Tbh I wouldn't change a thing the squad is strong and we shouldn't need to add as they have a good strong bond and play as a squad not just an 11. By the way how good is Davis @ 35 wow he has to be involved manaagement wise once the gaffer inevitably moves on.

Only slight concern I have is who partners Goldson. Balogun can look a bit casual at times and Helander lacks pace. I like Katic so will be interesting to see what happens when he is back. Can’t help thinking Gerrard will keep rotating them and Helander maybe most likely to play old firm games based on last old firm.
Dec and Jan massive months with a lot of away games and then at home a lot. Next old firm is absolutely massive. Win that at it’s a dagger to the heart!

Edmundson screwed up big time, he could have been playing as part of rotation these last 5 or 6 games.

Helander has found an extra yard of pace this season. He was slow last season but seems a bit sharper with a full preseason. His reading of game is excellent.
Balogun has had a few shaky moments but ave been impressed with him.

fans think they are much better when they are out the team - it’s astonishing
helander is good defender but was a riot vs benfica - the clamour to get him back in is absl beyond me.

I think Goldson and Helander are our strongest pairing and Helander Benfica game apart hasn’t put a foot wrong. Hopefully he will be back soon as I rate Big filip. Beyond me how any rangers fan can criticise either Helander or Balogun given our defensive record this year.

Come the January window does anyone believe we will sign any young Scottish players plying their trade in SPL or will we continue to shop abroad? Also do you see any of our current youth players transitioning into genuine 1st team players for the long term.

Lyle Cameron is a no brainer to me, young Scottish and going out of contract. Lennon Milller would be but quite possibly will be out our price range. People need to stop mentioning Danny Armstrong though, he’s 27 (so not even young), not that good and not sure he even qualifies as being home grown in regards of Euro squad as developed down south. So forget him.

Cameron and Millar have played a lot of first team games, do you think they would want to come to ibrox to sit on bench, yes they would be on better money but it would set their careers back. we have loaned out some of our youngsters, but they end up not getting game time, is this because they are not good enough, time to move them on, if some of salaries they are getting is correct, just shows the mess we are in with youth development.

I think Shankland just edges them both at the moment based on what he’s done over the past few seasons. Although think both could be better in the very near future. Need to see both get 20 games under their belts first.
Would definitely sign him on a 2yr deal if the money was right.

What players have done in past seasons is irrelevant zikos, it's the now at present that matters. The now igamane and danilo are much better than shankland.

There would be nothing wrong in getting Shankland in as a third striker assuming we move Dessers on - I don't care about debate is he better or worse than Danillo or Igamane ? - he would be a fine compliment in my eyes to a front squad who will undoubtably have injuries as season progresses.

PC and Koppen are keen to increase the regional talent within the team.
They have one massive concern though, and that's the lack of flexibility/ adaptability with Scottish players.
Take Barron / Raskin for example.
Raskin is in new world terms an 8, but he's been coached from youth to play as a 6, 8, 10 and can also slot in at RB - MB even played him on the RW.
Because of this coaching, he's been able to play the 6 for us and most of the works been on understanding the triggers and transitions that PC wants to use to change our shape.
Barron, also an 8, is a solid player who's been coached from youth to absolutely maximise his potential which has made him really one dimensional.
It's really interesting when you hear PC and his team talk about it and then talk to players like Raskin and Cerny on the differences they see.

Koppen sounds OK to me and seems to get the heritage of the club. His signings, barring maybe Propper, have been good for us.
I'm not counting on anything from tomorrow's game. Tottenham have problems just now but they are still strong and have given Chelsea and Man City hard competitive games recently. I don't think we could do that yet.

Watched canada v Uruguay 3rd place play off and canada were extremely unlucky to lose out on penalties however some of their players would be worth a punt on and wouldn't cost millions to buy. CH that came on Cornelius plays with malmo and a lad shaffelburg who plays in states were excellent however the lad kone was best player on park by a country mile unfortunately Marseille got him but its definitely a market we could afford with the others. The manager ex leeds coach Marsch has canada firing on all fronts, thoughts lads?

For me our midfield just now should consist of kamara/ jack, Raskin, Cantwell, kent, tillman or hagi if fit. It will be interesting to see who goes and who comes in. I for one believe its Beales chance to shine in the market come summer and really show us how he wants to play football by the signings he makes. We have a good squad bit we need to improve and refresh.

Did you mean to put Lundstram instead of kent? For me I’d be selling Kamara Lundstram and Hagi tbh. Use that to buy Tillman and a holding midfielder in the similar mould to Callum McGregor who can control the pace of the game which leaves you with Jack, Lowry, Tillman, Cantwell, Raskin and the new player which is more than enough for us domestically.

I believe wright deserves a run of games to finally get some confidence and continuity in his game. Never in his ibrox career has he been given a chance by starting a run of games. Every manager has deemed him worthy of a squad place so I say let PC make the call, too many in front of him didn't even try in times gone by.

I, like most on here want lunny to stay and I'm sure he will. Its ultimately his choice does he want money or does he want to be competing for trophies on a regular basis and getting a turn at European football. Yes go down south to a mid table team and spend your Saturdays chasing the ball around pitch hardly getting a touch and getting occasionally leathered by the quality of the top 4 down there. Or he could stay with us which speaks for itself, depends how much money is deemed enough and ultimately that's what happens in negotiations in any business it comes down to both party's to meet somewhere in the middle, he must stay IMO!

Agreed pitch was poor for any team trying to play football, however felt the team performed well enough to be deserving of the result. Last trip up there still gave me nightmares so good to get back down road with 3 points. Euro game will take care of itself we need to win the final to inject belief into the squad and give that mob a reminder of who we are.
