John25 - I seen this rumour on FB saying Leeds will activate Ryan Kents release fee of £14m. Have you heard anything on this?

Also we are in for another youngster Mateusz Zukowski from Lechia Gdansk who can play cm or rb, seems a strange one but suppose it may depend on outgoings.

Just wondering if you have heard any names pal.

1.) 30 Jan 2022 19:06:16
Seriously doubt we payed 9 million for Kent and put in a 14million clause think his clause is 18/ 20 million.

2.) 30 Jan 2022 19:09:34
I could also bet the clause cannot be activated last few days of the window there is a lot more to these clauses than the amount of cash involved.

3.) 30 Jan 2022 19:13:38
Mateusz Zukowski under 21 polish international would cost easy 4 million in todays market and we will sign him for free will prob come in summer window hardly a strange one.

4.) 30 Jan 2022 19:27:22
We won't sell ryan kent for £14million, simple as that imo.

5.) 30 Jan 2022 19:28:05
RFC92 lighten up dude

Guy asked a question and posted what’s he’s read on line as a rumour
Chill.

6.) 30 Jan 2022 19:31:42
We payed 7m not 9 for Kent so double sounds realistic I'd take 14/ 15 but leaves us scrambling around for a replacement.

7.) 30 Jan 2022 19:41:40
Ment to be coming now.

8.) 30 Jan 2022 19:42:58
How does anyone know if he has a release fee?

9.) 30 Jan 2022 19:43:49
Take the money for Kent and run. Not interested and only turns up every so often.

10.) 30 Jan 2022 19:47:52
If there is a release fee at 14million that's prob only if Liverpool want him back 🤣 no way 14million or Wilson would be an idiot.

11.) 30 Jan 2022 19:52:45
Not playing anything like a 7 mill player never mind 14mill.

12.) 30 Jan 2022 19:55:49
We need to remember that Liverpool inserted a substantial sell on Clause so selling him for £14m wouldn't be that great a deal. It would only leave us with about £4m which is no where near what it would cost to bring in a quality replacement that would walk straight into our first eleven.

13.) 30 Jan 2022 19:55:53
Ryan Kent not interested in us unfortunately. Hasn't turned up this season at all.

14.) 30 Jan 2022 20:00:28
Old mouldy boots are you sure you got right name there is a very similar named player at Liverpool who is an attacking mid labelled the polish Messi 😂🤣.

15.) 30 Jan 2022 20:01:25
Mateusz Musialowski maybe.

16.) 30 Jan 2022 20:03:15
Even at 7 million to sell him for 14million is daft would need to give Liverpool 1.4 million And spend a easy 10million on a replacement so we would make next to nothing.

17.) 30 Jan 2022 20:05:42
Berkshire 20% sell on for Kent on profit
So that’s 1.4 million on a player we have fully paid for
Leaves us 12.6 million
Not bad for a player 16 months left on contract.

18.) 30 Jan 2022 20:15:50
Some good points guys, personally I don't see there being a £14m release hence why I was asking someone more in the know. If I remember correctly Liverpool have either 30 or 40% sell on.

I say a strange one as we just brought in someone who plays those same positions in Sands. Original poster has said since his original post that we have made an offer for Zukowski.

19.) 30 Jan 2022 20:16:56
How do you know 4mil wouldn’t replace kent?
He’s not turned up at all! There’s players out there for that money that would give you more than kent right now.

20.) 30 Jan 2022 20:25:20
RFC it was 7 million not 9 we paid for kent.

21.) 30 Jan 2022 20:31:31
I said on here a couple of weeks ago that we would be signing a winger from an EPL club, but did say Leeds, was Mau U. Also said we would be signing a RB, and possibly and attacking midfielder on loan, so that could be the RB.

22.) 30 Jan 2022 20:44:46
I'd sell him in a min we payed 7 mil fir him if we get 14 mil then pay 20% about 3mil to Liverpool. Plenty money to replace him and possibly another one in the door🤞🤞.

