Hey Fellow Bears
Given some comprehensive info over the weekend so thought I would share
Davies - Loan (already almost complete)
Matondo - Perm Transfer (3 championship teams have either bid or shown interest)
Cantwell - Perm Transfer (this will be late in the window, this guy is a dirty dog and trying his best to manufacture a free transfer out, club are aware and will only sell if his €6mil price is met) multiple offers and or enquires are in for him, club have told him he will be playing B team football if no club match their valuation
King - Loan SPL
Lowry - Loan SPL
Devine - Loan English league 1
Hagi - He basically needs to take a pay cut to move permanently, no club have offered him same wages, my source feels this may have to be a last min loan as he has told the club he won’t take a pay cut to leave, there is interest from clubs in taking him on loan and paying his wages in full, but no perm similar offer covering all his wages
Dowell - Similar to Hagi, multiple interested clubs, but none matching our fee and or his wages, this may also be a last min loan out
Dessers - Multiple offers, none matching our valuation €6mil not £4.7mil as being reported
Tav - Multiple offers, none matching both our valuation and his wages, and confirming again he has been told he can leave but only at the right price
Been told there is a new bonus structure set in place, comprehensive backing of the new sports science team and data, which is why we are yet to see Imagane, took time to see Cerny and why we are only seeing glimpses of Danilo
Regarding players in
As I’ve mentioned a few times, we are close on an experienced CDM and a younger midfielder
We have multiple options and talks ongoing for an international class (U21 or full) CB
And will replace Matondo if expected he seals his move away before the end of the week
Expect money to be spent, also been told not to be surprised if there is 1/ 2 big money spent on the right profile players in
Looking forward to a busy week.
1.) 26 Aug 2024 05:30:46
Excellent information SydneyGer??.
2.) 26 Aug 2024 05:31:01
The gaffer said the other day. Only people that was not in the weekends squad will be leaving this week.
3.) 26 Aug 2024 06:29:18
Great info mate i'm looking forward to the week ahead to see what transpires.
4.) 26 Aug 2024 06:53:00
Good stuff sydney.
5.) 26 Aug 2024 06:55:40
Yes paul unless one of our main players has an offer in for him that meets or even exceeds our valuation, so everyone effectively for sale at the correct price ?.
6.) 26 Aug 2024 07:07:09
Sydney u get anything on tav wants pay off to compensate losing out on testimonial, circa 600 k.
7.) 26 Aug 2024 07:32:30
Time will tell.
8.) 26 Aug 2024 07:58:14
great info Sydney it shows we have players dictating to club what they
want i get no one wants a pay cut
so that leaves us with players
we may have to play because we ate paying them anyway.
9.) 26 Aug 2024 07:59:31
Nothing really new there most if not all that info has already been posted on here. Problem we have is all these players have been given inflated salaries and nobody is prepared to match our madness.
10.) 26 Aug 2024 07:59:54
I think we'd be better off taking half that for Cantwell so we can get him out of the club. Having guys like that even just playing with the B team will not help us in the long run. Shame as he had ability, but the attitude stinks.
11.) 26 Aug 2024 08:20:17
Not that I am aware of @John, was just told the fee and wages was the big hurdle in getting him moved on.
12.) 26 Aug 2024 08:33:50
I believe we would accept 3. Million for cantwell.
13.) 26 Aug 2024 08:33:54
Decent info Sydney, you're usually pretty sound with your info so hope that all works out.
14.) 26 Aug 2024 08:48:34
John we're desperately trying to reduce wages then why would we increase wages of two players who've only just joined?
15.) 26 Aug 2024 08:49:23
I never want to see Cantwell in a Rangers Jersey again. Good post Sydney.
16.) 26 Aug 2024 09:18:37
That's the post I wanted to see this morning, brilliant Syd.
17.) 26 Aug 2024 09:31:00
Good post and if we get 6m euros for cantwell I'd be amazed, I think a cdm and a no10 are priority if Lawrence gets injured we've no1 to play that 10 role perhaps dio but no1 else. I'd be content going with the ch we have if it meant resources could be used elsewhere and maybe in jan we could look again.
18.) 26 Aug 2024 09:40:28
John think if we get offered 3m for Cantwell it would be better to take it, if we don't it will cost over 1m in wages, so better to cut our loses.
19.) 26 Aug 2024 09:58:14
Looks like Cantwell will go late for not a lot of money if any. The club have broadcast the problem and buyers ain't all daft. Same problem with Lowry and Hagi.
20.) 26 Aug 2024 10:44:53
Thanks for the info, Sydney. I was one that would have welcomed Cantwell back, however some of the reports coming through lately would now make that impossible imo. Just shows nobody knows the full story. If all the reports are true he really is a silly guy. No wonder he can't get the move he wants.
21.) 26 Aug 2024 10:50:57
Sydney Ger, nice journalism there.
My info I'd that nobody has actually placed a bid for Hagi. I'm told his agent was at it trying to drum up interest. They knew the situation with his wages and were informed that he could leave but there were no bids for him.
I heard Tavernier wants to leave, heard nothing regarding bids for him though.
Hearts had a loan offer for King knocked back in pre-season.
Unlikely King will leave now.
