Reports that we are interested in Jonathan Douglas. Think he as been released by Brentford. He was solid for them last year player who could add the bit of experience in midfield.

1.) 23 Jul 2015 10:10:11
How many midfielders can we play we need two strikers

2.) 23 Jul 2015 10:20:22
Why do we need Two strikers? We can only play one at a time, so Two seems a bit like wasting cash? Also Warburtons set up doesn't revolve around one main striker, it's a team effort, that's why he goes all out attack

3.) 23 Jul 2015 10:54:44
Keep hearing rangers fans saying we need another striker. We have 5!! Miller, Waghorn, Clark, Hardie, Gallagher. Whether you think they are good enough or not we will not sign another striker until 1 maybe 2 of them leave. We are crying out for a tough tackling midfielder so either Eustace or Douglas is a must aswell as Allan and that will be our transfer dealings done.

4.) 23 Jul 2015 12:08:13
I think we are badly in need of ONE quality striker and the others we have on the books will compete, to start with him

Kenny Miller will only be a bit part player this year! Doing his training badges at the club unless he proves to be the best out of the bunch

5.) 23 Jul 2015 12:14:06
Douglas and Allan would be two great signing and a striker maybe may

6.) 23 Jul 2015 12:22:55
Allan coming to rangers especially considering they offered £175k 2chances none and slim

7.) 23 Jul 2015 12:49:59
Gardner1965 Going to be honest when I seen there were reports of 100k I thought come on that is CHEAP!

Looking at the situation now

Hibs got him free so I think any decent bid above £175,000 is "welcome" Don't think Hibs can afford to let him leave for free

No disrespect to the other teams but I reckon come the end of season it will be between Rangers and Hibs, where Hibs worse case scenario can still go up from a play off position

If Hibs don't succeed in doing this they lose Scott Allan getting nothing

A fee of £200,000 upwards can get a few gems if can be found in Scottish football

Scott Allan is a good player but is he really good as people make out?

He hasn't been tested at the highest level yet

Playing in the Championship with three of the teams being part timers last year, says it all really

Contract is done by May

Valuation: £200,000 - £300,000

8.) 23 Jul 2015 15:29:41
Imo if hibs want too much in the end for Allan I feel we should turn our attention to Ryan Christie from ICT similar player to Allan and is a year or two younger plus wouldn't cost much

9.) 23 Jul 2015 15:38:42
Gardner I think it's squeaky bum time for you and your club because if you lose Allan your season's gubbed. The £100k bid was a wee test of resolve for Leanne Dempster and the Hibs board. Can they afford to risk losing him for nowt? I understand the lad is desperate to sign for us and that could swing things in the end. Like some of the other posters, I think he could be recruited for somewhere between 2 and 3 hundred k. Is Allan worth it? I'd say he's worth that and more. There's no doubt in my mind he is a quality player, a standout last season and way too good for the league he is in.

Just heard that as well as harry winks the is a possibility of us going for ryan fredricks on loan from spurs. Think he is a right back but not certain. He as been on loan to brentford in the past so that might be the link. Was on loan at Middlesbrough last year

JamesMac

26 Jun 2015 23:08:07
We are looking at taking young spurs midfielder harry winks on loan

JamesMac

1.) 27 Jun 2015 00:19:09
why would we want an 18 year old player on loan? we need people who can come into the squad asap and we develop the 18 year olds we have

2.) 27 Jun 2015 06:21:50
Think he is 19. Weiss was around that age when we loaned him. I don't know a lot about him, but if he is better than what we have, hungry, and wants to make a name for himself, he can only add to the squad. And we only have 2 central midfielders at the minute

3.) 27 Jun 2015 08:10:28
The lad is a very talented young player I've seen him couple times he played a couple games recently for spurs in malaysia and europa league games I also follow spurs as my 2nd team and go down regular to games and heard nothing but great things about the boy . spurs rate him very highly

4.) 27 Jun 2015 08:21:45
@AllanRFC,Jason Denayer at Celtic was only 19 and he didn't do to bad winning young spfl player of the year and is now in the Belgian team,on paper the boy looks decent playing in the English youth setup at all levels so maybe just give him the benefit of the doubt and stop being so pessimistic mate

5.) 27 Jun 2015 08:32:32
I understand what yous are saying guys. I wish there was more transfer activity but we know they are working on it. well a hope lol.