23.) 30 Jan 2022 21:20:22
When I come on here I genuinely can’t believe that some of guys are Rangers supporters.
Guys slating kamara etc!
Cos we bought him for 50k let him go cheap etc!
Ur all mental!
We have assets now!

24.) 30 Jan 2022 21:25:27
Berkshire better check your math no way have they got that size a sell on they get ten we get 4 behave that would be like 70% or something.

25.) 30 Jan 2022 21:37:48
Selling Kent 14m would bring in about 12m, as fee has been payed and liverpool due 1.4m. so 12m to go with SG 4m, NP 12m, as we keep get being told we have no depth, so should have about 28m in kitty,

26.) 30 Jan 2022 21:38:12
If Kent looked up quicker instead of extra touch he’d be unbelievable.

27.) 30 Jan 2022 21:59:54
John25 not saying 14/ 15million is not good cash but there is no way that is his release clause.

28.) 30 Jan 2022 22:10:05
28m in kitty but 25m losses from last year and 7.5m put in by directors to see us till end of season so we don't have a large pot of money what we had we've spent and fans need to get real we need to get back to living within our means it doesn't mean spending 5 or 6m on 1 player those days are gone until we can generate cash from Champions league.

29.) 30 Jan 2022 22:16:19
Hi guys, was at the game yesterday with the wife and kids in the County end as it was easier to get 4 tickets in there being local. Kent looked disinterested the whole game, was as if his head was elsewhere. If a bid of £14 million was to come in it would be tempting to take it as it wasn’t just this weekend he’s been off the boil this season.

30.) 30 Jan 2022 22:26:44
From the same account that said kamara and patterson to Everton for 20m was 100% a done deal. don't believe everything you read.

31.) 30 Jan 2022 22:33:28
Old mouldy boots

Zukowski Been getting game time at his club just now. Will he want to come and try take Tav position or risk sitting on bench?

32.) 30 Jan 2022 22:23:33
Hedges at aberdeen do a better job can get him for 200k 😂.

33.) 30 Jan 2022 23:14:17
Kent is still brilliant it Was proven when he was out injured how much the team missed him. People saying wright should play he did and was bang average.

34.) 31 Jan 2022 04:15:45
Nobody is asking Rangers to spend big money we are not stupid. But there must be some low risk quality loans or frees out there that can help us for rest of the season.

35.) 31 Jan 2022 06:21:42
Paul hedges is at blackburn not the sheep.

36.) 31 Jan 2022 06:44:36
Stig- I get what you are saying but surely Rangers are a bigger pull with playing in Europe and a bigger fan base, we will probably pay him more also. Not sure what they would say about playing time in the negotiations as Tav has that position nailed down so I agree with what you are saying regards playing time, but it's a new challenge for the boy if he takes it on, it appears his natural position is RB but can play MF also so a replacement for Patterson by the looks of it.

37.) 31 Jan 2022 10:45:08
Apologies John, I was thinking that it was 20% of total transfer fee received and then I was deducting that from what we paid for Kent so looking at profit rather than full funds. I will be happy if Kent goes and we bring in a quality attacking midfield player!

38.) 31 Jan 2022 11:27:54
Absolutely cool Berkshire,

39.) 31 Jan 2022 11:36:33
RFC talk me throughout what you think release clause is. when we signed him liversaid in a they had significant add ons and 20% sell on
Also imo we will never sign a ten mill replacement.

2 things from last night, some folks saying Aberdeen raised their game, maybe they did but I don't think they were that good just we were rotten and why can't we raise our game? Why do our players never seem to give that extra 10%, although I think last they only gave 10%, I actually can't remember the last game I thought jeezo they are up for this, we try to win games without having to put in a hard graft to earn it.
Secondly, some folks calling on individual performances last night, the whole team were poor.

Old Mouldy Boots

1.) 19 Jan 2022 09:44:14
Old mouldy correct team very poor last night.

