The s*n reporting that rangers have made contact with saido berahino over a potential deal, would be amazing if we managed to pull this one off, highly doubtful though

1.) 08 Jan 2017 07:18:01
No we haven't.

2.) 08 Jan 2017 08:34:35
We could offer massive wages or sell on % and sell him in January for a profit. i'm sure spurs bid 23 million for him in the summer.

Even if he was sold for 10 or 15 we'd still make money.

Not saying i'd want him to be signed for that reason and having someone on huge wages could upset the dressing room.

But it could be being looked at as a reasonable financial opportunity/ gamble by the board?

3.) 08 Jan 2017 09:26:44
The only ones that it would upset are our prima donnas that think that they are better than they are! A Buomsong style deal would make both him and us a lot of money and right now that is most likely the only way that we will see any serious funds for much needed new recruits.

All of the above said I don't see it happening!

4.) 08 Jan 2017 09:44:22
Camoo spurs bought him for £23 mill. He is on £75k a week. Rangers won't spend any money in this transfer window. They need another £2mill loan to get through the season so that takes loans to around £12 mill. So Rangers fans now expect more loans so they can buy more players? that's how clubs go bust (again) . Next time there us no way back so Rangers can only spend what they can generate same as every other club in Scotland. No pne is being bought. Free transfers and loans only.

5.) 08 Jan 2017 09:59:03
I'm led to believe he turned down a 30k a week contract

6.) 08 Jan 2017 11:29:47
Spurs never bought him for 23million they had a 22 million bid rejected he's a west brom player but the players contract is up in the summer he wanted to go to spurs but didn't get the chamce and spat the dummy so he's ffell further and further out of favour. he's scored 1 goal i'm the past year amd hates it at west brom so is desperate to move. And we would only need to pay a development fee of 500 grand. Bartons off the wage bill through his wages at him and other titbits . West brom offered him a 20k a week contract so he musta been on less than that before he's worth the punt especially if we could make out of the deal in the long run

7.) 08 Jan 2017 11:52:46
Exactly brogie82. I just to be clear, I don't see it happening but would be good business for the club. And he may see it as an opportunity to move to a bigger club

8.) 08 Jan 2017 16:41:34
And risk getting injured maybe for a long time for pennies compaired to what he would get at another club down south, wake up people even thinking fot one second he would contanplate on doing this must still be on the sauce from New years day lol Never in a million years will this happen. That days are long gone and while we are still playing in Scotland tgat days will never come again, we should be looking at our recruiting system and trying to find a few gems from the youth players from Murray park (well what was Murray park should i say! )

9.) 08 Jan 2017 17:06:34
There are two chances of us signing berahino and both are NO CHANCE

10.) 08 Jan 2017 20:47:05
Spurs didn't buy berahino for 23million johnnymac! They bid big money and west brom turned it down!

Pre-ordered new kit today already almost 22000 sold what a support 😯🇬🇧.

Jg1872

1.) 01 Jul 2020 14:38:54
We're the best, most loyal supporters in the world, bar none and i don't care who argues different! But it works both ways as our club is the greatest institution there is again bar none! 👌👍.

2.) 01 Jul 2020 15:10:37
Well said SGL 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇦🇺⚽️😎👍.

3.) 01 Jul 2020 16:00:56
Your right, stevie G loyal, that other mob can't touch us. No matter what league we are in or how much debt we have, we always follow on. The other mob say that they never miss games and they are the best🤔🤔they loose a few games and there fans stay away, unless they are going to games, disguised as seats and banners. 🤔🤣😂.

4.) 01 Jul 2020 17:34:38
spot on coop

for there’s not a team.

5.) 01 Jul 2020 17:45:21
See I would think the best fans in the world would have saved the best club in the would from going pop. Hahaahaha it's amazing how deluded use are.

6.) 01 Jul 2020 18:12:20
Checked Castore website, XXL sold out already. Strip looks great, class.

