Some of the comments on here are ridiculous. With many bordering on the self entitlement echoes from across the river, that we all laughed about for months.

I remember the dark days of the late 70’s, early 80’s, when we were lucky to get a cup and the recent debacle of the noughties, that we got subjected to by nothing short of crooks.

Before Gerrard came in our set up and first team were a laughing stock, we had no consistency, no guile and no belief in the managers we had, our youth set up was pathetic and the stadium and facilities left a lot to be desired too. We have had euro nights to remember, he has raised our stock and profile ten fold in my eyes. This 1 in 9 nonsense, I ask any of you if you’d swap any cup or other triumph, for what we all experience by getting 55 and stopping the 10 they thought they had in the bag.

I’d also ask if any of you, would turn down in excess of £250k a week and a seat in one of the biggest money leagues in Europe? Regardless if it’s mid season or not!

He has systematically dragged our club into the light again, he’s brought players in and developed ones that we had into assets, something this club has never had before. Under any stewardship. We have at least 5/ 7 first team players that we can demand brilliant money for and I can’t remember a squad like that before. We always sold well under the value.

This guy is football royalty and will command and get afforded respect wherever he goes. If he goes, he goes with my respect, my thanks and admiration for what he has done.

We were Glasgow Rangers, before Stevie Gerrard and we will be Glasgow Rangers, long after he has gone.

The straits be broad or narrow, is not just a token song line bears. It’s our DNA.

Peace out.

This “ one in nine nonsense “ really mate, let’s stop the romantic nonsense, like Brenda before him he won a title against almost zero opposition, Lennon did the same, these players who looked great last year don’t look anything like great this time, why because other teams have sussed out the constant passing and the fragility of the defenders,
This isn’t about just leaving, this is about stabbing Rangers fans in the back, and if what the sporting press is saying is correct, make no mistake he will have stabbed us in the back absolutely
Seems he is above criticism to some, strange really, , i for one, after over 50 yrs attending ibrox when I could have never known a departure as poor as this, in fact apart from rodgers' who won everything first, I cannot remember anyone leaving anywhere quite so badly, I am of course surmising all’s as it appears.

2.) 10 Nov 2021 22:53:51
The concern now, if he is to go, is who will be brought in. Wilson makes the wrong choice and we are back where we started!

3.) 10 Nov 2021 23:02:29
We would all be happier with managers changing at end of season but it's modern football. He has improved our team, got us back competing in Europe and for titles and grown the value of our players so we can't complain. We are all Rangers fans so see Rangers as our pinnacle but if you are English getting your go in the EPL is always going to be your aim. Villa are a big big club, seem well run and have money and ambition so an attractive opportunity. I'll be gutted if he goes but we wish him well and move onwards and upwards. Our form hasn't been great this season with the feeling we have gone a bit stale so maybe some fesh ideas from a new man will be a blessing in disguise.

4.) 10 Nov 2021 21:59:11
Never been GLASGOW rangers but.

5.) 10 Nov 2021 22:09:32
Hes not going to gwt 250k a week as manager there.

29 Aug 2021 21:51:20
If Borna does leave and going by his reaction at the final whistle it would appear so. He goes with my best wishes, he’s been an outstanding performer and I remember his first few games, he looked slight and easily brushed off, was ragged at times and couldn’t last a full 90, but he embraced everything the coaching staff done for him and developed into a fine athlete and professional on and off the park.

He’s been hampered since returning from euros with niggles, but they guy gave his all for Rangers when he played and provided some excellent deliveries and the odd free kick when it mattered.

I wish him all the best if he goes, I’ll be ecstatic if he stayed but I’ll enjoy watching play where ever goes… cheers BB.

1.) 29 Aug 2021 23:59:11
Barasic and Kent will leave before the window ends. Use the money to get a LB, the lads Veerman and Ferhat in.

2.) 30 Aug 2021 07:31:20
Totally agree SML, He's been a great player for us. Some are so quick to turn on our own.

3.) 30 Aug 2021 07:38:48
8s that just an opinion 9r do you have inside info as I genuinely don't think we can lose 2 of our best players.

4.) 30 Aug 2021 08:39:38
BB we ain’t turning on them but it looks like we need to sell
So who
Do you suggest instead?

