mvg180 The problem with being so positive about a negative is that if you are correct none of us will thank you and admit you were right all along. However if you are wrong and he does sign - well no Christmas cards from this site.

Listening to Alan Stubbs on BBC Alba pre kick off I would be astonished if Scott Allan isn't at Ibrox next week.

I think he is a bit better than we have e.g young Murdoch who he left for dead at Ibrox in the play-offs. I think he will fulfill all the potential which showed in his 8 games in the first team at United as a teenager before he moved down south.
I also think now the transfer Will happen.
For us older ones who remember the Souness embrace of Ian Ferguson (then of St Mirren) before his inevitable move to Ibrox the same happened between McCulloch and Allan at the end of the Ibrox game.
If I was a betting man I would put my 50p on a switch to Ibrox shortly

TrueBlueDrew I think you have nailed it mate. The season ticket money/ gates receipts (pay at the gate)plus small amounts of sponsorship and money from sales through Mr Ashley's organisation fall way short of what is needed to get this rusty, slow old juggernaut which fails all it mots through the course of the season.
The two things that ideally need to happen is some public listing and pay Ashley off because if the bears knew all the money was going to the club many many more kits would be purchased. With regard to the shares having had two relatively unsuccessful issues which have been totally consumed there will probably be little to no interest from the city so it is again up to the individual bears and a lot of this will be led through how Mr Warburton's team performs.
Has there ever been a more classic chicken and egg situation?

Spot on Bongo. Don't wish him any ill but do not want him earning any more money from us. If we had a chance to play for our team, be made captain and never be dropped if fit oh and last but not least given a whacking amount of money would we stay? Too many of the utterly loyal bears with their brains in neutral - again.

Well do pardon me GAZ1 I thought there was sufficient levity in my post to not cause offence but obviously sensitivity is not dead in football banter sites.
I would say lad though if you dish it out in the "informative" way you do you should expect an occasional riposte in mild disagreement.

Oops Ed you will have GAZ1,fab1 and DH88 choking on their supper. Mistakenly like most Celtic fans (and bears) they will have thought it was a very derogatory term. Never mind lads I'm sure you will come up with something "more suitable" for us.

{Ed001's Note - it just shows the ignorance of people that it has been used that way, similar to the term barbarian, when barbarians were just anyone that wasn't Roman, many of which were as or even more advanced than the Romans. Mind we call people Neanderthals as well, when they had a larger brain than us, so they were likely to be more intelligent, so it should hardly be used in the way it is.}

Spot on about Tavernier Noddy was my man of the match by some way.What a goal by Andy Halliday as well. Strange to say but Wallace not looking overly convincing at left back. Poor season last year by his own high standards so let's hope he can get back on track soon. Thought Barry MacKay eventually came onto a game after a bad start- might be a confidence thing?

Cee that is the problem mate. Auchenhowie was meant to be a youth development facility not a feckin training ground. Auchenhowie cost £14million plus interest. We could have built a customised training ground for a fraction of that cost.
Now you see what Dundee United do without the benefit of a youth develoment facility -that is fund a lot of their club by finding, developing and then selling on at a huge profit their own youngsters then that was the only/ main purpose of Auchenhowie.
