I think the man we're missing from the team is Jason Holt. Overlooked by many on here when setting out their teams.
He scored a lot of vital goals last year and drives the team forward and sets the pace of the way we play much better than Halliday.
Midfield 3 of Barton, Rossiter and Holt on Tuesday.
McKay, O'Halleran and Forrester up front.
Back 4 . oh crap! Can only think of 3 I'd play!

Holt was terrific last season.
Great finishing, movement and all round technical ability. Honestly thought he'd get the number 10 shirt this season.
The guy has been injured and will be back faster and better and add to our great attacking threat.
All we need is a finisher and a centre half. New news I know but it has to be mentioned on every post made on this site.

I have to admit I'm shocked halliday is ahead of holt in the pecking order, too many ready to write off kranjcar already after 1 bad game, the big man will be a class act when fully fit.

No post match comments from Warburton . it really wouldn't surprise me now if he accepts the first approach he gets from an English EPL team.
Who would want to bring his family into that environment where it appears acceptable for fans from other teams to invade the pitch, attack players and staff and goad Rangers fans. It happened at Motherwell (no meaningful punishment! ) . it's happened yesterday.
What if we play Celtic in Cup FInal next season? It was proven yesterday how easy it is to get past stewards and invade the pitch in large numbers. You can just see it happening again.
Of course . had it been the other way round yesterday . could you imagine Sportscene presenters laughing it off and saying it was just relief and exuberance?
No one likes us? Never a truer word has been sung! Our fans get arrested for singing songs . how many Hibs fans were arrested for assault? Or for going onto the pitch?

Think too many people are hiding behind what happened after the game rather than concentrating on what happened during the final. Bottom line is we were poor once again conceded 3 terrible goals and major defensive deficiencies were exposed yet again. Feel Warburton should have come out and explained how a team he said were fully prepared for the final were clearly not and why Waghorn who was clearly nowhere near fit started the game. Warburton is on record as saying he wouldn't risk him unless fully fit. Also he needs to admit that his notion of having a small squad has come back to bite us. I don't necessarily fall out with that but it only works if you have a squad that are all playing an active part. Sadly our bench was filled with players who know their time is up at the club and have contributed nothing this season.

SASB64. Have you watched English football recently? Do you miss Manchester United's bus being attacked for instance?
Yes the Hibs fans were disgraceful and some of our fans were too, though far less of them. From what I heard on the radio after the game Willie Miller and Chick Young both absolutely condemned the Hibs fans' bahaviour. Even Tam Cowan apparently laid into them on his show so let's not go down the Celtic road of claiming the media are all against us.

We need to calm down a bit. The majority of hibs fans were just celebrating. With regards the bad environment virtually every play off game in england has had some sort of pitch invasion.

I see Mr Green is on the prowl again!
Love him or hate him (and I can't honestly say I care enough about him to do either!). if he can find investors willing to put £10m into Rangers, then good luck to him.
It's a lot more than the current board have been able to raise.
Also got to admit that at times he does say some things which make sense.
"Fans need to unite. One week it's the Sons of Struth and then the Union of Fans - there is no union of fans.
"I'd love to see all the fans unite and hate me - at least then they'd be united. It's a disjointed fan base and someone needs to stand up and say it how it is. "
He is 100% right! We should have ONE body representing ALL fans and not working against each other. Surely it's not beyond us to get this sorted?

Seeker . 3 wins and a draw would put us on 82 points which is the maximum Hibs can get (even if they win all their remaining 9 games) . So we'd be top with a far superior goal difference.
4 wins means mathematically we can't be caught by Hibs or Falkirk . though I suspect they'll both drop more points and we'll finish 20+ points ahead of them both.
Be nice to have league wrapped up before OF game!
The cards and the songs won't make a difference. But a stadium which is only 2/3 full will. Starve them of the money and they'll finally have to go cap in hand to Dave King. I can't beleive Easedales and Co would see the club go back into Administration and lose the money they've paid for shares without a desperate attempt to sell out.
Pullis would be cheaper than McCoist!
