Just confirmed on Rangers official WhatsApp, yesterday's game was Ferguson's and his teams last game in charge. Guess we will find out who out new manager is soon hopefully ??.

There seems to be mixed opinions on our fate if we don't win this tie against panathanikos? Does anyone know for sure? I think we can and will win this tie but what happens if we don't? Are we out of Europe or do we fall into the the Europa league 3rd round qualifiers?

It's been said on here loads of times what happens. We drop down to Europa league and if we lose that game we drop down to conference league qualifiers.

Just not got a great feeling about ancelotti. I was hoping for an experienced manager to take on Rodgers and his team. By the way if it is Ancelotti and he does fantastic I will be one very happy Rangers supporter. Just wondering what other posters thoughts are? Is Ancelotti the manager you want and we're all hoping for? Even if not do you think he can do a good job for rangers? I honestly don't know much about him if I'm honest.

Tell me, those of you, what inexperience are you all referring to as regards Davide Ancelotti, he is not a puppet for his Father, he hs been instrumental in the tactical side of RM which has brought great success to the Club over the years. In my opinion he would certainly give Rodgers more than a run for his money, and again, this is my personal opinion.

My fear with Ancelotti is that we are now reverting to type, can see us with another team built for competing in European football but who can't break down Dundee or St Mirran away from home. I hope it's not the case and I'm ready to be proven wrong, but it's just a slight fear in back of head.

All other candidates that have been reported on over the last few weeks have all been sacked by their previous clubs. Yet taking a chance on Ancelotti is seen as risky? We've done that with Clement. New owners, new Board with a new approach. As fans we've been screaming out for this change for months if not years.

Give the guy. it might be the perfect manager then as every Spanish club will play defensively against Real and he has to find a way to break them down. yes Madrid have better players but so do the others compared to St Mirren et al.
I did read they were struggling in the game where they put on Joselu and he scored 2 and it was because Davide had spotted something about the way the opposition played they could exploit. I don't think he is a daft laddie and it might just work. one thing whoever it is will need time.

Agree with you all. I like Dessers. He scores goals but if a good offer comes in we should take it. However I didn't know we still have payments to make on him? Would it be worth selling him John? If he wanted to stay and taking his goals and experience into consideration, would it be worth selling him? I've no idea how much we still owe for him? Just thinking how much will a goal scorer like that cost to repl.

To be fair there have been some big crowds at a lot of the games. Over 55000 at Boca v benfica last night for example. Apparently the Americans wanted all later kickoffs especially through the week but FIFA are trying to accommodate for fans elsewhere in the world. But I get what you mean. The stand were empty for Chelsea's game but it was 3pm local time. I'm guessing a lot of the locals were at their work.

I'm looking forward to psg v atletico. I'll probably watch Bayern v Auckland as well. 8 pm and 5 pm kickoffs. The early hours of the morning kick offs will be to late for me throughout week. Looking forward to it as well also. The competition will take us close if not right up to our champions league qualifier. Some football to watch lol.
