People asking why it's toòk so long to make approach for Mcinnes. I think the board have given the sheep too much respect and not made our approach until after the back to back games. Would them or any other team in this league afford us the same respect. Doubt it. We need to be more ruthless. If he really wants the job he will quit the sheep now. If he doesn't want to come, so what. We still move on and move up. We are Rangers after all.

I think it was clever waiting until after the double header just look at Aberdeen’s form last 5 weeks.
We are now in the best position we have been in the league for months thanks to murty and some clever timing of approaching DM

2.) 06 Dec 2017 11:59:04
weve taken our time and handled this the way the board wanted

if we rushed in appointed DM straight away and lost a cple plenty folk on this forum wld tear board to shreds - with some people you just can’t win

board took their time made no approach and nothing public till they were ready and had done proper due diligence as i wld expect after the pedro appointment

we’ve done it by the book& leaked nothing to the media

if they or milne ain’t happy - too bad

rangers come 1st

3.) 06 Dec 2017 13:10:54
Don't want Docherty at ibrox, his allegiance's lie elsewhere, I want people who love the club

02 Jun 2017 09:03:27
A good while ago, I posted on here about Ryan Jack signing. My source was that I know the family very well. Ryan is good mates with Kenny McLean, believe me Rangers is a big topic of conversation between these 2.If Pedro wants McLean he would jump at a return to Ibrox.

We need to be careful getting carried away with signing Aberdeen players. Remember, for all that we were abysmal last season we still beat them twice. including a humping up there. If we want to close the gap on the sheepos then no probs, but if we want to get closer to the manky mob we should try for better.

2.) 02 Jun 2017 10:26:42
A humping up there? a 6 minute period where Aberdeen collapsed out their arse and you class that as a humping? they had us pinned in for 78 minutes.

3.) 02 Jun 2017 10:31:00
Wasn't exactly a pumping up there! we were less than average until the last ten minutes! we scored 1 goal and Aberdeen collapsed afterwards

4.) 02 Jun 2017 10:41:40
We are taking one of Aberdeen's top players. If we go for McLean then we will have secured another top SPL star. So long as we secure a work permit for Pena and the Mexican striker, land a quality centre back and bring in Dorrans then we are looking good for next season. We should have a goo mix of quality Scottish players, an England youth international and some quality overseas players rather than the rabble that we had last season!

5.) 02 Jun 2017 11:59:59
were taking their top players. For me McLean is perfect for the scottish game and the system Caixinha likes to play.

6.) 02 Jun 2017 12:17:53
We should have won by 5 in the end.3-0 is a humping whether it be first 10 mins or last 10 mins

7.) 02 Jun 2017 14:15:15
i know by the time i got to pittodrie the bevvy had seriously kicked in but i don't believe they gave us a 78 minute humping from what i remember we were easily the better team in the first half with waghorn and garner both missing sitters granted in the 2nd half aberdeen came out the traps and if not for wes the game couldve bn done by the time miller scored

Ryan Jack does have an interest in coming to Rangers. What are Aberdeen supposed to say at this point in the season, when it's announced that your nearest rivals want your Captain? I get news on this pretty much every day, as I know the family very well. Only stumbling block may be, he is due to get married and it may depend on his future Wife's thoughts on moving to Glasgow.

1.) 14 Apr 2017 23:39:00
Anyone with a brain would move out of Aberdeen. Things will only get worse up there.

2.) 15 Apr 2017 09:54:37
I hope you're right mate. I agree, it's not like he's going to come out and say "i want to go to rangers" when aberdeen hate us and have a scottish cup and 2nd in sights. Why wouldn't his mrs come to glasgow

3.) 15 Apr 2017 09:47:53
Let's face it, if we offer him a contract he will join! Only the most die hard sheep fancier wouldn't leave Aberdeen for Rangers! Which I'm pretty certain he is isn't!

4.) 15 Apr 2017 22:52:43
He is / was a Rangers fan, and will come all being equal. The trouble is it is very likely he'll get a better financial deal down south. Doubt Celtic would worry about this one though, suspect he's at his peak and not going to improve our midfield much.

5.) 16 Apr 2017 14:20:35
Sandy in Royal Blue, i to know him and his family really well and what you said is i can confirm to others 100% correct and as for others picking up he's Due to marry very soon and his mrs Might not want to leave i'm possitive he ment like i know her family but He also ment if she was to leave Aberdeen it would be her prefrence to have kids and move and settle in England and Have a quieter life as they are very private private couple and don't need the spotlight like the problems the goldfish bowl Glasgow can bring at times for players and wifes that come from the Oldfirm devide especially the manky mob, but Of a good enough contract is offered he will come unless his future wife really drags her heels but Can't see her do that so i'm pretty sure knowing him especially if cotract offered would sign and Join, Gers man at heart too wich always helps. also

6.) 16 Apr 2017 14:36:40
I don't want any Scottish based players, they won't help us get closer to Celtic.

