when we had five players in the Villareal box? what an person,

Personally I would have it the other way about and put Morelos behind solanke. I think Morelos could easily adapt that role he’s excellent at holding it up and bring others into play and he would certainly benefit from a big striker taking some of the Heat of him.

Hardly think we will get origi Liverpool knocked back 20 million bids from wolves and Crystal Palace in the summer. Solanke will be one we get on loan and hopefully this will happen after watching him for the under 21 for England he looks a top class striker and would bang them in up here for fun 👍🏼.

What is it with injuries at our club if incredible the amount we get! Losing Kent is a massive blow was starting to come onto a game. It was the same with coulibally and barasic very frustrating. Time for Middleton or Grezka to step up hopefully.

The additions of Dowell, solanke and Davis would improve our chances of winning the league greatly in my opinion. Do think we need another centre half of quality and cover for fullbacks because you can't count on Flanagan because he’s utter mice unfortunately.

Would send worral back as well and replace him with a quality centrehalf and stick with the same centrehalf pairing for the rest of season. Goldson and hopefully the greek defender from Athens. WAllace is by and dodoo, holt the two Mexicans are simply not good enough need to cut our losses with them.