5.) 30 Aug 2021 09:44:03
I don't believe that Kent will leave and I hope that Barasic stays however I fully agree that if Barasic leaves then we need to replace him with a quality full back. Losing Kent would also be a worry and the money received if he goes should be used to bring in a top quality attacking midfield player. The big problem is that time is not on our side!

6.) 30 Aug 2021 11:58:38
I heard that Kent might go to leeds a while back and also kamara would go, with Veerman coming in from a good source. he also said Alegria would be coming in and if Morelos was sold Clark - Harris as a replacement. So far only correct about Alegria but see what happens rest of the window.

7.) 30 Aug 2021 16:25:48
Was your source john lol. I've watched Clarke-Harris twice this season now for Peterborough and let's just say he's been a long way off of being impressive. Poor touch, poor hold up play and very clumsy looking in general. I hope he is not on the radar.

I can’t see the SFA giving Gerrard a ban in time for the game v them.

It took them 2 months to get Neilsons ban on place.

Gerrard was right to call him out as it deflected the fury away from Morelos.

Gerrard backed him live on tv by his outburst and it proved a masterstroke as Alfie got his deserved winner.

Onwards we go.

1.) 04 Mar 2021 11:22:31
They can’t fast track these things apparently he will definitely be in dugout for st mirren.

2.) 04 Mar 2021 12:44:58
In the current situation I don’t think being banned and banished to the stand will make any difference whatsoever, everyone can be heard, the stadium is empty, so it’s just a change of seat basically.

3.) 04 Mar 2021 12:54:16
Managers should be able to ask refs about decisions they make

Thats why var won't come to scotland as it will show the truth in decisions and how some dive etc and get away with it etc.

4.) 04 Mar 2021 14:00:55
INTR yes you are correct they should but not on the park at HT as soon as they step on to the park apparently it’s a red card offence.

5.) 04 Mar 2021 14:03:48
I just read the rules.
Gerrard would have had a yellow just for walking onto the park to talk to the ref. If he had done this off the park, ie waited on Beatson to leave then spoke to him in the tunnel, then he would have had a warning.
If he then got angry and argued it would have been a yellow card. Because he entered the field, confronted the ref, swore and shouted, it should have been a straight red. I feel Gerrard had a case for complaint, but he should have known he would get sent off for the way he went after the ref.
Beatson was still a fud, just in case anyone thinks I'm siding with him.

6.) 04 Mar 2021 14:50:45
That's my thinking as well colin1968, but most on the banter page say Stevie was right to do what he did .

Certainly not me as he should have known the consequences .

However we all agree it won't affect our team management.

7.) 04 Mar 2021 15:10:12
Well done Colin for clearing the rules up, Stevie should apologise, he might do yet.

8.) 04 Mar 2021 15:26:50
According to Clyde Rangers have appealed against the booking Alfredo got.

9.) 04 Mar 2021 16:35:52
Should have, but see to be honest I have absolutely no problem with him backing any of our players. Especially a young guy who is referred to a different standard from every other player in this country.

10.) 04 Mar 2021 18:59:44
Not true lads, the ref was going up the tunnel but Gerrard was not, there was only that chance to confront him. This is actually world wide sports news because of who it is and has shed Scottish football in a bad light. You guys can blame Gerrard if you wish but I choose to blame the awful refereeing we see week in week out. Gerrard is right, how did 3 officials miss what everyone else saw and then accuse our player of cheating?

11.) 04 Mar 2021 19:52:00
Jyf 100% correct beaton is a crap ref and he is following in gollum's footsteps with his school teacher attitude towards players and managers. On Alfie's yellow it should be recinded as he was actually fouled where is the consistency after ajeti getting away with his dive with no action taken. On the flip side it's actually embarrassing watching some players flop to the ground in the box, especially the Antwerp guy when davis tapped his ankle.

12.) 05 Mar 2021 16:51:42
Stu Munro good shout offered one match ban for tomorrow.

25 Feb 2021 20:50:33
The buff was outstanding, unplayable and can’t be managed in that form. He deserves every credit as he does with getting negatives when he’s off it.

What an absolute joy it has been to watch Rangers this season. Never has “ignore the irrelevant noise” been more apt.

Outstanding Rangers, just outstanding.

1.) 25 Feb 2021 21:33:32
Here here👏🏻.

