Does anyone have any new info on our proposed new CEO. I'm under no illusions of the difficulties that this position holds.
However, we need an experienced individual who commands an audience and is not put off dealing with them when the going gets tough or when the proverbial mud hits the fan.
The sooner this appointment is filled the better, then we can get behind him as he sets the clubs stall out for the season and beyond.
I have no doubt that John Bennett is a nice guy, maybe too nice a guy, though initially, he swung the axe as required.
We need this CEO to be the best of the best and to propel us forward with the right people in place, a workable business plan for the club and a 3 of 5 year plan for the football side.
We need stability and competence at all levels of our club, hopefully then, us Rangers fans can and will be behind the team knowing what's in front of us.

MG I wish people on here would stop talking as if we are M&S or Primark. Your average fan wants success but they really want at least to lay a glove on our bitter rivals. Even SG was given a target every year to which he achieved. Old firm win, win at parkhead, get into Europe, win a league. Progression. All I hear now is save millions, spend on infrastructure to raise revenue ( I await with batted breath on our night club outside) . A junior manager with a 2.2 degree could have created a business plan for that. Player model has went from B team being the avenue to bringing in work of progress to first team signings being the work of progress. So we are not a bus company or a house builder we are a football club that has won 128 honours.

Long time reader first time poster, love reading the rumours and banter on the site, just felt the need to join in with my viewpoints on our team.
Celtic are always up for these games and are always first to react, unfortunately, we don't seem to ever learn. Unless they have a poor patch they will sweep up everything and our piss poor board will hide behind the leather chairs in the hope that someone will come to the rescue.
Clemente Needs to wake up and smell the coffee, other managers have been given less time than him, he should have had the balls to drop Captain Miserable to begin with, and to drop the I'm right you're wrong attitude, we are not school kids he is attempting to instruct, we know there are issues needing resolved.
But he should know how to set up the team
to beat Rodgers and Celtic, they must be laughing all the way to silverware and the bank, against us we are so easy to swat about the park.
In terms of performances, finances and personnel we are miles behind and may never catch up unless savvy football businessmen are prepared to invest heavily with a measured plan for success and sustainability.
We are sinking faster than the titanic, but it had decent money spent on it and a lot of class to go with it.

Dessers and Matondo showing once again how poor they are. Cerny was shocking as well you have no chance with those front 3 having a stinker. Hooefully Bejrami helps and Cortes when fit. Its a work in progress I've said several times i'm writing this season off so i'm not too down but you can't have both a poor striker and poor defenders in the same team otherwise you will never beat celtic.
It was an absolute cert that we wouldn't win the league this season imo just need to suck it up and give it time, we have no choice.

Nobody did get near him most of the time but let's get this straight storm he didn't have a good game either and he really annoyed me yesterday with his antics and lack of willing to do anything without the ball. The fact he got anywhere near the full 90 minutes is baffling.

Dessers is decent around the smaller teams but up against Celtic and non doubt the opposition in Europe he will be found wanting.
he’s not good enough especially for the tactics we deploy he has no pace and a lot of time his first touch is terrible finds it hard to properly trap a ball and hold it up
He’s not good enough whether he’s getting service or not.
Many games against the weaker opposition he gets service and he’s still found wanting most of the time he eventually scores a goal or two but he should be considering how many chances gets created for him against weaker opposition.
I’m not holding joy judgment on some of the players who have came in under pc like Jefte diomande propper and nsiala
Hoping bajrami will be a good signing and will hit the ground running the way Barron has along with the guy Kasan.

If Dessers took his chances at Hearts we'd be nearer the top! We are in the middle of a rebuild and you're right we won't win the league but Dessers should be the next out the club as the rebuild continues.

Used to be Rangers and Celtic players featured quite a lot in the 70’s, I also remember if you weren’t playing first team football you had no chance of being selected. Also if you were off form or had played a stinker for your country it was almost a certainty you would wait a while before being selected arms other players were in possession of the jersey.

John2561, for starters Park Jnr, apart from having daddies shares, he brings nothing to the party. I still think Bennett would be good if he had a competent CEO and deputy chairman alongside him.

Blue, can’t argue with that, my concern is if we could see this, and Rodgers definitely does, why didn’t Clemente not action something that has been evident since before his reign. Tav has seen off so many managers it’s an absolute disgrace. If you looked at both teams in the tunnel on Sunday, Tav was certainly not brimming with confidence, and we all knew in our heart of hearts the definite outcome.
McCausland got into the team by default, the injury to Zak Lovelace. He never ever tracks back, caused the third goal on Sunday, gave up the ghost very tamely in comparison to that other lot.
The mistake Clemente made was not selling Matondo last week when the offer was there, never in a million years should he have missed that sitter, that’s our problem we never take our chances yet again that other mob don’t ever.

Verdant, did the previous CEO Bisgrove along with the Board approval sell Rangers to Clemente with a complete history of falsehoods and promises. Furthermore, wasn’t the renewal of contracts to stop Clemente from resigning and leaving with possibly some of his back room staff, preventing another headache at the desk of the chairman?
