I for one wouldn't be upset with O'Neil or Martin, they are young British managers who have good reputations and unfortunately lost their jobs at struggling premier league teams and so have many managers, Rohl is a young manager also who hasn't managed a premier league team yet, but consensus is that a lot of fans want him? I'd rather a young British manager than some of the European names mentioned as no guarantee with them either, knowing British football from the get go is an advantage.

Storm I stay away from social media because of that. My point as you know is that they don't speak for all the fans and shouldn't put it out as if they do. surely the fan board should have representatives of all fan views. Also the level of whitabootery in their statement was embarrassing. Inthis case you are right and any morally decent person knows that. the fact that other clubs and their supporters act the same doesn't excuse what was done. we need to move past the 17th century as a club and hopefully our new owners drag us there. I was with a big Birmingham City fan last weekend. City fans are rubbing their hands in glee at the fact we've offloaded both Dowell and Davies with Scott Wright having also joined them. Davies has been irreplaceable in defence and Dowell is banging goals in.
Unfortunately, Wright is currently injured, but was playing well fir them beforehand. What he couldn't understand is with the poor performance in the league snd cups this season, why we would offload those players. We as a club fail to give players the opportunities and time they require to progress. Is it bowing to pressure from the fans? Bacuna was another, now playing in the Saudi Pro League.

I don't think it is different in a Rangers jersey as you need players to be ther right quality but there are elements which affect how a player can be good in that jersey: the quality of the league and players around them, being given a chance of a run of games and being played in a system and a position where they can thrive. I am not sure Dowell especially got that chance to prove his worth.
Dowell and Davies played at good levels in decent leagues so let us not kid ourselves that the SPL is a better standard than that.
