Heard the takeover getting announced on Friday. ? New Manager getting announced Thursday apparently anyone heard. ?

Stoneyboy

1.) 27 May 2025 19:24:19
Takeover Thursday and new manager Friday for fact.

2.) 27 May 2025 19:49:28
Hope so big man. Can't wait much longer.

3.) 27 May 2025 20:34:26
My the drums are rumbling, I'd say soon.

4.) 27 May 2025 20:50:14
Heard manager being announced on day ending in Y and on a month ending in Y or E.
heard it is going to be on super scoreboard and due to the enormity of it they are getting an ex rugby player to announce it. going to happen online with board here and manager in a pool in Saltcoats with his wife and kids in background.
sorry ?.

5.) 27 May 2025 21:29:13
Q the posts asking for the evidence as this information is not getting out ??

John be careful they will be asking you to show your drums next ?.

6.) 27 May 2025 21:59:37
Time will tell Stig, Time will tell. information is obviously getting out as everyone knew about Thelwell ages before it was announced. oh hang on a minute!

7.) 27 May 2025 22:39:53
Angus, TBF, Ibrox4me posted the Thelwell rumour a week before it was announced. That name seemed to come from nowhere. But nothing seems to be getting out about the manager.

8.) 27 May 2025 23:12:03
Mark,

Ibrox4me couldn't have mate

Didn't you know, nothing is getting out ??.

9.) 27 May 2025 23:24:04
Highly doubtful the takeover is going to be announced on Friday king time scale for it was mid June reality it will be completed when it's completed And not B4.

10.) 28 May 2025 00:25:45
Stingo you don't seem amused nothing is getting out, but it's definitely the best way and is happening, that price is nothing more that guess work from sites wanting clicks.

11.) 28 May 2025 07:04:47
What month ends in E? ?.

12.) 28 May 2025 08:10:33
Mark I did remember that Ibrox4me had said Thelwell but it was last minute.

Ayebrox I hope you are joking

Stig FGS grow up mate. we have a difference of opinion and I have no issue with you, your mate or anyone who says a managers name. I just don't see there being 4-5 different names which can all be right coming from the same decision makers. don't want to fall out about it but i'd rather it didn't get petty.

13.) 28 May 2025 08:41:15
Ayebrox, all of them if you're from Edinburgh, E?
Maybe too subtle ?.

14.) 28 May 2025 09:02:43
I love how we have been doing it all quiet. The writers at the daily rebel have been going nuts over it. They have been coming up with any old ? ?.

15.) 28 May 2025 12:54:09
Takeover andnew coach will be announced on a day ending with Y.

16.) 28 May 2025 13:18:58
Takeover announcement unlikely to be this week, most likely week after next….

17.) 28 May 2025 14:27:11
Jim any idea who the manager will be?

03 Apr 2025 19:07:55
Anyone heard if the Rumours are true about Diomande to Lyon. ? £17.5m. ?

Stoneyboy

1.) 03 Apr 2025 19:31:08
There is absolutely interest in Dio, last I heard there was interest from 3 top French sides.

Would be surprised if it was for £17.5m though.

2.) 03 Apr 2025 19:31:35
That won't be happening Lyon anyway.

3.) 03 Apr 2025 19:40:29
Stones rumours that to French one Italian interested between 14-18 million.

4.) 03 Apr 2025 20:02:03
Lyon will be selling players.
Think we could lose both Raskin and Diomande this summer though, but on a good side it will give us more money to work with, really rate Diomande highly but he doesn't seem cut out for football in this league, anything like John said I'd be selling him.

5.) 03 Apr 2025 20:59:14
Peoples opinions of players on this platform really blow your mind at times.

6.) 03 Apr 2025 21:05:17
I'd say that's a great and fair price for him tbh. I expect he will move again in a couple years for double that again:

He's not suited to Scottish football but he is a class player. I'd say I'd want over £15m and £20m would be maybe too high so that's a fair price.

Raskin my price is a clear £20m as it stands and if he gets any more outstanding performances in between now and then it would go up.

I think we'll be very lucky not to lose both this summer.