2.) 26 Feb 2021 07:15:08
absolutely brilliant from the whole team shows how professional and how well we are run now n what a bond these boys have together well deserved
we are the people
well done rangers.

3.) 26 Feb 2021 10:20:17
No let up now at livi, get another step closer and enjoy the next few weeks, and god forbid any players don’t get injured, I feel now we can afford to rest a couple and avoid the plastic, too much cash involved imo

I understand thhe call for strongest team, but this is what game management is all about, hopefully the players not likely to be involved in big money transfer deals will stay injury free, time for a squad to step up, imo.

4.) 27 Feb 2021 15:54:40
Only thing is Tom if we rest players ( and I tend to agree ) some of the support as demonstrates on here have not got the mentality to accept that . The manager would get slaughtered.

23 Dec 2020 22:15:13
Alfie just needs a goal and his confidence will return, he has been our prize fighter for tool long and everything was going into him. Now Roofe and Tav are chipping in as formation and team set up has changed. He’s a great headache to have and I’m sure once he starts getting on the end of things, we will only benefit. Kent, Roofe, Morelos our best front three of all firing.

Good team work ethic tonight and looking good, feared the worse with big Goldson shoulder, second time in a matter of weeks he has knocked it. Roll on Saturday and another 3 points and demolition of that lot.

Merry Christmas fellow bears and onwards and upwards.

StuMunroloyal

1.) 24 Dec 2020 09:44:03
A think Roofe could be the man to fire us to 55 he can score all kinds of goals he’s got bit of everything as for Morelos a know his confidence is low but to miss that chance last night was shocking.

2.) 24 Dec 2020 10:22:47
Deano1872 yes he missed a terrific chance but his confidence is shot ATM and its secondly not shocking 🤔
I've watched many of our great strikers over the years miss sitters from time to time! Alfredo will regain his form don't worry about that and let's all get right behind in his quest to regain his terrific form of before! He's going through a confidence crisis but he's still got the quality, that never leaves you!

3.) 24 Dec 2020 11:34:31
Well said Steven Gerrard Loyal👍🇬🇧🐻.

4.) 24 Dec 2020 11:55:51
Are you forgetting that Morelos is desperate to leave rangers, a love Morelos the same as everyone but if rangers are drawing 0-0 when he gets that chance and we drop points am sure peoples opinion would be different, a honestly think rangers should have took the 16mil for him if it was there because he’s not even worth 10 right now.

5.) 24 Dec 2020 12:21:13
Rangers will be lucky to get 10mil for Morelos, he's definitely not the same player that’s probably because he’s desperate to move on think rejecting the 16mil might have been a mistake but a really hope he can get his finger out because he can be a handful for defenders.

6.) 24 Dec 2020 12:22:40
SGL, your telling me that chance he had was not shocking? For someone on 25k a week and supposedly worth 20mil! He didn’t even hit the target missed it by 2 yards.

7.) 24 Dec 2020 13:43:23
We are where we are . I agree with the boys and would rather have him than not . He will come again and we will be flying as it will give us another dimension. have faith.

8.) 24 Dec 2020 13:55:55
Spot on Deano. 👍.

9.) 24 Dec 2020 14:29:18
Deano1872 think morelos is twice the player (in size)

10.) 24 Dec 2020 14:43:31
Morelos’ problems all of his own making I’m afraid. His mind was elsewhere in he summer and he’s still coming to terms with fact he’s not as good and sought after as his agent led him to believe. Thankfully his form in time will return but until then he is a squad player.

11.) 24 Dec 2020 14:54:06
I was in the same opinion guys, imagine missing an open goal shot by 2 yards, then I remembered when I was a wee boy and missed an almost identical shot my gym teacher/ referee told me don't get upset the spin on the crossed ball was the problem.

Hope that was the same for Alfies miss. (if it wasn't then he and us are in trouble big time) .

12.) 24 Dec 2020 15:17:11
Are you guys telling me that you've never witnessed worse misses by rangers striker's than the morelos one?

13.) 24 Dec 2020 15:39:52
Worse miss Peter Van Vossen.

14.) 24 Dec 2020 15:56:48
Ally Scott and Martin Henderson missed a few comparable to the Morelos miss last night.