22.) 26 Aug 2024 11:04:55
We haven't done too badly this window in terms of players leaving, but more need to go. Hopefully we can see players like Dowell, Tav, Cantwell, Lawrence, Matondo and others go.
23.) 26 Aug 2024 11:10:26
Thanks Sydney, any information is always appreciated.
24.) 26 Aug 2024 11:34:23
Kaiser as both are on less than 10k, and we want to increase length of deal by a year with a years option
Smart business extra 2k a week each.
25.) 26 Aug 2024 11:45:24
Well done. not a SIMGLE one right. Cantwell will go out on loan and Clement said on Saturday that players leaving were not in the squad to face Ross County. Matondo was.
26.) 26 Aug 2024 12:18:25
Good info Sydney.
Players who are contracted to the club will not be dictating how things go and glad that tik tok superstar has been told he will be in the B team unless he doesn't want paid the wee weasel.
Also can people please stop saying that PC stated people who were in the matchday squad won't be leaving, he isn't going to come out and say yes they are away or getting sold. If that was the case and all matchday players weren't being sold then we'd be left with too much deadwood.
27.) 26 Aug 2024 12:28:58
Good info Sydney ?????????.
28.) 26 Aug 2024 12:46:18
Davies deal was confirmed yesterday, there is no way we will be holding out for that amount for Cantwell and is there that much difference between £4.7 million and 6 million euros for Dessers.
29.) 26 Aug 2024 13:18:39
Get reasonably close to the clubs valuation of any player in squad or not, they are under starters orders. and they're off . Only Butland has been implied by the manager he is 'probably' not for sale .
30.) 26 Aug 2024 13:38:19
Cantwell at the madam just get rid and let his next club put up with him.
31.) 26 Aug 2024 13:45:49
Yet PC made clear that those playing at weekend were staying.
32.) 26 Aug 2024 13:59:11
Have you heard of any interest in Andy Irving? Would be just what we need.
33.) 26 Aug 2024 15:21:59
PC might have said anyone playing would not leave but he also said everyone was for sale except Butland at the right price so if anybody thinks if we get a 3 million Bid for Matondo and get his huge wages off the books and we won't accept you are deluded.
34.) 26 Aug 2024 16:51:11
Polaberr yes that's what was said.
35.) 26 Aug 2024 16:52:04
Its going to be a helluva a busy week.
Great info Sydney. Thanks for sharing.
23 Aug 2024 11:49:16
@John u hearing anything about Joan Jordan, heard we are back in for him and that a deal may be close?
1.) 23 Aug 2024 15:40:16
I’m not alo To say Sydney, but ?.
2.) 23 Aug 2024 15:44:08
Sydney iv literally just heard the same thing from a mate who goes every week.
3.) 23 Aug 2024 15:45:42
Just like trabzonspor bid for tav 3 days ago?
4.) 23 Aug 2024 16:57:48
Interesting John is it your source has asked you keep this one to yourself or is it jealous posters have annoyed you?
5.) 23 Aug 2024 17:53:04
G4 posters I was told to go read Spanish papers re him, I’ve kept so much to myself this season.
6.) 23 Aug 2024 18:27:13
Do people still read papers?
7.) 23 Aug 2024 18:31:56
I’ve seen those posts towards you John and others and I don’t blame you one bit from holding back.
8.) 23 Aug 2024 18:40:08
Would be a very good signing.
9.) 23 Aug 2024 21:27:03
Jordan is going to Slaves so you can rule him out. Cheik Niasse is a name I've heard that we are serious about.
10.) 23 Aug 2024 21:41:27
If he turned us down before we should not be going hear him in my view.
11.) 24 Aug 2024 02:32:27
Jordan Would be a great signing imo hopefully we can still pull this one off.
12.) 24 Aug 2024 11:52:51
We need to bring in a midfielder with goals in him like Omri Gandelmann, supposed to be a 6. Cracking first season at Gent and still priced at £3.5mil. Use hagi to lower the price.
13.) 24 Aug 2024 12:05:08
Need to bring in a midfielder with goals in them like Omri Gamdelman. Supposedly a 6, but, can play like a 10. Cracking first season at Gent and valued at £3.5mil. With Hagi to lower the fee.
14.) 24 Aug 2024 12:46:32
John it's a shame that some just can't take this page as rumours and not gospel. There is no certainty in anything anyone posts as deals can go bad at sny point. I actually saw one of your posts from here on a Facebook group lol. Find your information is more reliable than most.
21 Aug 2024 22:12:09
Hey @John2561, you hearing another bid in for Tav? Now in talks?
1.) 21 Aug 2024 22:28:03
@SydneyGer I'm hearing tonight from my source that Trabzonspur back in and put €2m euro bid on the table (Think it's 1.7 million bid being considered) .
2.) 21 Aug 2024 22:47:13
Don’t tease us this best be legit. If someone is willing to buy we need to bite there hand off for it.
3.) 21 Aug 2024 23:01:36
Feels like it's going to be a hectic couple of weeks. I think most folk would have accepted a decent offer for Tav earlier in the window, but I worry we're giving ourselves too much to do it we move on many more starters. If take it if it meant we could get a younger replacement in. But I'm not sure we can trust Sterling to play week in week out as Tav has.