7.) 01 Jul 2020 19:46:45
Celticeob, a wee question for you here pal. Look at the season tickets we've sold already considering all things going on in the world atm.

Look at the number of our new castore home kits that already have been bought in our pre order. Before our demise we out sold at times manchester utd in our replica kit sales and when we didn't, we were only 2nd to man utd for replica kit sales in the whole of british football and that's now returned! Do you think you will sell more of your new adidas replica kits, than we will sell of our new castore replica home kit? 🤔

I can't see it my friend because we're better supporters/ more loyal supporters than you lot. When we were winning everything in our dominance around our 9 in a row era, you're breezeblock boulevard stadium was half empty pal! Now when you're team in in their dominance era, we're packing our stadium out with 48k season ticket holders and have almost 16k on a waiting list! 🤔

There lies all your answers pal!
Enjoy your evening, stay safe and take care and continue if you like with your obsessiveness towards the famous glasgow rangers, the GREATEST INSTITUTION ON THE PLANET, BAR NONE! 👌.

8.) 01 Jul 2020 20:25:48
sgl, is it worth pointing out to buzz bob that we did and that's why we are?

9.) 01 Jul 2020 20:40:45
So much for a tim free July. Didn't take much to snare one 😂🇬🇧.

10.) 01 Jul 2020 21:04:07
That lot live in a bubble and are deluded Eric Blair honestly pal!

11.) 01 Jul 2020 21:10:09
use! 🤣🤣🤣
It's those pesky schools. 🙈.

Seriously think rangers should consider signing Liam Boyce from Ross county, would bring a big of physicality to the attack and isthe current top goal scorer in spl.

Jg1872

1.) 31 Dec 2016 15:52:23
He would probably go backwards if he came to us .

2.) 31 Dec 2016 15:55:17
I did on Football manager 17.and he's been pants so far lol.

3.) 31 Dec 2016 16:24:05
Celtics desision making is the main thing that sets us apart. ther was a few instances when we could have made better desisions that could have resulted in a goal, obv forresters being the biggest 1.

4.) 31 Dec 2016 19:21:27
Plus a competent manager bluedie.

27 Aug 2016 13:06:18
Need a centre back with pace ASAP, if KRIS BOYD can beat them for pace then we're going to be in big trouble when coming up against quicker players this season.

Jg1872

1.) 27 Aug 2016 13:55:37
Totally agree getting in Hill was a joke. 37 year old guy with a recent history of injuries. Guy was finished years ago.

2.) 27 Aug 2016 14:14:14
We would have been better playing that boy from Raith rovers than Hill.

3.) 27 Aug 2016 14:14:16
To be fair he hasn't looked any worse in terms of fitness than Barton or Kranjcar like them he probably just needs time you don't play in the EPL as a centre back if you can't defend especially with the appearances he's racked up, forgetting his two goals also, feel the squad just needs more time and people are getting upset far too quickly.

4.) 27 Aug 2016 15:09:53
Ross you do realise time takes its toll on everyone. Hill was brought in as a player coach. Already it looks like the coach role is more for him.

I think the hill of a few years ago would have dealt with boyds run without much problem.

Just because weir was timeless doesn't mean every defender is.

5.) 27 Aug 2016 17:41:27
Keirnan simply had to cover across and blooter it away but the guy is a total lump. Most worrying for me is that Warbs seems to really rate him.

18 Jul 2016 16:17:43
All the transfers seem to be taking some time to finalise, not worrying yet so far this season but in future might lead to missing out on players, think this has been the only fault with the signing policy so far.

Jg1872

1.) 18 Jul 2016 17:19:11
I think we will be fine as long as we get a striker and C. B.

The team looks really good as it is and you can see that Warburton has stuck to the "only if they add quality" idea.

2.) 18 Jul 2016 17:42:49
How long does it take to sign a player? Players get signed in minutes on transfer deadline day. Warburton saying he leaves it to the clever people I'm sure is getting said through gritted teeth. The player is training, he wants to be here, the paperwork was surely ready, Warburton wanted to show him to the fans tomorrow, cone on clever people, stop messing about!