15.) 24 Dec 2020 16:11:53
A legendary Rangers striker once told me he went through a bad patch where he couldn't buy a goal, missing sitters every week until in one game he scored with a header which he said really just hit him on the bonce. His confidence returned almost immediately and his barren spell was forgotten. Guess who?

16.) 24 Dec 2020 16:57:13
the Morelos haters are back out in force have a day off it’s Xmas eve

Problem with rangers fans is they have short memories.
Last year it was Tav now this year its fredo and I have been quick to judge before but let’s just get right behind every player that plays for rangers.

17.) 24 Dec 2020 17:47:38
No one hates fredo, just people are pointing out facts👍.

18.) 24 Dec 2020 19:03:52
It’s not all facts tho coldo it’s opinions and it’s my opinion that they are fredo haters on here.

19.) 24 Dec 2020 19:33:13
I love Morelos and have said so many times. His attitude and lack of respect for some of the values of our club is problematic.

20.) 24 Dec 2020 19:59:09
Kja9 my opinion is that none of our players are hated by our fans they may be criticised but not hated.

21.) 24 Dec 2020 20:25:01
Some people are extremely negative about our players, and I don't think hate is too strong a word.

22.) 24 Dec 2020 20:35:13
The opinion's are facts KJA9. He does miss sitters, his attitude is terrible, we would be lucky to get 10mil, his form is poor, he isn't scoring, he doesn't want to be here, he did through his toys out the pram because he didn't get a move, he's not the same player and he has brought all these on himself. These are facts KJA9👍.

23.) 24 Dec 2020 20:38:23
Kja9 how can you say the haters? It’s not hating it’s stating the obvious and a know strikers go through a tough patch at times but this has been 12 months now and am sorry to say a really don’t think we will see the Morelos of what we once had, a really really hope he proves me wrong but a just don’t see it, a think at one point Morelos thought he was biggar than the club and that may be down to his agent but he seriously has to change his attitude.

24.) 24 Dec 2020 21:27:24
Sorry KJ09, strikers are measured by GOALS and although I love Alf he is way, way off the boil this year SO FAR, I don't buy into this Keich that he us playing a different role nonsense. He is only worth 16 mill plus IF He is scoring, which he is NOT.

25.) 24 Dec 2020 21:57:54
8 goals in 2020. As good as he's been before Alfredo has been poor for a year now with the odd game here and there that are the exception.

26.) 24 Dec 2020 22:22:53
Are we all not in this together Rangers till I die, can you imagine if we were 16 points behind and our CF was missing sitter after sitter all hell would be let loose but in this moment we are 16 points ahead and we are complaining that our CF is going through a very bad patch but something must be OK everyone else is scoring?

27.) 25 Dec 2020 01:07:42
KJA9 Your not only one with opinion
Morelos does not want to be at club and for that reason, apart from him playing rubbish, he should not be getting picked. Hibs players know how to push his buttons and rest of team will be put off because of that.

28.) 25 Dec 2020 01:42:27
SGL never in 57 years of watching.

29.) 25 Dec 2020 10:51:27
Absolutely👍 too many in denial about the rotten attitude and performances. Total liability I'm afraid, no player is bigger than the club. Please stop using the term "hater", very cringe worthy and embarrassing.

30.) 25 Dec 2020 11:11:47
Fact is Delano I trust the manager more than you.
Blue would do why not grow a set and answer why Sg keeps playing him.

31.) 25 Dec 2020 11:13:25
Bar 72 you say strikers are measured on goals. SG says their is much more to Morelos game than goals, can u explain.

32.) 25 Dec 2020 13:10:03
DEEB, i take it you never seen Peter van vossen's miss at breeze block boulevard then🤔🤔I most certainly had some view of that as we were in the south east corner that night and right in line with it! I still pinch myself to realise he missed this from a superb jorg albertz side pass 🤔 and that's after 45 years of following the rangers everywhere pal!

33.) 25 Dec 2020 17:40:13
John25, explain? He was bought to score GOALS, he has 8nflated his value to 16 mill apparently, because he scored GOALS previously.
IF we want or need to sell him, NO-ONE will pay 16 mill for a striker who doesn't score GOALS or for someone whose temperament is in question.
Hope that is enough to help you out. Merry Xmas.