4.) 22 Aug 2024 03:00:51
I would be worried where the goals and penalty conversions going too come from ws all know his defence is poor but the goals he pitchs in with we are going to be left in limbo a bit if he goes, we really need to find a decent replacement, witch will be hard.
5.) 22 Aug 2024 03:29:56
He’s 5 games in and he doesn’t have one yet. Hopefully he will this weekend tho.
6.) 22 Aug 2024 04:08:04
Bludreamer dessers and tav as I can remember both have 73% penalty conversion rates.
7.) 22 Aug 2024 06:37:43
Can’t see it being hectic they will buy nobody again the white flags flying again fans ripped off again ?.
8.) 22 Aug 2024 07:01:56
Bluedreamer - We won 9 in a row with full backs who only popped in with the odd goal- and also league titles after that with defensive full backs in place - defenders need to defend first and foremost - Tav has been good servant but the time is now for him to move on and our club then to move on??.
9.) 22 Aug 2024 07:15:21
would`nt want to lose him for 1.7m this late in window I don't think?
2.5m take it?
10.) 22 Aug 2024 07:56:57
Blue dreamer 5 league goals out with penalties last season I think we'll manage. I'm sure three of those were free kicks . He must take At least 1-2 direct free kicks a game so that return is poor let someone else have a go . After cerny scored against Motherwell he was ready to take a free kick and Tav walked over and sent him away. You'd need to be a detective to find the last time tavernier went past a man his goals and assists got him off the hook before but he now brings nothing to the table but mistakes. .
11.) 22 Aug 2024 08:06:33
We won 9 in a row with brian Laudrup and gazza not scott wright or tom lawrence.
Full backs won't lose us a title, a terrible forward line and 0 attacking midfielders will.
12.) 22 Aug 2024 08:08:07
Would be very happy with 1.7m for Tavernier, actually happy with anything as long as he is not our rb this season.
13.) 22 Aug 2024 08:23:19
Sydney yes, tav wanted significant pay off re testimonial we said no, so all went quite
1.7woud. Be a good price added to his three million in wages.
14.) 22 Aug 2024 08:24:53
RDB Since the 9 in a row . 8 Premier league title won - only one with Tavs present (2020) also no Gascoigne or Laudrup then too - and fullbacks were not free scoring during those 7 so how did we manage before Tavs then I ask?
15.) 22 Aug 2024 08:31:13
Take the offer.
Tav has bene a good servant, won a few things here and there. Good luck to him.
The penalties can be taking by most players on the team, let's be honest.
His freekicks were great but haven't seen decent one in a while and his crossing/ passing has been very poor for a while.
And the main thing is he cannot defend.
16.) 22 Aug 2024 08:34:50
As long as we sign a good enough replacement. Sterling can't be relied upon. Careful what you wish for this late into the window.
17.) 22 Aug 2024 08:37:05
While I accept that Tav has run his race, we can’t wait til Jim White turns up with a yellow tie to bring players in. Certainly not based on our most recent philosophy with players who are not match fit for 6 weeks, ‘ones for the future’ ‘guys who don’t yet get the story’, have work permit issues, ore come without being match fit. Our first game after TW closes is likely to be a title decider even at this early stage.
18.) 22 Aug 2024 08:52:00
Celtic full backs don’t score many goals and they win the league tho they get goals from wingers and midfielders also as there strikers never had an outstanding year last season.
19.) 22 Aug 2024 09:44:40
I would accept 1.7m for Tav and play King or Sterling RB. Do we honestly think only Tav can score penalties. Stand in front of those nets. you shouldn't really miss. Tav has been a great bargain servant but it's time to go.
20.) 22 Aug 2024 10:00:25
Don't think we need a witch yet . do we?
21.) 22 Aug 2024 10:02:38
35k off the wage bill, yes please. Like Goldson his time is up. Dujon will do far better defensively in the position! Dessers can take penalties and be a 30 goal a season striker - probably still be slated by some!
22.) 22 Aug 2024 10:46:39
WATP
See if dessers score winner against Celtic in his 1st game and only got 15 goals in a season he would be lauded by some fans. Some fans still love katic for that very reason.
23.) 22 Aug 2024 11:03:47
RDB1, we can't even win an old firm game with said fullback.
24.) 22 Aug 2024 12:02:20
We haven't won a game against celtic since our 3-0 win way back in May 2023 under Beale.
Scorers Sakala, Cantwell, Souttar.
Most of that team are gone, either left on free's, or sold.
We played 4312, Sakala and Matondo were the 2 Strikers that day, yup 2 wingers, totally outplayed celtics midfield that day, Lundstram Raskin Jack V Hatate Mcregor O'reilly, Mcrorie in goal his secodn game against celtic and anpther clean sheet.
25.) 22 Aug 2024 12:05:22
Stromtrooper1 so those same fans must love Kent as well? he scored some crackers against celtic.
26.) 22 Aug 2024 12:59:00
To all those people that are quoting previous Rangers title winners and the other mob as teams who have the won the league without goals from the full backs and asked why can`t we, its dead simple, look at our team . We don`t have goals from midfield or many from out wide and Dessers is hit and miss. If Tav goes then who takes up the slack not just with goals but with assists too . The point someone said that he has not scored in 5 games so far is correct but we are struggling for goals because only Dessers is scoring and is a view of what's to come. Competitively this season we are 0, 1, 2,0,2 which is dreadful.
