1.) 08 Jan 2017 18:04:05
Wouldn't want him anyway

2.) 08 Jan 2017 18:28:51
why not what's your reasoning, seems everyone baulks at ex players coming back, at least he did not want to leave or jump ship, i for one would have him back, gets stuck in where it matters.

3.) 08 Jan 2017 18:44:47
No one jumped ship they were told couldn't pay there wages or wed be tottaly ****ed they helped us by leaving when they did

4.) 08 Jan 2017 19:00:31
who helped, whittaker and naismith, you must be having a laugh they helped nobody but themselves, pair of whinging moaners

5.) 08 Jan 2017 19:45:50
Weeblueguy you are delusional. Every player along with non playing staff was to Tupe over their contracts to the new company. They could then have been sold on to other teams. They would have commanded vastly reduced fees ie 250k rather than the millions they were worth, but any money would have been better than none. Instead they walked away for nothing to negotiate higher contracts with other clubs as no transfer fee was involved. This argument of "they did it for their families" is nonsense. Do you honestly believe that Everton would have been out off Naismith because of a 250k fee? Come on. Bocanegra, Edu, Goian, Bedoya these guys all tuped over to see what the state of play was going to be. The so called Rangers fans jumped ship to line their own pockets and for no other reason.

6.) 08 Jan 2017 20:39:02
Cant see the problem with Hutton. He never jumped ship ( 2008? ) we done good business with him as we had a strong squad at that time In fact after his departure we won another three league titles . So Hutton brought value to the club on and of the field.

7.) 08 Jan 2017 20:39:37
Spot on Parky. The other guys you mentioned did things the right way and left with their heads held high. The rest worked their ticket for no other reason than money. BTW I'd take Hutton back in a minute. Hope it happens

8.) 08 Jan 2017 21:09:27
Love it when the experts tell us they know everything about contractual/ financial undertakings of the club. Absolutely no prejudice in their views. They just KNOW. Smart guys, wish there were more like them.

9.) 08 Jan 2017 21:24:30
Also lampard would offer nothing? Give me a break! Jesus **** . Would be the beast player up hear EVEN at 37 years of age mind Clint hills 38 people lamps is also a bear I've heard

10.) 08 Jan 2017 22:34:45
Whittaker Naismith McGregor and Lafferty will always be rats.

11.) 08 Jan 2017 22:06:25
Frank Lampard was a brilliant player but anyone who has watched him in recent years will know he is a spent force.

12.) 09 Jan 2017 00:03:17
I've honestly never read so much pish. Get a grip you lot Lampard would stroll it here but it's never going to happen. Pipe dreams so put down the bong

13.) 09 Jan 2017 07:25:02
When is this former players row going to end it was 2012. The way i see it IF these guys had transferred over by tupe, do you honestly think the club would have seen the funds from any potential fee? Did the club see any of the Jelavic fee, or the Arsenal shares? No it would have been used to line those charlatans pockets. These guys knew what was going on in the background more than any of us fans ever have or will.

As for having them back yes I would but more importantly I wanna see this team getting a grip and show the fight that is required to play for this club.

14.) 10 Jan 2017 13:42:04
Hutton was average first time round and we bagged 8 million for him. That should have been the last time Alan Hutton's name was mentioned on this page.

24 Oct 2016 01:11:34
it all boils down to the fact that the close season signings have for one reason or another have not settled and up till today the managers refusal to change his style of play and why does harry foster or m o halloran can't get a game its looking now s macoll would have been the better choice of manager more adaptable than warburton because i reckon warburton will walk before the season.

largebill

1.) 24 Oct 2016 08:15:45
'not settling' is the least of our worries! The last 4 or 5 signings can't seem to play for more than 5 minutes without getting injured! and At least one of them is nuts! .
Not looking good unfortunately. Needs something to change, and I don't think MW can!

2.) 24 Oct 2016 11:30:03
big calls coming up for warbs the captain needs to be dropped its sickens me a rangers captain can be bullied about a park so easily and barry mckay is miles away its no coincidence his best games this season have been in the cup games were we've played lower league opposition massive well done to lee hodson yesterday thought he was really solid but wouldn't be shocked if he's back on the bench wednesday night.