7.) 16 Apr 2017 15:36:49
Toral and hydman will be gone, krancjar not sure how he will return, rossiter unknown and halliday to go so we will need at least a couple centre mids and jack would be an improvment on what we have and no risk as free with reasonable wages. To delboy its mad to discount players because of what league they play in, would you have said no to grifiths or armstrong?

14 Apr 2017 10:11:56
Said on here and few weeks ago we were interested in Ryan Jack. Believe me this is a very possible deal. Lad is Rangers through and through. Has been since he was a kid.

Sandy in royal blue

1.) 14 Apr 2017 16:53:26
Not interested in moving to Rangers

2.) 14 Apr 2017 16:53:40
Hope it's true. Good player born in Aberdeen I'm sure you wouldn't get many gers fans born there.

3.) 14 Apr 2017 17:58:37
Albion93 and how do you know this?

4.) 14 Apr 2017 18:35:29
Because mcinnes said today that he spoke to him and he wasn't anticipating any contact from rangers

5.) 14 Apr 2017 20:14:18
Sandy in royal blue, i've also heard ryan jack is rangers daft although he's born and bred in sheepland!

6.) 14 Apr 2017 20:24:50
He's just told mcinnes he isn't interested in a move to us!

24 Mar 2017 10:04:36
Reading suggestions that we should go and nick Ryan Jack off the sheep. If we are interested in him we should make a move. He would be interested I'm sure. Saying this as I've known the family for years. His grandfather was a fanatical bear from Maryhill. He himself was a Rangers supporter as a youngster. I have watched his development from an early age, and I can tell you Rangers is in his blood.

Sandy in royal blue

1.) 24 Mar 2017 10:08:39
Decent enough player but should be aiming at least a little higher if we are to try close the gap next season.

2.) 24 Mar 2017 10:17:29
Who cares if rangers is in his blood, if he's good enough to enhance the team then that's all that matters!

3.) 24 Mar 2017 11:16:49
Ronnie bang on mate we've got one on the books the now Rangers in his blood, Goven Born, Mr one of us and a badge kisser and he's Rank Rotten ( if your good enough that'll do)

4.) 24 Mar 2017 11:33:11
i think he would be a fantastic signing. Not only would it be a good bit of business with him being out of contract it would significantly weaken Aberdeen which is always nice.

This is the signings we used to make, good Scottish players who know the club and league inside out.

Similarly, Paterson from hearts on a free would also be good business.

5.) 24 Mar 2017 17:14:41
Rangers might be in his blood, but not in his feet, I'm afraid. Not good enough, sorry.

6.) 24 mar 2017 17:15:52
i wouldn't say halliday is rank rotten!
he has been played in a defensive role .

he is an attacking player and has a good eye for a pass but can't do that playing defensively

7.) 24 Mar 2017 18:28:56
Haliday may have a good eye for a pass but his feet can't do what his eyes can see. His passing is shocking

8.) 24 Mar 2017 20:07:48
Been following rangers for 55 years trust me he's Rank Rotten excuses being made for him about having a good eye you can say that about anybody that can't pass a ball to were they meant to put it. Lol

9.) 24 Mar 2017 22:19:25
The guy is highly thought of at Aberdeen but is looking for a move. Whilst it shouldn't matter who any player supports I think it can make a difference. All being equal I would take one of our own. I'm not sure how good he is but the sheep don't want to lose him especially to us. Worth a punt on a free.

10.) 24 Mar 2017 22:48:00
Im not a fan of Halliday and he wouldn't b in my strongest 11 at this moment in time but to say he's rank rotten is quite harsh when you think of players gone by IE, capucho, sebo, ostenstaad, bernard to name a few. at least when he's rotten its not for the want of trying unlike some of the imposters iv mentioned

11.) 25 Mar 2017 00:30:40
Jls tbh mate i disagree. The players you mention were terrible but halliday? Number of goals we have lost because of to be frank his total lack of basic schoolboy level awareness is alarming. His error for 2nd v hearts was shocking. If i recall correctly we nearly lost a goal from almost same situation in next game. It will be interesting to see how he performs under new manager though as i do think the squad as a whole under performed under warbutton this season. Compare halliday in hearts game to semi last yr and it was like 2 different players.

12.) 25 Mar 2017 04:02:22
Andy halliday has been terrible this season truth be told. Although I think Warburton's style of play has held him back. Doesn't help when the boys playing out of position either. I'd definitely take a punt on the boy Jack. If were going to get him on a free what's there to lose? He's been a key player for the sheep for a number of years now and still only 25 with a lot of development in front of him.

