Anyone else hearing demonstrations outside ground on Sunday, don't know much about it or how true, just what I was told by a couple of season ticket holders.

Nobody has mentioned yet the assessment of the manager and club by Boyd, Sutton and McFadden after the game, even if your not big fans of them I thought it was fairly accurate of where we are and in keeping with how most of the fans feel, I've no doubt some will disagree with it and that was touched on as well.
1.) 16 Feb 2025 20:32:45
Boydy is just sounding very repetitive now. I don't mind him as a pundit but its becoming boring.
2.) 16 feb 2025 20:41:14
ok rosey, here's my assessment, i know young daddy and his dad very well but i don't know boydy or sutton, daddy is a decent football man but his allegiances kid across the road
we are struggling sometimes, mainly away, we have young foreign players who may be struggling to understand the rugged nature of the game here but
we are 13 points behind a club whi are settled, confident, cash rich and with a good manager in scottish terms, sadly and unbelievably we suffered a major cup upset while having 30 shots on goal without scoring, nobody can legislate nor comprehend that
on the other
we are 20 points clear of the third team despite some panicking about actually finishing third
we beat Celtic easily and with some style, something we hadn't done in a while
we were desperately unlucky in league cup final where blatant referring " errors" cost us the cup
we went thru in europe despite having to play 4 of the top clubs who qualified and played some great football including very nearly holding man utd at old trafford
it's been very disappointing this season, but it's also been unfortunate a few times, and it's not finished yet, if we can get through next round in europa we can start dreaming again surely
and, we have players who will move on for serious cash now. , been some time since that happened has it not? bassey and paterson aside it's my belief we haven't had anyone worth serious cash fir long enough, now we may have about 5-6 who will bring in cash and allow us to renew and replenish and hopefully compete, cl qualification brings us right back into the game next season, imho.
3.) 16 Feb 2025 20:58:12
Good assessment Tom. I've no doubt Boyd cares but he knows how to make a living in the media and. he has become somewhat of a joke to me now, him and Sutton being a Punch and Judy show has for me cheapened the product of Scottish football on sky.
4.) 16 feb 2025 21:00:58
that is of course, faddy, and his daddy,
, big faddy.
5.) 16 Feb 2025 21:02:27
Tom I hope you don't take this the wrong way mate
But i think that maybe the best reply I've seen you make and i am 100% in agreement with it
That was an excellent balanced post mate
I have always thought you wohkd be great to sit down and have a couple of drams with a mnd listen to some of the stories you could tell
Sometimes I think you. czn get caught up with the craziness on here i Hooe you don't mind me saying that I say with best intentions
Definitely best reply I've seen from you in in a long time mate
Spot on Tom when you stick to football think your knowledge on here second to none
Keep it coming ☺️.
6.) 16 Feb 2025 21:05:46
In fact it's the reply of the night for me after reading it again.
We definitely need more of these kind of replys across the site just good old football knowledge and chat.
Think the forum needed that well played Tom that put a smile on my face reading it.
7.) 16 Feb 2025 21:18:32
TT we went through in Europe because 5 other results went our way. We won't progress any further than next round. We are awful but like you I stand by the team and manager. See where it goes……I can't help but think that PC is complicit with the board and cost cutting. Wish the board would just be honest and tell the fans what's going on.
8.) 16 Feb 2025 21:21:15
Good and informed post Tim. I am still hurting from last week but life must go on. In a very charged and emotional environment it is extremely difficult to introduce structure and create solid foundations for the future. It can be successfully done but is not for the faint hearted.
9.) 16 Feb 2025 21:21:32
TT I agree with a lot of your post, here is my issue tho, I can't see 5 or 6 of the players who will go for really strong money. Due to how the standard of the spl is viewed abroad or down south no one is going to shell out a big fee unless the players are proven winners in a successful team. We right now are miles off success.
10.) 16 Feb 2025 21:28:05
Great post tom. Imo we were never going to win the league this year. This year was about.
1. Cutting our budget by 30%
2. Getting rid of high earners.
3. Adding value to our squad.
4. Getting the right people in certain positions in the club.
5. Becoming self sustainable.
6. Getting the age of our squad down
I'm as gutted as the next guy about how our season has went. How were we supposed to do all of the above and mount a challenge with barely any money? Ppl will come back at me and say but what about Queens? What about our away record and I'll be totally honest, it hasn't been good enough a blind man can see that. There's going to be bad times before we get the good back, did anyone think there wouldn't be? Add in to the above the horrendous injury record we've had this season again. We've got a manager that can beat celtic, has a good home record, has a good record in europe, do we throw that away in the hope the next guy can be good at all the above and good away in spl or do we give pc more time with the view that he can sort our away form? Better the devil you know imo.