7.) 03 Apr 2025 21:18:55
With the markets nowadays and how well they have done espialy in Europe that's fair prices in my opinion.

8.) 03 Apr 2025 21:28:34
17.5 sounds about right. Anything less is another example of us being utterly cr@p at this.

Raskin is 20+ if Raskin keeps putting in big performances he's 25 plus.

Iggy is 20.

9.) 03 Apr 2025 21:58:57
I've said it many times, I have no idea how to value players - but would be very surprised if Dio went for a few like that.

Also, same for the figures quoted for Raskin and Iga.

Not that I'd complain if we did get those fees mind you.

10.) 03 Apr 2025 22:06:08
Ger55 need to build a squad around raskin not sell him.

11.) 03 Apr 2025 22:06:23
Wont be lyon they have financial worries.

12.) 03 Apr 2025 22:15:36
Dio imo is worth 8/ 10m based mainly on euro performance and the profile he now has.

13.) 03 Apr 2025 22:15:59
I'd bite your hand off for that kind of money for Diomande, he has shown in flashes that he has talent but not enough.
We have two or three players that fans are rating as multi million sales but let's be honest none of them have been consistently outstanding for us and therefore difficult to replace . If we got the money quoted on here for Diomande, Raskin and Igamane and we appoint the right manager, we could use this cash to rebuild and have a really strong squad .

14.) 04 Apr 2025 00:02:36
Ehl, I base these figures on players of similar
Attributes and abilities and profiles from our league or other competitive transfers around Europe.

We can only guess but I base it on common sense. Ability is the biggest factor and then value of peers at domestic and international level.

Gdogg that's my exact thoughts as well mate.

15.) 04 Apr 2025 00:49:54
Sell sell sell I've got rizla's with a bigger gable end than him that bring me more happiness.

16.) 04 Apr 2025 00:52:32
If we make a profit on Diomande at all I'd be happy. I just don't see what people rave about.

17.) 04 Apr 2025 03:38:31
Are lyon not in financial bother ffp wise.

18.) 04 Apr 2025 06:55:42
Stevie, if I apply the same logic I get a very different answer.

19.) 04 Apr 2025 07:40:11
What are you saying superally? you think we'd get less than 4.5 mill. why would you be happy just to make any profit on a player that could sell for millions? if Rangers sold him for 4.6 million and made 100k profit you'd be happy with that? i certainly wouldn't be, he's 23 years old and he's a cracking player you see it in europe every single game.

20.) 04 Apr 2025 08:04:09
Those that think Dio is worth 17.5m, let's play devils advocate and test that theory.

If we were linked woth Dio and the price was 17.5m, would you be happy to pay that? (lets assume we had that cash) .

BTW - I like him and think he's a good player and if we can get that for him, take it and run.

21.) 04 Apr 2025 08:45:19
Is anyone paying 18m for Dio right now? Nope! Not a chance! C'mon, let's try and be realistic here.

StevieG2! You say you base it on "common sense"?! Really? 18m is pie in the sky for Dio, and a much more realistic figure, at this moment, is around the 6-8m mark.

The reason we don't make money by selling players is not because supporters on here undervalue them, it's because they're nowhere near as valuable as you think they are, added to our transfer model not being fit for purpose.

22.) 04 Apr 2025 09:18:00
6-8m is far to cheap Sunshine and would be laughed at in my opinion, how many players in the Ivory coast squad gets sold for that kinda fee?

23.) 04 Apr 2025 09:45:08
Diomande will not be sold unless his fee is double figures.

24.) 04 Apr 2025 09:54:34
Right now, that's what I think we get for him, but he definitely has skill, so hopefully his worth increses. His biggest letdown is consistency, and until he sorts that out, then we can't expect much more.

25.) 04 Apr 2025 10:10:25
Sunshine his performances in Europe will get that fee mate, clubs that are interested will not really be caring about what he does in our league apart from maybe the Celtic games and he's impressed in the last few of them, 17.5m is a tad high I think but we'll still get double figures, my advice to him would be for him getting out now, Diomande will take his game to a different level in Italy or France.