6.) 27 Jun 2015 08:42:21
Source is the daily rhebel. Aparantly the Tottenham manager is on the same wave length as Warburton

England U21 and Watford keeper jonathan bond rumour is doing the rounds

16 Jun 2015 17:27:40
Just been reading through Rangers rumours now that Vuckic is on warburtons wishlist and haris would like to come.

JamesMac

1.) 16 Jun 2015 17:46:11
Slovenian manager said to vuckic he won't be in the international frame if he signs for Rangers also Watford and Norwich are interested.

2.) 17 Jun 2015 10:47:58
Vuckic has had 1 cap for the Slovenian team- international football might not be the hardest thing to give up.

That was arguably our slackest performance so far, and hibs best. Yet we still took the 3 points. They had a couple of chances but the best saves of the game was all from their keeper. So it could of been more. We looked too good in that second half for them. Just needed the extra goal for it to be comfortable

JamesMac

1.) 23 Aug 2015 19:58:10
Agree totally we seem to try and walk the ball into the net, definitely need a penalty box striker

2.) 23 Aug 2015 19:58:25
We need a hungry striker, so we do!

17 Aug 2015 13:34:47
Hearing a lot of Harris vuckic talk. Would be more than happy but still think we need a striker

JamesMac

1.) 17 Aug 2015 14:11:34
He could play as a striker no problem. with two wingers supplying him he would be dynamite. He could also drop deep into midfield if required. The only draw back is his pace.

2.) 17 Aug 2015 14:12:15
I tweeted saying I would love to seem him come to ibrox this season and he retweeted it earlier

3.) 17 Aug 2015 14:44:32
we don't need him ta

4.) 17 Aug 2015 19:09:21
I would certainly like to see Vuckic back. We didn't get the best of him, and would develope well under WW. Great value and potential.

18 Mar 2015 12:11:50
The first 2 results haven't been good enough that is obvious. But reading people getting on at Mccall is a joke. Draws are never good enough for rangers but the quality in play as improved vastly in the last 2 games. For a start McCall as stopped the endless hoofing up the pitch from defence. It was the first time in months we was using our midfield instead by passing them and losing possession. We kept the ball even if that meant playing it back. We looked more comfortable on the ball and the players looked like they knew there jobs. Secondly, the first 5 minutes of the second half we looked woeful again and lost a goal. But instead of losing our heads they stuck in dominated and equalised and took the lead. Ok not for long enough but a week ago we would of lost that game. We looked like a organised football team for the majority of the game last night. Ok we need to do that every game for 90 minutes but it is a start. McCalls influence is obvious for me at the minute. The major concern now is conceding 2 goals from 2 shots from a team struggling at the bottom. We need to defend as a team, press all over the pitch. Time and time again we have seen teams break too easy, the back four being exposed, then opposition scoring a easy goal.

JamesMac

1.) 18 Mar 2015 13:04:24
Yeah a sort of agree there with you, but I'm blaming McCall for the past 2 dire results, because he's been watching us week in week out, he's been on BT sport pointing out that where he thinks we're weak, and where he sees why and how we're leaking goals, so he gets the managers job, he gets 2 home games, against bottom half of the league, and bottom of the league, and twice, in them 2 games, the defence has let us down BIG time, now I know, the manager can only do so much, then the team has to do the rest on the park, but let's not get away from the FACTS here, mcCulloch is our weak link at the back, he looks so unfit it's unreal, he's far too slow, he's that slow he's scared to go over the half way line, because he'll get caught out with pace, and McCall sees all this, and has saw all this, and STILL, he's first pick in that team! He was at fault for the first goal last night, he got out jumped for a header, he noticed the boy was too fast for him to catch, so he follows the red about moaning that it should've been a freekick, Wallace has to run foul the boy because he was getting away, then they score from the freekick, poor poor poor goal to loose, get mcCulloch out that team as soon as possible, and you'll notice a BIG difference! McCall knows this, so why the hell hasn't he changed it??