27.) 22 Aug 2024 13:30:49
Dessers score the winner against celtic. C'mon man let's be serious for a minute?.
28.) 22 Aug 2024 15:57:19
All good an well saying we’ve had Tav’s best years and its time to move on….
Whos taking the set pieces? The only player left that strikes a dead ball decently is rotting in the B-team due to appearance related contract clauses. (unless Cerny’s capable? )
Sure Tav going might make us 5m now in saved wages and transfer fees…. But you can kiss goodbye to any europa run and probably a crack at the champs league qualifiers next year. We’ll lose a lot more than 5m missing out on that.
29.) 22 Aug 2024 15:59:48
They may well do laudrup hagi as plenty want him back and I don’t want him near ibrox.
30.) 22 Aug 2024 16:01:34
WSL - You have hit nail on head - why can't we create from mid or or score more? - simply because we RELY on a full back who will soon need a zimmer to play or a taxi to return to his rightful position when he bombs up park - our team will never move on or adapt if we keep looking to the right back to bail us out week in week out - you are correct we need creativity from midfield and SEVERAL good goalscorers up front too but that is no excuse to stick with a right back who has served us well but his time now is more than done here I feel. I applaud Tavs for his service and numbers over the years - but what have we really won under his captaincy - VERY LITTLE? Time for the broom to sweep clean.
31.) 22 Aug 2024 16:49:02
Calling all Shankland lovers watch him fall on his arse tonight, 3rd game on the trot couldn't hit a bison on the bum with a banjo, Dessers like Pele in comparison . (Btw he was a Brazilian player for those young kids)
17 Aug 2024 03:56:40
Hey fellow Gers
Busy couple of weeks ahead, been told there will be 3-5 high earners out before the window closes
Alos ensured we are still in the hunt for an experienced CDM along with another midfielder with development value
Also given insight as to the James Bisgrove departure, in that he walked before he was pushed
The real costs as to future added income in the current stadium redevelopment vs revenue lost and costs to redevelop, which differ greatly as to the figures put to the board of directors
Along with the current high earner wage bill, all signed off during his tenure
Interesting insight so thought I would share.
1.) 17 Aug 2024 07:30:13
Thanks Sydney ☺️
I honestly think this is going too be a really long hard season all round, until there's massive changes at board and team level we will continue too suffer
We have became a laughing stock
Hiring ex celts
To stadium nonsence
Player contracts too in fighting
We will never progress with tav as captain
Any body can see that
We are now a mediocre team not to be feared dropping silly points and even sillier goals
It pains me too watch we will continue too crumble until the poison within the board changes
And players like tav
Souter
Davies
Cantwell go it's just not good enough.
2.) 17 Aug 2024 07:47:34
Rice should be around the first team now he shown he could be a player for the future.
3.) 17 Aug 2024 07:55:05
Issue is, nobody seems to want any of our high earners.
4.) 17 Aug 2024 08:13:36
Blue dreamer, we dropped 2 points away at hearts who will finish third. Silly points? Toughest away game we could’ve had except them.
5.) 17 Aug 2024 08:26:28
High earns with mediocre ability's.
Tav is a spent.
shooshburger and Hagi think there both bigger fish than they think, seems no club is interested.
6.) 17 Aug 2024 08:33:24
I said at the time bisgrove walked before he was pushed.
7.) 17 Aug 2024 08:43:28
Pc only said yesterday we won't sign players until others leave. He can't hold a gun to there head as he said.
8.) 17 Aug 2024 08:56:39
Interesting, seems bisgrove landed on his feet very quickly then.
9.) 17 Aug 2024 09:03:22
I said the same about Bisgrove at the time but was told he went for the big money
I don’t get very much info at all these days but I was told he left before the ? hit the fan and and was working his ticket out the door before it all kicked off
He’s now sitting pretty that’s for sure!
10.) 17 Aug 2024 09:05:13
I don’t think anyone will leave now and we will be stuck with what we have. Unfortunately, I hope you are right Sydney. Just can’t see it.
11.) 17 Aug 2024 09:16:15
Didn't hear his say that Paul, heard him say we will not sign another lb because other positions are needed, he's not going to tell us in that interview anyway.
12.) 17 Aug 2024 09:23:55
They way I read that is the CEO position has cost us whether that be remnants of the Robertson tenure and Bisgrove continuing with the incompetence.
13.) 17 Aug 2024 10:16:09
Also starting to sound like pedro waffling on about watching man u class of 99 ?. Sydney what's the script with last 2 rumours? Are the 15 players in out and 30 mill spent still happening?
14.) 17 Aug 2024 11:03:30
Board and manager singing from same hymn sheet, now that's just lovely . costly but lovely.
How many at the 2nd home the day let's have a sweep I say 21,000 I'm working and I think another 30,000 are as well.
I hope speccy's glesses steam up guy's a plank.
15.) 17 Aug 2024 11:07:43
Mind those 125 Monaco fans rerring up near the end of Phils time, one of them chucked their 5 course dinner at him .
