Last week we got hit with some stats that were meant to suggest we had much improved, like Dessers has converted double the chances this season compared with last season. It was stated that this was down to our crossing improving. Quote, the Cerny effect.
The same stats also stated that they miss twice as many chances as us and we have the same amount of big chances per game.
These stats were supposed to be a positive as the person who posted these stats had the fear about an old firm game early in the season but after posting these stats was now quite positive.
I have said before please stop using stats to create a narrative. Stats can easily be manipulated to suit a narrative. All you need is your eyes, they'll tell you the truth much more than stats ever will!
We were also told that they were weaker because they sold O'Riley. That aged well.

Is the stat man you refer to the same poster who refers to Dessers as the "Nigerian goalscoring prince"? ??
Don't be too hard on My star, he's not the brightest. They guy likes to boast that he knows the game, and anyone who disagrees with him, knows nothing, but if you know him, you'll know he knows sod all. Ask him about Sands, Beale, Cifuentes, Cantwell, Dowell, and a few others he claimed would be a success. His record is atrocious! There's more chance of getting a straight answer out of him than there is of him getting something right.

Coldo did anyone say the team was weaker? what I actually said was the midfield will be weaker taking 40 goal contributions from it, which it clearly will, you don't think that am cool with that, we aren't as good as them now, massive improvement needed.

These folk have their heads in the clouds. Our club is a joke and will be for many years to come.
1 league title in 13 years and nothing is going to change soon that's a guarantee.

A bad at work? C'mon its not just a day, its been years! . We don't get paid thousands of pounds a week to and play infront of 50k fans paying our wages to underachieve. Its a bit different to having a bad day at the 9-5! Happy enough to take the plaudits but can't handle a few home truths. Hardly a captain.
The sooner he is gone the better.
What's the difference to him hearing on the radio, hearing it in the stands, reading it in the media and being told to his to face?

Yes you did mention his form! You said " we signed Dessers in poor form? He was the top goalscorer for his club". That statement you have implied that he was not in poor form because he was top scorer for his club! Do you just make statements without understanding their meaning?
He was off form! 7 goals in 29 games is poor form!
You never mentioned form? But then say top scorer doesn't tell you he's off form! You just argued that you never mentioned form but you've interpreted that the meaning of 'top scorer' means he's on form! Again do you have no idea of the meaning
behind the statements you make?

I'd rather have a lot better than both leading the line. But with Dessers not being good enough and Shanks being Scottish and out of contract (euro squad numbers), I think its a cert we'll offer him a deal.

You said he was on form because he was top scorer at his club. 7 goals in 29 games is not on form. That's the point I made when stromtrooper said we won't sign Shankland because his form is poor. I said we signed Dessers when his form is poor. Which it was as 7 in 29 is poor form.
Just because he's top scorer with 7 in 29 doesn't mean he's on form. That means the team is in trouble. ?.

7 goals in 29 games? He was on form right enough! You obviously never watched him or you would never have said he was quality. ?.