11.) 16 Feb 2025 21:52:09
Otters, no we finished top 8 because we won our match. It's up to other clubs to win theirs.
12.) 16 Feb 2025 22:05:23
Otterspocket that's nonsense mate, we went through because we had some excellent performances, get a grip and give "your team" some credit, kind of comment you'd expect fae a Celtic fan.
13.) 16 Feb 2025 22:05:48
Brilliant post too BB4 well put again in 100% agreement with you another great post a d what this forum is all and should be allowed about good Rangers men chatting about our club team and football in general.
Well done Roseval for starting it off you have started a great thread with some cracking replys ?.
14.) 16 feb 2025 22:11:30
otters, that's just ridiculous mate,
like saying we win the grand national because some other horses fell, jumping is the name of the game
like winning points is
stig , i have my moments, cheers.
15.) 16 feb 2025 22:13:07
in fact otters, i'll go as far as to say we only won 55 titles because Celtic got beat.
16.) 16 Feb 2025 22:21:59
Bigdado, I agree mate 100%.
Otters, surprised by your comment bud. even the biggest teams in the world football sometimes need to rely on other results.
the fact were made enough points to give ourselves a chance with other results going our way in that league was tremendous and I celebrated every goal and win and draw.
Otters, no disrespect but I'm sure you did too bud. ?.
17.) 16 Feb 2025 22:34:41
Big dado I agree and I would go one further. we qualified as we won more points, scored more goals in our games than the teams in places 9th and below. Otters post is like saying that Spurs, Eintracht, Olympiacos and Lyon only finished in top 8 because none of the teams from 9-11 won.
TT excellent post and these pundits base their chatter based either on their allegiances or what they read the Rangers fans think. no mention from any of them that we have won more points than Celtic this year (2025) so far so results are improving if not performances all the time and Boyd went on about away form but 4 of those 8 games were away; 2 wins and 2 draws. so he talks rubbish most of the time in an attempt to keep Rangers fans onside so he can continue his double act on Sky.
18.) 16 Feb 2025 22:46:26
That's a fairly accurate assessment Tom. My other concern apart from is PC the one to change these things is will we really get the kind of figures for players spoken of. Eg One week Jefte is amazing and off to Chelsea for 10s of millions, next he's useless. Igamane has been built up as something great who going to break record fee but has gone off the boil.
Last year we were hearing Saudi money for Goldson and Tav and good money for others like Lammers based on his loan and Cantwell and Davies expected to bring in money but we got buttons for the lot. Until we really see good money for our players I'm not getting my hopes up.
19.) 16 Feb 2025 22:55:03
Exactly stig, really surprised at that otters is a good poster. Let himself down with that one.
20.) 16 Feb 2025 23:11:29
Tom a fantastic post well done.
Otters got to disagree we did not go through because of five other results, we went through because we beat malmo, Bucharest, nice usg and drew with olympiakos and spurs,
21.) 16 Feb 2025 23:56:09
Excellent posts by TT and Stig. Both so well thought out and spells out the facts of where we are. You are both fine guys and True Blues.
22.) 16 Feb 2025 23:58:30
I also meant to give great credit to BB4 for his recent top posts. Another True Blue.
23.) 17 feb 2025 00:09:38
i'm sure otters will rethink that john, i kinda get what he meant but it's wrong, without Rangers winning we go nowhere, no matter what others do, bit like saying man city win the league because liverpool didn't win.
14 Feb 2025 14:54:11
This is not one of the usual topics but you should watch the clip of Muscat in the dressing room with his players, very passionate and impressive to watch.
He was a tough cookie as a player and looks like he has respect as a manager, don't think this guy suffers any slacking!
1.) 14 Feb 2025 15:43:47
Rosevale can you point me in the direction where to see it mate. i'm still behind pc, but muscat was my pick before pc came in, so just interested to see what he's like.
2.) 14 feb 2025 15:45:30
very tough as a player too, typical tuff aussie.
3.) 14 Feb 2025 15:55:23
Tom hard as are a nail as a player, one tough cookie mate.
4.) 14 Feb 2025 16:04:28
Seen clips of Clement in the dressing room from his time at Brugge and I was foaming at the mouth thinking we had found the Manager we had been longing for, how wrong was I. Maybe it's a case of the current side not getting him.
5.) 14 Feb 2025 16:06:50
Would be a cracking choice to manage us, I'm sure he'd whip the squad into shape. I wouldn't fancy trying to look him in the eye if you hadn't given 100% on the park.