3.) 18 Jul 2016 18:16:13
Dodoo is taking a bit longer than I thought but he wants to come and was training with us again today so he'll be ours shortly no problem. Mariappa deal has went extremely quite but I think we're still in negotiations as he's not signed for anyone else yet.

4.) 18 Jul 2016 18:22:05
All true, but let's remember that a £250k or less deal is hardly going to get a huge priority on the Leicester side, so I don't see them moving particularly fast as they're only getting a minimum fee. So whilst they won't be unhelpful, I'm sure there's no great incentive for them in getting this deal done.

5.) 18 Jul 2016 18:23:21
None of us have ever done a single transfer I don't think we should judge since none of us understand the complexity of the job.

6.) 18 Jul 2016 18:13:06
do you know what happens during transfer, contract negotiations? Insurance, clauses etc? Players with 20 offers on the table? And your on about them taking too long, we have signed 8players already you know, and why on earth would you get worried. ? More important things to worry about mate.

7.) 18 Jul 2016 18:24:32
and its not a normal signing, we have to agree to a cross boarder training compensation fee which must be negotiated and finalised with paperwork which I assume is what is slowing it down but it looks like he's basically a Rangers player.

8.) 18 Jul 2016 18:46:52
Suddenly we are all in a rush to sign players and have told the clever men to hurry up. It could be that Leicester City are holding it up. Maybe Leicester City are in no rush to let him go. Maybe just maybe sometimes things don't go to plan and get held up. However, I like to think that the 'clever men' are doing hardball with the various clubs and agents, and maybe that is why the Mariappa deal is not being done . yet.

9.) 18 Jul 2016 18:49:31
Deals involving compensation can take an age, months in some cases. You have to make sure everything is done and dusted or the club can withhold the registration, ala the Accrington situation. Have patience and it will bore fruit.

10.) 18 Jul 2016 21:32:08
Think Management team doing a great job, researched targets, very professional and focused. Really like how we consider personal character and fit of the targets. No risky panic buys for us with his Management Team.
.

11.) 18 Jul 2016 21:37:02
The lads training today with us so calm down guys!

12.) 18 Jul 2016 22:57:43
Agree we need to be patient but is the lad not a free agent so Leicester cannot withhold registration. I think we are merely showing respect to Leicester and rightly so, and waiting until compensation fee is agreed before we play him. I think if push came to shove we could actually play him as I think terms have been agreed with the lad and we could let a tribunal decide if we couldn't agree.

13.) 18 Jul 2016 23:29:16
Imo transfers on deadline day are done quicker because the player and clubs could both loose out, but when they have time on their hands they can play hardball.

14.) 18 Jul 2016 18:57:12
Saying players get signed in mins is rubbish. On deadline day, many fail at midnight because the paperwork wasn't done quick enough, many have been negotiations going on for weeks, you can't possibly sign players in minutes, do you not understand any of that. ? Insurance for starters, these are often multi million pound contracts, you don't do them in minutes mate, or you could find your club paying a crippled player for the next 5 yrs, , lots of agents, clubs, fees, lawyers etc involved,
Tommy.

15.) 18 Jul 2016 23:30:09
And don't know bout you, but I'm delighted with the fact we actually have people negotiating monetary affairs, not just signing cheques in Rangers name. Aren't you?

16.) 19 Jul 2016 03:29:06
I think when we are in a better position financially transfers will be a lot smoother, even as early as nxt season with money in bank Warbs will be able to bring even stronger talent and more players will want to come to Ibrox.

Everywhere saying this, looks like a bit of a player from his highlights, quick strong solid, but so did half the shower of rubbish, I’ll take it with a pinch of salt, but an 18 year old who Leicester have offered a contract must have something about him.

Skov Olsen would be ideal, looking like just rumours though rangers have allegedly been in for him the last 3
Years without anyone hearing a sniff of an official bid. Wonder why?