34.) 26 Dec 2020 03:32:04
Always negative about Alfie. Can i point out last season he was despised despite scoring plenty goals because of his reckless behaviour despite some atrocious lack of protection by referees. He stops getting sent off starts playing as a team member his holding if the ball and keeping possession is still the best at our club but still negative. Poor show lads he pulls on our top get behind him.

35.) 26 Dec 2020 07:57:44
Coldo opinions are not facts ever.

BWD and 6 counties your opinions to me are irrelevant as you don’t say anything positive about rangers.

Exactly unbeliever that’s why I think in my opinion they are haters on here as he stil got it in the neck when he was scoring.

Don’t care what anyone says he is our best player thru the middle.

36.) 28 Dec 2020 12:37:16
All the points about fredo are facts though KJA9👍.

37.) 31 Dec 2020 09:22:41
No opinion is a fact coldo and that’s a fact.

Can’t fault the endeavour yesterday, especially after the last few months and getting us into the position we are in.

Yes a few individual mistakes led to their goals but we had more than enough of the play to win the game. What is obvious is we need a between the posts striker, someone who anticipates before others reacts, an old fashion poacher, as the amount of times we miss the ball falling in that area is shocking.

I’m sure PC will address it for next season and it’s unfortunate timing that again injuries to our creative and wide player, is hurting us at the crucial end of the season.

There are so many positives to hold onto and a blip in the road will always occur at this juncture in the league, I’m sure they will regroup and hopefully an outing in Europe midweek will galvanise the squad again and strengthen their self belief as we push forward to the end of the season.

StuMunroloyal

1.) 03 Mar 2024 14:06:08
I think we'll try and sign kevin denkey again in the summer ?.

2.) 03 Mar 2024 14:07:50
Now that worked out well, thanks Hearts.

3.) 03 Mar 2024 14:09:19
Missing wingers like Sima Matondo and Cortez was evident yesterday, need at least one back.

4.) 03 Mar 2024 14:22:24
Calmness required as the boss says. If we all knew how football went, we would’ve bet a Jambos and Well double and sailed off into the sunset, with a wedge of cash. I’ve no doubt PC will get them into gear again, especially after todays result and grasp the mantel once again.

5.) 03 Mar 2024 14:35:58
Walter he’s out of our price range now valued at 20 million.

6.) 03 Mar 2024 14:47:26
Coop I’m reading today that scouts from spurs and dortmund have been to watch Denkey recently. If that’s the case then we can forget signing him.

7.) 03 Mar 2024 14:48:06
Cooper 100%. Matondo the closest to being back he could be a massive player on the run in, We miss that natural width and pace that stretches defences.

15 Feb 2024 15:19:28
Great performance last night, 3 points and carry the momentum, could’ve and should’ve been lots more, but watching these lads play with belief and confidence and above all trust in each other and the manger bodes very well.

Once guys like Cortes, Diomande, Silva all get up to speed and get familiar with each other and the systems PC wants, we’re in for a treat, over the next months.

So many positives and tangible changes are evident throughout the team.

StuMunroloyal

1.) 15 Feb 2024 16:27:24
The squad is looking stronger.
The bench looks very good now.
Players when given the chance seem to be grabbing it.
Clement is resting players / utilising the squad perfectly as some return from injury.
Plenty of positives as we enter the business end of the season.

2.) 15 Feb 2024 19:07:28
Fully agree gentlemen.

3.) 15 Feb 2024 19:11:55
One thing is glaringly obvious we need an out and out goal scorer.

4.) 15 Feb 2024 20:49:45
Bottling it, very good from that side. They’re crying out saying wait until we get players back. Like we’ve not had men missing all season.

5.) 15 Feb 2024 22:18:59
sollof its pathetic isn't it? my mate said "aye but your injured players are squad players not main players" ?i question why i befriend any them these days tbh.

14 Feb 2024 18:14:38
I look forward to every Rangers game but tonight has such a poignancy about it. We can lay down a marker and keep our self belief and confidence high and carry that momentum forward.

I hope we grab this opportunity with every fibre we have and get the result needed to deliver a psychological glove.

Nothing beats Ibrox under the lights, give us what we want Bears.

Enjoy lads.

Kidding yourself on if you don’t think it will be a matter of time Bhoy, get the sharks ready ??.

3.) 14 Feb 2024 22:52:23
Rumours Lawell junior is offski, crumbling from within.

