John and the rest of the good people in the know can hopefully debunk or confirm what I'm being told.

Shankland to put in a transfer request. Ridvan to stay unless its obligation to buy and not option. Barasic is staying till end of season with only one more signing being made after the lad cortes comes in.

Granted its a drunken conversation from Saturday night but the lad who told me works closely with fan media and was adamant. cannot confirm nor deny the fourth Jura had any influence on his belief of conviction lol

Feel that with the business we have done thus far and maybe a striker we could win the league this year. 17 Cup finals from here on in. stick or twist?

Given Silva Diomande Cortes and Jefte are all early 20s I’d be surprised if we signed Shankland now. Given how late it is in the window I really can’t see them selling him as they will struggle to get a replacement.

Shankland is going nowhere, he has found his level and happy place. Though if Hearts find something a bit quicker St Johnstone will be interested for sure .

I really hope we don't let Ridvan leave for any less than £5m (either now or an obligation in summer) . He's clearly got potential, and now with a run in the team is starting to improve our team (so much more mobile than Borna) . But if we're signing Jefte I think it probably means he's away given Borna is in he only LB in the euro squad (so him leaving would require 2 of our three changes to the squad to be LBs which seems a waste) .

Even if we count Silva as a striker, to play the second half of the season with only two given the number of games we could have to play, would be a dangerous strategy . Danilo won`t be back playing before next season and Roofe is a 20 minute sub until he is freed at the end of the season. The only reason not to at least get another loanee striker in would be if the manager sees Lovelace as an option as back up. If he gets fit he could also give cover in the wide areas as well.

Davidb1996, Silva was the 1st player i mentioned out of the 4 in my post.

Having 4 was the potential issue, if we sign 1 more player as well as Jefte we are at 4, only 3 Euro spots up for grabs.
Unless 1 of the potential 2 out of Jefte and Cortes, is not coming in until summer window?

We will all find out soon enough.

I’ve got a strange feeling that there won’t be any number 9 coming in, Silva Diomande, Cortes and Jefte on paper look good but apart from Silva who’s been here a few weeks now the rest are going to take time to settle.

Diomande is the one I expect big things from, either way tho these signIngs are not really for now though! And if we get no new striker then I’m not really sure we’ve effected this season’s title race all that much.

If there’s a last deal to be had it’s a proven goal scorer, not one for next season. If we get a striker that will take us up to 5. If it’s 3 only for Europa league I don’t think Jefte will make it. I think the 3 will be Silva definitely. Diomande and New Striker/ Cortes. If the new Striker was Shankland I don’t think he would make it either- he’s a SPL player. I don’t think we will get a Shankland but for example if the new striker was someone like Michy Bat then he’d definitely be in.

All I’m interested in is the new striker all these signings are great but I want someone better upfront. Although I will say Dessers is been doing well but it’s still not enough. No new striker no league for me.

Apologies I read it wrong it was because of the way it was listed with the other 3. For me Jefte would definitely be included as Clement has said regularly about the imbalance of the European squad. I’d expect it to be Diomande who would miss out simply because we already have plenty cms registered.

I've not posted in a while, but still been following the rumours and posts. Appreciate all the usual posters input and new ones.

Reason I'm on today is I read (I know first mistake) the daily record "journalist" Jackson saying that the materials for the stand isn't arriving till next week, which is a lie as posters on here have stated that materials have arrived already and work has already underway. I'm at ibrox Tuesday night and my brother has been attending ibrox for the past few Tuesdays and has sent me pics of work being done.

My point is why do these journalists in Scotland just spew rubbish regarding us? Is it to whip up a frenzy? Put a hole in momentum? Like seriously what is it?

When you have a newspaper column deadline and not a lot is happening on the transfer front you need to create your own stories. Its how it’s always been if it wasn’t the building work it would be some other nonsense, the old classics are sectarianism and unrest in the dressing room. I’m sure they are going as fast as they can with the building works making use of the daylight hours but if you don’t have the materials therein lies the problem.

Bit short thinking. We all know it's not just seats, but good meaning upgrade of handicapped fan area, and may I say in doing so it puts Ibrox in top 5 venues in Europe. Main reason why Ibrox not being used as venue for other events was lack handicapped toilets. It is not just venue upgrade but marketing ploy to use Ibrox future events. Time to think out box.

I used to use what is called a critical-path programme to organize construction sites. A critical item is an item which has to be completely finished before the next item can start. Both steel and concrete are critical items and we all understand that things go wrong - aren't fabricated correctly or don't fit and all the rest of it, but this doesn't sound right to me. Critical items should be ready on time and checked for fit. The odd blunder is OK but this shouldn't be in the Press every week like it is.

Just seen the team news. now i'm always going to be positive around old firm games and i think thate because I grew up watching us in the 80s and 90s. but that team he's put out has genuinely left me heart broken today.

I'm not remotely agreeing with earlier posts saying that PC should be sacked if we lose this today but I do believe as fans we should be questioning why he'd pick that left hand side against a rampant celtic team with 60 thousanf rabid fans behind them. I fear the worst ladies and gents I truly truly do.

Much the same but like you hope otherwise, only positive with Barisic is his deliveries so we must get numbers in the box if he gets into the right areas.
Big job on for Sterling, Lundstram and co to protect that back four.
No natural width aswell, think injuries have played a huge part in recent games, plenty of numbers in the squad but lack of quality.

Big game today fellow bears. I'd love nothing more than the 3 points and an absolute statement of a performance, however recent showings lay bare the quality or lack there of at our beloved club. So I'll happily settle for a 1-0 win today to take us to the black hole next weekend. Lightweights don't win heavyweight fights, so above all a bit of balls need to be shown today and here on in. Not managing to get to the game today. However, I will be peeking out from behind the couch