3.) 24 Oct 2016 16:00:38
Celtic don't create as many chances against the rest of the spl so it's clear mw is lost. he doesn't have a clue and it's not working. miller off was bad decision and joe dodo is scared to compete. haliday and holt done well but they have too much to do so they can't support attacks as they are constantly backtracking. half the chances Celtic got were due to giving the ball away. Mckay is a disgrace to the jersey. There was no outball for rangers and as for garner. nuff said. Rangers are celtics easiest game of the season, why is that. go home mw.

4.) 24 Oct 2016 16:15:02
Totally agree with you bil72. Hodson had a lot of fight and determination, also Gilks had a great game ( apart from a wee oopsy ) . Wallace and McKay probably won't be dropped and they know it. Are Ohalloran, Forester injured? Drop the old pals act Warburton!

5.) 24 Oct 2016 22:06:34
Another area of concern is fitness and strength . They were way stronger than us- even after having a tough mid week game. They buy Dembele - instant return -we buy Garner- Stevie Wonder could see he is out of his depth.

6.) 24 Oct 2016 22:11:07
Cant understand why moh can't get a game. or why forresters not even in squad. rossiter who was meant to be fit not in squad. Crooks and senderos never going to change a game as a sub. Rossiter niko crooks all injury prone. and surprise surprise 3 have suffered injuries in training.

Barton a reputation for causing trouble. and you know the rest. garner is a dud. Begin to wonder what the great Frank mcparland is doing. On the plus side Gilks and Hodson were outstanding yesterday as was Hill. just think we should av spent Garner fee and kranjcar wages on Jason Cummings.

He was in last year of contract and £1.5m would have done. we've nothing up front. millers getting older waghorn is getting fatter mackays confidence is shot and well. garner is pish.

7.) 25 Oct 2016 00:27:16
Now i see were celtic fans were comin from when mowbray was there manager now i totally understand sooner warburtons gone the better an absolute clueless english man managin a huge club with traditions and history and treatin it like its or were some kind of english lower league when were world wide, his buys have been absolute diabolical on par with le guens buys n tht is no joke fist off all joe garner 28 1.8 million is this for real or what dembele 500k steal of the century were was our scouts? Exactly do we have any? Why did we not get cummings stewart hemmings or even adam rooney they all are better thn garner and would been cheaper fact on midfield why did we not go for kenny mclean ryan jack even hayes n mcginn instead of barton and krancjar or even hibs midfielder john mcginn crackin young player. We really have mucked up big time in the transfer market and warburton has to hold his hand up simple as tht no excuses anymore can us gers fans trust him in jan well i'm a big fat no on that, his tactics are slowly but surley makin gers fans not wantin to watch there team no more this 433 is just becomin a laughin stock yes if we had the xavis and iniestas of the World then maybe it would work. Team selection its enough to hit the jack daniels permanent seriously what does we mikey ohalloran have to do to get game? Do a barrie mckay and rob kiernan do some funny buisness in the managers office lol but i honestly think MW is out his depth big time he will keep playin same tactics n formation everyweek Yawn and he will keep PLAYING same players who don't deserve to even start or even be at our famous club. so us gers fans expect to be ridin the storm this season cause its going to be 1 hell off a ride.

8.) 25 Oct 2016 09:04:07
Yous are all deluded and a disgrace to call urselves rangers fans.

9.) 25 Oct 2016 10:48:21
lets be honest the game was a total shambles but to come on here and shout about the manager walking away is pathetic and a trate we normally see from the other side.

I like most hoped for the best this season but realistically we where never going to be near them and for me we should play all the players that played last season and drop the new boys until they actually improve the squad as we where a far better attacking team last year even against the spl oppisiotion.

I will however give the manager the rest of the year to work things out as I believe he can.

10.) 25 Oct 2016 12:05:07
I totally am right behind our manager and i'm backing him and our team to the hilt at this moment in time. What manager is going to come in with no dough and do any better just now, nobody! Barrymiddleton you want rid of warbs, who do you want or reckon would be gettable to come in to be our new manager in the current situation the club is in? Name your new rangers manager and your reasons why he would do much better than warburton?