I think he will be ok if he starts telling the truth and no backing the board of grifters.
16.) 17 Aug 2024 11:36:33
A little optimism doesn’t hurt, but the manager and his decision making is losing the fans backing, proper upfront as we lost that second goal, Tav backed, but is poor, his hatred of flair players, but Lawrence plays!
Danilo walks with a limp, then the bizarre rant about man unto, he is losing his main backing, . the fans.
17.) 17 Aug 2024 13:02:22
This forum makes me laugh at times.
You have to earn the fans backing which PC clearly needs time and his own players to do.
Unfortunately though with it seems some of our fan base Gio should have earned plenty backing but was given none.
18.) 17 Aug 2024 13:07:20
No he's not.
19.) 17 Aug 2024 13:30:13
Fraser yes Rice will get some time this season the lad will be top notch fairly soon .
20.) 17 Aug 2024 13:32:27
This is horrendous some of the comments dex are you trying to blame the manager for Danilo limp?
Hatred of flair players Why because cantwell wants to leave because he wouldn’t do as the manager told him.
21.) 17 Aug 2024 13:38:20
Which 5 high earners? Who is left that we would call high earners, Tavernier, Cantwell, Hagi and who else? Matondo and Lawrence maybe (and hopefully) . Take those 5 out of the squad and we barely have a squad . We couldn`t get them out and a couple of replacements in, in two weeks . As for the stadium redevelopment, don`t think it was done to increase revenue, it was done to improve facilities for the disabled and I don`t think we would have done it at all if we had financial worries. The implication in this post is that Bisgrove lied about the cost to the board, but wouldn`t the financial director be as involved as the CEO?
22.) 17 Aug 2024 13:47:00
The boards marketing plan for Cantwell hair ribbons and cosmetics etc has fallen on it's arse somewhat .
23.) 17 Aug 2024 13:50:26
Ibrox talking points previously last season, season b4 that,
N we begin with a draw
So yeah silly points we should be beating hearts we are rangers is accepting this just not good enough from players we shoud be putting these teams to the sword accepting draws now good enough
Our standards have slipped way under parr.
24.) 17 Aug 2024 16:10:52
To be fair to Clement Danilo 100% walks like he’s in agony all the time ?.
25.) 17 Aug 2024 16:51:16
Yes like Falkirk and Dundee we should be beating Hearts and nasal whiney naisnith.
26.) 17 Aug 2024 16:51:30
Any video of danilo, injured or not, shows him walking like this.
The man utd comment pc made is getting at the fact that just because one results hasn't gone to plan doesn't mean it can't be a successful season. There season started with bad results and they ended up winning the champs league, fa Cup and the league.
I don't think that's on a par with pedro talking about caravans and wolves.
27.) 17 Aug 2024 17:20:16
Personally, even if we do see any outgoings in the next two weeks, I don't see us making any overly exciting new signings. If I would wish for one then it would probably like Sima, and I can still see that happening as a loan, if no one else come in for him and it would be a bonus if we secured a quality experienced attacking midfield player.
Worryingly I don't see Hagi being sold and I do wonder if we will be able to offload Cantwell. I also fear that Tav will fail to recover the scoring form of last season, he appears to have lost a few yards in pace. Lets see what happens tonight!
28.) 18 Aug 2024 02:57:05
Danilos normal walk looks like he limps no wonder him and pc having a good laugh about it.
09 Aug 2024 01:53:43
Hey fellow Bears, wanted to reaffirm some things I was previously made aware of a and a couple of other pieces of info I was given last night, same very reliable source
Hagi, Dowell, Tav, Davies were all told they were free to find another club, but only if their valuations were met
This is what we are seeing now, those players have offers from clubs, just none where they meet our valuation
Cantwell, was never one of those players but has since handed in a transfer request and will only be sold if an offer somewhere close to his valuation is met €6mil
Lowry, King, Devine were given pre season to impress, looks like they all haven’t, Kings wages will be an issue to shift so most likely a loan for him
Source said, a straight loan will not be considered as a player leaving, would need to be a loan and obligation to buy, this way we know we won’t be left with their wages come the start of next season
Told we are still in the market and have the money for the right players in CM, one experienced one for development
Outwidth those players, all players have a valuation and will be sold on a one in one on basis, but only if we receive the right offer and have an alternate player lined up
Told champs league money will not mean we will up our transfer budget, squad size is still an issue
Also told Imagine, will be a big part of the team this year and expected to kick on once he settles into the team and Scotland, internally they have been really impressed by him to date
Just passing what I’ve heard on Guys.
1.) 09 Aug 2024 01:59:57
Great info Sydney. ?.
2.) 09 Aug 2024 06:07:00
Sydney any idea if we will go back for sima, I think he's a big miss in our team.
3.) 09 Aug 2024 06:27:09
I'd take any offer for Dowell and Davies to get them out the door.
4.) 09 Aug 2024 06:34:21
Cheers Sydney.
5.) 09 Aug 2024 06:59:14
Risky business if we don’t get bids for these players now, esp Tav.
6.) 09 Aug 2024 07:04:46
Good info man. Hopefully a new 10 incoming or Dio moved there.