2.) 19 Jan 2022 09:44:49
What about all our previous wins under Gio? Are you saying they weren't trying?

3.) 19 Jan 2022 09:58:48
To paraphrase George Orwell:-
All players were culpable for that performance, just some were more culpable than others!

4.) 19 Jan 2022 10:15:36
9.58 in the a. m, and MPH is quoting George Orwell?! You never cease to amaze me! 🤣🤣 It won't be so much Animal Farm on here today, more funny farm!

5.) 19 Jan 2022 10:29:16
Brilliant book for us of the Democratic Socialist mindset, BMGH01😂
It's the Funny Farm most days on here!
Football is mental how one game can skew your full perception of the season.
After last night it's easy to forget these same players are 4 points ahead.

6.) 19 Jan 2022 10:31:24
Unfair to say players didn't try it waw a bad performance end of and whilst we're all disappointed let's not go over the top.

7.) 19 Jan 2022 11:22:43
Totally agreea with Old mouldy . we should always, know what to expect against Aberdeen so no excuse that we did not accept that challenge and overcome it .

8.) 19 Jan 2022 11:29:33
It's a very fine line on here, MPH, and remember, many have toppled over that fine line even after we win! Go figure?! 🤣🤣 Win, lose or draw, some on here don't discriminate! 🤣🤣 The reason we're seeing such a reaction is the reality of not continuing the winning streak under Gio, and we got a large dose of realism, which is hard to take. Every fan should be disappointed, but some take it to the extremes. I've not seen any posts demanding Gio's head, but the day's young. 🤣🤣.

Am I right in thinking that one of the purposes of the winter break was to allow the pitches time to recover from the adverse weather? Bringing it forward just now will not accomplish that.
Personally I think the fans restrictions is enough for now. See what the data says in 2 or 3 weeks then see where we go from there.
However I bet Peter has his phone at the ready to get this rigged.

If you want to behave like them, I’d suggest joining their page. Some you win, some you loose. Let’s not become offended by everything and embarrassed by nothing.

2.) 03 Dec 2021 14:08:41
Going against the narrative there OMB - - let's not descend into the paranoiafest over in the East End.

3.) 03 Dec 2021 14:22:46
Indeed Bar72.

4.) 03 Dec 2021 15:24:10
I see little wrong with reminding us every now and then of what we are often up against.

5.) 03 Dec 2021 16:05:57
Bar it's not paranoia bro its happening on a weekly basis. Because of all of their conspiracy nonsense and costant pressure, and analysing every single decision that goes against them, and may I add not just from their fans it go right up to board level, as demonstrated by their recent AGM. imho referees are terrified of giving big decisions against them. Nothing to do with religion or team affiliation. If there is a 50/ 50 decision they air on the side of caution and do nothing for fear of the backlash from this mob across the city. I don't buy into that's for them to complain about referees and not us.
As I have already stated we would be 12 points clear had the referees done their jobs, its happening far to often, for it to be swept under the carpet. We have opposing managers coming on post match nearly every week clearly upset at major decision and I mean match defining not being awarded to their team, and from what I see there is only one club benefiting.
Every single decision given against them esp at porkhead is met with jeers and songs calling the referees a b tard it's not on.

6.) 03 Dec 2021 16:26:22
Surely he can't be a former season ticket for sharkhead?
How did the boys in lodge accept that. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
🔴⚪🔵.

7.) 03 Dec 2021 16:52:26
I think it’s embarrassing even posting that.

8.) 03 Dec 2021 21:12:23
He isn’t a former Celtic season ticket holder my wife is friends with his wife it’s utter bs.

25 Nov 2021 22:03:34
Got to say well done big Bassey, good solid performance tonight. Players reacted well and looked really good at times. Liked the change of tactics, scratched my head at some of the subs but I think that is just scar tissue from this season.
But what a double save from Greegsy, just wow.

Old Mouldy Boots

1.) 25 Nov 2021 22:24:48
Something for gio to work on there, we looked good for about 30 minutes of each half and seemed to slow down and invite them onto us. Having said that we should have scored about 6, but I like the 4231 set up. Onwards and upwards with Gio!