11.) 25 Oct 2016 13:41:33
Calling barrymiddleton, where are you? let's be hearing you!

12.) 25 Oct 2016 14:29:36
James stirling supercoopereleven i'm here derek mcinnes alex neil possibly tommy wright i can name few that are better his managmeant is bad he's pickin players tht aren't playin well and boys like moh have to suffer how can u say thts good its a joke simple as tht the formation isn't workin we 3 in midfield mind this is a city trader who only got brentford job 3 year ago.

13.) 25 Oct 2016 15:46:46
Barrymiddleton, do me a favour mate, common tommy wright as manager of glasgow rangers? Don't think so. Now i'm not for a minute hear decrying wright who is a decent manager but not of the standard imo needed to be our manager. Tommy wright has done very well at St. J but with all due respect to them, they are a provincial football club, we are an institution with expectation levels like Barcelona or real madrid rightly or wrongly! Well a lot of impatient teddy bears think that anyway. Alex neil is a good manager with not a big budget like some other championship clubs and is good with youth just like our manager warburton, who imo is better than alex neil. so if your saying alex neil its similar to warbs anyway. Now onto delboy mciness, imo not good enough to manage glasgow rangers and was a massive failure in the english championship with bristol City and certainly not a better manager than warbs, so there you have it mate! If you had said get alex ferguson out of retirement then we're talking but i'm perfectly happy with our management team as to where we are at this particular time. Give him time to completely rebuild us and have a bit of patience and see it for what it is just now!

14.) 25 Oct 2016 16:20:58
barry you are expecting too much from anyone in the short period of time warbs has been a manager in this devision.
I do agree with you that he needs to change things a bit but we can't be changing the manager that my friend is utter stupidity. mcinnes ill one day manage rangers and I think will be a good manager but not before warbs has a fair crack at it .
we have been improving this season and one game against (I hate to say) a better team does not change how we are progressing.

changing managers before they get a fair crack is a timmaloy trate and one I despise.

be patient my fellow bears and keep calm and follow follow as all will come good.

15.) 25 Oct 2016 17:46:13
Well said james stirling, totally in sync with you mate, well nearly totally. Imo mate i don't rate delboy mciness that highly and honestly think if and when warbs moves on from us we should be targeting a far better candidate than delboy mciness, just my opinion mate!

16.) 25 Oct 2016 18:45:21
James Stirling were not improving were getting worse, how can some of you say we're improving we clearly are not!

17.) 25 Oct 2016 23:34:51
For the love off god no we are not improvin are u jokin play kiernan feckin murder causes half the goals lee wallace n barrie mckay absolute mince thn it gets even worse we play fat waghorn out wide right instead of MOH blisterin pace but hell yeah were improvin get real and get grip for godsakes, james sterlin supercoopereleven are yous for real MW is way out his depth he lacks the expierance just like ronny deila did for celtic we are a laughin stock now if i had my way i'd send out an SOS for big eck or walter smith to steady the ship or even go for tony pulis. Warburton isn't going to change simple as tht he will stick with the same dross everyweek includin 433 wich isn't workin so NO we have not improved and we are not ginna unless somethin changes sooner so let's be real here for christ sake.

18.) 26 Oct 2016 08:51:01
Its you that has to get real barrymiddleton! Of course there have been mistakes and none of us bears are enjoying this, we're all hurting. We are in the full rebuilding process of an institution from top to bottom! At least have a little patience instead of trying to be a glory hunter mate because that's what your sounding like. Any bear with half a brain knew especially our first season back up, that it wasn't going to be easy. The time to assess how we've done, this our first season back up should be at the end of the season! Have at least a wee bit of patience and try getting behind glasgow rangers! We are where we are just now, unfortunately!

19.) 26 Oct 2016 09:22:06
barrymiddleton, you defeat your own argument with the alternative managers suggested, not one of them is a manager that we should even entertain as an option in the event that Warburton was to leave. Celtic showed the way in appointing Rodgers and I doubt that they would have done that had we had any of those that you refer to or people like Billy Davis that should be no where near Ibrox.

In the event that Warburton did decide to call it a day we would have serious issues because no manager of quality, and here I am talking about managers that in the EPL or at clubs in the elite leagues of Europe, are going to come to a club where they have no money to spend and a lame duck chairman that does not have the wherewithal to deliver on promises.