7.) 09 Aug 2024 08:02:12
I'd look to sell players below their market value, just to get them off the books. We still need at least 3 players to leave this window.
8.) 09 Aug 2024 09:02:57
Good info. I'm just a little concerned that our transfer work seems to have stalled of late. Hope we don't leave it all last minute I'm hope of a bargain and miss out on improving.
9.) 09 Aug 2024 09:17:53
Good info mate. Thanks for sharing.
10.) 09 Aug 2024 09:47:21
Cheers Sydney.
John have you anything to share?
11.) 09 Aug 2024 10:01:33
All good info.
What is encouraging is that there have been offers for the majority, if not at the required levels to date. For me if we can get the ‘right’ money for say Cantwell/ Hagi, we may then be in a better position to take lesser offers to shift the likes of Davies and Tav (who have hefty wages). An element of balance.
Also, sense in Midfield where we are looking at an experienced starter and a project/ starter (depending on level) . As many have said once PL squads are set there will be a number of available ‘projects’ and disillusioned senior players (who know their time is up), that may also not command fees their clubs possibly seek right now.
For us, get through Kiev tie, hope FC Twente manage to win their game (not because I think they are easy but on highlights they looked inferior to Salzburg), shift the high earners and I think we’ll be able to get some real gems in by month end. because I think we will see little arrivals until end of Aug.
12.) 09 Aug 2024 10:13:51
Just read that we are considering offering to cancel the last year of Hagi's contract to get rid of him.
13.) 09 Aug 2024 10:16:56
Davies is adamant he will not leave!
14.) 09 Aug 2024 11:23:49
Does anyone know if lovelace is in the managers plans. Thought he was meant to be this season but neither seen or heard of him being involved with the 1st team so far.
Or is he injured again?
15.) 09 Aug 2024 11:39:30
This doesn’t stick for me sorry Sydney.
If it is we are in a bigger mess than I had hoped and we manage players worse than I had hoped.
You are suggesting that along with the 5 who left at start that another 4 were told one of which the club Capt. Yet our trading in does not match what’s left or available to leave.
It’s an utter shambles in management. Whether you rate the players or not, this is an embarrassing state of affairs, Cspt Vice Capt. experienced players all told and or able to leave at the same time! Now some don’t want to or aren’t.
What a fricken mess.
Despite my ramblings, the Euro game provided much hope, but we have an incredibly weak bench as it currently stands. Our injuries will no doubt have a say.
16.) 09 Aug 2024 11:53:29
Lovelace is injured at the moment but due back soon hopefully.
17.) 09 Aug 2024 12:08:20
Verdant he was training before the euro tie. Maybe just getting upto speed slowly.
18.) 09 Aug 2024 12:12:23
Cheers for the info Sydney ?????????.
19.) 09 Aug 2024 12:18:13
That’s a strange one considering the manager has said that getting the champions league cash would make a difference to his transfer budget. I believe if they do not up the transfer kitty due to getting into the groups of the champions league that will make us over £40million the manager has ever right to walk out the club.
20.) 09 Aug 2024 13:12:56
Would we really tell players that they aren`t wanted when we know we will have to play them until they go, if they go . That seems a sure fire way to kill moral, to me . We are saying we don`t want you but go and knock your pan in for 90 minutes while you are here. Doesn`t make sense to me. As far the Hagi being freed rumour that was a suggestion by dickhead McManus which was picked up by foreign news agency and then, in true Chinese whispers style, has come back to Scotland as something we are considering . Again, makes no sense.
21.) 09 Aug 2024 13:20:27
Hoofball McInnes might fancy a couple of them, anyway they are now gubbed in Europe so expect a player to Rangers shortly . who will it be?
22.) 09 Aug 2024 13:34:04
In the main lying low storm, fed up with the stick,
23.) 09 Aug 2024 13:47:27
John, who cares what other people say, lots of people like myself never get any info, so it’s appreciated when it’s people like yourself who post it.
Same with CoplandFront5, hopefully he comes back soon.
24.) 09 Aug 2024 15:27:35
Chas I some think Copland in Saudi, I’m not so sure
I loved his posts.
25.) 09 Aug 2024 15:42:21
John look I know we've butted heads a few times and I thought your response of my breaking sakala stuff was wrong but I still have a lot of respect for your info and your knowledge of youth team has been second to none on here.
We all take stick here it's the nature of the beast passion runs high when it's our team.
26.) 09 Aug 2024 15:44:37
Chasni I agree also think copland was by far the most reliable poster.
27.) 09 Aug 2024 15:47:31
Can't see tav being told he can leave but remaining captain doesn't sound right
Starting to think that rumour of players chucking it when told not wanted for next season was true
Hope not cause it would be so amateur to risk derailing title just to give player the advanced warning.
28.) 09 Aug 2024 17:07:05
Rfc I actually like your post also respect your right to have your opinion.
29.) 10 Aug 2024 12:30:03
Thanks John hope you stick around.