04 Feb 2024 16:25:29
A thoroughly enjoyable game yesterday. Lots of positives, much quicker link up play between middle to front. Cantwell especially, doing the simple things very well and thought his play with McCausland for his goal was fantastic.

Silva was eager, willing and displayed some nice touches, as the front three begin to gel and gain experience from each other, it will only get better, he possesses an art we have missed for a long time, could be a real asset at piercing those low blocks, we encounter most games.

Against teams at Ibrox, and away. We should be pressing high, sharp intensity from the off and nullify their game plan within the first 30 mins. Yes, it doesn’t always work out that way, but when it does, it allows us to change personnel and protect players without weakening our game plan. I’m sure a lot of our niggling and ongoing injuries concerns have occurred, simply when players are getting tired and chasing the game into the final minutes.

It’s not rocket science, when you add quality, that things improve. Once players like Diomande and Cortes, get up to speed and if Raskin can find his form, players like, Silva, Dessers, McCausland and Cantwell will undoubtably improve too, with better quality around them.

So many positives to be had moving forward and another 3 points midweek, will boost the confidence all round. I couldn’t care about the noise across the river, we just need to get our heads down and blaze our own trail.

StuMunroloyal

1.) 04 Feb 2024 16:44:41
As you say the quicker link up and intensity was evident, that's how we need to hit every game.
We need to stay tight v Aberdeen mind. A good win there sets us up really nice.
Onward and upward.

2.) 04 Feb 2024 22:31:07
I've seen them all in my time thus far from George Niven, Billy Ritchie et all going forward, and in my opinion, Butland is as good as any others we've had, and we've had a good few great Goal Keepers, it's all about opinions, which is a healthy thing.

30 Jan 2024 11:28:12
Looking like a few in and a few out over the last few days of the window. Hopefully a little better quality coming in and they hit the proverbial ground running.

There’s no doubt the squad over the last months since PC and his backroom staff have came in have been galvanised. The amount of injuries have taken their toll, but we remain in the fight.

Hopefully a renewed focus and energy spreads throughout the team with the new additions. I’m looking forward to pushing on and taking the fight to them.

Lots of positives bears, and thanks to all those taking the time to post good info and the odd curve ball.

Tremendous servant and gave everything when he played, got us out a hole many times, if and when he does go, I would wish him well.

If we keep Kent and Alfie plus those two, successful window John.

I highly doubt this, he was involved in a case with underage minors, although the case was dropped there were text messages that proved him and another player, were involved in it. I hope he is nowhere near our club.

Calmness required as the boss says. If we all knew how football went, we would’ve bet a Jambos and Well double and sailed off into the sunset, with a wedge of cash. I’ve no doubt PC will get them into gear again, especially after todays result and grasp the mantel once again.

Low profile last few weeks John, dipped in and out to read every other day though. As always your info and Coplands is very much appreciated.

Hope all is well ??.

Hopefully under the same rock John. These are very worrying times.

I do not think they crumbled at all Ally. They looked composed in possession and had great passages of play. Our defensive blocks and Butland were key to us winning and holding on for the victory.

We were extremely passive in the first 35 mins. Second half we were much much better.

Old blue eyes. I would consider the last 9 months time enough. Rightly, no one wishes to see any manager lose his job and especially not at our club. However we no longer live in an era of Smith or Souness. Time is given only by the results you deliver and I honestly do not think if MB is given until Christmas that it will change or he is capable of changing it. I will be the first to admit I was wrong if it’s the case, but I am very doubtful.

We had all summer and a long transfer window in which to address, the glaring obvious areas that needed strengthening and it and it never materialised.

There looks to be no spine in the team, still heavily reliant on our wingbacks, who are now 5 years older doing the same type of job they done back then, it just does not compute.

Performances have been abysmal, players played out of position, tactics shocking, recruitment mediocre and the soundbites and result optics, do not look good at all.

It’s with a heavy heart that I say he is not the guy. Not one Ranger supporter wants failure, everyone wants to back the manager and the team and have harmony, between field and terracing. Sunday was a tough watch and tensions boiled over and rightly so.

The board have to be strong, difficult decisions are difficult to make but that’s why they’re in charge.

I feel the time for change is now, wether they’re strong enough to make that decision, I have my doubts.
