Thought I would post this. My source is another one of these my grannies pal, said lol. Anyway a friend told me that he knows someone who works for first assess sports and he was told that we have opened dialog with Hibs over Josh Diog. The deal is that we sign him for 1.5 mill and he remains at hibs for next season on loan. Also Katic/ Edmundson loan being mentioned as part of the deal.

The wee blueguy

1.) 13 Apr 2021 19:46:15
That would be a great deal all round if that were to happen as katic is going to need game time.

2.) 13 Apr 2021 19:54:43
Hibs knocked back 2 million for doig in last transfer window. i'm not doubting the rumour and hope it's TRUE as I think he's a step up from bassey.

3.) 13 Apr 2021 19:54:52
I would rather give Maxwell a chance tbh than spend money on a lb we don't need.

4.) 13 Apr 2021 20:49:31
Here we go not sure how we don't need him? He looks class. Better than bassey and borna approaching 30. Supper ally and staff failed to notice andy robertson when we played v queens park 4 times a season. would hate to see ut happen again.

5.) 13 Apr 2021 20:55:29
Correct Paul

DD who offered Hibs 2 million?

6.) 13 Apr 2021 21:41:10
Listen to SG and the way he was talking up diog and Patterson. I think this one could be a goer, but hey time will tell. Would love it to happen as I think both diog and Patterson would be our full back for the next 5 years and would go on to make our club 10s of millions.

7.) 13 Apr 2021 22:31:11
Kja9 I can remember who. surfeit was a championship club. sure Google will know tho.

8.) 13 Apr 2021 22:42:36
It is also a certainty Celtic will go for him they will need a lb if They do not sign laxalt a would pay 2 million loan him back for 6 months see how it goes.

9.) 14 Apr 2021 00:34:42
doig is a good prospect but no better than what is at rangers.

10.) 14 Apr 2021 03:14:22
Maxwell keeps him out of the unders for Scotland. Why spend 2m or 3m on a back up lb when we could give our own young player a chance to be around the squad.

11.) 14 Apr 2021 07:58:23
Seen Maxwell a few times this year, been impressed by him.

12.) 14 Apr 2021 08:37:01
I like josh doig, he's a really good young left back but i also agree so is our own young left back james maxwell, who's currently on loan at queen of the south 🤔Its one of those ones i suppose 🤔.

13.) 14 Apr 2021 11:15:56
Somebody hit the nail on the head. Maxwell keeping Doig out the unders team. Says it all really. I've only heard good things about young Maxwell and hope he has the same impact as Patterson. Obviously minus the CV breach!

Regarding the ESL. Imo it's all bluster that's been manufactured in order to force Eufa hand in changing the current format of the CL in a way that the so called bigger clubs get more money. Regarding the players, Look at the likes of messi, Ronaldo ect. They love playing for the national teams, world cups ect. Most other high level players are the same. There is no way that they would remain at a club that would not allow them to play for their national teams.

The wee blueguy

1.) 20 Apr 2021 14:29:28
Certainly not bluster mate but I think, after reading today’s news, the government will step in and make it impossible, probably by creating new legislation that will stop it in its track

They may change or introduce new laws, imo, that will protect the epl, and the uk football system

I hope they do, these owners have alienated the clubs they own, but the fans are totally innocent of any wrongdoing, as are the players, bit like rangers 10 years ago

But that won’t stop these clubs being hounded for some time

I hope they put a stop to it, but they may have already signed up to legally binding contracts, who knows what this is going to bring.

2.) 20 Apr 2021 14:33:26
That’s re the English clubs of course

But they might just stop these other clubs from entering the uk.

3.) 20 Apr 2021 14:41:45
Uefa just announced a change to the champs league format yesterday so I don’t think it’s to push there hand.

4.) 20 Apr 2021 14:54:33
Blue, money is everything mate
Cash is King

The players you talk about are money mad, it’s the football culture now, not playing for Nothing and risking a life of luxury for the family, breaking your leg playing against Luxembourg or Malta

Sad as it is, it will definitely not be anything about playing for the national team, no matter what they say

One thing that might just stop it is if someone galvanised the players to rebellion and they hammer home the hatred and total exclusion from the nations they play in for the people who ultimately pay for them to live life of luxury.

Hey buzz back to the drawing board again. We had 5 or 6 years of your dribble re admin 2. Still waiting.

Then we have all the refs are against your mob. One of the softest pens I've seen. Again wrong.