30.) 11 Aug 2024 05:26:41
GDog10
As mentioned just passing on what I’ve heard first hand from a really reliable source given evidence to date through this window, I’ve seen a long list via a what’s app message of the players asked to find other clubs at some point towards the end of of last season
Agree in that maybe in leaving this til after the season finished it may have benefited everyone
Tav (yes our captains been playing knowing the club will listen to offers for him)
Goldson
Davies
Yefeko
Lammers
Hagi
Dowell
Cifuentes
Along with the players out of contract
Jack
Lundstram
Barisic
McGlaughin
Roofe
All told there deals wouldn't be renewed
Players on loan, returned to their clubs
Silva
Sima
Transfer request and player who wasn’t asked to find another club
Cantwell
Players given pre season to impress but haven’t
King
Lowry
Devine
All since been told they can go
So when the manager talks about a full rebuild, u can now see what he is alluding to
I believe this list above to be on point, Hope this helps.
SydneyGer's banter posts with other poster's replies to SydneyGer's banter posts
30 Aug 2024 23:50:53
Have to say I feel we come out this window stronger than we went into it
What a job Kloppen and PC have done on an extremely tight budget
Shocking to see so many players (16) leave with barely any transfer fees coming back in this has really limited the players we wanted to bring in
Think we can all see now what Jon Bennet alluded to when he mentioned the “mythical”player trading model
We now have a much younger average aged squad, shaved £9mil off the wage bill, traded players with no sell on value for players we can develop and build value in to as well as added quality players in key areas (the spine of the team)
Really like the look of Kasanwijro, we really needed a defender with real recovery pace, we’ve really needed that for years IMO.
1.) 31 Aug 2024 00:02:20
Just wondering Sydney that with the Dutch guy being able to play across the back four could we still be open to losing one of our fullbacks to a Turkish club as I don’t think their window is closed yet. I don’t know if we have the numbers to lose anyone right enough.
2.) 31 Aug 2024 00:07:18
Good post SydneyGer I'm the same thinking as yourself mate.
We did everything we possibly could to trim wage bill and move on those not required. Some turnaround of players.
The lad from Holland is well known to Nils and I really like the look of Bajrami who comes with a glowing endorsement from Sergio Porrini who worked with him with the Albanian national side, so looks like good business added to the players we already brought in during preseason and earlier in the window.
Very well played considering the financial constraints ?.
3.) 31 Aug 2024 00:25:02
They’ve only done a good job if the players are good enough. Far too early to say that.
4.) 31 Aug 2024 07:16:26
I agree with u Sydney. Days off wholesale players moving on for nothing should be over under clement.
25 Aug 2022 12:08:05
Great result last night
Watched through my fingers the last half an hour
Expect a busy last week of the window
Predicting 3 players to come in with all the Ks going the other way
Kent, Kamara, Katic, Kelly
Although Kent is our best player on his day feel there’s been something stopping him signing a new contract
Maybe he has been waiting to see what offers came in this window
Seems to be strong interest again from Leeds, now may be the time to sell rather than lose him for naught next summer.
1.) 25 Aug 2022 13:02:45
Kamara must stay in my eyes I've always admired his ability to take the ball in under pressure and pass it to one of his teammates, Tillman did exactly the same, shout out to sands as well its amazing what a bit of a run does for a players confidence, I want real madrid liverpool and Dortmund no team will want us, we are the best team in pot 4.
2.) 25 Aug 2022 13:36:52
Glen Kamara is a fantastic football player and it would be a big mistake to sell him unless he wants to leave of course.
3.) 25 aug 2022 15:41:50
love kamara, pure quality
kent will probably sign now, but, if i’m honest, i think he’s done all he can do here
waiting months for a good game is very draining and frustrating, most defenders here have him sussed, often when that happens to a winger it’s not going to change, new pastures would be great for him
on my my opinion.
16 Jul 2022 05:57:51
If Bassey leaves reckon we need a centre back and a left back
Disappointed we didn’t go for Doig while we had the chance
Keen to see who we have identified to challenge Barasic
Would be happy with Reichardly Bazoer who we have an offer in for as he can also play as a holding CM
If we can move Katic and Simpson I feel it will be one out one in from then on if Roofe, Kent, Sakala, Kamara or Sakala were to leave at any point this window
Sneaky feeling either Roofe or Sakal will go and well we will replace with a Marquee signing.
1.) 16 Jul 2022 06:48:29
Josh tymon and leidner are better left backs than doig if we do indeed sell bassey ?.
2.) 16 Jul 2022 07:17:34
Hibs wanted daft money from is for doig.
3.) 16 Jul 2022 09:07:09
Orange 3 million for doig, not a great season imo, good luck to him, but not for us.
4.) 16 Jul 2022 09:11:54
There's a young man we signed from Leicester City who looks a unit just like Bassey, and he can play Left Back, sorry, I forget his name, but John will know who I'm referring to.
5.) 16 Jul 2022 10:09:34
Jonny Yfeko is the lad, irvger.
6.) 16 Jul 2022 10:49:44
Irvger. 1872 correct. Yfeko has massive potential.
7.) 16 Jul 2022 23:48:59
Thank you guys, I saw his picture and thought, he could maybe do the job at Left Back along with Borna, and save us a few quid, I'll leave Gio to decide on that one.