Like any other Rangers supporter I do have concerns. I hear rumours of fall out between players, like Forrester with the manager, I see the poor way that the Barton fiasco was handled, I watch a team that are leaderless on the park, where we seriously need to address the situation and I watch week in week out where we play McKay who is either out of his league or has lost interest.

Yes we need to see change, Souness hit the nail on the head, we need investment and the acquisition of probably four quality players and in the interim we need to see the manager giving players like MOH and Forrester a run of games with McKay dropped. Indeed in January if we can get someone to pay good money for him then I would gladly see him transferred.

20.) 26 Oct 2016 11:29:49
no one is happy with the way we started the season but the performances have been getting better barrymiddleton .

I for one will give sum1 a fair go at rebuilding a team rather than say get rid of him when he half way through that job. (because that is utter stupidity barry)

yes I agree McKay hasn't been on form all season and needs dropped but this knee jerk reaction to the celtic game and a few poor results is way over the top and quite frankly embarrassing.

if rangers are to get better then we neeed our fans support not shouting for change when simply put we couldn't get any better managers than warbs as no one of Rodgers calibre will look at us right now.

21 Jun 2016 18:57:26
i am told krankar is less than 50/ 50.

largebill

1.) 22 Jun 2016 06:24:01
Medical today apparently largebill, just have to wait and c I suppose. hope it goes through, be a cracking signing.

2.) 22 Jun 2016 06:47:06
Heard much the same piece of info regarding niko kranjcar largebill, its the medical that I'm hearing with some of his injuries of late, also heard if the deal falls through we will turn our attention to signing our ex attacking midfielder sone aluko for the same position we've earmarked for kranjcar.

3.) 22 Jun 2016 07:15:07
Is Aluko not going to Birmingham mate?

4.) 22 Jun 2016 07:24:11
Lads got a good source telling me rangers are apparently close to agreeing terms to appoint Johnny Evans as our newest addition once he finishes up at the euros! Anyone else heard this? This has come from inside ibrox.

5.) 22 Jun 2016 07:27:18
Aluko not signed anything yet for Birmingham. Personally I would prefer Aluko, he's 26.

6.) 22 Jun 2016 08:48:34
Inside ibrox? The cleaner leaking stories again. Johnny evans is probably on close to 70 grand a week. i'd be absolutely amazed if this was true. More chance signing his brother corry who has played well at euro 16.

7.) 22 Jun 2016 09:15:22
If there's any truth in evens then wages will Defo be a problem he's had a good euros but what a signing it would be here's hoping fingers crossed the whispers u have heard threw those think walls at ibrox are true.

8.) 22 Jun 2016 09:58:20
No chance on Evans pure nonsense come on boys.

9.) 22 Jun 2016 10:10:06
Don't you think Evans has made his money in football and would like to end his career at rangers with the possibility of maybe 1 last crack at European football? Let's be honest he wouldn't of been on much more than joey Barton was getting offered to stay down south would he and he's not exactly a world class centre half.

10.) 22 Jun 2016 10:53:37
Hands down Aluko.

11.) 22 Jun 2016 12:59:08
johnnyb evan's has only just turned 28, and will be on more than 30k a week at west brom.
Not a chance in hell of signing him. Key player for west brom.

12.) 22 Jun 2016 13:27:17
At this stage of both careers I'd take aluko all day long over kranjcar both good signings but for me it'd be aluko.

12 Jun 2016 13:51:12
there has been thoughts at ibrox of giving goodwillie a six month contract on bare wages to see if he can reproduce his earlier promise whether it will happen don't know.

largebill

1.) 12 Jun 2016 15:30:21
hope not.

2.) 12 Jun 2016 15:37:35
Nonsense!

3.) 12 Jun 2016 16:22:11
Never a warburton signing.