26.) 04 Apr 2025 10:35:49
I also believe he'd flourish in the French league, so fingers crossed, the French teams think the same as you.

27.) 04 Apr 2025 10:38:12
Ehl that's fair enough to u mate, would u share that number u get with us mate? Of course potential must be taken into account aswell. This is what happens when players leave Holland Germany France Belgium and so on.

The players we are discussing are full internationals.
Raskin in particular has shown himself to be a match if not better than anything he's came up against. Engels, £11m. Raskin is a far better player than him and Celtic would demand £20m tomorrow for him.

Diomande has shown himself to be an equal of anyone he's played against in Europe this season.

I'm not looking to debate lad I value you're opinions by what's the numbers yous have and why so low compared to what I, and others value them at as we've explained why aswel.

28.) 04 Apr 2025 11:20:30
I'd rate Dio and Iga at around £8-10m and Raskin at around £10-12m.

Think there was an interview with Arfield a couple of weeks ago where he cautioned Rangers fans not to get too carried away with valuations after Raskins international debut - thought he talked a lot of sense.

29.) 04 Apr 2025 12:19:56
Is Butland still £30m bargain buy? some of the stuff on here is insane . Are we still in for that big slow lump at Gorgie greetin faces fc?

30.) 04 Apr 2025 12:37:44
Dio looks a different player with space in uefa games. In league games he gets smashed. Think we should move him on if a good bid comes in. Raskin imo is a top player we need to tie down. If we can keep him and surround him with better players in a successful team then his ££ will go up especially with Belgium performances which demonstrates he can play at the top level.

31.) 04 Apr 2025 13:12:50
Ok Ehl thanks for reply mate.

As a wise man once said, a player is only worth what someone is willing to pay, no more no less. Time will tell.

32.) 04 Apr 2025 14:20:06
In response to a question above, about Ivory Coast players transfer fees. Didn't we pay £4m for him? Doesn't that just blow the "ivory coast players don't go for that kind of fee" discussion out the water?

33.) 04 Apr 2025 15:42:02
? DoTheBouncy many caps did Diomande have for Ivory Coast before he was a Rangers player ?.

34.) 04 Apr 2025 17:12:55
Sorry think I've picked you up wrong dtb, they have players valued at 30/ 40m.

35.) 04 Apr 2025 17:56:08
Dio 8-10 mill rasin 10+ hamza 15+ butland 5 mill tops.

36.) 04 Apr 2025 19:34:54
If we get a combined 20m for Raskin and Dio in the summer it's business well done. I'd be trying to keep Igamane for another season.

37.) 04 Apr 2025 20:02:15
20m for Raskin and Diomande, they got nearly 30m for a player not been able to cut in the epl so far.

38.) 04 Apr 2025 20:26:00
I agree with mystar here but i would take anything above
6 million and back ourselves to replace him he's not really fitted into scottish game but obviously has a bit of class about him.

If we could get 8-10 i'd bite hand off could buy two good mids with that money.

39.) 05 Apr 2025 00:47:55
Think lots of people forgetting he's got 3 years left on his deal, 6 million for him with 6 years left is criminal in my opinion. teams across europe will see qualities that others can see.

40.) 06 Apr 2025 11:00:50
If an offer let's you buy two or three quality replacements that were at same level you originally bought a player it sounds like a no brainer.

41.) 06 Apr 2025 11:02:03
We have for too long had too many midfielders and wingers that don't contribute enough goals and seems only ones we have had tilman cerny sima we didn't have concrete option.

04 Sep 2024 10:27:00
Is there any word of any player’s coming in on the free list, there’s quite a few quality players on the list.

Stoneyboy

1.) 04 Sep 2024 10:51:59
I hope today is the last day to do it.

2.) 04 Sep 2024 11:06:58
Unfortunately, 'quality' players demand (even though are not currently employed! ) ' quality wages, & signing on fee, which we clearly cannot afford either.