Keep up the good work, your doing a fine job. Deflecting how bad your team is.

Boohoo aye bit your not Rangers anymore.

Three of our young bears currently on bbc Scotland for QOS vs Hibs. Will be good to see if they can step up against hibs.

Here is a wee question for all you bears. Do we all think that McLaughlin has been told he will get the Scottish cup games and if so, does that mean he will play against Celtic. Or do you think that Shagger will be brought back in for that one.

I think this is a very difficult one for SG because if he brings in shagger. Does that send the message to McLaughlin that he doesn't trust him against Celtic.

Personally I would give the groves to shagger for that one and tell McLaughlin if we get to the final he gets that one.
Thoughts guys.

The wee blueguy

1.) 05 Apr 2021 09:56:30
Best team plays against Celtic.

2.) 05 Apr 2021 09:59:55
If McLaughlin is going to be our keeper in 2 years then he needs to play. remember he was brilliant at the start of the season. Personaly I'd be giving McGregor rest of the season off.

3.) 05 Apr 2021 10:02:32
Greegs is still easily our best keeper so this is very easy for me mate, allan mcgregor plays for me 👍🇬🇧.

4.) 05 Apr 2021 10:17:23
I'd play McLaughlin in the remaining Scottish Cup games (hopefully all the way to winning it) . He is a very good keeper. McGregor has been great for us again this season but deserves a rest. We should be good enough to beat Celtic on the day regardless of who is in goal, as long as our other players turn up. The way he has started his Rangers career, Wright should be in the starting XI for the Old Firm game too.

5.) 05 Apr 2021 10:29:12
The boy needs game time. If he is good enough to be no2 to shagger then he is good enough for me. Havn't seen him really put a foot wrong so I would trust him between the sticks.

6.) 05 Apr 2021 10:33:27
I'd play McLaughlin in some of the league games now but the Cup is the priority and shagger starts for me 100%. We haven't win the Scottish Cup in years and it shouldn't be taken lightly.

7.) 05 Apr 2021 10:59:45
We need to play our strongest team against them, and that means McGregor starts. The league is in the bag, so give McLaughlin game time in some of the remaining games.

8.) 05 Apr 2021 11:00:53
It is a tough call
But to be honest McLaughlin has done nothing to suggest he can’t be trusted he’s been great anytime he’s been called on
As much as I’m a massive mcgreggor fan
If McLaughlin is getting the cup games then I think he should play the game against Celtic
But I’m sure Gerrard will make the correct call either way hopefully in a way it doesn’t offend either player.

9.) 05 Apr 2021 11:10:21
We play our best team possible and that’s McGregor in goals when he is fit.

10.) 05 Apr 2021 11:24:44
With respect stig, this isn't a tough call. McGregor is the best goalkeeper in Scotland by a country mile, and If he's fit, he plays. This is Celtic in the cup we're talking about, not some first division, part-time mob! If McLaughlin doesn't like it, too bad!

11.) 05 Apr 2021 11:34:02
Regarding the original post
If McLaughlin is getting cup games then it would be a tough call to drop him if he’s done nothing wrong which he hasn’t
I firmly believe McLaughlin is good enough to play against Celtic and I fir, ly believe he would play well and players on the park would trust him as much as they would trust mcgreggor
Just my opinion bud I’m all for giving folk chances especially when they haven’t done anything wrong and he’s been apart of our clean sheets when he’s been in goals?

12.) 05 Apr 2021 11:43:50
Re thinking about it. Should make cup priority and give players a rest in the league. McLaughlin could play rest of the league games and McGregor in cup.

13.) 05 Apr 2021 12:07:27
McGregor will play in old firm game
No brainer.

14.) 05 Apr 2021 12:40:01
The best starting 11 should start, no questions about that, that means McGregor and Davis if fit, league is won, now let's go dump them out the Cup and win it, nice double it will be.

15.) 05 Apr 2021 16:23:28
U play McGregor, however if any issues mcglauhlin an excellent deputy.
When he signed probably knew he was second choice, because in the main he was second pick at Sunderland.

16.) 05 Apr 2021 16:37:36
Its entirely possible he has been promised cup games, but I sincerely hope not in this occasion, greegs is our superstar, along with morelos and Davis he must play

Doiger, migrator " deserves a rest ", don't even think of suggestthat yo him, he's a goalkeeper not a winger, he doesn't need to rest he would be sick to miss a game like this, or possibly a cup final appearance.