13.) 25 Mar 2017 07:24:21
cant believe were still discussing andy halliday his future is over at rangers and rightly so, this year he's proved his limit is the scottish championship or lower spl at best any other rangers player who had put in the performances he had this season would have been booed off the park a long time ago, if things were different with barton kranjcar and rossiter halliday wouldn't have saw much pitch time this season midfield and CB will be pedros main areas to fill nxt season losing hyndman is a loss and possibly losing toral could be a loss too as i thought our new style really suited him in hamilton game

14.) 25 Mar 2017 08:43:56
I'm not disagreeing with you bored, but i think some fans go on as if he's the worse player to ever pull on the jersey. we need to remember he was released from Bradford for a reason and he's on pennys at us. the point i'm making about the players i mentioned is that they were on a fortune and all played at a decent level so theoretically should have been a lot better. p.s, got to agree his hearts mistake was a howler 😂

15.) 25 Mar 2017 13:39:39
I am not a fan of Halliday. I reckon he lacks guile and is not the bravest of players as was seen against Celtic. That said he is certainly not the worst player, (Those that say he is clearly weren't around when we had Jim Denny, Gregor Stevens or Neil Murray, those guys shouldn't even have been playing junior football.

I don't think Halliday has benefitted from Warburton's management style but then why should he be any different than anyone else. There is more fighting spirit, there is more team spirit and an overall better winning mentality

16.) 26 Mar 2017 12:31:06
Halliday is a decent player, at the very least a good squad player for us going forward. People giving it he's not good enough need to accept that he's been played out of position all season and we are still in 3rd place even with that shambles of a defence behind him. So he's obviously quite a bit better than most midfielders in the league.

17.) 26 Mar 2017 13:09:16
Will we be able to sell players like Halliday etc will they go easily if their going to take a hit in wages?

18.) 26 Mar 2017 13:22:36
Gregor Stevens, what a player he was, £400 a week and 10 lbs of prime beef.

Been reading the posts on here about the lack of youngsters playing football. I have been a youth football coach for a lot of years. There are some terrific young players out there. There are still some very dedicated hard working lads. Part of the problem as I see it is the lack of scouting systems in Scottish football. I had one of the top boys club teams, regularly winning leagues and cups. I could count on 1 hand the amount of scouts at our games. So much potential being missed. I don't think the development of our young players is a priority for our clubs. Players can be got by throwing a few quid. Why put in the hard work in cold wet Scottish nights/ mornings/ afternoons 3-4 times a week. There's no dedication.

Sandy in royal blue

1.) 26 Mar 2017 11:11:02
True sandy if they do get picked by team 99 per cent of them get dropped which puts them off football

2.) 26 Mar 2017 11:16:37
I do agree with you there, but when kids are at pro youth and at a top boys quite often them and their parents think they have made it when they are the start of a long journey. Parental guidance has to be good and realistic the more grounded the support the better the chance. Also we must make them aware of the social problems in society drugs and drink are still the biggest downfalls for youngsters today we can't stop it but we must give them something that feels like the better option

3.) 26 Mar 2017 11:22:14
I think that is a problem aswell the kids who do want to play and are dedicated don't get a look in cause the finance isn't there for teams to spend proper time with them and give them the proper coaching or support them through the times where it is hard

24 Mar 2017 11:09:17
Ronnie Rd. Not saying you have to care if Rangers is in the blood or not, but surely it helps. Even Pedro has recognised this as he is trying to recruit someone of this ilk as the Rangers number 3.

1st time poster on here, been following for a long time. With regards the Barton incident, iam seeing a number of people saying, Barton is correct, some of the players need a kick up the a**e, and a few home truths. This is the role of the manager and the club Captain. Look at Souness, Wallace, Greig. Leaders of men, who led the great Glasgow Rangers with so much pride and passion. Could you imagine any of these men relying on someone like Barton to tell them what it means to play for the famous blue jersey. It is time the leaders within our team stood up and let them know. Warbs, weir, Wallace. We don't know what was said between Barton, Halliday and Warbs, so we can't say who is right or wrong. These sort of things happen in dressing rooms at every level of football, I've been involved in a few myself. If we have been crap, take it on the chin, learn from it and move on. Time for all Bears to stick together, enough others out there hate us.

Sandy in royal blue

1.) 19 Sep 2016 23:27:34
Alot of what you say is true but Wallace ain't no leader of men, everything about the guy tells you he is a follower of men and a grass 😉.

2.) 20 Sep 2016 01:58:08
You hit the nail on the head although I assume that you meant Jock Wallace and not our current Captain.

The current Captain is not a leader and never will be. He deserves considerable respect for staying with the Club but the sooner we find ourselves a proper leader the sooner things will improve. We need someone with the passion, commitment and ability to lead from the front like Butcher, Gough, Greig, Souness or Amoruso. That is what the Club should have been looking to sign in the summer.

3.) 20 Sep 2016 11:25:13
Wallace stayed because he had a young family and he knew he would never make the same amount of money anywhere else.

The amount of goals we have lost from his non existent defending, yet he is never dropped.

4.) 20 Sep 2016 13:32:26
I agree wallace might not b captain material but he had the chance to go yo Notts Forrest a few yr back on deadline day and he opted to stay with us and i don't think they would be paying him buttons somehow.

I could imagine this being an accurate account of events, given JB has previous for bullying younger players, and the fact his over inflated ego wouldn't take a nutmeg from a young fit lad. If it is the case, then good on AH for standing up to him.
