After that horror show today somethings needs to be done urgently or we will have no european football next season whatsoever. Do you think there is any serious chance of steven gerrard coming to us and if he does would this signal major funding for summer spending. I see it this way it is a risky chance being taken if he doe's get the job. But with his links with liverpool we could gain some good talent on loan from them and with him being a big name player world wide people could come just because he is manager. James09, give any decent manager the financial backing he needs and he has a good chance if success. I agree with that. The question is this, how much does he need. Well if Celtic don't strengthen then maybe £12 to £15mill. Celtic sell Dembele. Maybe £15mill topps for him. Buy Edouard so no difference. Lose Rogic and Armstrong which will happen. They need to spend £8MILL to replace so that's Dembele money gone but another £5 or £6 from Armstrong and Rogic. Tierney won't go. So they use the Rogic and Armstrong money to maybe go out and buy a couple more so the gap stays the same. Rangers have little to sell aoart from Morales who is Dembele is worth £15mill then Morales is not worth much more than £8 or £9mill topps.
Celtic have £30mill in the bank. If they qualify for CL again then another £25mill is getting banked. So if Celtic want to they can step up again. Issue is that right now till Rangers, Hibs and Aberdeen mount a challenge they don't need to. So in reality the new Rangers manager needs many millions and he won't get that. So Rangers fans have no change coming next year

Basically there’s value signings everywhere from Bosmans to loan market and minor fees, it’s about targeting 2-3 positions who are your weakest which i'd say includes both CHalfs and ensuring you get good players in on favourable terms, repeat process over next few windows and we have a team to compete. Regardless of how much cash they have they won’t sanction a deal of £8m plus for any player and there’s not many players with a high value that would consider joining Scottish football.
We have a good enough GK, LB, RB, CM x2 CAM x2 RW and LW and 2ST
We need 2 1st team CHalfs, back up or competition for both full back roles.
Jack, Holt, Halliday, Rossiter, Dorrans, Docherty, McCrorie for CM I’d punt 4 and bring in other starter in CM
Dorrans, Arfield and Windass for CAM I’d punt Windass and use funds for CB or CM
Need a wide player for back up to Candeias with Arfield covering Murphy if required again get shot of O’Halloran and Pena
Keep Morales unless we get £6m plus with Cummings and sign 1 more Striker, get shot of DoDo, Herrera, Miller (gone) Niko (gone)
I know it’s difficult getting shot of players on decent money but it’s possible to loan them out, get small fee or terminate their contract for a smaller fee.
Add steel, Heart, Desire and Pride into the mix and we will get back to where we belong again

I agree, Tav stepped up defensively for a while with Candeias helping him but recent old firms have highlighted his inabilities again, he like Windass is replaceable and I’d expect £2m for each, insert sell on clauses and use the funds wisely. Personally I’d have Arfield playing in the 10 with Dorrans as back up if the new manager is going to play that formation.
Next 3 games may define next Season in terms of who we can attract and budget. Obv if they win Cup top 4 will suffice for Europe but let’s make sure we get top 3 minimum and build again

We have wrapped up the title in record time I just hope we do not let up in the league. I want to remain unbeaten and match brendans 2017 team by getting 106 points and concede less goals than they conceded which if I remember rightly was 20. Also keeping your foot on the gas will help in Europe should we get past slavia prague. I really would like a win in Prague on Thursday just merely because the second leg is just three days before the old firm game and last thing we would want is extra time. Also hearing tav and roofe should be back for the second leg at Ibrox. Just one more thing given how close the players were to each other yesterday during Murray park celebrations I just hope we are not hit with any c. v cases I know players are in a bubble but it doesn't mean they cannot transmit or catch it. Anyways it's back to work for me tomorrow after some time off for personal reasons so message to everyone enjoy the next two games in Europe and the old firm game. After my recent posts about what happened at the weekend and my thoughts on it i have decided that i will no longer post any comments on here. I have always tried to be sensible with my posts as well as optimistic. I raised my points as i had a firm belief that what i was saying was correct and i was told i was using c. v as an excuse to have a go at the team or me using it was embarrasing i merely stated that i had lost two relatives to c. v one being my mum and the other my grandad. I fully apreciate that we have had a tough ten years that we will never suffer again hopefully. winning title number 55 was amazing and hopefully it will lead to 56 57 and so on and hopefully we continue unbeaten through the rest of the season and progress in europe. I will continue to celebrate safely and will also condemn the fans who go out and cause trouble and give our great club bad press. the weekend was ruined by mindless people drunk or using the celebrations to cause trouble. To all the genuine fans thanks for supporting our great team through difficult times. stevie g is a legend and when he goes will be hard to replace. 55 and counting!

I don't care what anyone says about yesterday but the groups of fans who turned up at George square and at the stadium and other locations are disgraceful the behaviour of a minority of them was beyond belief in the middle of a C.V. putting peoples life's at risk. I hope the majority of them wake up and be ashamed of themselves. I'm happy we have title number 55 and celebrated at home in the right way. The difference between them is that you had thousands of people gathered together yesterday most without masks and very little social distancing also the fact they were screaming and singing and we know that C. V is transmitted via aerosols. All the fans had to do was celebrate at home like most of us have had to do. We are only a matter of weeks away from being out of lockdown and back to some normality in our lives now because of weekends events no doubt we will see cases rise because of the gatherings. As i said we have all lost loved ones to this or know people who have. Been such an amazing day and an amazing season all round. As for the small minorty of fans who ignored social distancing and lockdown rules i am not going to say any more than shame on the lot of you this will be bad press for our club when it should be all about us winning the league. I know we have waited ten years almost for this day but you can celebrate in much safer ways and celebrate in a more jubilant way when we are out of this C.V.. This season has been amazing and all eyes now turn to thursday night against slavia prague. it is going to be a really tough game but we have overcome a few better teams in the last couple of seasons. Also seen the morelos interview just brilliant. About tomorrow i am in two minds i hope celtic slip up and we are champions going to parkhead but part of me wants them to win so we win it at the hippodrome. Sturgeon said if protocols are not followed then she would have to look at the situation with elite sport and with all the stuff that’s happened during this C.V. nothing would surprise me given how seriously the C.V. is spreading. Nicola sturgeon and Jason leitch have already said if protocols in sport don’t continue to be followed then the privileges given to elite sports may have to be looked at again. Neil Lennons comments won’t have gone down well today the season reaching a conclusion are hanging by a thread and if it is null and voided then I would expect our club to launch legal action. Yes I would have expected to hear something the players will not be sacked. We heard about Jones and Edmondson within 24 hours. This is a vital week in our season and where are the pictures of training sessions we would get and the manger would speak 48 hours before a big European game. Sweep1 football means nothing okay so what about all the people who are employed and have families to support what these players did was wrong but you cannot punish the vast majority who follow the guidelines. You need to just hope that this incident is isolated incident and will be dealt with robustly by the club. We know the pressure on the nhs due to C. V none more so than myself having lost three members of my family to the challenge. But stopping football or elite sport in general isn’t the answer. It was at the start of the C.V. but that was because we didn’t know what we were dealing with.
