I see we are being linked with saido berahino again. No way I want him near Ibrox. His attitude stinks and he seems to me to be a troublemaker and a bad influence in the dressing room.

ger4life

1.) 27 May 2020 15:17:32
Had his chance a few seasons ago. Big no from me. The boy has talent but also huge chip on his shoulder from what i hear. don't need that in our dressing room.

2.) 27 May 2020 19:23:34
Don’t know enough about him tbh. Heard he has went away to Belgium and reinvented himself (according to Talksport) and got a few clubs talking about him again.

3.) 27 May 2020 21:42:37
It’s a dodgy one, he certainly spat the dummy out when he never got his move to Spurs. But he was a top young player back then. If he’s grown up and wants to make a real go of it the rewards could be great for both parties but if he’s just after another payday we could end up looking rather foolish.

I guess if we are looking at him then he would have to have a sit down with the gaffer and convince him that he’s ready to work hard to resurrect his career. But I certainly wouldn’t put all our eggs in that basket 😂.

4.) 28 May 2020 06:06:07
He would be another one for the refs and compliance officer to target a no from me🇬🇧.

5.) 28 May 2020 10:00:46
Won’t be driving to Ibrox any time soon.

6.) 28 May 2020 12:14:49
oh so now the refs and compliance officer dictate transfer policy? we have sunk to being employees of cfc? like the rest of the league?

7.) 29 May 2020 09:29:43
saido berahino poor mans mario balotelli i say worth a punt. as he's done Heewaw in his career so far and rangers can bring that edge out on some players, maybe we can with him.

8.) 30 May 2020 20:12:11
Looked like he could be a top top player at one point. Bad attitude and lost his way, but if he's screwed the nut could be worth a shout. I'd worry
About him in the goldfish bowl of glasgow tho.

There is talk about signing Vydra from Burnley. He has played nine times this season and not scored a single goal. How is that going to strengthen the team. I despair sometimes.

ger4life

1.) 31 Jan 2020 11:37:12
Ger4life He scored a lot of goals for Derby before signing for Burnley. He’s clearly not had a great time at Burnley, so long as he does it for Rangers, I’m not fussed. He can clearly score.

2.) 31 Jan 2020 11:48:16
Vydra will be a good signing can also play behind the striker and has pace something we currently lack.

3.) 31 Jan 2020 11:49:34
never had a chance at Burnley, he was the championship top goal scorer at Derby before burnley signed him. Czech international.

4.) 31 Jan 2020 11:55:45
of those 9 times only 1 a start, the most time he got in any of the other 8 was 27 minutes. not saying that makes his record any better but at least puts it into a bit of perspective.

at least give the guy a chance (should he arrive) before you judge.

5.) 31 Jan 2020 12:16:56
Vydra would be a top top signing.

6.) 31 Jan 2020 12:20:34
wont get him unless burnley get a late replacement.

7.) 31 Jan 2020 13:06:24
Dont base your football knowledge on wikipedia mate.

8.) 31 Jan 2020 13:14:21
If u don't think he would be a great addition uv lost it.

9.) 31 Jan 2020 13:34:39
He doesn’t fit the way Burnley play, for Derby and Watford he was class. Fs we could sign Messi and u would pick out every negative.

10.) 31 Jan 2020 14:31:48
Supercoop, feck signing messi mate, have you seen his hairstyle, lol.

11.) 31 Jan 2020 15:16:16
Agreed. Vydra would rip the SPL up. Yes he's having a tough time at Burnley but they tend to play 2 target men with Chris Wood and Ashley Barnes. Vydra is a completely different kind of player and one that would suit the way we play. I hope this happens.

01 Jul 2019 13:36:46
I see we are being linked again to ANDY CAROLL. I hope to fu#k that it's only paper talk. We have signed far too many injury prone players in the past. I personally wouldn't touch him with the proverbial barge poll. END OF RANT.

ger4life

1.) 01 Jul 2019 16:45:16
jesus he wld make Kuznetsov look fit!

2.) 01 Jul 2019 17:03:06
It is silly season to be fair.

3.) 01 Jul 2019 18:04:01
Andy Caroll would frighten them up here in Scotland.
I would take him in a pay as you play deal.

4.) 01 Jul 2019 19:27:34
Why would he take a pay as you play deal?

5.) 01 Jul 2019 21:05:04
Andy Carroll's knee joints are frightened of stairs.

6.) 02 Jul 2019 11:44:48
No chance.

7.) 02 Jul 2019 22:43:19
Oaft, i'm in agreement ger4life regarding Andy Caroll. Its a no from me. To be honest i think its just newspaper nonsense.

8.) 02 Jul 2019 22:47:07
Why would he not? He hasn't really been setting any balls on fire has he.