6.) 14 Feb 2025 16:18:32
I'm pretty sure that Muscat was ruled out for the job as he didn't align to the clubs vision - i. e. as a head coach he wanted to be incharge of player recruitment.
Not sure if that was fact, but it was definitely the rumour at the time.
7.) 14 Feb 2025 16:30:34
It came up on you tube Boy, the clip comes from the Sun, he has a translator with him.
8.) 14 Feb 2025 17:05:12
Crouch was saying that Muscat was the only player that ever terrified him, when he says "I'll break you legs, he meant it" was on a podcast can't mind it though.
9.) 14 Feb 2025 17:16:25
Is that like a % of the profit EHL? If that's the case I have no concern with that.
10.) 14 Feb 2025 17:26:57
Dado, I think he means choosing players to sign like Beale did. Keys to the warchest.
11.) 14 Feb 2025 17:36:14
No Dado, it was just control of signings as far as I recall.
Our preferred model is to have a head coach that feeds in to the recruitment process, but doesn't have full control.
Logic being we don't have a repeat of the MB windows.
12.) 14 Feb 2025 19:38:51
I honestly think EHL, the manager of Rangers should always have the final say on any signings brought to our club mate ?.
13.) 14 Feb 2025 20:21:43
I respect that some managers want to be in control with transfer targets.
That will rule managers out if Clement does go at some point, not all fancy working with heads of recruitment and whoever comes in will have to work with Koppen, this player trading model concerns me, we need to balance that with getting a more consistent team domestically.
Difficult to know what targets we have lost out on but hopefully in the summer Koppen identifies experience and players with strong mentalities and character, we have some raw young players that were brought in to sell in for a profit in keeping with the model but now we need a better balance.

What is the thoughts on PCs comments on asking the powers that be to postpone league fixture leading up to a big European game.
Surely a competitive game at this early point of the season is a good thing leading up to a European game, the pre season was poor so I would welcome as many competitive games as we can play at this point, would say the real issue is the lack of quality in the team at the moment.
12 Oct 2024 15:26:56
There is no rules Angus, would like to see some other opinions though.
12 Oct 2024 09:20:08
Angus you don’t have to react to every post pal and try not to take it too personally.
I don’t always agree about your take on the current team and players but you make valid points about the club.
15 Sep 2024 20:46:58
There is no doubt that he has put money into the club John, Does that make him exempt from questions from the supporters, there has not been transparency between the board and the fans and that has been contrary to what John Bennett has said in the past, the best in class statement always comes up aswell, could he not have came out and gave a general statement sooner about lack of funds, stadium etc.
Just because you have ploughed millions into a club does not mean that questions can’t be asked, and I’m not referring to the idiots mouthing off after the last old firm game.
I as a fan appreciate what he’s done financially with the club, but do I believe as a chairman he could have tried to create a better relationship with the support, yes. Maybe it’s the way it is but it does not mean that the support have to agree with it.
15 Sep 2024 18:22:56
How can you be in breach of contract if he does not play, we are not publicly saying he isn’t playing because of the clause whether that’s true or not, How could you prove that if the club states that he is surplus to the team now because he’s not deemed good enough.
No way is this the first time something like this has happened, has a club been taken to task for something similar in the past?
11 Sep 2024 06:59:05
Who knows whether he did offer to resign, but whatever way you look at it the decision to offer him a four year deal was bizarre.
18 Feb 2025 14:36:41
Angus it's not only Scottish football it's everywhere.
The successful teams will always have a strong spine and just to be sure I'm not comparing just using them as a mere example.
18 Feb 2025 12:29:39
Angus Carter Vickers is hugely important for them and he's big.
18 Feb 2025 10:17:53
Can give quite a few examples like the spine of the team is missing.
Our style of play is counter attack and we don't control games, speed of play is too pedestrian with teams that sit in, lack of natural width.
Need a strong goalie, centre half, defensive mid and striker then you build players around that.
I've said before we don't target these players to help the young players adapt and flourish.
18 Feb 2025 08:17:10
Storm good post, it's a two team league and we must be aiming to win it, the very least what you said.
We are out everything domestically by February and now we are being told let's wait till next season.
We need a change and a solid spine to the team that can handle the rigors of up here must be a priority.
18 Feb 2025 08:02:18
I agree with that to a certain extent Tom but in order to do that players need to be on top of their game and that generally comes hand in hand with the team doing far better.
What concerns me is a buying team tests our resolve with a low bid and we deal to soon. As Celtic have proved you have more selling clout when the team is doing better.
Already been talk of that regarding Igmane going for a lower fee than we hoped.
That won't be sustainable either long term.