He reminds me very much of big Eric bo A. Will imo never be a starter in any of the big games. I think there are better options out there, that play his style of football.

I like big Cedric but I just think he isn't at that CL level, that we will be requiring moving forward.

He will do a job against your Motherwell, and Livy ect as I seriously feel that's his level.

I know it's a rumour site, however what we have learnt over the past couple of seasons, is that Wilson plays his cards very close to his chest with regards to ins and outs.

Regarding Alfie leaving. I'm not so sure he will leave. He has just recently purchased a new house. Not rented, purchased. That to me does sound like a player that's expecting to leave glasgow in the next few months. Anyway time will tell I suppose.

Question guys re hagi. do we think he is a better player and has more potential to grow that 11.5 mill ping pong.
Imo I would say yes he is a better player and should command at least 15 mill.

Foden not even close to gazza. Gazza was one of those players that even if your team, where playing poor, he could single handed win you the game.
There has been a few fodens like players over the years in the prem league, like Giggs and Hazzard ect and not one of them could lay a glove on gazza.

Yes I agree that the SFA haven't always got it right, with regards to C.V.. However C.V. is an exceptional circumstances that is one of these things, that you try and learn from your mistakes and is a very difficult thing to class every breach as the same.

So for the benefit of some of you Tim's that visit our site. Let's look at some of the cases and statements between the 2 clubs.

Firstly we have Christie and Patterson. Kennedy comes out and states that regardless of the player and his ability and importance to the team. Responding to SG comments on Nathen Patterson. This shouldn't impact of the SFA decisions. didn't his club try to get Christie's 14 day isolation overturned because he was a crucial part of the team.

Boli boli. Went to another country that was on the red flag list. Returned (no test) trained with his team mates and played against Killy. Result 5 game ban 3 suspended. Had we went with the correct procedures all the Celtic team and killy team should have isolated for 14 days. Did this happen. No.

Helander goes on international duty. Tests positive for C.V.. No contact with any of our players, told to isolate 14. Correct procedures put in place.

Ping ping flies a girlfriend in from another red flag country. SFA no action. Club allowed to deal with internally.

Griffiths has party. No action from club or SFA. Allowed to play and train with his colleagues.

Dubai. Kennedy comes out on nation tv and states that his players had breached some of the C.V. rules. No bans from the SFA. Manager Lennon we did nothing wrong. CEO lawell apologized to fans. 2 players test positive bring C.V. into the country. Yet the club did nothing wrong. With Kennedy admitting C.V. rule breaks from players. The whole team should have been made to self isolate for 14 days and hibs and Livy should have been awarded the points. Results from SFA no action no bans. Celtic allowed to handle internally along with test n trace.

Edminson and Jones attended party same as Griffiths No contact with any of our players or staff. Unlike boli boli. Result the highest individual bans of 7 games for each player.

The C.V. 5 attended party all attendees within the players individual bubbles. The rule break was the numbers. No contact with our players or staff. Results the second highest bans of 6 games. 4 plus 2 suspended.

Selective memories that mob across the city.

Oh but the SFA are favouring our club.

Celtic have been doing this for decades. In every single transfer window. There is a leak to the press that they are going for this superstar. Make contact, then offer a crappy deal. Then say to their guilable fans. Yes but we tried to sign this one and that one but they wanted to much cash.

Kieran Tierney is 24 in 2 months, young Nathan P is only 19. If you go back to when KT was 19, I will say that there is not a lot between them.

Celtic totally mismanaged and ruined KT by totally over playing the lad at a young age. Hence why he is constantly injured. He is a fabulous young player when fit but is constantly injured.
Hopefully Rangers manage young Nathan better which I think they are by introducing him slowly and building him up.

Kj I totally disagree with the clubs decision to appeal the ban. Imo SG and the club are only doing it, to buy more time for Tav return.
How must Edmundson and Jones feel, The CV 5 prob should have been treated more harshly imo as they had all seen what had happened to the players above and still took the decision to break the rules.

Had they got away with and returned to full training, and it later came out, they could have put 55 in jeopardy and for SG and the club to say the circumstances are different and they are young ect, I just don't buy. I won't even go into the moral aspect from the public and our fans point of view, that have all suffered at various levels during this C.V..
Jones and Edmunson regardless of how us as fans feel about them as players, should have been backed to the same level as the CV 5.