Morning fellow bears. With all this talk about which strikers to sign, we all have our own opinion. I have just read an interesting piece from a former rangers striker (and a very good one at that) Billy Dodds. He thinks that Lyndon Dykes would be a very good fit. Billy is a guy that I would certainly listen. Thoughts Bears.

ger4life

1.) 09 Jun 2020 10:20:41
Ger4life, there's no doubt in my mind whatsoever that lyndon dykes would be a very good signing for rangers mate. Not a shred of doubt and he would get even better under steven gerrard! 👍👌.

2.) 09 Jun 2020 10:36:43
Dykes is untested against teams that dig in. He will never have faced that at Livingston. I am not totally against him signing but he would be a big gamble and at anything over 500k I wouldn’t be interested!

3.) 09 Jun 2020 10:43:28
Would take him but nowhere near 2mill. 750k max.

4.) 09 Jun 2020 11:26:14
I assume SGL is happy with being runners up again.

5.) 09 Jun 2020 12:00:36
Ger4life and SGL. There is always risks attached with new players. Like others, my opinion is that Rangers need four good strikers that offer different things to the team so that Gerrard can mix it up when needed. Dykes could be one of those strikers as I think he offers something different from what we already have. I thought he played well against us at Ibrox. And at the end of the day if he comes in and does well everyone that has doubts will move on. If he doesn’t do well or fit in then he will become like Greg Stewart. I suppose the question to ask ( and I don’t know the answer to this) is there a better alternative available, someone better or with greater potential for the price?

6.) 09 Jun 2020 12:48:27
68 good idea would be to fure livi the likes of stewart and barker for dykes.

7.) 09 Jun 2020 13:20:40
The Stuck, i have many years experience following rangers everywhere pal and let me tell you this. I would never except being runners up to them at tiddlywinks,
let alone football! 😂 Over the years i would love to have had a penny everytime when we went to sign a player from a smaller club in scotland, for the amount of times i've heard the negative comments from people like yourself spouting that he's not good enough, he's alright playing for them and not us etc, etc! Every transfer has a degree of a gamble attached to it. I'll also tell you that over the years and players we've signed from other scottish clubs, there's been a helluva lot of good signings, with them improving even more when they came to us. I also have seen failures and also big name foreign failures!,
So we don't know for definite if dykes would be a good signing or not my friend! I personally think he would be!

8.) 09 Jun 2020 14:06:43
dykes and a speed merchant. can't see how 6foot + would not be helpful against clubs that sit in. makes no sense i'm afraid.

9.) 09 Jun 2020 15:02:15
For every Billy Dodds there will be two or three who differ, just like on here. I differ completely from Coops, for instance, I can see little to suggest Dykes would improve enough, quickly enough to offer us a real striking option.

10.) 09 Jun 2020 15:23:18
What striker would you like rangers to bring in the covenanter, within reason mate?

11.) 09 Jun 2020 16:19:02
SGL, I'm glad you've followed Rangers for a while and I'm sure you will continue to do so. I can also say the same, My father took me to my first game when I was 4 and continue to follow follow. I am now 51. I also had the great pleasure of working with the head grounds man at Ibrox for 12 years. Keep following my friend.

12.) 09 Jun 2020 19:10:28
Good for you mate! 👍. My late grandmother was a 2nd cousin of rangers legendary player, manager and then director Willie Waddell. They originated from a wee village called the forth.

13.) 09 Jun 2020 19:14:44
SGL, are you sure it was called the Forth?

14.) 09 Jun 2020 20:01:47
Yes why my friend?

15.) 09 Jun 2020 23:56:27
It was called Forth all right and I also have connections with the village, my Grandfather was born there! As for all our backgrounds, I first saw Rangers in August 1958, which is almost 60 years of follow following. My mother was born in Paisley Road West and legend has it that my great grandfather on that side actually saw the team play at Kinning Park and was really put out when they moved along to Ibrox!

16.) 10 Jun 2020 00:00:39
SGL, I tend not to get involved with speculation mate, although I will post wee snippets and rumours I hear occasionally. I prefer to wait until it is presented to us as a fait accompli, it's more exciting! However, any striker we do sign will be, I think, about two levels above those currently quoted on here.

17.) 10 Jun 2020 09:53:05
i was born in blackburn street in kinning park in 1948 and i don't remember ever been told they had played in kinning park, i am not saying it never happened but if anyone has any info on this i would be interested to know.

18.) 10 Jun 2020 12:37:35
True blue, we started at Glasgow green, move to Burnbank, Govan and thereafter played at Clydesdale cricket club, in kinning park. There after Cathkin park, then first ibrox before the first disaster.
It was extensively rebuilt and expanded on the site we occupy today.

10 May 2020 18:52:32
Now that more clubs are speaking out against these charlatans at the SFA and SPFL, hopefully we will get something done about them. These fu#ckers only have their own cronies interests at heart. George Orwell summed it up exactly, in the book Animal Farm, namely:- ALL MEN ARE BORN EQUAL, BUT SOME ARE BORN MORE EQUAL THAN OTHERS. AYE RIGHT.

ger4life

05 May 2020 11:04:37
I see that the proof we have about SFA and the SPFL dirty tricks has been postponed until thursday. I hope to f#ck that this doesn't become a damp squib, and make us look like a bunch of clowns. Wouldn't they just love that.

ger4life

1.) 05 May 2020 11:30:46
Yes G4L. Am feeling uncomfy bout this.