4.) 12 Jun 2016 16:49:25
I don't believe it either but i wouldn't say its never a warburton signing most of his signings last season was players with potential who lost there way a bit i'd say goodwillie falls into that category.

i honestly don't know what to think about mw tactics or team selection but i also don't think its time for knee jerk reactions he should be guven to end of season giving any new man a chance to bet his own team.

largebill

1.) 04 Feb 2017 23:38:39
Largebill, i have stood by our manager mark warburton on these pages, as anyone on here will know, all along. Here's the thing, he MUST change the formation of our team from time to time, in order to turn games in our favour! He's far too set on his 4-3-3 ways and its every chance it will cost him his job!

He must see during a game, why its not working and be able to tweek the formation in order to get the favourable result for us! All good managers can do this! I'll ask you all on here tonight. Will mark warburton see the season out as rangers manager?

Now i'm a worried bear that we may not get 2nd or even worse get pipped for 3rd! Do our board with this fear very much in evidence now, stick with warbs until the end of the season, or twist to get a fresh input from another manager, to push us to achieve 2nd place? Over to you glasgow rangers board of directors! Big decision has to be made! quickly!

2.) 05 Feb 2017 18:19:10
As you know coop ivy backed him also, but I can't do that anymore, he just can't or won't change, even his subs are so predictable and like for like, he must go after this season, he's just not good enough, btw it's not easy to admit being wrong, but how wrong was I lol

26 Jan 2017 12:15:31
the move for oxford confuses me he has not played much football (first team) and really cannot be up to pace he is a defender we send crooks out on loan (a defender)because he is not fit surely if crooks is any good we should have got him fit or is he another duff signing

largebill

1.) 26 Jan 2017 12:37:38
Crooks isn't a defender, he is a midfielder, he has said so himself, wish people would get that into their heads!

2.) 26 Jan 2017 13:21:01
Crooks is a central midfielder. People have said he is a centre back and a defensive mid, he really isn't. His best performances for Accrington came as an attacking player.

3.) 26 Jan 2017 13:24:09
you are 100% right largebill don't go for a young cb insted we will just keep playing rob Kiernan he might come on to a game and stop giving away stuped goals

4.) 26 Jan 2017 13:53:17
His best performances for Stanley came as a striker lol! Oxford will be playing for West hams youth teams every game and at 18 years old will be pretty fit he isn't exactly in nike kranjcar shape.

5.) 26 Jan 2017 15:12:42
We are going for oxford and your hyndmans to build a relationship with english clubs not a bad idea ok its only loans but could lead to other loans and permanent signings from these clubs plus managers move on to better clubs and if he likes what warburton does up here we could get better players comming up and a lot of these guys fall in love with our club u never know what could happen from there

6.) 26 Jan 2017 15:59:13
We're moving for Oxford because he will improve our chances of securing 2nd and European competition at very little cost. Why anyone would be against us bringing in a well reputed CB from an EPL team when we have very little talent in that area of the team is beyond me.

7.) 26 Jan 2017 17:35:55
He's not a CB!

8.) 26 Jan 2017 17:43:03
I don't think Reece Oxford will be a regular starter. Think opportunities will be there for him but not as a 1st choice CB or a DM. He will be utilised in a similar role as Dom Ball played last season. As for David Bates, he signed a developmental contract. His main objectives will be to train with the first team and gain experience. Wouldn't be surprised if he was loaned at some point next season.

9.) 26 Jan 2017 16:19:14
Oxfors would walk into our midfield or defence move halliday one forward and stick holt on the bench

10.) 26 Jan 2017 22:22:48
Keep believing did bates no sign a 18 month contract if we loaned him out next season he would be out of contract by the end of it

11.) 26 Jan 2017 22:22:48
Keep believing did bates no sign a 18 month contract if we loaned him out next season he would be out of contract by the end of it

19 Jan 2017 22:52:35
i posted about negativety coming out of murray park when u think about it its even worse other than celtic we have the biggest wage bill and spent more the rest of s p l and have argueabble best facilities in scotland and all we get is excuses to me there is more to it we a tactically more minded coach other than if plan don't work theree is no plan b

largebill

1.) 20 Jan 2017 08:32:26
What Warburton inherited when he took over at Rangers was nothing more than shambolic. Do we forget the two lunatics that were managing the club on the playing field and the bunch of reprobates that masqueraded as a Board.

It has only been recently that we have actually seen the changes necessary to take us forward yet these discussions on improving the quality of our youth scouting and bringing players into Auchenhowie have been going on for years and have been nothing other than a joke prior to Warburton's arrival.