2.) 25 Nov 2021 22:37:27
Agreed OMB, well done Alan McGregor tonight, I was very critical on Sunday, but, there is no doubting his saves tonight, and in prevous big games.

3.) 26 Nov 2021 08:34:18
Good performance and nice to see the hunger back.
It's obvious to me we can't play Tav and Patterson in the same team.
Patterson came on and was like a lost sheep.
Tav should've been subbed off as he was poor and a bit of a bomb scare with his passing.

25 Nov 2021 22:01:11
Sorry if it's been asked before but see if we lose the playoff, is that us out of Europe completely or do we go into the conference?

Old Mouldy Boots

1.) 25 Nov 2021 22:07:54
Completey out mate would've probably been better to finish 3rd lol.

2.) 25 Nov 2021 22:19:24
Conference.

3.) 25 Nov 2021 22:20:12
Yes that’s my understanding. It may hurt us financially if we don't progress but if our key players play with the intent tonight that we haven't seen them do for months (and can sustain it for the last 10 mins of each half) along with Patterson getting into the team there is no reason why can’t. Dropping into the conference with them and progressing is like the lower league teams advancing in the Petrofac Cup or whatever its called now but not the Scottish Cup. We are Rangers and should be always be playing at the top.

4.) 25 Nov 2021 22:24:00
Yes we are out completely.

5.) 25 Nov 2021 22:29:21
Out completely.

6.) 25 Nov 2021 22:36:00
Out mate.

7.) 25 Nov 2021 22:38:07
Into the Conference mate, I'm sure of it.

8.) 25 Nov 2021 23:37:16
yes, but hopefully we'll win.

9.) 26 Nov 2021 06:44:18
Cheers folks, as clear as mud lol.

Got to agree Livibear. His passing is good but he has a mistake in him nearly every game, makes me nervous. I think he is poor in the tackle and a you say on the turn is slow. He is ok in the air but for me if we can get Doekhi in then he is an upgrade. If rumours are true he wants around 40k a week I don't think he is worth that.

Personally I don't see any EPL team being interested in Alfie just now, too hot and cold this season. I certainly don't think they would pay £20m for him, said it before but in terms of making the most out of Alfie financially we missed the bus on that when we rejected the Lille bid, I think we would be lucky to get between £12 and £15m if we do sell him.
John25 - Have you heard of any genuine interest in Alfie this season?

Nice thread lads reference the young players. I'll admit I don't follow them so I know nothing about them but look out for John25's posts on them. I've said for last 15 years or so if I had a kid breaking through I wouldn't have him at Rangers tbf as we have been very poor at giving the young players consistent game time which they need to take them up a level. Shame as it sounds as though Wilson could be a hit. Will see what GVB does with our decent youth prospects.

Good point Berkshire, the lack of spending on a quality player to improve the starting 11 given what is at stake is a huge gamble.

So would I Baxter, would be hoping players see it as motivation. Play by and lose your place, imo you can't beat some competition for places and when you are out of form or have a mare then you get dropped and need to earn it back.

Bit harsh BerkshireBlue, I don't think Itten has been given anywhere near enough time or a run of games to see what he can do. Or when I have seem him play I've never seen him look as though he wasn't up for it against a defender.
Agree, I don't think he would have made much of a difference last night as there was no chances being created because we were poor.
He would offer a different option however as he wouldn't be coming so deep to get involved in play as Alfie does and we would have a striker in the box for when the winger to find.

Sweep1 - its early days to say worrying signs are there. But it has been noted lol. I thought the United game was our worse performance also, last night was marginally behind it. As I said in a previous post our players don't like to graft too hard for their earnings and they certainly don't like it when other teams raise their game against them so possibly we will see some more performances like these 2 games. However, transfer window is still open. If we can get right winger and if he doesn't fancy Bacuna a creative CM in I think that will give us what we need.