02 Jul 2022 02:49:18
Changing the tone, and being a little more positive
Gonna back up my previous predictions and post on here in terms of incomings and out goings transfers, fees and new contracts
In
1 x Defender
2 x Midfielders (would love Billy Gilmour loan/ John Fleck permanent transfer/ Ramsay 1 yr deal)
1 x Striker (Colak)
2 x Wingers (Diallo loan)
Total spend = £20 mil
Out
Katic
Simpson
Aribo
Kamara (late in transfer window)
Bassey (late in transfer window)
Total = £53 mil
New contracts
Kent
Morelos
Helander
Current sentiment, might lead everyone to disagree, but I am genuinely positive about this window and what our squad will look like going into the new season
We’v cleared a lot of the dead wood and really started to invest in our youth system.
1.) 02 Jul 2022 07:16:23
I back stuart mccall's comments this morning that ryan kent must be kept at all costs ?Mccall states he'll be the most difficult to replace ?
We must push the boat out to do everything in our power to get kent and morelos to sign new deals ?I personally think aribo will be sold and from these 3 if we're to sell one of them, it would be aribo for me who imo would be the easiest to replace ?.
2.) 02 Jul 2022 07:32:30
Players want to progress in the game Walter. These guys might not want another 3 seasons in the spfl.
3.) 02 Jul 2022 07:59:51
I think there's a good chance Kent will stay as he won't get the offers he'd like. He just not premier league class. He's done great in Europe and shines sometimes in league but is just too inconsistent. This is his level and even then he needs to seriously improve his goal record. Morelos is the one I'd push the boat out for.
4.) 02 Jul 2022 08:41:32
Sweep1,if they sign extensions they don't necessarily need to stay the duration mate that's not what i'm meaning ?If we can strike a deal to get them to extend with break clauses inserted into any new deal they sign, it would get our club more money ?It could suit both parties signing an extension and has to for them to sign it, that's what i'm meaning my friend ?.
5.) 02 Jul 2022 09:36:33
Agree coops. Long term deals are ideal to ensure we get a fair price when they do go ?.
6.) 02 Jul 2022 09:52:56
Kent has a very good deal on the table for over a year, gathering dust.
08 Jun 2022 02:59:59
Lowry officially added to the mens team list for season 22/ 23
Well done young man, I think we will see him in at least 20-25 games this season,
Noting as well Ramsay/ Amad are still in there, I think they will both be back next season
The team lists are updated based on contract updates only.
1.) 08 Jun 2022 08:33:36
I would be very surprised if either were here next season. Ramsey or diallo cannot go down as a sucessful loan spell.
2.) 08 Jun 2022 08:46:30
Kent aribo etc will be on the list for 22/ 23 but if sold they will be removed the same as ramsay and diallo will be probarly when they officialy leave at the end of the month.
3.) 08 Jun 2022 09:05:58
Intr Diallo and Ramsey contracts ended 31/ 5.
4.) 08 Jun 2022 17:09:23
Dont want either back. Prefer Lowry to Diallo and Ramsey will want mega bucks to sign. Too injury prone.
01 Sep 2024 23:14:07
Hearing it could be Dessers John.
01 Sep 2024 23:13:14
Hoping it was to discuss the continual use of a player not good enough to play for this great club never mind captain it
How many times does someone need to have a shocker against your biggest rivals for someone to then see those flaws
Cannot believe we did not go with Balogun at RB.
26 Aug 2024 08:20:17
Not that I am aware of @John, was just told the fee and wages was the big hurdle in getting him moved on.
23 Aug 2024 08:33:15
This may mean we have offers in for Davies and or King
If there is, hoping Davies takes that offer this time.
22 Aug 2024 11:13:14
Great news @John, had heard we were looking for €6mil minimum, £7mil would be amazing.
12 Aug 2022 09:01:57
Although disappointing for Scottish football
Couldn’t have been happier to see them totally embarrassed
A lot happened in 2012 but will never forget how hard Dundee UTD put the boot in.
30 Jul 2022 23:29:02
Starting to worry bout the obsession with Tav SWOBE
Yes he is a good player, but 11 players on the field make a team mate, he is a part of that 11
Yes u have stuck up for the lad, like a lot of others as well.
24 Jul 2022 07:49:30
Very under rated, his stats are incredible
Speaks well, good with other players and leads by example, stopped 10 in a row and led us to a European final
Class player, but not yet a legend in my opinion sir Walter
However I do feel he will get to that legendary status with this group of players and manager by the time that testimonial comes around.
23 Jul 2022 06:57:04
Aribo was played at Striker over Sakala last season
Roofe is currently and constantly injured and may be offski
Tillman is an AM/ 10
We definitely need another striker, in my opinion even if Morelos stays.
23 Jul 2022 03:32:07
Would disagree the point regarding Morelos leaving and then needing a starting striker
Irrelevant to Colak doing being given a chance, doing well from the get go
Players need competition to get the best out of them
Colak may be the answer if Buff goes, but stick a good, young hungry striker who is good enough to get in the first team on the bench and I am sure Colak will do even better as he would be fighting every week for his spot
Same with Barasic, he can’t afford the same dips in form as past seasons, the minute he does he has a young hungry international quality player breathing down his neck for a game
We now have quality competition for places all over the park
The Bassey money allowed us to go out and get players before players left
Those players now not good enough and surplus to requirements, can now see there is no path to getting a game any time soon
And hopefully see that and be more open to leaving.