2.) 18 Mar 2015 13:28:06
Getting tedious but I agree totally, ref my earlier posts. dropping Jig would galvanise the team, we could press more and play a higher line. sure McCall sees it, unsure why he has not dropped him. I absolutely believe we'll make the play offs, and McCall has to have a plan for what will be effectively cup ties at that time. play the young boys already blooded by all means, but don't get rid of all the experience. keep Law, Wallace, McGregor, Shiels in there. they've got it in them SOMEWHERE. losing Cap'n Carthorse might just bring it out . heard a lot about how good a player Jig was(debatable), and how he never walked away(72k a month lot to walk away from). so if here is some sort of play if fit clause, show you are a REAL Rangers man Jig, and walk away from it.

3.) 18 Mar 2015 13:59:45
You are all saying it'll do us good to stay in that division for another season. You won't have a choice. It's a tough league to get out of and I wouldn't be surprised of its a few seasons before you get anywhere near getting out it

4.) 18 Mar 2015 14:27:07
Jig is a problem.I agree with that. He is never a centre half, he isn't defensively aware. But the problem is do you drop him let Moshni back in? I am all for giving youth a chance but maybe they can't see the young CBs being ready for it. The young RB sinnamon was on the bench yesterday so maybe put him in with Mcgregor back at his proper position. A concern for me is the lack of muscle and leadership in midfield when we haven't got the ball. That second goal should of been seen and dealt with. But looking through our team at the minute I can't see anybody who fits that role. Hutton doesn't look like the player I thought he would be, and take murdochs goal out of it what's he done? Games seem to pass him by. I am all for giving youth a chance but if the players aren't there you have to deal with what you have got. The team need to start playing for each other and they are showing glimmers of that, but the is still a lot of work to do.

5.) 18 Mar 2015 15:03:47
Yet again mcculloch gets the blame for these results, are yous blind? We can't hit a barn door from 3 yards, our midfield don't defend nor attack yet it's mcculloch who's to blame.

It's easy to make one player the scapegoat

6.) 18 Mar 2015 15:59:26
We scored 2 goals mate. so we can hit the barn door occasionally, just that we've got Jig leaving it open at the other end. scapegoat.? no, finished, detrimental to the team, yes. not the only one, but take him out and I think whole team would get a lift. we wouldn't have to defend on our 6 yard box for a start to make up for his lack of legs. Look, I never liked Jig as a player at any time, cumbersome, inclined to give away stupid fouls when we were attacking, balanced by the odd goal, and he did have a decent link up with Papac down that left side that made us hard to breakdown. but that was then, and he, and Boyd, are finished. time to move on.

7.) 18 Mar 2015 17:21:27
He did have a great part piece, getting a sore leg and rubbing the back of his head?? Even when he he'd commited the foul! Quality I think younger people say, finished long ago, can't have this contractual thing, if he knew he was holding the team back he would step down

Yeah, I live in Wigan. And almost all have said if they lose these type of players they will not get out of that league. Players can play at a level below there standard, find form and improve and be better players in tougher leagues. It has happened all through football. These players fit the bill. Have faith and get behind the club

Luigi,One of the teams he was loaned out to are after him permanently. So that blows the not good enough theory out the water. The Wigan fans rate him and want to keep him. Have you ever even seen him play?

D**k head 88, you give yourselves too much credit. The signings we have made, plus a couple more before deadline day, then two transfer windows until the prem is more than enough to challenge in that league. Our quality isn't the highest but you really have to look at how the quality of your team as dropped in the past 3 years

You are dead right mate. It is a little frustrating but he is doing the right thing, taking his time making sure we get the right lads in. The people whinging will be the first to get on the players back if they don't cut the mustard and have been rushed in. A lot of things will be going on behind the scenes we will only find out when the deals are almost done