3.) 04 Sep 2024 11:10:27
I’d like to see an experienced midfielder come in if possible but the names I’m about to list are probably outwith our reach and tbh I couldn’t see any of them happening. Grzegorz Krychowiak is a free agent although he’s been at PSG and in Saudi so god knows what his wage demands would be.

Kouyate who was at West Ham for years is also available. Praet is another experienced player who’s played in the prem Serie A and UCL. Andre Gomez from Barcelona and Everton would also be an option although I think he may be injury prone. Then there’s also the likes of Davy Klassen who’s won the Eredivise 5 times.

4.) 04 Sep 2024 12:49:12
Alzate who we were linked with last season still doesn't have a club either and I read about a Romanian winger who we looked at a couple of seasons ago now being free. He signed for Bordeaux but as they have gone bust doesn't have a club. Perhaps Hagi could talk him into signing, hahahah. Now is time, get someone in and get them training for two weeks with the squad.

5.) 04 Sep 2024 13:05:13
whilst they would all be great I feel their wages may be an issue. I suspect if we are to get someone it will be from dutch or Belgian leagues where wages are more aligned to us and also Koppen and PC might know better. Marco Van Ginkel was mentioned around a month ago and can't see him getting a new team.

6.) 04 Sep 2024 15:04:18
Angus, it won't be from any leagues we're talking about free agents.

7.) 04 Sep 2024 15:51:58
DeBoer. I understand they are free agents and aren't currently with any club or in any league. I perhaps would have been better to word it by saying form players who had played latterly in those leagues.

8.) 04 Sep 2024 15:54:12
Doubt anyone will be signed also our squad has been submitted to uefa for the EL so unsure if that can be altered.

9.) 04 Sep 2024 16:48:08
Whose in the squad onewalter.

10.) 04 Sep 2024 17:58:42
thought the list didn't have to be put in till Thursday.

11.) 04 Sep 2024 18:53:17
Europe is only a part of the season, we need players to play in the league and cups too and they would enable the players in the Euro squad to get some rest. They can replace players in the Euro squad come January, I'm sure we will have injuries by then.

12.) 04 Sep 2024 20:15:00
Angus appears midnight Wednesday, here technically 4/ 9 in Europe.

13.) 05 Sep 2024 02:33:20
Play the kids, save money.

Put money on Marco Rose few weeks back, thought it was dead in the water. Mybe quids in after all.

1.) 02 Jun 2025 16:17:27
Only man I've betted but very sure I won't be him Stoney, hopefully is, I'd lift a tidy sum and he's the man I wanted, think Ancelotti has been agreed though.

2.) 02 Jun 2025 17:08:49
Wednesday's Sport headline will read "The Italian Job". ??????????????.

Goodstuff ?????? ?? ?.

Stoneyboy

23 Apr 2025 07:31:08
Would take Dyche in a heartbeat, old school football exactly what we've been missing for years, been to easy to play through since Warburton one pass and we're wide open. Not pretty on the eye but gets results.

Stoneyboy

03 Apr 2025 20:37:35
Probably Dio and Raskin most likely be away hopefully hold onto Hamza for at least another season ??.

Stoneyboy

1.) 03 Apr 2025 20:54:42
It's going to be another challenging transfer window - we have at least 15 players that are either leaving or that we may attempt to move on - plus a number of players that are attracting interest.

Good luck to the new DoSO when they arrive!

2.) 04 Apr 2025 00:06:00
Personally wouldn't go out my way to hold o to anyone from this current crop. Not to say I would be hurrying them out the door, but think any one of them would be easily replaced.

If we get over the odds for anyone I would sell.

3.) 04 Apr 2025 04:59:30
Easily replaced? That's just not true.

4.) 04 Apr 2025 12:57:20
Totally agree not one of them has done enough consistently that I would say they would be hard to replace if we got decent money for them. At the end of last season we would have said we'll struggle to replace Butland if he is sold, we wouldn't say that now and that is true for Souttar, Raskin and Dessers who have been our main men recently . We may struggle to replace Cerny but he's not even ours anyway.

28 Oct 2024 07:53:35
Gogic or someone of his build would be ideal as Propper has to be moved on in January ?.