2.) 05 May 2020 12:00:06
Or the SPFL are now bottling it as they know they've done wrong?

3.) 05 May 2020 12:25:59
Holding it back untill vary last opportunity, so as they can’t canive and weasel their way around it . Of course they still will try . but this cuts down their time .
Personally I think they should walk dossier or not ., Far too many conflicting untruths
A question and answers with your own questions?
An independent inquiry that only you kn about? That’s the opposite if independent spfl? We are not stupid.

4.) 05 May 2020 12:58:12
If the info we have is that serious that it could seriously damage Scottish football then surely we want the guilty parties to stand down by mutual agreement and resolve this without the MAD that could come about. I hope both parties are talking behind the scenes.

5.) 05 May 2020 13:51:29
and I really don't! who's standard of behaviour are you quoting?
wrongdoing on a major incompetent scale has been ongoing with cfc appointees.

could not have occurred without complicitous clubs who have whined about us for a decade. rangers have clearly pointed this out no matter what and witnessed the fallout. fans and voters need to take their own action.

6.) 05 May 2020 19:20:52
Our evidence must be along the lines recordings of conversations between SPFL hierarchy and club chairmen carving up the vote. It’s being held till legal department say to release the information as they were checking legalities relating to whistleblowing. is this plausible as a rumour?
Hope we have them bang to rights.

02 May 2020 16:15:25
Hope the news that we have got rid of that fat twit is true. Also hope the takeover of newcastle goes through and they get rid of him too.

ger4life

1.) 02 May 2020 18:27:09
Here here ger4life rangers of course are my club first and foremost but newcastle utd are my favourite english club and always have been!
Like you i hope both these fantastic clubs are rid of mike ashley! 👍🙏.

2.) 02 May 2020 19:59:53
Well SGL, who's our new kit supplier going to be? You seem to have someone different every month.

3.) 02 May 2020 20:23:18
Nike mate done and dusted 🤔.

16 Apr 2020 18:15:34
These tadgers at the SFA and SPFL have sunk to a new low (even for them) . These snakes would need to use a set of ladders to reach the gutter. The sooner we get rid of these fu@kers the better. ONWARDS AND UPWARDS THE FAMOUS and get it right up them all.

ger4life

1.) 16 Apr 2020 23:27:02
Ger4 life, when we were removed from the top league, that left lawwell running things alone, he employed his friends, somebody posted on here about the s.p.f.l and anybody associated with it they were all brought on board by lawwell, so what chance do we have with anything, think about it, the way the refs, linesmen, treat us, they all hate us being back, as now none of them will finish higher than third, again, and while we sit back and do nowt this will continue, show some balls, stand up to the cheats.

2.) 17 Apr 2020 09:36:34
Mr Park has acreputation for taking a hard line and picking his moments. Let's see what happens.

3.) 17 Apr 2020 14:59:49
I trust Park on this one, he's too experienced to make a daft move.

4.) 18 Apr 2020 15:14:47
Seeker, I've also been told mr park won't miss, 'hope so, get this corruption out our game.

Unfortunately the fat man is like a BAD SMELL. He will hang around out of spite. He is just an EAST END BARROW BOY who got rich. Just like Trump he will hang around causing trouble just to be spiteful. It's in their nature, they seem to thrive on being hated. That's what happens when you are so thick skinned.

SGL I know the feeling of frustration you get with some of the posters on here. I often wonder if they are simply on here to wind people up. The best way to deal with them is just ignore their ignorance and don't let them wind you up. I stopped taking the bait months ago. Just keep posting sensible posts that add something to the discussion. I don't always agree with everything you, or anyone else says, but we are all entitled to our opinion. So don't give up, we all need some common sense on here. ONWARDS AND UPWARDS. 👍.

Here was me thinking that the Andy Halliday bashers were gone, but they have all just been on a short holiday. GET OFF HIS BACK FOR FU#K SAKE. The guy gives, and always has given 110% for our club. He is never posted missing (like some others) and all some of you can do is give him grief.

By a fluke of nature I have managed to reach 67. I sincerely hope you make it to. IT AIN'T EASY MATE. ONWARDS AND UPWARDS THE FAMOUS GLASGOW RANGERS. WE MOST CERTAINLY ARE THE PEOPLE. End of rant 😜.

Why are we even contemplating buying 20 year old players from other clubs in the SPL. Our youth teams are doing great at the moment. Surely we have as good, or better young players than all the other teams in the SPL. I really am totally bemused by it all.

Some of you still harping on about Morelos wanting to jump ship. The lad stated clearly at the start of his Rangers career that his dream was to play in the EPL. He has been with us for nearly 3 seasons, I would hardly call that jumping ship. GET OF THE GUY'S BACK FOR F@CK SAKE.