Any young player making the grade has been more by good fortune rather than good coaching.

There is good talent in Scotland but absurdly we have missed it as the young lads that moved from Hamilton to English Football has proved. There is also good young talent playing in England that have been recommended to Rangers in the past only for them to ignore the players concerned and two I know, went on to play professional football south of the border.

Warburton has had to effectively start from scratch and thankfully appears to have some good youngsters that were playing under 14's football at the time of the two amigos and hopefully, under progressive leadership they can now prosper.

18 Jan 2017 18:44:36
i am not complaing about king and co but we have now moved on orloaned the following barton crooks walsh hardie aird and a ood few others in return we have 2 arsenal loanees and m o h and possibl others to go does not smack of ambition to me

largebill

1.) 18 Jan 2017 18:54:26
Who's the 2 Arsenal loanee's.? And the way we are playing we need to get the wage out.

1 point fans used to rave about aird now all they do is slate him. I say play him and not let him go.

2.) 18 Jan 2017 19:32:35
Did we get another loan from Arsenal?

3.) 18 Jan 2017 19:33:38
Fifaguy

Fraser Aird has signed for Falkirk till the end of the season.
All the best for the future.

4.) 18 Jan 2017 21:44:36
Bigwull, your post went a wee bit adrift but I agree with what you are trying to get across.
Because of lack of funds and a mis-guided footballing plan, we will drift along as a nonentity of a team, unless we have a radical overhaul.
Throwing money into our club, as it stands, is like flushing it down the pan.
Just one question for all those happy with DK's "plan" and MW's "tactics" and "signings", how we get from where we are to a team capable of competing for the league? Just remebering that getting a suitable merchandising deal is not an overnight cure.

17 Jan 2017 20:23:49
i sometimes despair at the negative comments from murray park davie weir on tele saying spending of £100m would not give u sucess in spl then said when walter signed him the defence waas accused of being hopless then said that was the same critisim as todays defence has been level at them

largebill

1.) 18 Jan 2017 07:12:21
If they truly believe that then the management should pack up and leave! I could guarantee to challenge Celtic with £100m.

2.) 18 Jan 2017 21:59:08
To me he was covering for the players we have brought in
Like u don't always get what u think you are buying
There needs to be more passion coming from the staff he should be saying we can win the league with what we have got it might not b true but you need to believe ie Leicester city take a bow.

I'd love £100 million to spend on players but we don't need that we need to buy players who are proud to play for Rangers players who turn up every week and try there hardest.

There's no constancy with the team but I'm buzzing for next season if we get the second spot then a chance of getting better players threw the door with the money it can generate

3.) 18 Jan 2017 22:50:54
id start a new team give me 100 million and i'd win that league easy.
give that 100 million to thistle and there would be a new big team in glasgow

James, if you gave £100m to any SPL Club there would be a very high probability that they would win the league. Weir should keep quiet and concentrate on sorting out our defence!

with respect it would take a flight here just to offer new deals but there appears to be friction between king and warbrton when warbrton makes a statement like that on contracts being renewed

king won't sell quite simply ecause he would make a loss on his investment because no one would pay top dollar while still fighting with ashley

he was in the herald berating the players he wants to look at his performance in team selection changes during game and tactics last nights changes were abysmal but what gain would there be sacking him just now and who would u get in.

i think he would be better given to end of season with the view to bring someone else in to start fresh meantime mckay and miller should be offered new contracts and foderinham also we were lucky celtic beat aberdeen to keep league position as was although we misssed grateat chance to put some more daylight between us and the dons

if signings are not working out it stands to reason there must be some flak going about krankar and barton were unavoidable senderos total madness ury still out on garner rossiter was let go due to fitness dodo ury still out hodson looks reasonable at fullback and hill the best of the bunch we have seen better perormances of late and a draw against celtic would have been ust warburton has varied his tactics which have helped on another note chelsea £4m offer for gordon i would xay was to much they would be better paying £2m for foderingham whose distribuition i far superior to gordons and as good a shotstopper the lad has come on leaps and bounds this season and next to b mackay is our most sellable players
